🌟 Review for Rare 650 🌟 Last night, we celebrated my sister’s birthday at Rare 650, and I can honestly say it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, the restaurant’s beautiful ambiance set the perfect tone for our special evening. Our waiters, Charlie and Dennis, were nothing short of outstanding. They brought a perfect blend of humor and warmth to our table, making us feel right at home. And then there was Cliff, the manager, who came over to greet us like we were family (the kind you actually enjoy being around!). He took the time to learn all our names and genuinely wanted to ensure we had the best experience possible. His commitment to customer satisfaction was evident, and it truly made us feel valued. Now, let’s talk about the food! The shrimp cocktail was absolutely outstanding—fresh and flavorful. The steak was cooked to perfection, and we paired it with delicious sweet potato mash, creamed spinach, and crispy French fries. For dessert, we shared an array of treats: cake, donuts, and sorbet that were all divine! Bottom line: Rare 650 is a MUST-visit! They paid attention to every detail and made our celebration one to remember. We all simply LOVED it! Can’t wait to go back!

Balvenie scotch dinner. Scotch 10 out of 10. Dinner was of high quality and fine taste smaller portions. Probably because paired with expensive scotches. Been to dinner plenty of times at Rare, food is always delicious. I generally have sushi and a steak. Mint! Real treat is dessert, believe all are freshly prepared. Warm donut and ice cream is the move. Love this place.

My hubby and I had dinner here for the first time and it was my birthday. From the moment we were seated, the service was spectacular! We had a total of 3 different servers, all female, and all were phenomenal. I forgot their names, unfortunately but again, they were all amazing and most importantly, friendly! We ordered a bunch of appetizers and the sunrise special roll was SO delicious!!! Our entrees were perfectly cooked, and dessert was on point. The server knew it was my birthday and brought out complimentary doughnuts with a lit candle - I thought this was so nice of them! The night was perfect and of course, cannot forget the talented and entertaining, Vincent Rhodes, who did an incredible job at signing and performing Scenes from an Italian Restaurant!! Brava!

Samantha our amazing server made great recommendations for starters, entree, deserts, drinks and mocktails. We ordered to many to name. Everything was really good. Service was excellent. Very clean and gorgeous decor. Highly recommend.

Rare 650 offers both great food and awesome service. They also offer freshly made Sushi Rolls. The restaurant has a beautiful decor and a large Bar in the center. For dessert try the Deconstructed Apple Pie, its delicious. Great place to meet friends and family for drinks or dinner. The Manager Cliff is always on hand to make sure everything is perfect. Parking not a problem they have a Valet.

This place is excellent service and wonderful dining. The steaks are perfectly made and deserts and appetizers are delectable. But what made this place a 6 Star review (versus a 5 star max) is their awesome general manager Cliff Dragonetti whose friendly smiles and magnificent services would make us a future patron of this fine restaurant. His service and care for our needs and genuine demeanor makes you feel like a VIP in a Michelin Star restaurant. Kudos to your services.

Truly enjoyed the food and service. The owner visited our table and came back at the end of the evening to check on our experience and referred to us by name. Louder crowd than I expected, but we enjoyed our meal from appetizers to dessert.

Wow, a great experience we had celebrating my sister’s 50th birthday yesterday. Cindy, the Catering Manager, was incredible and made our celebration successful and stress-free. The chef Cesar made us the best food. It was so delicious. The servers interacted with their tables and ensured they enjoyed themselves. At our table, we had Nelson, who is also the bartender. He made us great drinks, and his service was excellent. The Rare650 has never let us down. Time after time, They outdo themselves with the quality of service and food. I look forward to coming back.

I thought Blackstone was my favorite until I came here for the first time last week...Very welcoming atmosphere, both waiters were excellent (wish i remembered their names) the suggestions they made were on point. My lamb came out perfect, the lobster mac and cheese was so flavorful. Manager of entertainment came to our table to check on us, his energy and conversation was genuine and appreciated...My new spot

We had 2 of the specials and some of their regular menu items. The steak and the scallops were expertly prepared and cooked to our exact specifications. They were fresh and flavourful. Our cocktails had the right amount of sweetness, and one of them even had a fun presentation. The service was spectacular! James and Merlin were very attentive, polite, and friendly. I highly recommend anyone who is celebrating a special day to reserve a table in advance to make sure to get a spot because it gets really busy quickly.

We had an amazing experience at this steakhouse! Everything we ordered was delicious. We started with oysters and a sushi roll (loved it!) . For the main courses, we tried the fish and the filet mignon ( the steak was perfectly cooked). To finish, we shared a cheesecake. It was our first time here (my husband and I), and we will definitely be coming back! The service was excellent, the ambiance was beautiful, and overall it’s the best steakhouse we’ve ever been to. Highly recommend!

Excellent Experience. Just sat at bar for a quick dinner. Food delectable. Atmosphere was very soothing and not loud which I loved. Bartender Brooke and Manger Jillian were so professional and attentive to details with big smiles. I highly recommend a visit to this beautiful restaurant.

This is such a nice place for a special night out! The decor alone is enough to come here for. We made reservations and when we arrived, we were quickly seated. The waiters were very attentive and kind. I wasn't sure on what wine I wanted so they let me try 4 different ones till my picky self could decide. Dinner did not take very long but it wasn't a busy night when we went. Everyone was dressed to the 9's. There is a cute bar to hangout after at if you dont wanna go home. Only downside is it's a little pricey for the food portion but the great quality of everything makes it worth it!

Both food and service were great. NY strip streak was delicious. Our chat with general manager Cliff was highlight of the night. We will be back.

