Avis sur Round Pie Pizza Company Staten Island
When I first walked in here, I thought it may have been a mistake at first glance, but I'm glad I stayed to give it a chance, because it was actually really good. I only thought it was possibly a mistake cause it has hipster-sellout-chain vibes. This is like a west coast spot. But good. Thin crust, light and airy, with pepperoni and basil on it. It was very good. The toppings were good quality for sure. The crust and sauce were average. The toppings were the stars of the event. I think it just barely earned the $4-something that the slice costs though. If it were a $3 slice, it'd be worth every penny. I could eat a few slices, but not afford a few slices. Overall, I'd stop here on the way through again. Wait, is there no restroom here?! edit: Sorry, there is a restroom, I just didn't see the sign! It was very clean, and had post-industrial design elements in very good taste! Thanks!!
Tight spot only about 6 tables but the all of the food, Pizza, heros canzone, garlic knots are all top notch.
There are places you stumble into that feel like they’ve been part of the neighborhood since dinosaurs roamed Hylan Boulevard. Staten Island has a way of doing that to you tricking time, making six years feel like sixty. Round Pie Pizza Company is one of those joints. You walk in and the first thing that hits you is the smell that holy union of dough, oil, and scorched cheese. The scent Staten Islanders could probably claim as their unofficial borough flag. The walls are a shrine: vintage postcards, industrial metal, a big unapologetic “Greetings from Staten Island” mural like it’s reminding you that legends don’t need Manhattan ZIP codes to be born. Round Pie doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel it hones it. Sharpens it like a neighborhood kid sharpening a box cutter on the curb in the 80s. Because here, each slice is better than the last. Not metaphorically literally. You take the first bite and you think, Yeah, that’s solid. Second slice? Suddenly you’re leaning on the counter rethinking your life choices. By the third you’re wondering why every other slice you’ve ever eaten tasted like a pale imitation of this one. The crust crackles like it has a story to tell. The sauce? Bright, clean, confident like the guy behind the counter knows exactly what he’s doing and doesn’t need to brag about it. This is pizza made by people who care too much to cut corners and not enough to pretend they’re running some artisanal, oat-milk-washed, hipster operation. Staten Island doesn’t do “hipster.” Staten Island does real. Six years on the market and Round Pie already carries itself like an old soul. A legend in training, with a swagger it earned the hard way slice by slice, customer by customer, weekend rush by weekend rush. This is the kind of place I’d tell a friend to go when they’ve had a tough week. Grab a slice, stand by the counter, let life make sense again for a minute.Because some pizza is just food. But Round Pie this place is a reminder that the best things in New York aren’t always the loudest. Sometimes they’re tucked away in a borough everyone forgets about, quietly making the best damn slice you’ve had all year
Order from here all the time with my wife. We love it. The food is always fresh and they deliver pretty quickly.
By far the best pizza I've had. I was introduced to Round Pie by my friend and now I can't leave haha The Hot Honey Roni Pizza is my favorite! The crust is nice and thin and crispy while the hot honey and pepperoni bring a ton of flavors. This is a great location with friendly staff and for this amazing flavors, you really can't beat this price.
So good, the toppings were just oozing off the pizzas, but the crust was still thin and crunchy. The tomato sauce on the Pepperoni slice is a bit sweet which I like cause it goes nicely with the Pepperoni, and the basil and tomato chunks make the slice so fresh. The creamy artichoke slice is also good, a bit bland for me, but solid. Both slices altogether was less than $9 which is a great deal.
Round Pie Pizza Company is a standout thin-crust spot on Staten Island! The pies have that perfect crispy edge—grabbed a classic cheese (solid sauce and stretchy mozz) and a hot honey roni slice that was sweet-spicy addictive with great crunch. Specialty options like buffalo chicken or arugula are creative and tasty too. Portions are generous for slices or full pies, and quality is consistent.
This is solid Pizza- one of my fav's in the neighborhood. My son loves their chicken nuggets, I really like their pressed wraps and pizza and salads. It's not five stars because for me five stars would be a bit fancier inside, less wait for pizza, and maybe one step up on the ingredients like fresh mozzarella, san marzano tomatoes, but other than that this place is five stars for a pizza joint and four for a pizza restaurant- either way its excellent- can't go wrong!
We tried their pizza for the first time yesterday and it was delicious. I like that they’re open late but it took them about 45 minutes to make 2 pies. The place looks nice and clean but the parking lot doesn’t have enough parking spots. Some junkies were hanging out around the outside of the store which made my wife a bit uncomfortable. The prices on their website do not reflect the actual prices charged at the store.
The phones were ringing off the hook when I was in here. The pizza looks good. It is thin crust and I am only down with that. The plain pizza was good and had a good crunch to it. The salad pizza was also sneaky good. It has a balsamic glaze that worked. Don’t get it heated up. The place is good but not 5 stars. Solid 4 is right on.
I waited about 20 minutes for my order and come home there’s no mozz cheese In it. Please be very mindful with peoples orders. Thank you.
I've been going here for years. Their chicken parm hero is amazing! However, recently, the management is not available to speak to. I live directly behind this establishment, and their tree is about to fall into our backyard. I've gone in person multiple times to speak to someone and left my information and haven't heard back. My niece is here visiting and can't use the backyard because of how unsafe it is. They dont seem to care, which is very frustrating. The only reason why I'm leaving this review. Maybe I'll get a response this way.
Just ordered online & my pizza was cold. It’s 5 minutes from my house. Make sure the drivers have insulated bags when it’s 20 degrees out. Also you can tape the receipt on the box, right? But you can’t tape the box shut so I know it’s not touched by anyone but the restaurant staff. I received my hero with an open box. Can’t even blame the drivers, just disappointed happened to me twice.
After a long 3 hour drive we had to stop and arrived at round pie pizza. While the crust is super thin, it’s a different pizza experience. Think paper paper plate with sauce and cheese and no flavor. The only saving grace was the grandma slice which actually tasted like so-so pizza. Sadly leaving hungry and unsatisfied. And don’t look at the BBQ chicken slice, only had a McNugget worth of chicken.
Ok let's get right to it, Pizza is great BUT NOT WORTH THE 20$. THE WINGS ARE WORST PART. You gotta dip the wings in the sauce to make it Buffalo chicken lol explain that...you basically paying for the sauce. Portion and taste is not worth $9.50. Only reason why its not a 1 star because the pizza is great pizza. But the overall price is just not worth it.
Apparently they never made my pizza. After a 40 minute wait they only discovered their mistake when I questioned it. Did not own up to it and gave me someone elses pie with a simple sorry for the wait. Not sure if not cleaning the oven is part of their taste but not fond of the the crud on bottom of pie. The pizza was good but salty. Stromboli was just okay. Overall not an impressive first try.
Very disappointed by the galzon, first time and may be the last time too . Although the it did look great but empty from inside hardly any pepperoni or sausage inside. I ate a nice dough ...tx
Very inconsistent with prices and amount of toppings they use. Don’t do that because you lose loyal/ repeat customers. I used to order almost every week, not anymore!! It’s not about the few extra dollars you decided to charge me extra for, it’s about the consistency and honesty.… I don’t usually like to leave negative reviews but this place made me feel that they don’t appreciate the amazing business that I’ve been giving them so Goodbye!!!!
Ordered two pie One mushroom and cheese pizza. This is the difference between the cheese and mushroom pizza, spoke to one “ manager” called Al. Fist and last time to ever go to this place. Went with a recommendation from a friend, never going back and making sure my friend is not going anymore. A huge disappointment. Paid $45 for nothing. DONT GO
