Wonderful farm to table restaurant that's connected to the cheese store next door. Food is great, don't miss the cheese plate. It's amazing, as is the homemade sourdough bread with unique butter spread. The main courses vary from day to day. The night we were there entrees ranged from short ribs, to a vegetarian pasta. It's a small place so can be tough to secure a reservation. It's totally unique, nothing like I've ever experienced in Syracuse. If you are a foody who loves cheese don't miss this place.
We were lucky enough to get a spot at the bar with a reservation, and it did not disappoint. If you are looking for amazing food and drink and an atmosphere that lends to great conversations this is the place for you. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. We tried several things on the menu each as good as the next. The standout dish for us was the burrata toast, we actually ordered a second one for the table. The drinks were unique and refreshing. This is a must for anyone looking for a great night with amazing food and drink, definitely get a reservation and give them a try!
WOW, is all i have to say. been a big fan of the curd nerd for a while, when i heard they were opening i restaurant i had to try it out. you can see the passion and the heart put into this place. the adorable missed matched plates/cups that are very cohesive to the atmosphere here. obsessed with the amazing and cute artwork on the walls, that i was told was either handmade, donated or i believe thrifted 🐭🧀 there’s no shortage of warm/welcoming energies here either. this experience was my birthday dinner with some of my fave people, we all had such a great evening. aislinn was lovely and vvvv good to us! sarah the owner came by to wish me happy birthday 🥹 the espresso martini was so good, hats off to the bartender 🍸 i had the basil pistachio pesto cavatelli with tomatoes, topped with burrata….. lemme tell ya absolutely divine.. all i have to say is YAS CHEF. this place is truly top notch. highly recommend if you love cute things, incredible food, all around good vibes and must love cheese.. duh. thx for making my bday feel special! luv you the wedge 🫶🏻
Absolutely astounding flavors. The burrata toast was one of the best things I’ve ever had. It was so special. Cocktails were solid, wine list was great, everything was intentional. Service was great too and they helped us even when we didn’t love one of the meals. The menu changes a lot so we will be back.
Wow wow wow! What an amazing dinner. I'm so excited this place opened up, a great date night spot without having to go downtown, a dream. The food was SO good, so flavorful and fun. The menu was creative and thoughtful while still being approachable and comforting. The drinks were also incredible, fun and fresh. This is a great place for a casual date night or a special event, I can't wait to come back and watch them grow into this space and concept. Go cheese!!
Early preview was an amazing success. Large center table for community seating with plenty of individual tables around the sides. Menu was larger than expected with lots of amazing options. We both tried pasta dishes, gnocchi with pesto, and a tortellini in sauce. Must try the house made Parmesan fries! Amazing martinis and cocktails, we will be back very soon!
This place is a hidden gem in Syracuse. Tucked away in Eastwood, I’m so glad we found this local spot. Serving up a charming, cozy atmosphere with so much character alongside their crafted artisan meals, I wish I could give this place 10 stars! My husband and I came here for our anniversary and were greeted by such warm workers and staff. The cocktails were excellent. I got the “Deep Roots” with rhubarb sweet vermouth and my gosh it was incredible. The front of house manager gave us champagne on the house for our celebration and it was such a thoughtful touch. I’ve heard some (if not all) the plates, glasses, art, chairs, and tables were locally thrifted which is charming on its own. Even though it’s mismatched, it somehow all goes together in a really beautiful way and made the atmosphere that much more fun to be in. There was so much to look at! Our app was the local cheese board with local meats and we were blown away with the flavor bombs. And then my main course was the Truffle Caramelle, my husband got the Mac and cheese - both were excellent and unique. And we polished it off with their chocolate creme brûlée and Oh. My. Gosh. This was the best part of the night. Not sure if it’s because I have a sweet tooth or what, but this dish blew my husband and I away. The best crème brûlée we’ve ever had! If you’re looking for a new spot to try, look no further!
