Avis sur Pearl 6101 San Francisco
I had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at The Pearl 6101 in San Francisco. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The Japanese sweet potatoes were an unexpected standout, perfectly roasted with a caramelized edge that made them both comforting and elegant. The kampachi crudo was bright and fresh, with a delicate balance of flavors that let the fish shine. The scallops were seared to perfection, tender and buttery, while the lamb pasta was rich, deeply flavorful, and one of the most satisfying pasta dishes I’ve had in a long time. You can tell the kitchen puts real care and creativity into every plate. What made the evening even more special was the exceptional service. Our waiter was incredibly kind, attentive, and knowledgeable, the kind of service that makes you feel genuinely taken care of without ever being intrusive. From start to finish, The Pearl delivered a warm, refined, and memorable dining experience. I can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu!
Had a great dinner at Pearl 6101! We grabbed the chips & dip while waiting for our table — super good and tasty, definitely worth it. Then we had the Japanese sweet potato as an appetizer, which was insanely good. For mains, we tried the Handkerchief and Crescenza Caramelle pastas — both were delicious, and you can tell the pasta is homemade. The whole vibe of the place is really cozy and fun. Make sure to get a reservation in advance as this place is always busy!
Some of the most flavorful and well balanced food I have had in a long time. Outstanding flavors, perfect portion sizes, and elevated while still being approachable.
Pearl 6101 hit all the marks. Creative dishes, shareable or not, fun drinks, charming dining room, and attentive service. Definitely a redo
Fun night out with some delicious Italian food. We started with the tuna crudo. It was good although could have had a bit more flavor/acidity. We then moved onto the steak tartar. It had a delicious salsa verde sauce! To finish off the meal we had the handkerchief pasta and seared scallops. Incredible San Francisco restaurant!!
Excellent place. Seems like a great neighborhood gem. The only downside is the parking, but that goes for almost any place in San Francisco. The food was wonderful, the atmosphere was inviting, and the service was excellent throughout the evening. Getting a reservation wasn’t difficult. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area! The crudo is absolutely amazing. The oysters are wonderful too. The drinks were well worth it!
Kat was the best server I have had in a long time. That goes even before she found my bracelet and stored it for safe keeping. Her upbeat attitude, quick and effective service, and proper recommendations helped us have an incredible night. Not to mention the food was DELICIOUS. I’ve never had a white bolognese before, now I can’t stop craving it. We also shared the octopus as an appetizer and it was prepared perfectly. Even those in my group reluctant to eat it went back for seconds. Most of the staff seemed to really care about the work they were doing. When our heater went out, it was quickly refilled with a new propane tank. Lost my bracelet? No worries, Kat’s attentive eye found it for me and the ethical staff kept it in safe keeping for me. Our crew only received a tiny bit of attitude from the host upon arrival. Maybe she was just having a bad night. No matter, the rest of the evening was perfect. Thank you again, Kat!
Exceeded my expectations by far. I give out a lot of five stars but this place deserves every single one of them. In fact, I’d give them way more then five if i could. We went on a Sunday night, when most of the city was closed down and the staff was still upbeat and nice. The restaurant ambience is super cute. Okay, so the food. We started with the crab ricotta and bread — both were amazing. I’d happily eat way more of the crab ricotta, it was actually probably my favorite of everything. The roasted cauliflower was super, but not a favorite. Then came dinner. My partners steak was beautiful and I had the savory pasta — again, I wish there was more of it.
Good selection of very flavorful original Mediterranean-inspired dishes. The ambiance is very nice inside and the staff provided a great dining experience. A great hit was the roasted sweet potatoes on tahini topped with spicy sauce. Everyone around the table was fighting for those.
I can’t believe I get to call this spot local 🤩 the plates are unique, quality and well rounded. Vibes are cozy yet elevated, perfect for dinner with family, friends, loved ones or solo! Great wine selection to pair - start with the arancini and get the signature handkerchief or scallops and you’ll be happy you did (server Jake approved) 🫶 can’t wait to come back!
Fabulous bustling neighborhood spot. Busy in a good way, superb food quality, smiling patrons and staff. Thoughtful wine and bev program. Will return!
My boyfriend and I went out to Pearl to celebrate my birthday. We had a lovely time and I wish I had discovered this place sooner. We sat inside in the cutest round corner booth. The interior was bright and cozy! We started with cocktails and ordered the Scarlett Columbine and Coastal scrub. For starters we go the roasted cauliflower and local halibut crudo. The cauliflower was delicious! The flavors and textures all paired really well together. We both really enjoyed our entrees as well. My boyfriend got the braised lamb ragu with rigatoni and I got the seared scallops. We enjoyed everything we got, but if I had to pick just two dishes, I would recommend the cauliflower and braised lamb ragu. Overall, the servers were very friendly and offered recommendations on all fronts. Everything came out in good time. I can’t for our next meal here!
Had an 815 dinner reservation with my wife. They have beautiful outdoor seating and heaters, but we prefer to sit inside to avoid getting too cold. The handkerchief pasta (customized to be gluten free) continues to be our favorite dish and the cocktails never disappoint. Most of the menu can be done gluten free which is nice. I'd recommend trying to get an earlier reservation if possible as we felt quite rushed / worse service than when we'd done an earlier time prior.