I attended a wedding recently. The cocktail hour was in one room and then the main course was in the glass Conservatory. This room was beautiful with tropical plants and in the evening you can see the stars above. The food was exceptional and the seafood was excellent. The service was very good and attentive. We were a venue of 70 people and fit comfortably in the room. We had a band and a small dance floor in the middle with 70 people. The drinks were good and a little strong if you prefer that. A beautiful venue location. Prices vary for venues but average 200 a person.

Food and service were amazing! Got the Wagyu beef, spicy tuna and crab sushi and the lamb appetizer. Everything was cooked perfectly and delicious. And the staff and hosts go above and beyond in their service to make sure everything is perfect. Highly recommend!

The steak was very juicy and a great quality cut) and seafood selection is incredible with an incredible wine list to match! and to top it off with an outstanding desert menu (if you can squeeze it in! or take it home) This Place is Highly Recommended!!

I've recently dined at Rare650, and I'm thrilled to share my experience! I've been to my fair share of steakhouses, but Rare650 is now one of my absolute favorites! The staff was on point, and I appreciated how knowledgeable they were about the menu. I started with the lobster bisque soup, and oh my, it was divine! The porterhouse was cooked to perfection, and I have to say, it was one of the best I've ever had. I'm usually not a fan of creamed spinach, but the chef's recipe was a game-changer! The sides were all delicious, and my server recommended a wine that paired so well with my meal. I finished with a warm apple pie, and I'm still dreaming about it! The atmosphere was elegant and sophisticated, and I felt very pampered throughout the entire evening. Overall, Rare650 is the real deal, and I'll be returning soon!

A high end steak house, prices start at $20 per salad up to $100 for prime rib or lobster. Service was professional (only male waiters) they could not split the bill between the 5 members in our group. I ordered a salad was mixed greens strawberries and pecans. I asked for vinaigrette on the side (was very thick could not be poured easily) octopus was fantastic with a spicy sauce leaving you wanting more! Overall very fancy location and presentation. Food was good.

Had an amazing experience there tonight! The GM was amazing and introduced himself, service was on point and food was great! My boyfriend tried one of their drinks and didnt like it, hes not a complainer, but the GM knew he didnt like it and switched it out for us even though my boyfriend told him it was okay. Really went above and beyond. Also they brought us out the cutest dessert for our anniversary :) food was amazing 10/10 experience

I went to dinner last night with my husband and daughter. We sat down right away and were greeted by Amanda and Freddy. They were both very knowledgeable and friendly! Amanda recommended this awesome drink called “Route 135”. It was delicious and the presentation was outstanding! Amanda was beyond accommodating to my daughter’s gluten allergy and made sure everything came out right. She also went out of her way to ask the chef if he can make me a dragon roll that was not on the menu. All the food came out delicious and hot with excellent presentation. We will definitely be coming back to see Amanda and Freddy again!

I just want it to be known that I’ve been to plenty of restaurants and this is my first time ever that I feel like I must leave a review. For starters, the decor and ambiance is what sold me at first site. The food and service was just as good! If you’re planning to come here and not sure on what to order no worries, the waiters take their time and explain each thing. It’s true that the waiters are very attentive and assist whenever needed. We were greeted by the manager Cliff who made my partner and I night exceed our expectations. He was very welcoming, informative and made sure we were well and didn’t need of anything the entire night. He called us by our names each time he engaged with us which we never experienced before 10/10! We’ll be back soon. Thank you to Cliff and all the amazing staff

We love coming to Rare650 for a celebration dinner. The food is always spectacular, the service is exceptional from every touchpoint, the ambiance is beautiful, modern, and clean. Their short rib is the best I’ve ever had! Tonight I also ordered their burrata appetizer special which was even more fantastic than it looks in the photo. It’s always a special night when we visit.

Rare650 in Syosset truly impressed me. The atmosphere was elegant, the staff was professional, and the food was outstanding. Definitely a great place for a special night out.

Rare650 Steakhouse is located in Jericho, NY. Welcoming staff, nice ambient, not as crispy attire as to Opus Steakhouse. There are multiple halls and setups, and a terrace, which offer the option of catering and hosting banquets and weddings. The scallops on a couscous bed were amazingly melting in the mouth. The proseco was decent. Guaranteed a pleasant and successful dinner. For this reason I would like to give credit where credit is due.

I celebrated my 25th birthday at Rare650 for the first time, and the experience far exceeded my expectations. We were graciously hosted by our server, Nelson Hernandez, whose professionalism, culinary knowledge, and warm personality truly elevated the evening. From the exceptional entrées to the attentive staff and upscale ambiance, everything reflected the high standard of quality Long Island is known for. I’ll definitely be returning—and bringing others along to share in the experience!

My visit to Rare650 this past Saturday was nothing short of spectacular, largely thanks to the unmatched hospitality provided by Cliff Dragoneti, the General Manager. From the moment we made our reservation, Cliff was incredibly accommodating, ensuring every detail was in place for what was one of the most important evenings of my life — my proposal night. Cliff went above and beyond to make sure everything was just perfect, from selecting a quiet and beautifully set table to coordinating a surprise that made the evening even more special. The menu itself was delightful. Each dish was exquisitely prepared, with flavors that danced wonderfully on the palate. The attentive staff made commendable pairing suggestions, which complemented our meal beautifully. Moreover, Cliff’s personal involvement in our evening made us feel like VIPs. His professionalism and genuine care for our experience were evident throughout the night. It’s rare to encounter such dedicated and personal service that makes a significant life event even more memorable.Thank you, Rare650 and Cliff, for making our engagement night profoundly special and joyous!

Exceptional. Bone-in rib steak was possibly the best steak I’ve ever had (better than the porterhouse, which was also excellent). My co-diners ordered what I considered lowbrow sides and apps, but they were all very good. The 650 sushi roll had some of the freshest fish imaginable, and the artichoke side was delicious. First class dirty martini too. The staff was as attentive as it gets. If I win the lottery, I’ll eat here every day.

