Today was my first time trying their chicken strips and they were actually pretty good. Kind of reminds me of Golden Chick back home in Austin Texas.

I love Rusty Rooster! The food is delicious and there is a great variety of main and side dishes! The staff is soooo friendly! The drive thru is very quick! Prices are super cheap for the quality & amount of food you get!

When passing through Seguin I had the fried catfish here. Great fish, perfect breading and not greasy. The fish fillets were huge. I will get the chicken here next time. Restrooms clean, nice outdoor eating area.

I would've given it a 4 star we had to wait 30-45 min for Chicken they didn't have any chicken ready at all. Other than that, the chicken was very good and fresh.

Ya'll, it may be small, but the taste is bigger than the building! I had the student’s chicken strips, and I walked out stuffed. I had never been here before. I didn't know that they had spicy chicken strips. They brought me one to try! The spicy is great!

I love their chicken!!!!! As good as any. Only issue I have is it always takes an extra 25 minutes if you order a spicy chicken breast. One time I waited an HOUR!! Fish is waaaaaay too expensive, also.

I always enjoy their fried chicken. My orders are always correct and they even get the right amount of ice in my cup. The food is fresh, hot and good. This is the best chicken drive thru in Seguin! Their tenders are huge, all of their chicken is juicy and along with their sides, biscuits, and Sweet Tea everything is delicious.

I've come here a few times, and never been anything but pleased. Service is quick, staff is pleasant, and food is good. The price for how much you get is pretty good too, at least from my experience.

They have improved their chicken strip recipe tremendously!!! In years past, the chicken strip breading was thin and flavorless. Now the breading is seasoned well, crispy and a good ratio. The staff is always friendly and attentive to your needs whether it's drive thru, curbside, or dine in.

Nice small restaurant with good service and good food. I had the fish it was nicely breaded and we'll prepared. My girlfriend got the chicken tenders and was big in size and good. Everything came out fresh from the fryer. Would recommend to anyone who likes chicken and fish.

I have never had a bad meal here myself. I have eaten the fried chicken and it's good the family loves it. I normally get the chicken fried steak and it's great. All of their sides are very good, but you have to get the okra. If you haven't ever tried them, then give'em a shot.

Great bunch of workers. The food is really good for a great price. This place has such a positive and encouraging atmosphere. This is a unique place. They have a Bible on the counter and a prayer box where you can place a prayer request. Also have Bible verses on the paper towel holders on the table and on the order window.

Stopped in to try this place and was not disappointed. Delicious food, decent prices and the service was some of the best I have experienced in a long time. So many places drop the ball with good customer service but not Rusty Rooster... I'll be back to this restaurant very soon and I encourage others to go as well!

Stopped here for the first time, going through the drive-through. Quick service. Got a snack pack of a chicken breast, mashed potatoes with a roll, plus a side of coleslaw. Very good.

We used the drive thru after my daughter's Mariachi Festival. It was around 9 pm, but the service was awesome!The chicken was fresh and crispy, and the sides were good. The sweet tea was really good.

Food was fresh, portions are Huge. I ordered, I think a 5 piece strips meal. These are not your standard chicken strips. I think each strip was almost an entire chicken breast. They were 3-4 Times the size of chicken strips from chicken express, zaxbys, golden chick, or canes. I actually don’t prefer them quite that large, but it’s hard to argue with the value.

Soon as we walked in they greeted us with smiles and just that good, old fashion customer service! The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Best chicken I've had in a long time!! Outdoor seating was a plus and to top it all off, they have a Bible open and a scripture as you walk out the door. That's exactly what businesses need more of.

Small inside the buikding with limited seating and employees often give me the wrong side. Check your food before you leave. But the food and price are Outstanding! Best Fried Chicken and Fried Catfish in Seguin! Fries are good, Coleslaw is Excellent, Tea (Unsweet & Sweet) are really good! Like the fried livers too. Fried okra and instant mash potatoes are okay.

It was good tonight. I got the 2 piece chicken and the breast was on the dry side but my daughter got tenders and they were excellent.

Food was excellent but the girl at the window was not very friendly. She walked off and did not give us a chance to ask for napkins or anything.

