Ordered a French dip today, it was absolutely amazing. Large container of au jus that most restaurants skimp on. It was just what a French dip is supposed to be! I've had their homemade corned beef hash as well, excellent stuff! Highly recommended, just watch the hours, not really open for dinner

It was a quaint and simple eatery..great service..it was only 1 waitress at the time but she did great..she didn't seem overwhelmed or anything..the food was really good..especially the home fries and grits( usually grits are a hit or miss..)

Lorenzo's cafe is honestly the BEST in house made food I've had since I was eating my mamas food. The owner Matt, well what a delight he is. Friendly hardworking and just a genuine guy. He makes all his soups, he makes all his loaf bread, even the roast beef sandwich is sliced from the beef HE roasted in house. You have to check it out

We have eaten at Lorenzos many times & have never been disappointed. Food is excellent and prices are reasonable. The service is quick & the servers are efficient & friendly. In addition we have used Matt & his family to provide food for graduation parties and once again everything has been great. His wife, Tia, does an awesome job on cakes too.

Excellent breakfast. The staff members were friendly and attentive. Service was very quick. They have the absolute best homemade corned beef hash I’ve ever had, and their french toast is pretty great as well! But I truly think about their homemade hash on a nearly daily basis. You’re doing yourself a great disservice if you don’t try it.

Great food when Lorenzo is cooking, my wife and I are regulars and have never had a problem with staff or the quality of our food. The waitstaff is very friendly and accommodating and even when they are busy they are sure to make sure we know the wait time. We can’t wait to see what they do with the place next as it is under new management and being upgraded. As long as they keep the current cook, we will be lifelong patrons! There are not too many places left in Schenectady so I’m glad to see a great small business withstand everything that’s gone on the past few years! Great Job Guys!

Stopped in at noon on Sunday. It was quite busy but there were efficient at moving people through and I we'll see it in less than 5 minutes. There are all day breakfast menu caused me problems and deciding what to have. I settled on cheddar broccoli soup and a cheeseburger. The soup was superb with large pieces of broccoli and a creamy, tasoup broth. The Burger was cooked just right, nice and juicy, and very tasty. I also tried their homemade chips which were a nice tasty change. I would highly recommend this place and will hopefully visit again soon.

First timer visit on a family members recommendation. Four star food and service so that is impressive. Five stars for the gal who greeted and seated our seven member party. She was super nice beyond what you can reasonablly expect these days. The french toast was good. The italian toast, bacon and egss were also solid. The standout was the potatos served with the eggs. Cooked to perfection and tasty to boot. Everyone enjoyed the food. The coffee was just okay but it was hot. My only objection was that the place had a smell to it that indicated it might not be regularly cleaned. My wife noticed it as well. Still, in an era where a good breakfast place is increasingly hard to find we overlooked this and the greeter and the food made up for it. Check it out for yourself.

This was our second visit to Cafe. It was as good as our first. Service was good, food was excellent. Fresh, hot, abundant and delicious. Penne Alfredo with Sausage...Sausage and Peppers !

Unlike the first time when we had the Homemade Cream of Mushroom soup this visit was disappointing. Ordered the Cream of Chicken with Rice soup and it tasted strongly of onions...also had not only rhe usual carrots and celery, but also peas and corn in it....had to have them take it back because of the overbearing taste of onions....waitress offered another suggestion and I tried the Italian Wedding Soup. Another disappointment due to meatballs were loaded with Black Pepper and I had to try my best to eat because I had taken my insulin. Waitress offered bread at beginning of order but neglected to inform me of cost of $1.50 for 2 slices of day old bread. It was a bit dry and only middle was soft. It was disappointing after we had had such a good lunch prior when we had the Homemade Cream of Mushroom Soup. I hope they can try better.....they do make good breakfasts.....

Love this place. We go out for the food and the food here is outstanding. We've had breakfast through dinner and have yet to be disappointed.

We recently stopped in again with mom because she does not like the food at Colonie Diner. Both mom and my wife are picky when eating at certain establishments. We had stopped coming in for awhile because it seemed like things were not being cleaned properly at this restaurant. This time, the place was clean and the food was decent. I gave Lorenzo's back their star. Of course, anyone can slip, but it is equally important that the business realizes it and can correct itself before they lose their customers forever.

