We were a somewhat large group so we had to wait a little while for a table, but the servers were very nice and accommodating. And the food was with the wait!

Excellent! I love Asian but I don’t eat meat. Too often the Noodle restaurats in Manhattan are primarily meat and the vegetarian dish is not that good. But finally at Yum Yum in Red Hook, I found the perfect menu: you can choose your noodles, broth, and protein, and the bowl has vegetables, mushrooms, egg. I chose rice noodles, coconut curry broth and house-made seitan. The broth was wonderful—so good and flavorful! My husband had ramen, pork and chicken broth and braised pork, and he loved his as well. We definitely will be back! Had I read some of the reviews I might not have come, which would have been a real mistake! It was really worth it!

Sooooo good! The curry coconut broth was fabulous.

How nice to have Yum Yum Noodle Bar in Red Hook. We have eaten at their Kingston location many times and now we can get to our noodle bowl fix in just minutes. The Red Hook location is bright and airy with floor to ceiling windows facing Route 9 (Broadway) and lots of light wood. My personal favorite is an udon noodle bowl with dashi/miso or curry, beef or tofu and lots of togarashi. Pair it up with two or three Thai iced coffees. Yum!

Fresh & Authentic, even if you're not hungry get Take-away, such a pleasant surprise., Miso beef soup with noodles had just enough spice *enough for 4, & Taco's with Kimchee & beef are well balanced

Having never tried noodle bowls before, my husband and I decided to stop in on a whim. This place is so good, and we can't wait to go back. I had a noodle bowl with rice noodles, chicken, and coconut curry broth- so good!! It was very tasty and the portion was huge! The chicken was BEYOND tender. We also tried the braised pork steamed buns and the crabcake steamed buns. (Those were new for us too.) They were excellent. Little pillows of yumminess... I wanted to eat more of them but they were so filling. I can't wait to go back to try their other items.

Setting the scene… just picked flowers at Brittany hollow farm and stopped to get a lil late lunch. Food: delish! Crispy dumplings, they make it spicy like real real spicy when you want it to be. Cocktails Are fab and not lacking on the natural aromatics. Service: their server Josh is a the MOST personable and friendly server. MVP Star!!!

The food was delicious!!!! And plenty of it !!!! I blessed to have tried that carrot cake 😆 🤣 that was amazing.. great service

Loved it! Most bowls are "make your own", choose your noodle, broth, protein. Plus a huge "specials" menu. My noodle soup was so yummy, I had the rice noodles in chicken/pork broth with braised pork. The broth was tasty and savory. Ample protein. Noodles were fresh. I do wish they had a Pho option and a little more broth in the bowl, but that's just me. Definitely going back.

Love this place. Food, service, and atmosphere, are always excellent. Brought our vegetarian friends on our second visit. They were impressed by all the options. I'm looking forward to eating my way through the menu.

We were headed to another restaurant for dinner but got drawn in by Yum Yum instead. It's a great location, lovely use of the space, and nicely lit. The portions were large, even for the kids menu. The service was fast and friendly, and the food was delicious. What can I say, but yum yum!

Absolutely wonderful! Service was great, atmosphere was fun, food was amazing! My date and I both got very different noodle bowls and ended up sharing them because we couldn’t decide which we liked better. He wasn’t a huge fan of the beer selection but the strawberry mint lemonade I had was delicious. We will definitely be back-and soon!

Get the Steamed buns- pork with sauce and cucumbers! That's a meal all by itself and so delish! I want more! First time trying Ramen bowl and it was amazing! Took home left overs! Will be back!

My wife had been there several times before me and raved about it. After a hike along the Hudson we went for lunch on a Saturday. We had our dog with us and sat outside. The staff was very friendly, personable and nice, helpful all the way. Yum is very dog friendly and they even have a dog menu. The waitress was as attentive to my dog as to us, bringing cold water right away. The food was absolutely delicious. I had ramen with pork, and the pork was exceptionally good, roasted and flavored well. It was a very hot day and I enjoyed the passion fruit mojito, made just perfectly as they held the syrup per my request. The entire experience was really wonderful. I can't say enough about how delicious the food was. We will be back!

