I live in Virginia Beach and needed a local Chocolatier on Long Island somewhat close to Brookhaven hospital. My niece was riding a bicycle and was hit by a car (she's ok), and my local Chocolatier didn't ship as weather was too hot. Anyhow Sayville Chocolatier not only took my order but also delivered the chocolates same day after closing at 4 on Sunday to my neice at brookhaven for $3 more over the total cost. This is what i call excellent service. Again Thank you Kate

Easy to see right off of Main Street servicing Sayville and the adjoining areas of Suffolk County. Parking on the Street is available but it fills up fast especially at night and on the weekends. Clean facilities. Reasonably priced. Credit cards accepted. Give it a try and you decide.

I always loved this place but not today I asked for half pound of creams told her which ones I got quarter pound with creams I didn't ask for plus I felt like she had an attitude won't be going back anytime soon

Sayville Chocolatier is a business I often frequent as a local resident for holidays, gifts, a stroll down the street etc. On Most occasions I have been greeted pleasantly and the staff have been helpful. I went in recently to purchase a gift for a co-worker, and have to say this is the second time now, that I felt the person behind the counter was “annoyed”, unfriendly and uninterested in helping a costumer or making a sale. Everything felt like an issue from start to finish. I picked out a box size (1 lb of chocolate for 35 dollars) and then after a few moments, while trying to decide she asked “do you just want pre-packaged”. Did I not decided fast enough what I wanted in the box? My answer was no. At the end I asked if she can put it in a paper handle bag with some tissue- as they have done before. I wanted it to look nice as a gift for someone who had never had their chocolates. She was trying to convince me otherwise, saying it won’t fit. It would be sideways. (That didn’t matter to me, I would normally put it in a gift bag anyway) She got annoyed, but put it in the bag. At the end, I asked “can you put your label sticker on the bag?” (Seeing the entire reel of them, plentiful by the gift wrap behind the counter ), like all small businesses do. Not only does it promotes a business, but it just makes everything look nice and finished and put together. Again- she was annoyed by my request. It’s important note that it was not busy, and I was the only customer in the store at the time. I planned purchasing additional items for myself, but was turned off by her behavior, that I left. What makes this even more disappointing was that I found out later that she was actually the owner of the store.

Ridiculous prices!

They don't even dip their own products in chocolate. Order everything! And mark up those prices. Pathetic excuse to call yourself the towns chocolatier.

Do not understand why they close at 6pm. A lot of families in Sayville walk around town after eating dinner at the local restaurants. There has been so many times that we go out to eat at Crickets at 5pm with our kids and afterwards they want to go to the candy store .... nope, it closes at 6 .... you should stay open until at least 7. Open at 11 instead of 10. Who buys candy at 10 in the morning? Last time we got there at 5:55pm and my kids were so excited and we tried the door and it was locked. While we were outside the door they shut off the lights, lol. Unreal.

Tasty sweets but terrible service- the teenage staff is more interested in chit chatting with their high school friends than their work ethic

I went to Sayville Chocolatier to inquire about an externship for my program as we are sent out to find our own. I have been a customer here before and the younger staff in sales was very nice. Yet today, when I walked into my LOCAL CHOCOLATIER inquiring to SUPPORT THEM around March (a busy season for chocolate because they are starting to get prepared for Easter) I was greeted by a younger girl who looks like she just works in sales than, I had asked for the owner Kate and she had come out very assertive and aloof before I could even ask her the question about my externship. She gave me a regular greeting “What can I help you with?” no “hello”, no “how are you today?” following her rushed question up I answered with my inquiry where she than said “We don’t do that sort of thing, we only hire for our sales team, we do all the chocolate ourselves” in a very rude belittling tone and showed no interest or care for someone who wants to learn about this sort of business as a future entrepreneur. No “have a good day” no “good luck” none of it. I felt very belittled and honestly ashamed to call this my local chocolate business. Showed me exactly how NOT to treat anyone who walks through my front door in my businesses future.
