The food here is amazing! They cook it all from scratch so don't expect super fast food!! Like the menu says, enjoy the wait! You'll be glad you did!! I had the Seafood Alfredo and actually got shivers when I took the first bite! It was so good! The shrimp were huge and there were dozens of scallops! It is a small place at the end of a strip mall type building. They only take cash or checks but there is an ATM machine inside. And let me tell you the food is worth it! I can't wait to go back and try their Lasagna which is one of their most popular dishes. Went back again and had the Lasagna it was HUGE and also had the lemon cake with raspberry topping to go. So flavorful and delicious! Been back several times, this time I tried The Don, sautéed mushrooms were so delicious I could just eat those as a side dish! Grilled chicken over Alfredo sauce and noodles. A few weeks ago I took a friend and she had the chicken Parmesan sandwich, it was huge and she said it was the best she ever had.
Left speechless, food, staff, atmosphere all amazing, definitely worth it in every way. will be coming back (bruschetta and mascarpone ,the don ,chicken francese,to good not to eat before photos)
Updated review 05/31/25. We were finally able to eat here and man was it worth it! The food is authentic, scratch, home cooked meals and cooked to order. It is a traditional italian feast. Be prepared to wait because it isn't fast food. The owner does the cooking! Music playing was traditional italian folk music. Prices are good, server was awesome. If you want an authentic Italian experience, this is your place! I have stopped by here twice when they were supposed to be open and they were closed. I will call before I make a trip over there again.
We went here with a group of 6 on Easter. It was absolutely amazing. We had been driving all day, the food was delicious and the servers were so friendly and accommodating. The wait time was pretty long because they cook everything there from scratch, but it was definitely worth it. They made GF pasta on request and they were super considerate of allergens. Our server was so so nice and the whole atmosphere was great. Would totally recommend.
Everything was so amazing!! Nonna Lisa is the best! We were so lucky to have found such a gem! Make sure you make time because the cooking is fresh and delicious!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
What a great authentic Italian restaurant in Plattsburgh! The owners are three sisters using their mother’s Italian recipes and the food was delicious! We just stopped in for lunch on our way to Quebec City for my birthday and we saw the reviews and decided to stop to eat. It’s even better than what was said in the reviews. Very nice atmosphere and music. Outstanding service from the owners that are very friendly and a well decorated dining room plus another more casual room that’s also perfect. Our food was delicious! The tomato sauce was outstanding and my grandmother would approve! A good tomato sauce is key in an Italian restaurant. I’m Italian from NYC and I’m very picky about my food. For dessert we had the cannoli dip and it was delicious! The Italian cheese cake is also a favorite. I highly recommend eating here if you’re in town or passing through like we were. Trust me that’s Italian the real deal!! We’ll be back again. The lasagna is another favorite here and from what the owner told me they make it like my grandmother (Nonna) used to do so it’s mouth watering! The food here is made with love! Boun appetito!!
Best Italian food I've had!! Cozy dining atmosphere. You will want to come back and try everything!!
Very relax atmosphere and homemade Italian cuisine! Very underrated restaurant but certainly worth it! Delicious all around!