My wife and I decided on Rare650 for our anniversary. The food, cocktails, and service were great. When confirming our reservation, we mentioned that it was our anniversary. They ended up giving us dessert on the house as a nice gesture with a candle to celebrate. Overall, it was a great experience.

After seeing a video on TikTok about Rare650, I was sold. I thought this would be a great place to bring my mom for her birthday dinner. The restaurant was beautiful! We sat in the conservatory and I definitely did not feel like I was in New York! It's the perfect spot to feel as if you're on a vacation but you're not too far from home. The staff was polite, friendly and knowledgeable. I haven't interacted with such a friendly staff in a long time. Cliff, the manager, came to every table to make sure we were satisfied and he also interacted with us which made the experience more delightful. I must say the crab cake was to die for AND the steak was perfect! Also, if you don't get those doughnut's- YOU ARE MISSING OUT.

The pressures of life are uplifted when we celebrate small moments, and can add up when we have big ones. Celebrated my anniversary here, and I couldn't ask for a better staff, atmosphere, and delicious food. The GM came out and wished us a happy anniversary (thank you) and even sent some extra bread home ( we loved the bread). Thank you for making it special, we will be back!

Extremely nice decor. Nice bar area with a wide selection of both mixed drinks as well as a very large selection of very special wines and champagne. One of the members had a maple smoked old fashioned drink. Very nice presentation. I tried a tiny bit I thought it would be sweeter with the maple flavoring but it was very nice and it added to the smokey flavor. Appetizers were very delicious. I had mozzarella with fresh tomato with something drizzled over the top. Nice flavor. One of the people with me had a tomahawk steak. They said it was cooked perfectly. I had the Bayman's s Pasta. The fresh lemon pepper linguine was homemade, nothing like I had ever tasted before as well as a much nicer texture than store-bought. One member had the glazed New Zealand lamb chop. Presentation was very nice and she said it was very good. Multiple people shared different sushi and it was very fresh. Two different types of fresh salad that were really good. We were celebrating a birthday and they brought out some donuts drizzled with I believe it was caramel and was topped with two different types of chocolate, white and milk chocolate. Overall a great experience. Slightly disappointed on two counts. The first was we had to ask multiple times during the meal for empty dishes to be removed so that the next plate of food could be brought in and placed on the table. Secondly, the waiter knocked over a full drink on a guest at our table on his brand new white shirt and black pants. Not much was said about it which is disappointing. Other than that it was a very very nice experience.

T

First time here and I was not disappointed. Came here with a total of 7 people and we had an amazing time. The crowed at the restaurant was great. Kids and adults were here and it was still a very elegant and classy place. The staff was very nice, friendly and informative. We had a big array of food choices for all palettes. The sushi, burrata, tuna tacos, and all the other apps where phenomenal. The steaks were cooked to perfection but the burger meat was not seasoned and the massive lobster tail we had (wow it was impressive) was overcooked. Overall great spot and I would definitely come back.

I had a wonderful experience here dining with my family, celebrating my birthday.. From parking to paying the bill everyone was friendly, cordial, polite and helpful.. Shout-out to maître D Tory & Valerie.. Our waiters Jason & Freddy are definitely top notch with their service.. And Manager’s Cliff & Albert are extremely great hosts, they make you feel welcome and they were very attentive and genuine.. Thanks folks for your hospitality, great service and delicious food. I’d definitely recommend visiting this restaurant for lunch, dinner, and any special occasions.

Rare 650, nestled in Syosset, Long Island, represents the epitome of luxury dining, a hallmark of the esteemed Scotto Brothers' culinary empire. Since its inception in 2007, this establishment has masterfully blended the art of a traditional steakhouse with the finesse of a sushi bar, a daring combination that was nearly unheard of at the time. The ambiance at Rare 650 is as much a feast for the eyes as the dishes are for the palate. The restaurant’s chic, contemporary design, complemented by a spacious dining area and a lively outdoor patio, creates an atmosphere that is both sophisticated and inviting. It's no wonder this venue has become a favored destination for celebratory gatherings and corporate soirées. Upon arrival, the experience is set in motion by an extraordinary level of attention to detail, beginning with a personal call from Cliff Dragonetti, the general manager to ensure every aspect of the evening aligns with the highest expectations. This is not merely service; it is a finely tuned orchestration of hospitality. The evening begins with *The Ocho*, a cocktail that dances on the palate with a blend of Bacardi Ocho Rum, pineapple, lime syrup, passionfruit, grapefruit, and lime soda—a tantalizing prelude to the courses that follow. A trio of freshly baked bread arrives next, accompanied by extra virgin olive oil and softened butter, all thoughtfully prepared to tempt but not overwhelm. Restraint is advised, as the true indulgence is yet to come. The first course—a pomegranate-glazed bacon, perched atop a tart of mission fig and Gorgonzola, crowned with delicate apple blossoms—sets the tone for the evening. Each bite offers a perfect balance of sweet, savory, and tangy, a delightful interplay of flavors. This is followed by a sashimi of bluefin tuna, where thin slices of sushi-grade fish are paired with citrusy orange segments and a touch of jalapeño relish, all brought together with ponzu and the surprise of soy pearls that burst with umami. It’s a dish that speaks of the chef’s deft hand and imaginative spirit. Then arrives the charred Spanish octopus, tender yet crisp, served with saffron-infused fingerling potatoes, marinated tomatoes, Kalamata olives, crispy pancetta, and a caper vinaigrette that elevates the dish to new heights. For the main course, the Chilean sea bass is nothing short of divine. Served atop forbidden rice with chorizo, sun-dried tomatoes, and a lobster saffron beurre blanc, this dish is a symphony of flavors and textures that leaves a lasting impression. No meal at Rare 650 would be complete without a proper finale. Though the appetite may wane, the allure of a deconstructed apple pie is irresistible. The apple cinnamon compote, complemented by crumbles of a heavenly pie crust and Häagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream, provides a sweet, satisfying close to an impeccable evening. Executive Chef Caesar, along with Steve and the rest of the dedicated staff, deliver an experience that exudes passion and precision. Rare 650 is not just a restaurant—it’s an experience that demands a place on your list of must-visit culinary destinations.

