Absolutely loved it!!!!
Maria is the best! Fantastic food. Don't miss the sangria
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff
The food is incredible and the staff are always a delight to speak with.
The chicken parm here is outstanding. They also make a killer martini!
I have been going there for over 40 years. The best!
Amazing food. Get the shrimp in green sauce amazing!

Best veal parm anywhere! Family owned neighborhood gem.
Food is great. This place been here forever
Amazing food. Great sevice get the chips.
Really kind staff and open during this time. Pay them a visit if in Long Island!
Both the food and service are terrific
A staple in the community, good food and service
Over 40 years and still strong!
Rob our server was awesome
Best Italian and Spanish combo
Awesome Food/Service
Fabulous. One of a kind
Been going here for years. The chicken Ajillo is superb! So are the other dishes, but there's really no comparison if you enjoy garlic based meals.
I have been eating here for over ten years with my family-for the price the food is fantastic-my favorite-shrimps in green sauce with many shrimps in smooth herb sauce-I don't know what food experience some of the other "critics" have had but even the Spanish Chips are well worth it-not simply "potato chips" but freshly cut slivers of potatoes fried -a real treat. My wife loves shrimps extrema-evey meal comes with a salad-the house dressing is very good-shrimps oreganata? The only place that could compare would be the old style Italian restaurant now closed-Rizzo's Restaurant in Astoria-here you have great food at great prices!!!!!!!!!
Went there for my anniversary Very nice place, food was very good service and friendly. Manager or owner came to our table spoke with us. Felt very welcomed recommend this place.
Been going there for years. Best Spanish food around, with a few Italian items for variety. Great service and very homey.
Just as I always remember this place! Truly a staple in Syosset! Food is classic amazing! Sangria is superb! Staff is second to none
Food was very good, Rudy our waiter was very helpful, pleasant and did not rush us through dinner. Looking forward to many more dinners.
The place was very cozy but familiar, the food was really good , we got the fried zucchini, with the chicken parm.....the service was very good and pleasant waiters...👍
There is no Veal Parm on earth this good! Also great Seafood dishes and the Red Sangria is amazing. Never disappoints!
Have been going here for years. Amazing food, incredible service, wonderful people. Not overpriced.
Have been going to this restaurant for over 40 years. The food is consistently delicious. Highly recommend it!
El Parral has been one of our GO TO restaurants for 44 years. NEVER anything other than excellent.
We've been coming here for years. My favorites are the mariscada in green sauce and the veal smothered in grilled onions. Mmmm!
Amazing food. Nice enviroment. We had a great time. Love it.
Best Spanish Italian combo around they have been around since 1977 and it’s for a good reason
Great food and awesome staff! Always a pleasure to visit.
My family's favorite local restaurant!!! El Parral is a hidden gem and never disappoints us! This is the ONLY place my family ever orders Chicken Parmesan from - thin tender cutlets with the most delicious sauce and just the right amount of cheese! We also love the mussels with spicy red sauce (soak the leftover sauce with the warm bread they give!), the Spanish Potato Chips (the best...), the Gambas al Ajillo (mini garlic shrimp), the ziti with chicken and broccoli, and for the kids (and the adults sometimes) they make the best homemade chicken nuggets! Great sangria and complimentary salads also aren't to be missed
Erick is such a great person to have as a server i highly recommend him. Super knowledgeable of the menu and great server overall. The manager at the bar was also very nice. Highly recommend the meat sauce twice ive been back specifically for it. Had the red sangria and it was also very delicious. The entire experience today was phenomenal will be going back again.... and again ...and again and again. Don't mind the pictures it was so good I forgot to take one before I started to scarf the food down 😬

