Sharkys food was fresh, great tasting and affordable. Service was spot on all week long. Literally zero complaints. Only reason atmosphere is a 4 not a 5 is likely due to my visits being mid week and off season. Grilled shrimp tacos are the best!

Sharkie’s on Surfside Beach was a great spot to hear live music and grab a bite and drinks. The Whiskey Daniels Band was playing and it was great good old time country favorites excellently played for a well crowded house. No cover charge but tips most welcome! Great spot to quench your thirst for music and libations!

The service here was amazing, Clara was our friendly waitress, made all menu suggestions. We brought our dog with us, very pet friendly. We had cheeseburgers, boudin balls, jalapeño mac and cheese taters, grilled cheese and fries was awesome!!! Atmosphere is relaxed, fun, games to play, and great view of the water!! Highly recommend!!

This is definitely a dive bar, both upstairs and down. However I want to shout out the food — I got takeout for my large and picky family and they loved it! The oysters were so good! Since it was January 1st they threw in some ceremonial good luck food, too, and it was all on point!

The shrimp tacos were perfectly cooked. I was impressed by the quality. Service was a tad slow. Not a huge deal. It was Sunday and off-season.

Great place right by the public beach entrance. Loved my fried shrimp basket with all the homemade trimmings. Would have loved more coleslaw though. Husband loved his burger. All in all fresh, hot, and worth every penny!

Food was good more of finger food for those wanting something quick and on the go. I've been here many times and love it year round. This particular weekend was a busy one for them because of prom. Waitress was more focused on decorating then serving us. Bartenders were on top of it so helped improved my nephew's first time there, he's from out of town. Always will be my go to spot at the beach

This is a great place to have a burger and a beer near the beach. There is plenty of outdoor seating so you can enjoy the sea breeze. The burgers are really good and filling. Their fried appetizers are great. You can enjoy Karaoke and pool upstairs, and live music downstairs. Our server, Grace, was excellent. We'll be back soon.

Not a dive bar. Not a tourist bar. It's somewhere in between. Burgers are excellent. Appetizers are good. Wait staff is fun. Sometimes the drinks are not what is expected. But they're happy to remake or add to make you happy. Live music X2 (upstairs and downstairs) is amazing. Great outside bar downstairs. Inside bar and grill upstairs with an outside deck. Pretty cool spot. Will come again.

Service was VERY slow. Only one other table was occupied. Smoking is allowed inside and outside. When food arrived it was pretty good. Been here before with the same experience. Don't expect food to come out quickly.

Not only were we not greeted by the hostess AT ALL; we were treated terribly. she, and the second woman at the bar were extremely rude to us. we were watched the entire time, and even a police officer came up and watched us for a little while.. it was such a strange experience. it shouldn’t take 5-10 minutes to check my id. im EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED with the service, and the way we were treated by the hostesses but i will say food or drinks are pretty good. atmosphere was ok. Karaoke was poppin on a Thursday night. Will not be coming back.

Me and some friends went there on a day trip to Galveston, and only ordered fried pickles because everything else on the menu didn’t look too good. We tried them they were incredibly disgusting and salty. During the night a friend of ours who eat the rest of the pickles got food poisoning. Highly do not recommend.

Went to Sharkies this morning because my mom is visiting from out of town. I did a to go order and spent $50 after a $10 tip and received the most underwhelming food and didn’t receive part of my order. I bought 3 appetizers. I didn’t receive the chips & queso and they don’t have a number to call to get a refund, it just beeps and hangs up. It’s my fault for not checking the bag first. I am very disappointed. I should’ve just went to Pier 30.

Will not be back to this place, nor would I recommend it to anyone. Wait 25 minutes for any kind of drinks, wasn't until I went and asked if drink orders were going to be taken. the waitress, Kacey, had already been to our table to bring menus. We had to wait 50 minutes for our food, which the restaurant was not busy at all. The gratitude tip of 20% for over 5 people, is absolutely ridiculous. I would like to tip based on the service. There is no signage ANYWHERE, posters around or inside the restaurant of vaping or smoking allowed in the restaurant. We tried to go for a family outing, which my younger brother has severe asthma! Had we known this would not have gone. Majority of our food was severally undercooked, including the raw chicken that was served, the cheese bites that were not cheesy, just a lump of cheese!!! There was signs for karaoke on Wednesday and Sundays, not Fridays. It was so loud in there, you couldn't hear the person beside you. They need to have the volume MUCH lower, especially if children are allowed until 9PM.