Overall experience was wonderful. The vibe there was very elegant yet somewhat casual. I love the attentiveness of some of the waiters. The food was delicious. Although I wouldn’t say I’ll be back soon for it is a high end location but it’s a wonderful location for special events for sure.

Went to this restaurant for a friend'a birthday. The fine dining experience was amazing. The food was delicious and the drinks were strong. The lighting is not the best for pictures but the decor is beautiful. I especially enjoyed the Wagyu steak special and the creamed spinach. The steak was prepared, perfect temperature and seasoned. The lamb chops has a lot of potential with some salt and pepper. The calamari was great. I would definitely go back.

This place is amazing! My husband took me here for dinner for my birthday, and it was delicious. Everything about this place was top-notch. From the manager (Cliff) coming over and personally introducing himself, explaining the highlights of the menu, and the restaurants strive for perfection and excellence. He made sure that our night at the restaurant was perfect. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We highly recommend the crispy brussels sprouts, the lamb chops, the calamari, the crabcake and the colossal shrimp. We will definitely be returning. Thanks again Cliff AKA The Boss!

A few nights ago, we celebrated my wife’s birthday at Rare650, and it was an experience I’ll never forget. We dined in a semi-outdoor setting with our table nestled right against beautifully planted trees and a cascading waterfall—a perfect, natural backdrop that set the tone for a magical evening. The food was absolutely excellent; every dish was bursting with flavor and served with impeccable presentation. Our server, Nelson, looked like he’d just stepped off a movie set—dashing and polished—yet his humility, respect, and genuine kindness made us feel instantly at home. Adding to the warmth of the evening, the manager, Cliff, was nothing short of incredible. He entertained us with a wild Jamaican joke that had us laughing throughout dinner, making us feel like the true king and queen of the night. Even the valet service was exceptional; the attendant greeted my wife with the utmost courtesy, opening the door and treating her with genuine respect. Overall, Rare650 delivered one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the exquisite food to the inviting ambiance and outstanding service, every detail was thoughtfully executed, making my wife’s birthday celebration truly unforgettable.

Wow, what a magnificent venue for your fine dining needs. Nice open bar and a wine dining room upstairs that is a place to dine the next time I go. I had my wedding this past weekend at RARE650, and choosing this restaurant was one of the best decisions we made. My husband and I knew we didn’t want a traditional wedding—we wanted our guests to walk away saying, “We’ll never forget this,” because of the incredible food, atmosphere, and service. RARE650 exceeded every expectation. The Conservatory, where we held our reception, was absolutely magical. The lush greenery, the natural light, and the stunning waterfall just outside created the most beautiful backdrop. Even with 90 guests, the space felt open and comfortable, and the dance floor was more than spacious enough. We hosted a daytime wedding and had the entire restaurant to ourselves, which made everything feel intimate and special. There was plenty of room for everyone, and unlike so many weddings I’ve attended, there were never long lines at the bar. Cindy, the event coordinator, was truly a dream to work with. Every detail we discussed—big or small—she brought to life flawlessly. Throughout the event, she checked in on my husband and me to make sure we had everything we needed, and she made sure both sets of parents were always taken care of, whether that meant another drink or more food. She worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the entire day ran perfectly, and it absolutely showed. After the wedding, our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food, the service, and the overall experience. Cindy and the entire team at RARE650 deserve every bit of praise. I’m so grateful we found such a perfect venue to celebrate our special day, and my family and I hope to host many more events here in the future.

We stopped in without reservations and were unable to get a bar seat, so I decided to ask Heidi the hostess, she was so kind to accommodate us although there was no seating availability. Heidi went above and beyond and accommodated us with a table. Dinner was amazing overall lovely Experience! Great meal, cocktails and overall experience!

Rare 650 is outstanding. Incredible steaks cooked to perfection, delicious sides, and top-notch service. The atmosphere is upscale yet comfortable, and everything from the food to the drinks is done right. A must-visit steakhouse—highly recommend. 🥩🔥

I could not have asked for a better experience aside from the food and drink being phenomenal. It is my server, Michael, who made all of the difference. He was extremely kind, attentive, and passionate about his work. This is a man who is not merely a server. He wants to elevate your evening, and I hope his boss reads this review and considers a higher hourly rate for such a wonderful server as I have high standards.

Our steaks and sushi were outstanding. The restaurant is pretty and the service attentive. We would've liked to have seen more creativity in the presentation of the vegetables and salads and the waiting of a children's menu.

The food was absolutely fantastic—our steaks were cooked perfectly, and every side and appetizer was delicious. A big thank you to Cliff, the general manager, who personally checked in several times to make sure everything was perfect. His attention to detail and friendly personality really stood out and made our evening even more special. The entire team was professional, attentive, and made sure every need was met without ever feeling rushed. We came here for our anniversary dinner. Brook was an amazing bartender. Jill was great hostess. Jorge was our waiter. He was absolutely phenomenal. He took time to break down the specials and was very knowledgeable and made great recommendations. The food was amazing. Staff was overall great. 10/10. Thank you for making our night so special.