Had dinner tonight with friends that I have not seen in a long time. Can not say enough good things about our server Eric, and the other people in the dinning room that helped. Eric was attentive making sure we had anything we wanted. The meal was delicious, right down to the dessert. Can’t wait to go back.
Friends who have been coming to this restaurant for 40 years took us while we were visiting. Delightful, cozy place with a nice blend of Spanish and Italian dishes. The Spanish chips are fantastic, definitely start your meal with these! I had eggplant parm (made as requested without the cheese) which was delicious -- just the right thickness of eggplant, not greasy or tough, and a nice sauce. Husband enjoyed his shrimp in green sauce, reminded him of his favorite place in the city that went out of business years ago. Finished with the chocolate (flourless) cake, not too sweet and the perfect portion to share.
Been going here my entire life. They kept it very much authentic and just like it was 30/40 years ago. You will get excellent service and excellent food
Came across this spot doing a simple Google search. So happy we found it! We were just passing through the area after a visit to Planting Fields. Def plan on returning! Food was yummy! Wait & bar staff were extremely knowledgeable, personable & gracious! Rob is the best!
Thank you for a great dinner. The waitress answered our numerous questions about menu items and was very accommodating! The food was delicious! The mussels in white wine sauce were delicious. Great experience!! The manager was very nice and should be proud of his food!
It feels like family in this place. Every time I come here I feel nothing but love. Rudy and the staff make me feel at home. This is definitely a life long staple and I could not recommend a restaurant with better food that makes you feel like love is built into the recipe. You cannot find better.
Great food. The Chicken ajillo is excellent. So is the grilled shrimp over special salad, the veal chops, the gambas ajillo and the sangria. I Have been going here since 1983. Food is constantly great every time!! Definitely call ahead on the weekend to get a reservation.
Excellent experience always. Service, Food and Atmosphere are outstanding, and the Espresso Martini is excellent.
Had my first experience last night and loved it all! Great service, fantastic paella and sangria and. A great atmosphere. Felt like I was back in Spain again 😊
We didn't know about this hidden gem. Friends suggested and highly recommended it and they live 20 minutes away. I have to say it was one of the best dinner experiences that I have had in a while. The food was perfect and they have a ton of gluten free options, and the chef is willing to accommodate just about any allergies. And best yet it was much more reasonable than other restaurants around town.
Ordered the chicken Marsala and it was seasoned perfectly. Chicken was sliced thinly. Food came out really fast. Will go back and dine in soon.
Been going to this place for over 30 years and it never disappoints.
Moving away from the area years ago prevented me from visiting. I took an opportunity to stop in the other day and had a wonderful experience. The traditions of exceptional dining, in my memory, were intact. The aromas from the kitchen are hypnotic and everything from the fresh bread to the cheesecake desert was incredibly tasty. Salad dressing is magic and the Mariscadas was mouth watering. Fresh steamed spinach with garlic done perfectly. I can't wait to go back and sample the rest of the menu offerings. The owner Rudy is a Prince and he has wonderful employees.

Excellent
Very good food suggest you try it you will like it
Good food, fair service needs improvement
Seafood- dish lobster, shrimp, scallops, and clams were DELICIOUS
Food was very good place is homey
Good food and great service.
Food was pretty good. Not everything one the menu is a 4 star. I try to stick with sea food. They're not really good with steaks. The pork chops aren't bad either. The service was pretty good as well.
Great Spanish and Italian restaurant located in Syosset. The Paella, pork and veal chops are great entrees. The red sangria is also very good.
Love this place. Staff is always friendly and helpful. They have made me dishes of the menu. Food always fresh. Hidden gem.
Great little restaurant. They serve good food, which is a blend of Spanish and Italian dishes. But they have a few signature dishes that they do very well. Their thin-sliced potato fries and their salsa verde are not to be missed.
The food and service were very good. Three of us had paella, one had eggplant parm. Our server was Robert who had helped my friends previously. We paid cash, and he returned it asking if we counted it correctly? Really? It was his way of saying the tip wasn't enough. My friend felt guilty and threw another $10 in. That is why they lost a star.
I really liked the food. It was a large group of us close to 20. The only complaint was the staff didn't check on us to ask for refills on drinks. The restaurant was empty besides our tables so I was a little confused about the staff not checking on us a little more. They refilled our water and brought everything out around the same time. Everything was hot and tasted delicious. I'm sure if I went back with a smaller group the service would have been just a little better.