I ate here as a pit-stop between NYC and Glens Falls. I was completely exhausted and needed something to fuel my body and soul. I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting much from an Asian fusion place in NY. However, I was very impressed! I was one of 2 other people eating here mid-afternoon and got the pad thai with salmon. I've never seen pad thai served with salmon so I wanted to give it a try. Delicious!! They paid special attention to me since the restaurant was pretty much empty at the time, but it felt nice either way. Their presentation in food and decor is very much asking to be photographed, it's a cute little place. Clearly run by white people (from what I can see), but it's nice!

Best ramen around! So many build your own options and the soup is hardy. I'm always left with leftovers for the next meal. If I could eat here everyday I would. The bubble tea is also delicious!!

Came in for the first time with the love of my life... I ordered the Miso-Sake Cured Salmon with a Long Island Iced Tea. My love ordered the Pork Dumplings with a Cherry Yuzu Whiskey Sour which personally I think that Yuzu tastes horrible but that's personal preference. Sky our server was awesome she made the drinks which were absolutely delicious and the food was amazing. The environment is very nice inside they have booth tables and a bar area. I must say tho Ethan creates the ambiance through the energy that just radiates off of him with his attentiveness and overall attitude. The cook Leidy must be some sort of magician because our food was made and out faster than I could write this review. The salmon was perfect and I might add a great amount for the price of the dish.

Great space - we were with two kids under 5 and the space was perfect. Not too noisy and not too quiet where the kids would disrupt others. Also food was amazing and very extensive menu. Bubble tea galore. Highly suggest the red curry stew, the salmon and the burger… all favs. This will be our weekly spot.

Of the three YumYum Noodle Bar locations I've been to... the one in Red Hook seems to be the most spacious and still keeps its charm.... and even with just one front and one back staff... food and service was prompt. Highly recommend!

I've dined at the Yum Yum Noodle bar location in Woodstock, NY, with some frequency and always enjoy the delicious food and superb service, so, while near Red Hook earlier today, I thought I'd give this location a try. Service was prompt and friendly from Ethan and the other team working there. The place was spotlessly clean and nicely appointed. The food was just a incredible as ice had at their Woodstock location. Perfection!

This place is so cute and the Bao buns with pork belly are amazing. Definitely a cute little place to grab some great food. The ginger tea wasn't good until I asked for simple syrup with it and then it was perfect. The coconut curry was a no for me but my friend loved hers. The pork tan tan was also really good choice. I ordered mine with a soft boiled egg and it was heavenly, Also the cocktails are great.

This is a great place to get a vegetarian meal in Red Hook. The beer selection is superb as well and the desserts are portioned just right. I would advise eating in as takeout incurs an extra fee.

Went to Yum Yum Noodle in Red Hook after work with a coworker who has said often how he wanted to go. We gave their Korean Nachos and Honey Sriracha wings a whirl, and I may have to do something about the mighty need I have for another taco! The wings were tasty but I think they needed a little more sriracha, because the honey sort of overpowered them. The dipping sauce was based on the wing's sauce Korean Tacos with pork are now my everything order there. The sambal, sriracha mayo dressing was astonishing! He tried their "Drunkin" Noodle with crispy tofu, (his first at tofu, and first time with drunken noodles AND chopsticks) while I stuck with my pork belly in coconut curry broth udon - my go to. Our server was prompt, polite, and helpful. The music was at the perfect volume, and every song just hit that nail on the head. Perfect station choice. I love that Yum Yum came to Red Hook; I hope it stays for a long time because every time I go, I leave so happy!

Food was good. The place has a nice look but it was a little awkward to be seated directly next to another party when there were plenty of other seats open. Would consider going again as the food was pretty good and filling. Overall service was fairly quick and friendly.

Food is good. the Pork Buns are my favorite. They have hamburgers but no ketchup. I would rate them 3.5 based on the food itself but that is not an option. If you want affordable good noodles and a pleasant crowd. Yum Yum Is the place to go.

We enjoy Yum Yum on a fairly regular basis. The food is a little pricey but the drinks and kid's dishes are very reasonable. Recommend the spicy coconut curry with ramen noodles and beef. Also the Korean tacos are fantastic and make a pretty decent main if you add a third taco. Also a fan of the rotating specials and that they occasionally throw some new things on the board. Dining out options are limited in Red Hook and seem to be diminishing by the day, but we're fortunate to have Yum Yum here. Their food is good and the service for dine in is always pleasant.