Cliff went above and beyond for our special night celebrating my mom’s birthday. The food is always incredible, we had the skirt steak, Mac n cheese, cream spinach and lobster sushi which was a special of the evening. They made sure we had the best table in the house and were treated like royalty. We love coming to this restaurant it is a guaranteed good time with exceptional service and food!!!

Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and incredibly fresh. The service was top-notch from start to finish — warm, attentive, and professional. A special shoutout to the General Manager, Cliff, who went above and beyond, personally checking in on tables and making sure every guest felt welcome and cared for. The lobster bisque was rich and flavorful — truly one of the best I’ve had. I was blown away by the aged T-bone steak, especially with their foie gras truffle butter on top… pure decadence! Every bite was divine. I also loved the enclosed backyard area — the real palm trees and glass ceiling make you feel like you're dining outdoors in a tropical oasis, while still enjoying all the comfort of being inside. Desserts and coffee were just as impressive — beautifully presented and delicious. Whether you're celebrating something special or just want a memorable night out, Rare 650 delivers Quality on every level.

RARE650 Steakhouse – A First-Class Culinary Experience From the moment we walked into RARE650, we knew we were in for something special. A huge shoutout to Cliff, the GM, for ensuring my first-time experience was nothing short of amazing. His attention to detail and hospitality set the tone for a truly memorable night. Our server, Nelson, elevated the evening even further with his impeccable service and spot-on wine recommendation that perfectly complemented our meal. The skirt steak was cooked to perfection—juicy, flavorful, and tender—and the branzino was absolutely mouthwatering, with delicate flavors that melted in every bite. Jorge, who also assisted us, was extremely knowledgeable and recommended delicious side dishes. This is fine dining at its best—from the ambiance to the service to the expertly crafted dishes. Run, don’t walk to RARE650. Trust me, you’ll thank yourself later. Thanks again for an incredible night!

This place is literally a 10 out of 10. The Caesar salad is delish, you can tell the dressing is fresh. The skirt steak comes with fried onions and a house made steak sauce. Those items compliment the steak but are not even needed because the steak is seasoned perfectly. The Sushi was extremely fresh(in a good way) and came with the perfect amount of ginger and wasabi Best Crab Cake in NY. There’s very little filler and the filler is seasoned with goodness that melts together with the lump crab you wouldn’t even know it was there. Absolutely delicious. The apple crumb dessert was pretty good also. I should also mention that the vibe was very upscale.

My overall experience for my first time dining here and for my Birthday was a 4, but our waitress Lisa was 5 starts worthy! I simply struck luck and couldn’t have asked for an overall better waitress who was more enthusiastic, helpful and overall of quality such as Lisa. The interior ambiance was a nice change of pace from Insignia, but the outside reminded me of going to Insignia; from the overall aesthetics too the valet company. However, the food was impeccable; all of it from our appetizers, entrees and desserts. In addition too that; the wine Lisa suggested was delicious and my party and I gladly ordered it by the bottle. Lisa/management was lovely for the complimentary dessert on the house and I appreciated the GM coming over and exchanging pleasantries with my party and I. However, there were a couple of waiters who I was made to feel I comfortable by; one very short with black hair and a dark olive complexion and the other slightly taller with brown/red-ish hair that was styled up and had a fair-ish complexion. I’m 100% certain that I caught them exchanging insults about how I command the room when I walk into it and although effortlessly; everyone stops and stares. Although, there’s a difference between those who can appreciate greatness and others who are simply intimidated by it. Confidence is key and I pity those who lack it and especially those who are so insecure with themselves that they have to group together with other weak/minded people in order to exchange remarks about someone; that someone being a paying customer on their Birthday of all days. Overall, this is what made it a 4 star experience as opposed to a 5. Thank you again Lisa for waiting on my party and I and for both your professionalism and pleasantness.

Good restaurant with good food. Nice ambiance and friendly staff and waiters. The food was solid. The wagyu steak was good, not great. Sushi was also solid. I wouldn’t say the food is spectacular, especially for the price, but it was still pretty good. Still a good experience only negative was it was very loud with some rowdy tables nearby.

I gaze this place 4 stars simply because the service could have been better. First and foremost, the food was good however like some other have stated I'd had better steaks however these were pretty good. The apps are pretty regular for what we had.. just tuna rolls and calamari and shrimp. I had two glasses of wine and were each had a steak and sides. He had the 26 ounce rib and I had a filet. We're shared the mash and cream spinach. So yes we were very satisfied. The service however could have been a bit better. We had a senior waitress whom was very hospitable knowledgeable made good recommendations and was good and a more novice waitress, seemed as if she wasn't knowledgable about anything, she kept having to ask other people what things were. And over all the service seemed to lag a bit. What should have been about an hr visit seemed to go on and on smh. The price was pretty reasonable the check came to 247 for the both of us.. more than outthey steak houses where been to. Would I go back, probably not for a while. On the upside, the place was beautiful amazing decor, great wine, great cocktails, great date aka my boo boo!!p

As expensive the menu is, the more nit picky I should be. Food was great. I loved the less expensive empress roll (best to date) over the american wagu tomahawk. Steak was very well cooked and nothing to complain about. Steak sauce a little too sweet for my taste but good. Took a star away because the waiter forgot about my wife's drink twice and took our menus before even taking our order. Nit picky but for the price it should be perfect. I would go again.

It was a quite nice experience. Good atmosphere and good service. Wasn't a fan of the skirt steak it was very bland nothing special about it. Also the cocktails were not great in a sense that they were poorly balanced. Also just a personal thing I am not a fan of valet parking especially if there is a lot.