The Wedge is exactly what a restaurant should be, and exactly what Eastwood needed! A singularly unique spot that fits the thrifty-hipster vibe into every nook and cranny of its space. A locally renown name behind the bar. Food that you can’t quite make at home and prices less than $30 in 2025. Favs: Mac and Cheese, Chocolate Crème Brûlée
They started with cheese and built a whole vibe. Now, round two? They’ve taken that same obsession with flavor and turned it into a full-blown experience. The Peppery Fennel Chicken was nothing short of a revelation. Perfectly crisped and tender, the black pepper and Calabrian chili crust delivered a bold, aromatic heat that blended seamlessly with the subtle sweetness of fennel. The half roast chicken, succulent and flavorful to the bone, sat atop a warm escarole salad- bitter greens balanced by the creamy, briny bite of ricotta salata and the earthy crunch of crispy fava beans. Each forkful was a masterclass in texture and contrast, elevated further by the rich, smoky depth of the romesco sauce beneath it all. The ambiance was intimate yet energetic. A warm hum of conversation underscored by ambient lighting that felt both sophisticated and inviting. Every detail was a quiet testament to intention. The service? Impeccable. Attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without pretension. Our bartenders (and maitre’d) guided us through the menu like seasoned storytellers. And then there was the cocktail program. A thoughtful, well-executed collection of both the classic and the unexpected. Each drink was balanced and artful, showcasing not just technique but personality. But the real unsung hero of the bar: their vermouth selection. A true gem for aperitif lovers, with a range spanning dry, sweet, herbal, and citrus-forward profiles. It’s clear this team takes their spirits seriously. In a city yearning for better options, this place stands out by doing everything with care, craft, and character. The Peppery Fennel Chicken might just be the best $28 you’ll spend this month
Phenomenal in every way. Service (recommendations, details about cocktails and cheeses, owner coming to chat and check in), food (strongly recommend getting parm covered fries with your cheese plate), and cozy homey atmosphere. One of the best dining experiences of my life.
Walked right in around 6:30 to the bar. Great atmosphere with the cutest dishes and glassware. Great food and friendly staff! MUST get the cheese board, obviously.
Hidden Gem with thoughtful, well-executed dishes
Best cocktail bar in syracuse, food is great too.
The food was interesting and really delicious! We had a selection of the small plates and macaroni and cheese, which was a showstopper. I had an excellent mocktail, which is hard to find. And the service was efficient and friendly. Loved o our dinner here
My husband and I stopped in on a cross country road trip to Maine for our honeymoon (after making an online reservation) and were pleasantly surprised! Very unassuming and humble little place off the beaten path. Excellent food and drinks (cheese is their specialty), high quality ingredients, in a fun eclectic atmosphere. It's very quirky and cute with all the mismatched glasses, chairs and plates. It feels like you're in your best friend's kitchen having the best time just hanging out. If we're ever in the area again we will be coming back! We didn't come early enough to visit the cheese shop next door and would love to do that next time. We would highly recommend this place if you're ever in the Syracuse area for a good meal, date night, or special occasion. A little bit pricey, but worth it! Thank you!! :)
My taste buds have not been this happy in a longggg time! The food is fantastic, with the perfect variety of sweet and savory. The menu is a labor of love and it shows, everything was delicious. The drinks? Equally as impressive. Flavor combinations that i could only dream of. To top all of this off, the service and atmosphere are fabulous. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.
Best casual resto in SY. Go for the cheeseboard for sure. The resto is associated w/ the high-end cheese shop next door. We went for Bruch and had a terrific Frittata( could have been cheesier funny enuff ). I would not miss this place on any visit to Syracuse.
Great family owned small business. The staff is very pleasant and the environment is inviting. Love your favorite pizza place . The pizza cutters
I was in the restaurant industry for over a decade; worked for and eaten at a lot of fine/high end dining places in most major cities, some with Michelin stars. The Wedge may have been my favorite dining experience ever. Amazing food and drinks served with care and knowledge in a comfortable environment, all while remaining unpretentious. I don’t usually write reviews but felt compelled to because I’m still thinking about my meal the next day. Can’t wait to go back.
Came here for the first time today. The staff are so kind and attentive! If I could eat their burrata toast everyday for the rest of my life, I would. They also have super fun cocktails. I had a mushroom flavored gin cocktail that was really good and another drink with celery bitters that was delightful! Definitely would recommend if you like cheese and supporting local businesses :)
We had a fabulous dinner here. Highly recommend reservations, where you can choose table, family style (a large table where you’ll sit next to others) and the bar. The bar stools actually looked very comfortable, with back support. Also, the chairs are a collection of different types so they are definitely plus size friendly (ie some do not have arm rests). The service was top notch. I had the grilled cheese of the day, which was amazing, on a cranberry sour dough. We tried the cheese plate and the pimento cheese and chips, which I highly recommend. The house made chips are amazing.