The only place in my area where you can get anything Korean. I love Yum Yum. Cheesecake for dessert was awesome too.

J
Jordan Barrett

The food I've gotten here has generally been excellent, especially the ramen. The Pad Thai was less good. There was a large volume of thin, brothy liquid rather than a thick sauce that clings to the noodles. The flavor was great though. My biggest demerit is for the awful paper straws - get some decent compostable straws please!

H
Heather Killmer

Well 1st timers here. Ordered teas mixed drinks Chai teas. Well my son loves his noodle bowls with pork. Fried pork dumplings he was happy. His Good friend from Australia ordered a noodle bowl also. Myself I ordered a lobster sandwich delicious. My husband ordered cung pao noodle and loved the dish and the pork. All were hearty and large portions enjoyed by all.

G

Food is consistently flavorful with reliable menu options and interesting specials to round things out. Authentic fresh Asian ingredients. Covid outdoor dining works well and friendly staff is excellent in maneuvering it all. Indoor bench tables are the only downside to this otherwise, fun dining experience.

S
Sean Murphy

Took kind of a survey style of the menu, had dumplings, pork belly buns and the (two pork) special which was again pork belly, rice noodles and lettuce. I also had some apple cider sake. It was all tasty - I've had better noodles and pork bun in places like new York City or Providence RI but it was very surprising to find this level of cuisine in little red Hook. I would go back - staff was very friendly and I had a great time with my friends

The vegan food is good and works well for me. I've eaten here multiple times. We prefer takeout 🥡 over dine in. I've tried curbside pickup several times: It's been a consistent problem. They tell you to call them when you are parked outside and they will bring you the food. This time I did as instructed. When you call them, the Noise level is so loud that you actually have to yell as loud as you can - just to hear yourself! Seriously unpleasant! I let them know that I am right outside the window. Then I waited patiently. Got involved with my phone. No problem. They left my order sitting on the counter inside getting cold and they forgot about it! I could have sat patiently for another half hour, without them realizing. Eventually, I realized that there is something wrong so I called again. The young lady brought it out, acknowledged that she forgot about it and apologized. That's appropriate. It seems that curbside pickup is too complicated for them to manage or the team is overwhelmed. Could I suggest a systems improvement? Maybe a yellow post It tag for curbside pickup to distinguish it from inside pickup? Whatever they need to make it work? Helpful?

Really nice place to eat noodles and ramen. They have specials too. But I highly recommend the Red Curry Seafood Stew. I wanted the kids to taste it, so we asked for a milder curry flavor, the yellow curry. Will definitely try the Red curry next time. I guess the name of the restaurant says it all. Really YumYum!

Fun spot for some noodles and boba. You can design your own noodle bowl which is super fun. They’ve also got appetizers (I’d recommend the pork dumplings) and plates to choose from. Service is timely and inside the ambiance is quiet and not very crowded. Would go again if in the area.

Tried this place tonight and ordered the following dishes, fried pork dumplings, Korean beef tacos and Kung Pao noodles and wash it down with some Blue Point Shore Thing Lager. The fried dumplings were ok, maybe steamed would have been better, next time. I enjoyed the Korean beef tacos with kimchi & gochujang mayo. The kung pao noodles- spicy ramen with peanuts, fried egg & veggies was delicious and had some kick, thought it would be spicier. All dishes came out hot and quickly. Nice place.

The place was clean. The service was a little slow. Now this may just be me, but I didn't know what to expect at a noodle bar. I must say that $13.50 seems like a lot of money for what amounts to a bowl of soup. The the taste was fine but nothing special.

T
Ter Fra

Itz okay for the region but aint the real deal. Stay away from the coconut based broth, the others were much better. A for effort, C for results. Overall service was decent without any personality save for one server.

Decent food. A little more expensive and less flavorful than I remember but I did eat it up. I think their alcoholic drinks are good so that might be what I was missing.

A
Anshuman Bhatia

I guess you shouldn’t expect much from a noodle bar in a small town. The brother was really lacking in flavor, and the bowl was really sloppily put together. I know it’s a make your own, but I still expected some presentation. The two waitstaff were more interested in talking about school then even checking in with me to make sure the meal was ok. Not sure why they were so busy, I was the only other one in the place. Would have to give this place a hard pass unless you have a severe noodle hankering.