Be sure to make a reservation before & if you miss it, you will be charged. You can view the menu via QR code at the table or request a hard copy. Dinner was great, the restaurant was pretty busy for a Thursday but that did not hinder the quick service or quality of food. I personally loved the octopus and the oysters we're fresh, didn't care too much for the truffle wantons. If you dont order anything at all, get the chocolate cake. I'm not a fan of sweet but it was utterly delicious and I couldn't stop eating it. I would definitely visit again to try the sushi. Fyi. Vallet parking only.

So it was after long time I went to Rare65 to Celebrate my birthday. Among the food, The rolls are my favorite. I had Chilean Sea bass for main course which I personally feel was slightly over cooked, My friends had steak and lobster tail that they enjoyed. The only bummer was the service. After we complaint to the manager our server was changed because he had bad attitude. In service/ hospitality industry its important to the make the customer happy & satisfied. Nobody wants to deal with an angry server ! Other than that it was good experience.

Attended for NYE dinner. Michele and Nor were excellent servers and very attentive. The prefix dinner was delicious and the menu allowed for a large variety. The cocktails were just ok. 4 stars bc they were out of each wine we ordered, hence us switching to cocktails.

Beautiful and spacious restaurant with a lovely atmosphere and attentive service throughout the meal. The braised short ribs were very good and definitely a highlight. The steak was enjoyable, though not especially memorable, and the yellowtail crudo and tuna tartare were a bit mild in flavor for our taste. Overall, a nice dining experience with plenty to like, and we’d be happy to return.

Very good steak house. Rare 650 offers a dinner special, Sunday-Thursday. For $69 a person, you will get a delicious 3 course meal. There are plenty of choices on the menu, some have a slight upcharge such as filet mignon which was an additional 8 dollars. All the appetizers were very good and plentiful, the main courses were also delicious. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the sides were big enough to share. We had a nice bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon. All in all Rare 650 was a good experience and I will probably be back.

I visited Rare650 few months back when I was in NY for the weekend, and I had dinner here one night. Inside the restaurant is beautiful. Gives you the sense that you're in a Manhattan style establishment. We were seated up on their 2nd floor, which is the wine cellar, and unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures! But just trust it was beautiful. We started out with 2 well made cocktails, a Blueberry Mule, and a Rare650 Cosmo, one may be enough, they do not skimp on the alcohol. We ordered the calamari and rock shrimp appetizer, and it was delicious. It was fresh tasting and lightly battered and crispy. For the main, we ordered the porterhouse for 2, along with a side of truffle mash potatoes, and one spicy tune roll. The porterhouse was cooked just how we like it, medium rare. It was tender, flavorful, and certainly enough for two! When it was brought over to the table, the server carved it in front of us and served it up. I can't stop talking about how delicious the steak was! The spicy tuna roll was ok, it did however leave a very fishy aftertaste, I've never experienced with before from anywhere else that I've ordered this form. I didn't quite like that. The mash potatoes were ok, it could use a-lot more flavor, for us it was bland. We shared the deconstructed apple pie for dessert, it was warm and so comforting. A plus, you must try it if you visit this restaurant. The restaurant is beautiful, I do recommend making a reservation ahead of time. The staff was great, they welcome us in, and we were seated upstairs right away. Moments after being seat, our server came over and introduced himself and made some recommendations, which were the drinks that we ended up ordering. One thing to note, they do often have some dinner special, dinner for two for only $69.00, which comes out to a great deal. Check their website or ask the servers for their specials if you happen to drop in for dinner. We had a great experience here and we do plan to return again for another special occasion.

Service was good, but waited to order over half a hour. Food was good, although the charred octopus was too chewy, steak medium well, not medium I requested. Otherwise a nice atmosphere, pretty loud, but busy. We had a nice booth which made the experience better.

Service, drinks, and apps were great. T-bone steak was overcooked, which to me, was unforgivable at that price point.

T
The Mentor

This is a nice place and the food is good. However, I Rating it a 3 star because the food portions (for a steakhouse) are very small. The taste was there but the portions for the price is underwhelming. If you're going out for a nice date night, it would work. But if you're looking for a hardy meal, not so much..

For a restaurant of this caliber, the tables should be bigger. Once the appetizers arrived, there was no room on the table. The manager was helpful and friendly. The waiters were friendly, but a $400 bill should have a bigger table. We ended up knocking over a wine glass.

Out of all the Restaurants in this group Rear 360 was underwhelming , we were seated in the kitchen door literally the noise and movement was distasteful with reservations we waited 30mins to be seated then almost finished with dinner before an ordered side was delivered server was most gracious and accommodating for that . But the food and servers was amazing