We were visiting Platsburg from Albany NY and stop at Nonnalisas for dinner. So glad we stopped here. The food is amazing with big portions. My wife got the Egg Plant parm and it was excellent. I got the chicken marsala and that was also amazing. Cooked to perfection. If this place was up on the main road and not in the back of a strip mall I don't know how they would keep up with the customers. Its a hidden gem. The women that took our order was a sweetheart. We will definitely be stopping in our next time we are up their. Oh almost forgot we got taramisu to go and that was the icing on the cake. Amazing. This place reminds me of home cooking. Much better then your chain restaurants.
I am 4th generation Italian American. My grandma came here from Italy. I had a chicken Parm Sammy. The bread was fresh and the sauce was perfect. The chicken was cooked perfectly. Thanks for a good quality meal , after work. I drove all the way here from Keen, NY!!
Since the food is made from scratch, you're going to have to wait on your dinner but it is so worth it. We had a great meal, and the food was so fabulous. We were there on a trip, but when we go back through again I guess that's where we're going to be eating
We found this gem on a Google search, and we were rewarded with great service and the most delicious food! Our waitress was very friendly. The food is made from scratch and you can taste that in every bite!
Delicious and authentic Italian’s food, made from scratch, the waiting was so worthy. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. We are planning our next visit although we live a little bit far away, after all Italy 🇮🇹 is further away.
We went twice. Very delicious chicken Marsala! The chef was very nice both times but we haven’t met her sister yet. Hoping to next time we go. Good homemade manicotti shells and dish. The salad dressing was so tasty, too. Veggies were fresh. No room for dessert the first time so we knew better the next time and took it home with us to eat after our stomachs made the room!! Very yummy… fresh cream😊🙏 If the Italian music isn’t on, just request it. Not sure if they got their license to sell wine and beer yet. Might be able to bring in your own?? Call first to check, though. Don’t want anyone closing down this gem. They were hoping to open up the bigger dining room but that was back a few months ago so I don’t know if they did yet. Enjoy! 😉 We did!!
The food was amazing, I had the broccoli and chicken Alfredo and my partner had the chicken Parmesan. We finished with a cheesecake with berries. It was probably the best Italian food I’ve ever eaten. It’s a shame we live so far away! Service was great and there were so many little things about the interior that really pulled the place together: the tables, centerpieces, the lights, a cool little glass dragon on the window!! It was a great experience and I am sure we’ll stop here again next time we visit. You should too!!
I went here for the 1st time today and loved it! It's quaint and very clean. Ordered a side garden salad and it came with shredded cheese on top with an amazing creamy Italian dressing. The olives were authentic, careful the green ones may have pits but so delicious. Family run, excellent dishes, and friendly staff. Highly recommend. Wheelchair accessible.

In a mostly abandoned shopping mall is this small restaurant with absolutely genuine authentic Italian food ... and the best part is the ricotta Cheesecake is actually authentic...top-notch

First time, first impression: a nice clean restaurant. Ordered spaghetti with meat sauce and spaghetti with meatballs. Got two huge bowls full of freshly cooked spaghetti, covered with homecooked sauce and freshly made meatballs. Ate half, took home the other half which we enjoyed even better the next day. The bread served was room temperature, not the best, but the butter was also room temperature (not hard and cold like some restaurants) and easy to spread. Bring cash, credit cards are not accepted. (They have an ATM for those who do not heed this warning!). We would come back.

The food was amazing, service, however, was very slow. It appeared that they were very understaffed with a cook and another person serving, answering the phone, doing dishes, and handling all the takeout orders. The poor dear seemed stressed. Inside, the atmosphere is clean and tasteful, but the view out the windows is of a rundown shopping plaza. Maybe some faux stained glass would make you feel transported out of an old shopping plaza. 🤔
I'm conflicted on my review because my son's meal " The God Father" was out of this world delicious, however I got spaghetti and meatballs with angel hair and I was not pleased at all. My pasta was overcooked, sauce was bland ( not enough to even cover all my pasta ) and the meatballs were dry, hard & lacked flavor. Maybe some nice mozzarella would have helped but I've had better pasta at home from a jar and I didn't expect terrible meatballs from a place with such great reviews. I don't often leave these kind of reviews and I feel bad but it definitely is not work the money for spaghetti and meatballs!! However I highly recommend their God Father dish!!! That was absolutely delicious!

This was our first time to this restaurant. The hostess/waitress was busy talking with another customer so we had to wait to be seated. The restaurant was very chilly and my wife used her jacket to stay warm. We were informed they were out of lasagna. Our order was simple: spaghetti with meatballs and cheese manicotti. I substituted angel hair for the spaghetti pasta. The manicotti needed to be baked which took approximately 20 minutes. When the food arrived, I noticed spaghetti pasta mixed in with the angel hair with both pasta types being overcooked. The meatballs (2) were huge and difficult to slice up. In addition, they were cold in the middle and tasteless. The sauce used to cover both meals was sparse and possessed little Italian taste. It seemed to be more like chopped tomatoes in a very thin sauce. My wife’s manicotti was also cold and the individual manicottis were tough/difficult to slice up. All in all, I feel being out of one of their most reviewed menu items (lasagna) was unacceptable. The other menu items were cold, overcooked and different to cut into pieces. The overall taste also left a lot to be desired. This was our first and unfortunately last visit to this restaurant.
Chicken Marsala was spicy, no alcohol, just beer and wine.