1Real truth Right now

What the heck happened to this place from 9 months ago??? Did it change owners? Different cooks or management? There is like no taste in most of the dishes. Not like before. Serice really fell off. I don't get this. Please fix this immediately.

J
Jason Fried

Years ago this was a five. But recently I’ve just had subpar experiences. Service was good but the food just isn’t at the same level it used to be. Dishes look the same but seem to be lacking in the flavor department. If you’re the owner reading this I recommend you do a taste test on the dl and implement a 90 day improvement plan. 😬🤷🏻‍♂️

M
Maria Kolodziej-Zincio

If you plan on dinning or order on line expect at least a 30-40 minute wait. Short on staff and the place was crowded. I was not impressed with my Seafood Chowder. Very little seafood - tough calamari. Mostly watery broth and there was more rice than the actual meal and for that the amt was overpriced. Although some items on the menu seemed good. Will not order that again.

D
Daisy Gooz3

I ordered the Pad Thai disband I give this a 3 out 5 stars, because presentation was excellent, the texture very good, well decorated, but the flavor was a bit bland. It had a wonderful kick to it. The cleanness of the restaurant I give it a 5 out of 5. Customers service was ok,, The dumplings were very good. I would visit again.

Food is 5 star Comfort 3 star Service 3 star NOT A FAN of backless wooden benches The server was pleasant but not well trained. She was hovering as if she needed the table This was a Saturday about 1pm. The Restaurant was practically empty. We had to ask her for napkins, the food didn't come in right order and we were asked "do you want to TAKE OUT some desert?". Food was amazing but next time we'll order take out!

I haven't come across a noodle bar in the 5 years I've been in upstate NY and Yum Yum was like discovering a long lost friend. It is a little on the pricy side, but has a great selection in creating your own noodle bowl (and lots of vegetarian options). There is something lacking in how the noodles are cooked, a few times mine weren't cooked all the way through and were stuck in a clump, and the same can be said for the overall flavor, it's a bit on the bland side. Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is unique and fun, catering to a younger (college age) demographic.

J
Jay Churnetski

Great food. It's always a delicious meal. I've been coming here for a few years in spite of the consistently cold and unfriendly service because the food is so good. Unfortunately I noticed today that that actually charge a 10% TAKEOUT FEE. Talk about Nickel and dimeing your loyal customers to squeeze every penny you can from them. Looks like we won't be going back. This kind of business practice tells you exactly how the owners see the customers that support them. We'll choose to support businesses that know better.

Javier Kohen

The ramen was fine, enjoyable and filling, but nothing to call home about. The staff was friendly, but service was extremely slow. Inside it's relaxed, with mostly shared tables and bar seating.

I have been here a few times and I do like the ambiance and the food selection is really nice . But I ordered my daughter one soup asked for no mushrooms after 15 minute drive each way and paying 17.24 for one soup it had mushrooms . Very disappointing.

S
Steven Grisé

The food is bland and pathetic. Perfect if your taste buds don’t work. Also, they tack on an outrageous take out fee that doesn’t go to their employees. There are better options out there for much cheaper.

P
Paul LaBarbera

I was a very big fan of their NOODLE bowl. I ordered it a few days ago and sent it back. Bland broth and noodles that were clumped together. It was also served at room temperature. My friends also knew the ending of my story before I finished it.

L

Food boring. Noodles way over cooked, seasoning dull. I can cook much better myself. Service mediocre and distracted and there were few dining at the time. Seriously doubt I will go back, not even worth the drive from Rhinebeck.

C

We had a great experience in early November on a Saturday. We were impressed with the woman chef seemingly doing it all. The flavors were amazing and the ingredients all seemed super fresh. We loved it so much we came back early December on another Saturday- driving an hour from Connecticut to get there. Our expectations may have been too high after the first experience. The male chef today didn’t really hit the mark on flavor- as I got the same dish and it was just ok. The salad that came with the dish was drowning in sauce and I could barely eat it. I heard a lot of customers complaining about their food being too cold and other problems- which were sent back. I hope this was just a really off day. The hard part was coming in to all this from the cold only to be really cold sitting there inside. No heat. Everyone was wearing their coats and knit hats.