My husband said the fried chicken was amazing and the fish was good too! Sides were just ok.

Chicken was excellent. Staff was great. We had a very large order for 16 ppl. We all was pleased with everything. I feel with spending over $100.00 the cup of water should have bn free. It wasn't bottle water. But overall we was pleased.

Food and service are absolutely top notch. Love the spicy tenders! I could smell the plumbing from the restroom in the dining area. Not sure if that the businesses fault or not but needs to be addressed as it's not pleasant.

We had the 10-piece mixed chicken, sides were extra. The chicken was excellent: great tasting seasoned skin, less grease than KFC. All the food was luke warm, tasted better once it was microwaved. Had mashed potatoes (ok) & gravy(probably won’t get gem again) & coleslaw (excellent). The rolls & biscuits were good.

I went today at about one pm. Just one car ahead of me in the drive through(the dine area is closed due to Covid-19) I asked for the catfish family meal. I was told it would take about 15 minutes and I could wait in the parking lot. Sure enough 15 minutes later I got my fish meal which is very good.

This little place is great. I love the texture of the batter the strips are made with but would incorporate more seasoning into the mix. Sweet tea is great and the employees are friendly and accommodating.

Awesome chicken . The side dishes were VERY BLAND. Customer seevice was on Point!! I left 3 stars because my side dishes tasted runny and watered down. I will go back . But not unil they fix the problem with the side dishes.

In the past this has been the best chicken in Seguin. Now, with the Covid mess, it's only drive up. The last 2 visits my mistake was calling it in. With only 4 other cars in front of me, it took 30 minutes to get to the speaker. Both times, I've come home with very over cooked chicken. Over hot, dried, stringy chicken. I gave them a chance the 2nd time, and I gave them 3 stars because I know they're capable, but this food is not cheap, and quality of product must stand above all else, or I'm done. I'll wait for a counter to open and hope someone that works there tries the food in the meantime to affirm this is what they're known for. Its not.

The chicken salad sandwich is a great value and tastes great. Would appreciate utensils and napkins with to go orders. And If a customer requests an extra pickle for a sandwich,maybe consider it.

Good food, heavy on the fried everything. Drive-thru service is consistently horrible. I honestly believe they completely forget anyone is in line. Drive thru lanes are about speed and convenience, not using half your lunch break.

The food was cold. They were out of Texas toast. But didn't tell us anything on the phone or at the place. They just slapped a cold bisut in place. I called and the guy tells me that well we didn't charge her for extra toast. Really what is that supposed to make up for the bad service not to mention the cold food and this was the second time in a role. Well that was the last time.

I went and got chicken tenders ( 3 specials) They were not fresh and they were crunchy and I could hardly even eat them. The specials came with a drink which was full to the top with ice and hardly had any soda in it. I spent $30 and it was not worth it at all. Their chicken used to be good but I don't know if it's because they have new employees now but it has really gone downhill.

I love this place and go often but tonight was terrible. I got tenders, asked for mashed potatoes and a Pepsi. The Pepsi was mostly water tasted terrible, the tenders looked like a child’s portion 3? Really small pieces a French fries NOT the potatoes I asked for. I just had the same order acouple days ago and it was nothing like what I was handed. I live 14 miles outside of Rome so of course I was not going back. Check your to go orders

The one time we come to try rusty rooster the lobby is closed wasn’t even 8:30 yet barely 8:05. We go through drive thru they took a little while to answer thinking we were gonna just leave. My wife calls the answer & give attitude! Then they finally answer the intercom.

Ordered two numer 3 one spicy and one regular watched three orders get ordered and made while waiting for mine to or put on a plate that was already made waited 22 min then the stuck up girl that was working kept saying the manager only has two people working then threw food around as I corrected her about my order would highly recommend watching the video and fire her oh and told me when placed order that was out of mashed potatoes then when finally got order was informed they had more just to give u time frame on how long I was waiting for my meal that was under the warmer

Not sure if this place changed hands, but it seems every time we get take-out orders, they're always forgetting items that we paid for, which then requires a phone call and return trip to get it corrected. This is frustrating. Also, the staff isn't very apologetic nor very pleasant; they've gone down in customer service. It's time to check out other restaurants, which is unfortunate since their food is good for the most part.