Been here a couple times now. The staff is always nice, friendly and ready to assist. The food is also good as well. Normally, I've only gotten breakfast foods. French toast and pancakes are awesome. I got a fruit cup a few times as well and sometimes you get some questionable fruit like discolored bananas or blueberries that look a little old. Overall, the food and the staff are great!

The food is good in my opinion, but this isn't the first time that an order of mine has gotten messed up. Most of the time, it's the sanwiches/subs that has been made incorrectly. As for this particular order, my sub has Mayo, when I didn't ask for Mayo. I basically had to throw the bread away and eat lunch meat with no veggies. Very frustrating.

Lorenzo's is a great place for breakfast. They have anything you might want to eat and are willing to tweak your order if you have a special thing you want if they can do it. Staff is friendly and helpful. The only problem is its a little cramped -- but I guess its a side effect of being popular. I went with my daughter and 2 grown grandchildren and we all had great food and a nice time. I'll go back again!

I picked up breakfast for my family on Easter. Everything in the order was correct. They supplied ketchup and syrup which was helpful. Everyone really enjoyed their food. The pancakes are huge which is perfect for a big hungry family like us.

Food is delicious however prices for bfast have increased so much we will no longer go for bfast. Everything is extra. Cost $40 for 2 for bfast. $5 extra for eggs, even charge for coffee flavor shot. Not right.

One of my go-to spots as my barbershop is located next door. I enjoy the breakfast options. The chicken Alfredo is also one of my favorites. The staff is always friendly! Very peaceful vibe.

This is the perfect little greasy spoon with prices that you cannot beat. My friend ordered 1 pancake and I didnt know why until they served this monstrosity on a plate of yumminess. Coffee was hot the place was clean and everyone was smiling. I'll definitely be back as I'm near there every Monday.

We love Lorenzo's. I gave the food 5 stars for cafe food. It's not fine dining. It's a GREAT cafe. Soups, meats, breads, pickles, everything Matt (the owner, very personable) can make in-house, he does. The prices are great.

Short staffed which likely contributed to the waitress having a bad attitude. She got a bit snippy with some customers which never makes for a good start to anyone's morning not to mention a good first impression. Food and coffee were good (except for the bagel) and reasonably priced but being served food with an attitude isn't my thing. The 3 stars would have been higher without the miserable waitress. To the guy complaining about the bagel: I too think the bagel here was weak however a Price Chopper bagel would be 100% better. Maybe you haven't had one in awhile but P.C. bagels are pretty damn good. Way better than the frozen or packaged ones they use here. I'll be the 2nd to complain about those.

Very disappointed in Lorenzos this morning! I do not normally get a breakfast sandwich,especially for $11.50 after tip and online order fee but still would have been $9 without all that..What upset me was for that price I should be getting a really nice bagel from a local bakery or NYC bakery and not a .30 price chopper everything bagel..I love this place,great food all the time and great homemade corned beef but I will never be getting another breakfast sandwich from here until they step up the bagel game for that price..The home fries were good though

This is a "Schenectady staple" that someone brought me to. The food was good and they're always busy. We did take out recently and they were relatively quick. Good place, if you haven't been, then you should try them out. I'm a fan of "mom and pops" , and honestly there just isn't enough in this region and that is a cultural loss for the area, but Lorenzo's really a nice touch 👌

I usually love this place, but I recently went there with my daughter and her son. The food took rather long with barely any customers in the place.. the food wasn't bad at all, a tad over cooked but nothing crazy. It was their wait staff that made me give it 3 stars! They just looked absolutely miserable and I had to ask for everything besides the one time. The waitress came over to ask if I needed anything, and.. it was basically at the end of the meal. I even had to ask for my own bill. Smh I strongly suggest take out with this place now and it's a shame.

Review as a delivery driver: store is not equipped for the load it gets.Orders are taking well over a half hour to get out. The owner came out and was mumbling swears for having to come out front and help pack delivery orders. The place seems staffed to handle in person maybe but definitely is not equipped for delivery and shouldn't offer it if they aren't willing to increase staff.