I
Ivan Rothkopf

If your signature dish is noodles and broth it should at least be hot. Not Luke warm. Peanut noodles were too chewy and the sauce too thick.

C
Caroline G

It was very clean but the food just wasn't 100%. I ordered the create your own ramen but the broth really could have used more miso flavoring. The dumplings we ordered (fried vegetable) were excellent. A glass of green tea was 3$. That was honestly too expensive. At a normal resturant it is about 1$ with free refills. Just not a place I would want to go back to.

C
CROCODILE

If you've never had this kind of food you will probably enjoy it for being something new and different. If you have then you will likely be disappointed. They just aren't putting in the effort which, having worked in a bunch of kitchens, is in all likelyhood an issue with the management not the cooks just to be clear. Space is nice though, just need to invest in food R&D.

We have eaten at the RedHook location for years- since it opened. Have not ordered or eaten there in about 9-10 months. Ordered last night-2 meals and 2 appetizers. Not sure who is in charge lately but our order was not ready when we got there- claiming they never got it. We had fully paid. We waited once they found it. We waited a while and were so dissatisfied with quality and taste. The cook sent out burned pot stickers. The lotus buns had a teaspoon of pork and for the price, it was shameful. Never eating there again. Most expensive meal our dogs had last night as we could not eat what was given to us!

My wife and I ate here for lunch today. We both love Asian food and were happy to find a noodle place in Red Hook but after eating here we were surprised to read all the positive reviews. We shared an order of pork dumplings and then both had a noodle bowl (their signature dish), mine was pork with soba, my wife had curry chicken with ramen noodles. The pork in the dumplings was tough. And the noodle bowls were not good. In both cases, the stock was thin and watery, lacking any richness that is typical in ramen and pho, and didn’t seem to have any discernible Asian flavorings Iginger, garlic, star anise, curry). My wife’s soup had large chunks of flavorless chicken. Mine had pork with browned skin which was okay. To both were added chopped lettuce (!) a hard cooked boiled egg, a few mushrooms and bits of corn and very mediocre noodles. Even the boba tea my wife ordered was watery. The service was pleasant and the atmosphere okay. The food was the problem. It’s possible we were there on an off day (new chef?) but I cannot recommend this place based on our experience.

Went for the second time tonight to YUMYUM in Red Hook. The first time we went was when they first opened and I thought the service couldn’t get any worse but low and behold I was wrong. Walked in tonight, 1 girl working. Took about three full minutes to be acknowledged. She finally told us to sit anywhere so we did. Another 7-8 mins to get a menu. She came back to take our order after another 10 mins or so. When she came back she said “were short staffed I’m here all alone” In my opinion, 4 tables isnt alot to get zero acknowledgement. (which is the same excuse we heard last time) She took our orders, never asked if we wanted drinks. App came out in a timely fashion but we had no utensils or napkins so I got up both times to get them myself. She was standing right in front of me at bar when I grabbed them both times and she never acknowledged me or said anything. We never saw her again for rest of meal. The bus boy dropped the food on our table. There were four tables total eating, us included. I would think if you’re that short staffed and to have service this bad the place would be packed but it wasn’t. Why wasn’t a manger there to help if “there was a schedule mix up”?? The phone was ringing non stop, neither her or the bus boy picked it up so it just continued to ring in our ears which was super annoying. The waitress was however one her cell phone 2x throughout our one hour visit (clearly talking in front of everyone seated) Should have stayed home. Def won’t be giving this restaurant a third chance. Service isn’t good. I’d suggest hiring staff with more experience, the staff isn’t friendly (either time we went)and frankly aren’t great waitresses. When your paying for $20 for ramen you expect good service and they failed both times. Next time I crave ramen, I’ll buy the .24 cent pack at Shoprite.

We stood in the doorway for more than 5 minutes and no one even glanced at us or attempted to find out if we wanted to be seated. We finally left and went somewhere way better. Go to The Tasting Room in Rhinebeck, you'll be so much happier!

I ordered their house specialty for that day in December 2021, and it was very disappointing. Service was ok, but the food they served was not worth $16, I wouldn’t even try this particular place again even they offer a free meal.

I’ve loved this place since before they were in red hook but that last two bowls I’ve had it literally tastes like something went sour Idk if they changed the recipe or what but it’s so disappointing. The Woodstock location is SO much tastier.