Nestled near the 135/seaford oyster bay expressway, rare650 is a convenient access, although Google maps took us for a wrong turn (can't cut across the parking lots). Celebrating our 8 year anniversary, my wife had made reservations. Greeted by a courteous valet, parking was easy of course. We then entered a clean entrance and modern style steak house. Ambience was nice as the noise was at a low level. We were then met by 2 hostesses who promptly sat us in a booth (requested on our reservation). The booth was sat in sat approximately 5 before adding extra seating. It was certainly nice to have room and not have other people sitting very close! Our waitress promptly greeted us and gave us menus and explained specials. They also provided water, bread and a delicious table evoo that was excellent. Our first impression however was that there were crumbs already on the table in one of the corners. We didn't mention it, but it didn't set a good mood for sure. We also observed black duct tape on the seats, which gave a cheap feel to the dining experience. Between the two of us we ordered a sunrise roll, spicy girl roll, NY strip (med rare), creamed spinach and cheesecake. As the bread and oil was eaten first, it made a remarkable start as both were top notch. Sushi came next. Both rolls were better than average flavor. As I've been making sushi for almost 30 years, I noticed that the rolls were not packed tight enough. Although it was light and fluffy, almost all of our sushi fell apart before we could eat it. Some fell on the table (which was dirty, so it was NG) and a good portion fell into the soy sauce. Both rolls were listed as spicy, but we found them to have very minimal spice. The fish was fresh and delicious and the crab was premium. Panko added a nice crunch. The plates included wasabi and ginger along with some sort of disgusting shredded vegetable mix and a flower petal that we didn't decide to see if it was edible. The next course was steak. Although i though the steak had too much sear as I tasted char, my wife had no complaints. It came with a strange sauce that neither of us cared for. What was notable was that the kitchen rested the steak before plating, which was nice as it didn't sit in a puddle of juices. The steak was cooked to perfection. The creamed spinach tasted remarkably like my homemade creamed spinach. I was surprised to notice that the spinach consistency was that of frozen supermarket chopped spinach. I'd think a steakhouse would have used fresh spinach, but this clearly was frozen. It was still tasty, but I thought this shouldn't have been at a steakhouse. The restaurant gave us 2 complimentary donuts for our anniversary. A small note made in chocolate was on the donut. The note was OK, but the donut was very good! Service came and refilled our waters regularly. The manager came and checked on us which was also nice. Our bill came promptly and paying was quick. Valet was quick to get our car and it was nice to be right next to the expressway. Although I thought the pricing was reasonable, service was good and the place had some positive things to note, I don't think I'd return. I associate the Scotto brothers with a bar set high! If you would like the spinach recipe, it's online at the food network by Tyler Florence, subtract the nutmeg. I prefer it though. This review was rated against fine dining restaurants.

We came here for birthday 🎂 and they give us a complimentary donut with a candle, which was sweet. However, while my partner’s T-bone was decent, my medium-rare NY strip was quite burned on the outside while rather too undercooked in the inside, as shown below. The guy in suit said the “burn” all came from the charcoal burning. Idk you tell me… Unfortunately, the food along will not bring me back a second time.

I dined at Rare650 on January 20, 2026, to celebrate my birthday with my wife—overall a mixed experience. The ambiance was fantastic: warm and inviting with a beautiful glass ceiling offering evening sky views, great lighting, comfortable seating, and a lively yet relaxed vibe that made it special. Starters were highlights—the bacon slab was tender and flavorful, and the large sushi appetizer was generous (for 2-3 people), fresh, creative—I finished it all myself. But the $150 special single 16oz Wagyu ribeye was a huge letdown. I chose it over the $250 40oz Wagyu steak-for-two after those apps, expecting luxury from my prior Wagyu experiences. True high-grade Wagyu ribeye has intense snowflake-like marbling, rendering buttery with pale pink color, even fat, and a prominent fat cap for tenderness. Instead, it resembled a New York strip: gristly fat edge, no central marbling—just dense, chewy meat with deep red hue, no fat cap. The first bite was tough; served rarer than my medium-rare request. I flagged a waiter; he confirmed it was Wagyu ribeye and asked if I wanted the manager. I suggested reheating since too rare—he did, but it stayed tough. He asked again about the manager; on my birthday, I avoided commotion, snapping quietly: "Will the manager make it less chewy?" Service was good and friendly, main waitress attentive, but could've been more proactive on a high-ticket item. Value: Apps were excellent with big portions, but steak overpriced and misrepresented—didn't match Wagyu cut/marbling/texture despite confirmations. I'd return for starters and vibe, but skip specials without better clarification.

Good restaurant, delicious fish/sushi options. Didn’t try yet steaks there. Atmosphere is nice, TVs with sports and good music in a back BUT!!! No Apple Pay!!! And desserts were surprisingly NOT good. Tiramisu-frozen ice inside - do not recommend. Told about this issue to the waiter-just “Sorry” and didn’t try to solve the issue-provide alternative dessert or do not charge this one. Cheesecake-sour and not sweet at all. Coctails- regular good, lots of ice.

As someone who really looked forward to visiting Rare650 again, my dining experience fell drastically short of expectations. Upon entering the restaurant, I couldn't help but notice how closely packed the tables were, making the atmosphere feel cramped and uncomfortable. It was challenging to engage in conversation without feeling like we were intruding on neighboring conversations. Moving on to the main event—the food. We ordered the signature ribeye steak, expecting a sensation of flavor and tenderness. Unfortunately, what arrived at my table was a disappointment in every sense. Each bite felt like a chore, devoid of the satisfaction I typically associate with a good steak. Moreover, the sides accompanying the steak were equally lackluster. The truffle mashed potatoes were lukewarm and seemed to have been sitting out for far too long. The mushrooms lacked any freshness or vibrancy. This place used to be a great vibe and quality food a couple years ago but I would not recommend this place any longer.

What a horrible booking experience. I booked this restaurant to host a bridal shower dinner and specifically requested a room outdoors away from the public. The restaurant guaranteed I’d have the outdoor section for my event. The day of the event, I get a call from the restaurant saying the outdoor section was booked for another event and I’d be moved inside. Thank you for telling me two hours before my reservation and not weeks ago when the other event was booked. Oh btw, the event was a WEDDING! So yeah, not a last minute booking! Anyways, when we arrived, we were offered a table in the middle of a crowded dining room and the table was made for 8 people and not the 10 we requested. The hosts answer was “we can just squeeze two more chairs in.” After talking to the manager, we were shown a “private” balcony room which SUDDENLY became available. The food was fine but not spectacular. We were seated at 7:20 and did not receive our entrees until 10pm. Waiters did a great job but the customer service from the host and management team was underwhelming. If you’re planning on hosting a special dinner here, I highly recommend triple checking your reservation with the restaurant as things can change the day of apparently.