What a gem. It's one of my favorite spots in the Bay. I usually come once a month. Authentic, delicious Italian cuisine. Has the friendliest, best service ever. The food was fantastic all around. Nice casual, fun vibe.
Our favorite restaurant in SF! My husband & I are regulars here. It’s an incredibly well rounded spot - the perfect blend of wonderful atmosphere, well prepared food, great drinks, and attentive service. I recommend making a reservation if you want to be sure of a table - we always walk in but sometimes wait for a while at the bar tables outside (which is in itself a very pleasant experience…cocktails and delicious oysters while streetwatching). It feels like a neighborhood spot, but every dish is just so inventive and delicious. Such a gem!
Everything we had here was fantastic! We tried the gemelli and bucatini pastas and they both exceeded our expectations. We also got a chicory Caesar to share which was great as well. The cocktail and wine we selected complemented our meals well and were very pleasant. The standout for me was the pistachio tiramisu as a dessert lover! The mix of textures was just fantastic. We came here post-proposal to celebrate, and the atmosphere was absolutely perfect.
Everything about this restaurant was exceptional - food, staff, choice - the only drawback is how the outside weather affects the inside. It was fairly cold outside and with the constant in and out of people through the main door - the arctic blasts were to say the least - unwelcome. I can’t imagine there isn’t a way around this structural dilemma or a way to add some radiant heat - but diners should be aware - if you’re near the door - wear your woolies.

Came here for dinner on a weekday. Food was great, ambience was amazing and excellent service! Tried a variety of menu items, drinks and a dessert. Everything was very yummy and gorgeous plating. Only slight concern was the clam spaghetti. We were spitting up clam shell remnants for a while after finishing the entree. This dampened our experience a bit as it was a slight annoyance from an upscale restaurant. Overall, would come back to the other menu items but might avoid the clam spaghetti from now on.
Finally came by for my partners birthday after friends have been raving about this spot for months. We made a reservation but came 30 min early and they were able to seat us (it was a tuesday). I’ve heard this place gets pretty busy on the weekends. I love a small menu, you know everything is going to be really well done. We split oysters, crudo, shrimp, and pasta between two people and were full. Everything was flavorful and dynamic. This is definitely a spot you’re going to eat at for a few hours. Dishes came out one by one and we often waited 5-10 minutes between them. They had a range of cocktails on their menu and we each enjoyed one and capped the night off with an espresso martini. The whole space is well decorated, it’s a great place to eat at night with the low lighting. I look forward to coming back and seeing how the menu changes.
solid neighborhood restaurant serving tasty new american dishes. cozy interior perfect for dates or catching up with a few friends. overall, great restaurant but no standout dish. franciscan wallflower: tasty drink but forgettable kampachi crudo: refreshing and citrusy. love the creaminess of the avocado to balance it out handerchief pasta: pasta noodle was top tier but expected a little more from the bolognese, flavor wise. smoked date caramelle: highly recommend! the pasta itself was a little tougher but filling and sauce was great — creamy, sweet seared scallops: perfectly cooked scallops, and amazing puree & couscous. one of the few restaurants where the mains were worth it
We had the famous handkerchief pasta and the shrimp spaghetti. Both pastas had great texture--noodles were fresh and properly cooked. The sauces left more to be desired though. Both were super rich and mostly tasted like butter. There was no spice to the handkerchief pasta sauce and it would have benefitted from some. The spaghetti also had just a buttery, herbacious sauce, but thankfully had some spice. Bread/butter, olives, and deserts were tasty. Friendly and fast service. Service: 5/5 Presentation: 5/5 Taste: 3/5 Overall: 4/5

Service left it to be desired. Part of weekly sampling of restaurants you know when you leave a place feeling good and are even more acutely aware when you leave feeling bad. We were there an half hour before opening and were seated at the bar. I just felt they didn’t care we were there. Spending almost 200$ and feeling like an afterthought just doesn’t hit. In a city full of beautiful restaurants and lovely experiences it doesn’t strike as par for the course here. It’s unfortunate

What a disappointing time branching out to try Pearl 6101. Our night started off on the right foot, we asked for a reservation push back from 6:30pm to 7:00pm which was met with an accommodating response, even informing me there was plenty open spots at 7:00pm. When we arrived, we were told we booked an outside table which I did not specify when I made a reservation. Regardless, with multiple seats inside open, I would assume that providing us a seat inside would not have been an issue considering the temperature was below 60 and about to rain. Instead, we were only offered a bar seat, despite my reservation indicating this was a birthday celebration for my girlfriend. So sitting at the bar is not a very intimate or romantic vibe. Regardless, we tried to make it work outside but it was too cold. We asked again for a seat inside but was only offered bar seating, despite 4 different tables being open inside. We sat at the bar, being reassured that dinner service would be "faster". Instead, we waited 10 minutes to be offered a drink order, and then after being served our drinks the bartender immediately left offering us no chance to order appetizers or our entrees. Additionally, I was charged $5 for sparkling water which i did not even ask for, it was offered to me. l've never been to a place that offers tap, bottle or sparkling water then charge you for it. That is super tacky. Overall, Pearl 6101 is a huge let down. Maybe a place to grab drinks with friends or coworkers, but absolutely far from the "romantic" dining experience they advertise.