This noodle chain is quite pathetic. Their big slurpy bowls of soup do the most bare minimum in terms of flavor and everything else. I was saddened to see them expand to red hook as I was familiar with them in Woodstock and Kingston and gave them multiple chances. All their locations provide pretty sub par dining experiences. If you like a cold atmosphere, metal chairs and screaming kids it’s good for that. I mean it’s def fine for a quick bite with kids or something but it does not live up to its name “yum yum”. Also waY too pricey for what your getting. If I was you I would hold out and go anywhere else.

Abominable service. I've eaten regularly at the location in Kingston, but had to wait over 30 for a to go order on a very slow Saturday. No one seemed to know what they were doing and only after three people got their food before me did anyone bother to inquire about my order which had apparently been forgotten and had to be actually made at that time. Nothing that I'd requested was complicated or unusual. No excuses folks and I won't be back to this location.

Went on Thursday. One day after it I got really sick and couldn't leave the bathroom. Turns out (after spending 3 nights in the hospital) i got salmonella yayyy! So unless you like having some new companions in your gut i would recommend you to not come here...

The worst place I've eaten. Servers were inattentive. Food was tasteless and tooo Expensive for a place that's not good at asian foods. $30 for one dish of pad thai. You got to be kidding. It should have cost $12. Beware of hidden fees. If you order shrimp they will charge a separate fee of $2 a peice. They should stick to cooking they know best. BURGERS AND FRIES.

There was one server she was trying her hardest but couldn't keep up. The food didn't match what the menu said. I got served the wrong drinks. It looked like the one I ordered but when I drank it it was an alcoholic beverage and I'm not a drinker. Didn't get my actual drink till after my meal was served. Was given my receipt but charged someone else's total. Had to have it refunded then recharged. Many people were getting upset with the server and walked out on her and were being very rude to her. It wasn't her fault. Its managements fault. They need to assure their restaurant is properly staffed. I would not recommend going here on nights they may be busy. They can't handle it.

Absolutely cheesed. First off the waiters and bartenders were uncoordinated wen it came to ordering drinks. Then we order drinks to find a skimpy cup full of ice and little beverage. At first it wasn’t Upsetting because I thought the drink would be cheap because of how little quantity. Wen I received the check I look down and see 7 dollars! 7 dollars for a cup full of ice and little beverage. Terrible experiance this restruant wack. So wack I took 5 minutes out of my day to write this review.

If it was possible on this page, I would give a -5/5. Yum yum... more like dumb dumb. Disgusting ramen soup. Instant noodles with a nasty bland college inn broth with bland pork, chicken, and beef....the appetizers weren’t great. They don’t know what a steamed pork bun is. Because it looked like an open mess, Korean tacos were messy and $10 for 2 tacos..... overpriced and not worth it. My Girlfriend is pregnant and can’t have the egg in her ramen, yet they still put it in there. All the food was supposedly Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese but it was an all around mess and an Asian fusion confusion! The atmosphere and decor was as bland as the food and the waitress we had, had a horrible attitude. Not worth trying at all.

We came into the establishment and sat at the bar for 45minutes. Despite numerous employees running back and forth behind the bar nobody helped us. We finally decided to place the order online. In the meantime we continued to sit there, finally asking if we could please just get some water. I asked to speak to a manager and was told no manager was here tonight. Horribly run establishment.

Second tike over the past 2 years that I tried this place. Figured I'd give it another shot. I was sent charred vegi dumplings. If I was the owner I would have been ashamed to send that out. Needless to say it went to the garbage.

Can’t believe how bad. This place used to be great. I ordered two noodle bowls( tried online and when ready to pay got kicked off and it said to call.......) Called/ ordered. Two noodle bowls. Ordered extra egg one one (mind your online prices differ from in house ) No extra egg as ordered in one and zero vegetables for a double veg bowl 2nd noodle bowl- chicken Hardly any chicken/no vegetables Hardly worth $35 Called when I got home- Zero apology Told me to call the owner and gave me a number which was never responded to. 👎👎 Never again. 11/25/2020

The staff were very nice, but the food was gross. If you want watery Pad Thai and oddly flavored noodle soup, you can go there. Soupy Pad Thai — first time in my life.