Never attempt the drive thru unless you have 15-20 minutes to sit and wait while you are the ONLY customer in line. The right thing would have been to mention that it will be a long wait, would you like something different for the side! The last time I went there I had a hard sharp piece of plastic in the mash potatoes. I should have known better than to go back. Never Again!

Ordered meal thru the drive thru and needed to go back to get receipt of purchase. Don't order tea. •Unsweet tea tastes like water with ice •Sweet tea tastes like water with bunch of sugar. Tea doesn't even taste like tea.

We were regular customers. Good food and service up until now. We picked up a drive through order and went home only to find it was wrong. We don’t live near by so after notifying the store they said to come in when we could and they would correct it. The wife went back by the following day to mainly get the difference of the cost of the order we placed and the order we were given. Nope, couldn’t be done unless we brought the chicken back! She just spoke to a manager this morning and they still refuse to compensate us for the mistake! He then cut her off and hung up on her. This has happened before at other drive through places and they were eager to make it right! Bill Millers and Church’s come to mind. At this point, we no longer will be spending our money at Rusty Rooster all over their very unprofessional way they run their business. What a shame.

On Saturday night the 6th at around 8 in the evening they did not have any chicken at all . I asked if they could make some and I was told it would be a twenty minute wait . I really like their chicken however every time I go at night they are always out of something the young people they hire just seem not to care about customer service .i hope someone can give some attention to these problems there at the establishment .

Never Again! I've driven by this place wanting to try it. Well today I went through the drive thru. It was noon, I ordered the chicken and fish meals. She told me the fish would take 15 minutes. I said that was fine. So I finally went to the window and paid at 12:06. She asked me to park up front to wait for my order so I did. I saw people come and go. As I watched the time go by I patiently waited. It was nearing 12:30 and no one was in the drive thru and only 2 guys were inside having lunch. So I went in thinking maybe they had forgotten about me. She looked surprised when I walked in and asked about my order. I saw the fish and chicken sitting on the counter and she told me they were waiting on the fries. She proceeded to tell me that people call in ahead of time because the fish takes 15 minutes. I told her it has been 30 minutes. Needless to say I was upset and took my fish and chicken and left without my fries. My order cost over $60. You would think i would have gotten better service. NEVER AGAIN!

Hi, I have been coming to Rusty rooster and I’ve never had this problem before, but in the early afternoon on a Friday, I went to the restroom and it wreaked of marijuana, irritating my allergies and staining my clothes. Please take better care to make sure your workers or customers are not conducting illegal activities in your establishment.

Nasty, old food. Bad customer service. No sense of urgency. You can see how old the chicken was without even touching it. I called to speak with management and apparently they don't have one on shift. Not even daily. Terribly run buisness just like the chains in town. Stay away. Its not worth it.

Ordered the fish plate with sides. Asked for fried okra they served me mash potatoes. They brought out the okra later. You could tell it had been sitting under lamp for a while. The potatoes were cold. The fish was over cooked, all batter no fish very oily. Then, all the staff was cussing like a bunch of drunk sailors. Be cautious if taking little ones in there. You could hear them out in the dining area.

Me and my mom and stepdad ate here and we got sick instantly. They served us fish that has been left out in the open all day. Cooking meat like that isn't gonna kill the bacteria growing on it. I am never eating here again. I got food poisoning from spoiled meat or whatever is it that you call meat that has been left out all day. No wonder it has a weird taste. If you want fish or chicken, I wouldn't definitely NOT recommend here. That's for sure.

Ehhh we didn’t really like the chicken. It was wet and maybe injected with too much salty brine? The breading left a lot to be desired. Also, the fries were just plain and some undercooked. The mac and cheese was flavorless but after adding hot sauce it was just okay. This 8 piece family was $30. Too much for this quality. Also inside it smelled bad. The smell is a sewage odor, made me loose my appetite. I will never go back and don’t want to eat chicken or sides from here ever again. Big nope.
