Avis sur El Mil Amores San Francisco
One of the best plates of food I've had in a while. We tried the cdmx bowl and the chilaquiles. We also ordered the tres leches pancakes. The savory dishes were 10/10. The pancakes were good but we felt they were short on the tres leches syrup The only complaint I have is 3 tables were empty for a while but it took the staff a long time to seat us.
In my quest for the best enchiladas in SF I found myself at the el Mil Amores Mexican Restaurant. el Mil Amores is an unassuming little place tucked into an area I rarely visit, but great things can come in small packages. So, let me just say this...The Enchilada was Amazingly Delicious, the flavors melded together as if God himself was in the kitchen! 5 stars and worthy of a two hour drive! As a matter of fact...they were so good, and after I had eaten, I got an order to go for the next day! ☆☆☆☆☆
We went for breakfast at El Mil Amores and it was such a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was bright and welcoming, and the staff made us feel right at home. My favorite part of the meal was the café de olla. It was sweet, spiced, and comforting, exactly how it should be. I also loved the CDMX Plate, their breakfast sampler that included house chilaquiles, my choice of meat, scrambled eggs, home potatoes, and the most delicious concha French toast. Every bite tasted fresh and full of flavor, and the portions were generous without feeling heavy. It is the kind of place where you want to linger over your coffee and look forward to coming back to try more of the menu.
Came here on a Tuesday ~10:30am and waited around 15 mins. The food was so delicious. We ordered the Cdmx plate and tres leches pancakes. The cafe de olla reminded me of abuelita's coffee. The place is very clean and the staff is attentive and kind.
I was on a biz trip and wanted to grab breakfast so I looked on tik tok and it lead me to this cute little Mex restaurant that sat me at the end of the bar in front of the Christmas tree 🌲I ordered this delicious plate with green chilaquiles with mild spice which was perfect for me, and a side of scrambled eggs but what sealed the deal for me was the concha French toast and the cafe de olla😋 not to mention they were playing old black and white Mex movies…it made me feel so at home I forgot where I was, I almost didn’t want to leave. I’ll definitely come back again!
The food is crazy great! There is almost always a wait so be prepared but it is well worth it. If you get there closer to when they close they may be out of things. Even after an long wait, no one ever complains. They do not have a liquor license yet but who's cares?
The food lives up to the hype - the chilaquiles in my CDMX plate was nice and spicy. The main downside is the trek from Valencia/Mission and the long wait to get a seat, and then for the food. My fiance liked her chilaquiles plate but the sauce got a little overwhelming at that portion size.
First time trying a Mexican brunch place; the food was incredibly flavorful. We got the tres leches pancakes and the vegetarian chilaquiles. I much appreciated that the pancakes weren’t too sweet!
This place is amazing, I'm so glad I came. The Enfrijoladas were so tasty and filling, and combined with the coffee was a great start to the day. I'll probably be back every day of my visit to San Francisco!
I went there for brunch and I totally recommend it. Be mindful you will have to queue outside, but if that doesn’t stop you, you will enjoy one of the best brunches I’ve had in town. We ordered the cdmx and the special of the day. They were both really good and filling. If they have agua fresca de mango, order it. It is delicious!!
Best Mexican food, seemed very close to home cooked food. We got the chicken in mole sauce, steak in salsa and Jamaica. Very homey and comfortable place.
Fantastic neighborhood restaurant! Great vibe, friendly & attentive service. Good margaritas, excellent mole, carnitas & the tortillas!
This place was really fun and a good upgrade from most Taqueria is. Table service. I like the Mexican French toast, although it was a little bit extra sweet so I could only have part of it. The Chilaquiles’s were great, although again a little too saucy cause I can’t have too much Hot sauce. The mole was great although again it was nice that I could share it with somebody because it was a lot of spice for me.
Just a wonderful breakfast with primarily Mexican American fusion foods, it was just lovely. Service was a little slow and overwhelmed (good benefit from hiring more people), but the food was wonderful and the atmosphere was nice. Great spot
Friends invite me to this place for the first time and I was very pleasant with the atmosphere. The environment feels homey and is clean. The servers were kind and patient. The food was delicious and had the authentic feeling of traditional Mexican food. I highly recommend the traditional french toast. It comes with a filling and strawberries. I will definitely come back with some extra time to find a good parking spot.
Worth the hype COMPLETELY. My friend and I had a blast trying the breakfast sampler and the chilaquiles mole. The mole was rich, thick, sweet, with a good amount of spice - personally would have preferred it a little less sweet and a little more spicy, but that's just my personal preference for mole. It was still very tasty! The concha french toast though? SHOW. STOPPER. I could go back once a week to eat that and never tire of it. The cafe de olla is delicious as well, and pairs great with both the savory and sweet breakfast options. Please give this place your love- sometimes viral restaurants ARE actually authentically good, and this place commits to Mexican cuisine in a way by abuela would be proud of.
Love this place! It’s little bit of a riot on the weekends but everything is well worth it! Everything tastes like it’s made with love and not too heavy. My favorites so far are the green enchilada suizas and the enfrijoladas! If you ask nicely, you can order a single piece of French toast or pancake as well to try!
This place is a hit! I feel like it's still kind of a hidden neighborhood joint because I hadn't heard about it other than finding it on Google maps. The inside is so cozy with plenty of seats. They have really cute decor as well. The food is top-notch. Everything is so fresh and flavorful! We ordered the Verde Chilaquiles, the Tres Leche pancakes, and the burrito. Also the Agua Fresca's are so tasty, light and refreshing! We ordered the strawberries and cream and the pineapple. We loved this spot and can't wait to come again and bring friends and family!

Lovely neighborhood restaurant that's great for all-day brunch. Friendly service and great food. Highly recommend for somewhere super relaxed.
We came on a Sunday afternoon, so of course there was a wait. We waited about an hour, but it was totally worth it! The cafe de olla was delicious and the chilaquiles both red and green were so good! We are definitely coming back, just timing it better! Also, the service was amazing!

Absolutely fantastic. Great quality, flavor, and good presentation on food. Highly recommend their salsa verde on just about anything. Superb. My favorite: Chilaquiles with ham, verde sauce. You won’t regret it. Friendly, family feel staff, quick food, clean environment, atmosphere not too loud though when full it can get moderate.

Came here with a friend for brunch and was pleasantly surprised! We shared the CDMX plate and pork ribs. Both were delicious, but the pork ribs were my favorite. They were really tender and had a slight kick. I liked the smoky, earthy flavor. The CDMX plate is also a good choice if you want both savory and sweet. It comes with the concha French toast so you get a bit of everything.
Hurts me to give a low rating. The service is so friendly and welcoming, but the food and wait time is just not it. Spent slightly more than an hour waiting for a seat and food on a Saturday morning. Food took quite a while to come out. Would highly not recommend the CDMX plate. The portion size is laughable and it's literally just nachos, a sad pile of potatoes, and not the best twist on a French toast. The more you think about it, the more you'll be confused at why it's so expensive. The service is so, so, so friendly, but not enough that I would come back for the food.