The food here had no flavor. I placed An order for pick up at 11:47am and was supposed to be done at 12:02pm but ended up being done at 12:40 pm. On top of that we were missing turkey bacon that we ordered and paid for. Our burger had bacon on it and it did not say it would have bacon so we could not eat that since we don’t eat pork. All together the food is flavorless and not worth the money. Our corn beef hash was burned.

Delicious food, great service... charging me .50 for a take away container is petty, I won't be returning. Do they also charge .50 per take out? Delivery? * Lame excuse from the owner below so I emoved 2 stars- - your prices are no different than anyone else. Take away containers are "the cost of doing business". Are you going to charge per napkin and straw next? Again, you've lost my business indefinitely* Place is also filthy, as noted in other reviews. (Renting a commercial lease means YOU UPDATE THE UNIT. Demonizing your landlord for your greasy restaurant is as rediculous as charging for containers). Whoever is running these reviews has no clue how to operate a commercial business.

Over the weekend it was my first time going out to eat at this restaurant. I have to say after the price we paid for brunch and the condition of the restaurant we won’t be returning. The restaurant was filthy. I also don’t expect a McDonald’s priced meal but I would’ve expected to be charged properly instead of being over charged. We left smelling like grease, they charged us for the containers which is fine IF WE WERE TOLD ahead of time. Also wasn’t aware that we needed to specify that we wanted our children’s food from the kids menu. They are young they aren’t 15 years old so it should’ve been obvious. But nope they got all huge meals & we were charged over $9 for bacon that was suppose to be included in the CHILDRENS meal. I’m not one to make reviews after every restaurant but this one needed it. Not to mention the two gentlemen waiters being rude to the other waitress in front of everyone.

The place is Filthy. The sandwich I ordered was good, but I had to pay $1.00 more for homemade potato hips, which first were burnt and the greasy and floppy. When I expressed my disgust, they were taken away and taken off my bill. It used to be a nice eating alternative, not any more.

I am a regular at this family restaurant & today I was treated like a stranger. I get 1 meal everytime I go ( Big Boy ) & it is great. But today it was very nasty, my bacon was undercooked, my pancakes were nasty, & the service was extremely rude. I was told not to come back becaue i asked to get my food made over. Very unprofessional. I brought my children in & loud profanity music was heard all throughout the lobby. I don’t know what was going on today but I felt very discriminated & I will not be going to this rude restaurant again.

Today was my first time there and I understand why.... The food and service was one of the worse I have had in schenectady. Took an hour to get eggs over medium and another 15 minutes to get my toast which was cold as he'll. Hour to get my daughter's waffles that came looking like mush... On top of that took management another 20 minutes to come talk to us about the food... Took so long for them to correct matter when we finally got the food back was so angry and disappointed couldn't eat the food... paid for food we couldn't eat.. my opinion either the whole needs to be retrained (including management) or close down the DAM place!!!! THE WORST

I've been going into Lorenzo's afe on and off for years! I had a very bad experience today! Part of my food came out mostly correct (a little over done) the other part was NOT served the way I've ALWAYS had e had it. They tried to fix it, but with a hard time. When I went to eat it, it was cold. I asked them to remake it. It was raking WAY too long. I did NOT have time to wait for other 1/2 of my breakfast. When I got the bill, the item was not on it, BUT I COULD SEE OTHER ITEMS HAD MORE ADDED to make up for what I didn't get. So I paid for the 1/2 that I NEVER got!! That is thievery! Waitress was NOT a happy person. I left a couple dollar tip because, that's who I am. I would have left 30% for breakfast! I will NOT recommend. I always told people to go in and give them a try! ALL DONE!

Waited 40 minutes, for bacon to be undercooked egg that was suppose to be over easy came out hard . The server was rude. No customer service not even an apology for food. I’ve worked in the food industry and never have I seen a place of business not try to accommodate a customer not even say sorry or is there anything we can do to make it right. Server was speaking loudly stating “ some people just want what they want when they want it” yes I want what I want when I want it when my money is paying for my food. That’s why you go out to eat!!! This restaurant is ridiculous, there is an up charge if you use your credit or debit card. Most customers nowadays don’t carry cash. There is also an up charge because of the previous price increase of eggs. Currently eggs are back to their normal price, why are the still charging an up charge. This restaurant doesn’t have much competition so they do what they, become aware of their price increases.
