This restaurant was delightful. It has a great atmosphere, the food was delicious and the staff was extremely friendly. We were just in S.F. For one night and staying at the JW Marriott so it was a quick two block walk.

I absolutely love this place. The food is phenomenal, the service is exceptional and the manager Sam is amazing and really makes guests feel welcomed. My friend and I try to get here once every other month. I also like to bring friends visiting from out of town here. I also recommend this place on the regular.

10/10! Would go out of my way to come back. Alan was our server and he was excellent. Not aggressive, and had perfect timing of when to check in with us. Knowledgable and nice with anything we asked about. The sauce with the mussels was phenomenal. The garlic mashed potatoes. Amazing. The espresso martini was great. Even just the BREAD was wonderful. Not a single thing the entire table disliked. Be sure to stop by!

We were visiting San Francisco and randomly stopped in Aliment. The atmosphere is clean and inviting and we were seated right away. We were there during happy hour so we got Panko prawns, steak tacos, fries and Buffalo sliders. Everything was delicious and served fresh. Sam was our server and he was very helpful and friendly! I would definitely check this place out if you're in the area!

A full 5 stars! The steak was perfect and the chicken sandwich was amazing. The hand cut fries were outstanding. The service was great. Off the beaten path for tourist, but worth the short walk from Chinatown.

I reserved a table here for my sister's 30th birthday. We were greetly promptly and all our servers were lovely. However, the bartender (possible manager) Sam was the best. He made us laugh, chatted with us for a while, made us drinks based on preference which were INCREDIBLE. The food was delicious and the only 'bad' part were my prawns being overcooked. I'd highly recommend trying this place!

I've come here twice this month because of proximity to the Masonic. Most everything is delicious! The only miss was the bacon jam burger, which we did not find to be very exciting. Everything else was absolutely delicious. The crispy fried chicken is one of the best I've ever had in my life!!! The chickpea meatballs are also wonderful, as is the bacon mac and cheese. And our dessert, the bread pudding, omg!! Service was warm, friendly and attentive. And prices are reasonable for that location. I highly recommend this place for any reason, and especially if you're going to a show at the Masonic.

Recommendations: Grilled Pork Chop, Wild Mushroom Fettuccine with Shrimp, Grilled Salmon 10/10! Must try Pistachio Tiramisu 10/10! Do NOT order the Buttermilk Fried Chicken- too tough or the Ricotta Doughnuts- taste like hush puppies. Staff pleasant and efficient. Atmosphere welcoming and lively

Fabulous and pricey restaurant with exquisite prawns and meat. We were extremely satisfied with the food, although The desserts were not as good. They should be more considerate with the temperature of the restaurant, as we were cold during the dinner. Rather than that, everything was good. We will come back to keep tasting their food, and I will again have the steak, perfectly cooked!!!

Most of the food here is tasty. Avoid the chicken sandwich.. the chicken is so thin all you taste is bread and brading!!! It was a huge disappointment. The pasta.. fries.. and Brussels were better.

This is a small restaurant with a nice bar in the main area of the restaurant. There are some booths downstairs but also tables upstairs. The interior of the restaurant is pretty basic and due to the floor and plain walls the noise level is pretty high. The menu is good and has many different options. We tried mussels, fried chicken, chicken wings (extremely spicy but very good), lamb rack, and the salmon. We had various beers (pretty good selection) and white and red wine (limited selection). The prices are high for this type of venue. You can find similar type food in other bars/restaurants at much better prices. However, the food was very good, and met our high expectations. Some staff members were friendly and professional. We enjoyed eating at Aliment and might come back again. Ambience: 2/5 (the restroom is 1/5) Staff: 4/5 (some of the staff members were less friendly, but we went with the best benchmark). Food: 4/5 Drinks: 4/5 Price/quality: 2/5 (too pricey for this quality and dining experience)

Aliment has a really cool, relaxed vibe that immediately makes you feel comfortable when you walk in. The space itself is inviting, and it feels like a spot that’s great for casual meals or hanging out with friends. The staff was genuinely friendly and kind, even though they were clearly very short-staffed. It got busy quickly, which led to longer waits for food and a delay in getting the check, but honestly it didn’t bother us too much. Everyone working seemed to be doing their best under the circumstances. As for the food, it was okay but nothing particularly memorable. It wasn’t bad by any means, just not something I’d go out of my way to return for or crave afterward. Overall, Aliment is a solid spot for the atmosphere and the people. The vibe and service were the highlights, while the food was more average. A decent experience, just not one that fully stood out.

First time eating here. We sat at the bar. The food was outstanding (risotto), but the bartender sucked. He didn't say a word to us the entire time we were dining (literally in front of him), and seemed primarily focused on ending his shift so he could join his buddies on the Santa pub crawl. Also, there's only one restroom, which always had a wait.

We came here for a friend's birthday dinner in December 2025 and the drinks & food were good, our main server was okay (she seemed overwhelmed with a large party), but the manager was very rude to our table! She said we were very loud and told us that she made an exceptions for our party size, even though we had two reservations for our group but squished our party together at 2 large tables. We will not be coming back to support this restaurant/bar after how we were treated by the manager.