Maybe hire a hostess with better hospitality skills. Your restaurant isn’t all that special for you to be rude to someone calling and asking a simple question. Do better

My husband and I eat out 5 nights a week at high-end restaurants, and one of them is Opus. We have been eating out for the last 3 years. We have been to Rare 650 at least 4 times. We don’t come here often since we live in Old Brookville and it's a distance from us. The lady at the bar asked for our credit card before we could order our drinks. We are surprised since you would think this is a high-end restaurant. We have never been asked to surrender our cards to have drinks and dinner. We spend a lot of money on a fine wine-and-dinner experience, so we're not accustomed to this behavior. She said it's the restaurant policy, which is not true since we have been to this location before. Are we racially profiled since we are brown skinned? Unfortunately, we felt insulted and refused to go back.

My siblings and I decided to throw a last minute birthday party for my dad’s 70th on 03/09. We choose to go with Rare650 after frequently visiting Blackstone & Insignia for dinner as well as my sister attending an event at Rare650, we determined it would be the right fit. But the event coordinator, Cindy, did not give us a very warm welcome from the beginning of the process, nor seem to be hospitable when there was a confusion the night of the event. Pros: Waitstaff was phenomenal. I really wish I was able to list out every waiter that helped us that night, but Nelson definitely was attentive, and always ready to accommodate. Cocktail hour went by really well, I wasn’t able to have the hors d'oeuvres but I was told by our guest how great all the food and drinks were. The event space is really breathtaking. We started the cocktail hour in a smaller room, and ended in their Conservatory which is elegantly decorated. We also had a couple live performances from a saxophonist to Brad Wilson the singing waiter who help serenade the crowd during dinner. Cons: My biggest con for the evening is mostly surrounding Cindy the event coordinator. Being raised in the hospitality business, I understand the ins and outs of always making the guest feel at home and providing a great experience. Unfortunately my family and I found Cindy to be less than pleasant to deal with. From the beginning Cindy seemed to busy to give my sisters the proper warm welcome up until my sister put a deposit down, and was essentially radio silent up until the day before the event because her or Elena “wrote down the wrong number”, despite the numerous times I called and left my number. The night of the event we decided to do the right thing and make sure we kept our vendors fed so we ordered a few meals for them as well, to have while they were working the event. There had seem to be some confusion and the vendors food was put in a back room without all of them being aware and left there throughout the night. When it was brought to my attention the food was cold/dead and half of it was eaten, I mentioned it to Cindy, who I would hope can rectify the situation seamlessly, responded by saying “It isn’t my job to make sure your vendors eat, and now my chef is gone for the night.” Rather than matching her abrupt energy I simply asked what can they do, and somehow magically was able to get the vendors food to go. I’m not sure if Cindy was having an off month, or it was us she personally didn’t want to do business with, but I am surprised this is the way you talk to guest at the establishment. This was our third event throwing a milestone party in the last 90days, Polly’s in NYC and Morton’s on Fifth ave, and I’ve never felt more like a chore for someone the way Cindy has made us feel. And as an event coordinator everything under the umbrella of the event falls under your job description. Down to the last meal that comes out of the kitchen. Hence why we pay admin fee based off the gross amount that was spent that evening. Overall our Dad and guest enjoyed themselves. I just expected better representation of an Anthony Scotto Restaurant

The atmosphere and aesthetics of this restaurant were beautiful, and the drinks were enjoyable. Unfortunately, the food did not meet expectations. I came for dinner and ordered a NY strip steak that was burnt, not charred. It had a strong burnt taste and was very difficult to cut through. When the waiter asked for feedback, I provided my honest opinion. There was no acknowledgment of my response, and although I did not request it, the manager was brought over. I calmly explained the issue with the steak. Instead of addressing the concern or offering an apology, the manager responded in an aggressive and dismissive manner, insisting that this was how the steak is prepared. I made it clear that I understand how steak is cooked, but burnt food is unacceptable. My friend’s lamb chops were also excessively burnt, to the point that her napkins were stained as if from heavy grease or overcooking. While the ambiance and drinks were great, the food quality and customer service fell well below expectations. Unfortunately, this experience overshadowed what could have been an otherwise enjoyable evening.

This is one of the most disturbing experiences I’ve ever had with a restaurant. I have been to this place before with other people and never had an issue. This time, I drove myself and was forced to use valet parking because there is no reasonable alternative. Wanting my car to be safe, I handed over my vehicle and keys and dined at the bar on a busy Saturday night. I left around 10:30 PM. Everything appeared normal when I received my car. A few hours later, in the middle of the night, I began receiving fraud alerts for unauthorized credit card charges. The next day, I discovered that my locked glove compartment had been opened and my wallet had been accessed. All of my credit cards, my driver’s license, and pay roll were stolen, along with personal items from inside my vehicle. The glove box can only be opened with the car key, which was in valet custody. This means someone accessed my locked vehicle while it was under their control. I returned to the restaurant to speak with management and was met with complete indifference. The manager showed no concern, no urgency, and no accountability. I was told they were too busy to review security footage and later promised the footage would be sent to me — which never happened. I was never contacted, followed up with, or offered any assistance. Even worse, management claimed this had “never happened before,” which I later learned was false. After filing a police report, I was explicitly told by police that similar incidents have occurred at this location multiple times, including one involving a police officer. Law enforcement also explained that these thefts commonly occur during busy or festive periods, when valet activity is high. To add insult to injury, a valet employee was rude and dismissive when I returned, telling me I could not park without valet and would have to park far away — despite the restaurant having just opened and being nearly empty. When customers are forced to use valet, the business is responsible for the security of their vehicles and belongings. This restaurant failed at every level — security, honesty, professionalism, and basic human concern. I felt violated, dismissed, and ignored. I am posting this to warn others. Think very carefully before handing over your car and your personal belongings here.
