Stopped in at Ye Olde Butcher Shop and it did not disappoint! I know Tuesdays are known for their Venison burgers, but I went for the Buffalo burger (available every day) and wow — it was amazing. They pile on all the fresh veggies you want, and the bun was perfect — soft but held together all the way through, no crumbling mess. Their iced tea was freshly brewed and even came out steaming hot before cooling down, which tells you how fresh it was. Great food, friendly vibe, and I can’t wait to come back!

What a great place to grab a bite to eat. So many different kinds of burgers to choose from. The good old ground beef one is one of the best I’ve ever had. Don’t forget a fried pie or some fresh meat from the butcher counter on your way out!

As the website and menu says, the Ye Ole Butcher Shop has been in business since 1974 or over 50 years. The staff are so friendly and fun and the burgers are very, very good. I ordered the butcher shop burger with cheese and my husband ordered the buffalo burger. He said his burger was very good but since it is buffalo, the patty was very lean. I love the crazy decor and the T-shirts for sale that say “I am Buff”. I even liked the poster in the women’s restroom. The restaurant has a good sense of humor! Highly recommend.

If you’re in Plano, Tx you must take a stroll to the old Downtown area and step back in time with a delicious meal at Ye Ole Butcher Shop. This place definitely is not for vegetarians. Not only does it have the best burger, bison burger, sandwiches, it also has hands-down, the best homemade fried pies you’ve ever eaten. As a kid growing up in Plano my parents would always get our meat here. I was happy to see they still have the best cut of meat available in town. if you stop by be sure and tell them that Chicago sent you.

Got the buffalo burger. Definitely will be going back. They have daily specials for different burgers like elk, deer, wild hog, and a ribeye sandwich.

Yum! Big AS.. burger! Fries made right. Not much seasoning, but right. Not greasy. The grill opens and closes at specific times, meaning their open but might not be cooking. Next time I will probably try a steak from the butcher😉

A great old school deli with fantastic options for a variety of meats. We went in specifically to get a hamburger tater, tots and a rhubarb fried pie. All were delicious. I appreciate the atmosphere and a small town pace. Local comfort done right.

Fantastic burgers! Love the Buffalo burger. Need to make it back to try the elk, deer, or boar. I'm sure they'll be amazing too! Came back on a Tuesday for the buck burger and it was great! It's a much more lean burger without some other meat helping bring some fat to the patty, but definitely tasty!

I've eaten the Buffalo & Elk Burgers several times, but this is the 1st time trying a Ribeye & Fries Day Burger. It was delicious. Perfectly cooked. Every bite was tasty & tender. Mmmgood! I had it with tots instead of fries. It was even better because I'm a V.I.P. Member, and received a 25% off discount for my birthday. A positive shout out to everyone in the kitchen. Keep up the good work Jeff!

Amazed to see a family owned Butcher.. I just found this place looking for fresh cut meats and was so pleasantly surprised by how a simple small shop could make the most amazing "Fresh" Cheeseburger 🍔 Literally the Best Burger Ever. The owner is the sweetest thing. Texan gentleman.. I will definitely be back for some more fresh cut steaks & Fried 🍑 pie. 😋

This place has the most wonderful service, very Texas feel, but I ordered Marbled Brisket. It was the driest unflavored reheated piece of meet I have ever had. It wasn’t fresh, very disappointing. Giving this place a 2 only because of great service and atmosphere.