an institution for good reason
Mexican Italian restaurant... Mostly good food. I've been there many times Italian is good, Mex is okay
Not as good as previous visits Same owner lots of new wait staff Not attentive as before
Five stars for friendly service, one star for the food. My parents have gone here many times and have raved about it. Since the closing of House of Spain in Merrick, and then the tragedy that happened at Casa Luis, I've been on a search for great Spanish food. I ordered the chicken villeroy and what I received was pretty bad. Small pieces of chicken just buried within the huge square pieces of fried bechamel. The size of these pieces is very deceiving. Not only that but the chicken I received was inedible. It was actually gray, indicating old and spoiled chicken. The texture was so off that I spit out the first bite. Nothing here impressed me at all. Unfortunately, the Spanish hunt continues.
Not bad, but just as Italian as Spanish. If you want real Spanish and Portuguese cuisine you will have to trek to the Ironbound section of Newark. Anything else is mediocre unless you go to Spain.
Went there for after Christening luncheon. Too crowded at tables. Mediocre food.
Waitstaff couldn't really describe/explain the menu items as he "didn't like seafood" nor "doesn't eat dessert". The seafood dishes were good, but small portions as was our dessert. Probably won't go back.
Not what it used to be. Portions smaller and mariscada bland and not rich enough. Side fish of pasta served in a bowl like dish that was good for dessert. The salad dresding has not chsnged in decades. Party of four... no one left pleased. Much brtter options available for the price. Not noisy and easy to park

Service was great. Food was not.
Below average for Spanish food.
Bad experirence, food came out cold, had spanish pork chops, very dry,my wife had chicken dish,no flavor ,pasta side dishes again cold. This is the second BAD experience in a row!
Soy español. Fui a ese restaurante y la comida además de claramente asquerosa, no era para nada española. Eran todo recetas propias mezcladas con algún ingrediente español. Me sentí insultado. Realmente me da pena por la gente que va a ese lugar a comer cada día y piensa que lo que le sirven en la mesa es auténtica comida española.
Good service, awful food, and even worse, it's EXPENSIVE!
One star, only because I couldn't give it a zero or negative rating. The manager, Rudy, was very dismissive and unapologetic when an order placed through Uber Eats was incorrect. He kept instructing me that Uber Eats was at fault, when in fact it was the negligence of the restaurant and ultimately his mistake. Rudy took no responsibility or accountability of the restaurant's error and was completely unphased when I stated that I would be giving El Parral a bad review. Not a place I will frequent again, or ever recommend to another.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! Extremely disappointing, I would have given it ZERO stars. I even called them, they don't seem to care. Go elsewhere, and get yourself a Decent Meal!!!
At one time this restaurant was really good we hadn't been there in a while went there the other night will never go back the food was terrible tasteless
Slow and poor quality food and preparation. Obviously no priority to food being delivered!
They gave a side of spaghetti with nothing on it and never asked me what sauce I would like food was horrible and when I called back 20 minutes until they closed no one answered place fell apart save your $$ and don’t waste it at this dump
I'm going to this restaurant for many years I've not been there in a while went to the back of the food was absolutely terrible will never ever go back again
I ordered take out three times. Small portions and don’t dare ask for extra salad dressing on your take out order, they will ask for $8 and give you a weak sales pitch. Not worth the fight each time I place an order. I grew up in Syosset and order take out when I visit my parents, but not from El Parrel any longer.
The food was horrible and the service left much to be desired. The tables are to close to one another. I wouldn’t recommend dinning here. Over priced on all menu items, drinks are watered down and not delivered in a timely fashion when ordered.
I’ve had dinner here numerous times, and really never had a bad experience until last night.I ordered the Spanish pork chops with a s of sautéed spinach. The Chops were tough so I got a Shrimp dish. A couple of minutes later the way came back and said he had to take back the spinach because the chef said they get back. I asked why is that was what the chef wanted I thought that was disgusting and I told the waiter that who were they gonna give the spinach to someone else? that to me was very bad business and I told him that also. it’ll be a long time till I go back there again if ever!!!