The atmosphere from the moment you walk into this place makes you feel like you walked into your Grandmother’s kitchen! My husband and I felt instantly relaxed and surrounded by people having good conversations with smiles. The staff felt more like a cousin checking in on you to see if you needed anything (think large family gathering). Now let’s talk about the food. Everything that has been served to my husband and myself has been both perfectly cooked as well as masterfully paired with everything on the plate. Both of our eyes and our pallets have experienced new flavours and foods just because it sounded good either on the menu or by the description delivered by the server. The owner has taken the time to greet us each time we have been there and we enjoy bringing new people to experience The Wedge as well! One of our top FIVE in Syracuse!
It was a wonderful experience. These brand new restaurant is exactly what Eastwood needed. It's eclectic, get elegant. The atmosphere was light and fun, and the decor matched that perfectly. I love the fact that the plateware, glassware and even the tables were mismatched to give a more homey feel. The food was delightful. We went as a group of seven and shared many of the appetizers (lots of cheese!). The main course was delicious! The menu changes regularly but I doubt there will be a bad meal there.
The Wedge is hip, unique, and sophisticated. The food was delicious (loved the fries and mac in particular), and their cocktail menu was extensive with many great options (peep the funky martinis). Perfect vibes for couples or small groups, with a chill, inviting atmosphere. Attentive service that did not miss a beat. I would highly recommend this restaurant to just about anyone.
Had a lovely time there, the atmosphere was uplifting. The owner and staff were so pleasant and service was exceptional. The menu is created daily which is so fun and creative!! The owners also own the cheese shop next store and integrate their knowledge and taste into the menu. They had three seating options, bar, table and community table were you sit with other patrons. Specifying which you prefer on your reservation or with the hostess seems to be the play! We will be coming back to this spot.
Went once and already know this is going to be a regular rotation for us. Brunch drinks were well balanced (Zinger, Creme Brulee) and tasty. Deviled egg flight was a good lead into the mac and cheese with a side of bacon. Infused butter plate ended up going home because it was so rich and creamy. Carrot cake to finish (cakes rotate, eager to see what's next). Comfortable atmosphere and easy to have a conversation at the table. Highly recommend getting a reservation NOW!
Pleasantly surprised Overall! I was In for the the first time yesterday and couldn’t be happier with the food and service! It was busy, but service did not lack. I had the gnocchi which was delicious, and my uncle had the goat cheese and beet salad . You can see the passion from the owner and staff, as the owner was doing table visits. This is how it should be done. Thank you ! I would highly recommend checking this place out!
Love it here! Every single dish is amazing, and the atmosphere is really cozy, quirky, and chill. The staff is also super friendly and down-to-earth, even with food this good. It is probably my favorite place in SYR. Try the phyllo pockets or galettes! Fries with dusted parm are so tasty and give instant happiness. The chicken dish is always tender and flavorful. Mac and cheese is insane with different cheeses each time. Don’t forget the dessert. The cakes are made special for them and out of this world. Drinks are delightful. Can’t really lose no matter what you pick.
The food was incredible, so flavorful and complex. But still provided a feeling of warmth and comfort, really a true new gem in the Eastwood area The servers and host were all very kind and friendly as we were greeted and taken care of, our server was highly knowledgeable about the menu and made some fantastic recommendations, even the chef stepped out of the kitchen to talk to tables, love to see it! Everything in the restaurant from the glassware to the bar top is second hand and recycled! It's adoring, beautiful, and eccentric. It creates a certain cozy at home feeling while still maintaining the flavor and atmosphere of an upscale restaurant We got the burrata toast appetizer and the Caramelle main dish (it's the house made cheese stuffed pasta that changes daily, the name will too I imagine) it was Heavenly, a lovely green sauce with sautéed spinach and red onions topped with sprouts For our drinks, the rhubarb NA beer mocktail was delightful! My friend got a cocktail with Apricot and Vodka and she said it was also delightful 10/10 highly recommend and can't wait to go back to try their desserts!
Just what Eastwood needed. Excellent. I started with cocktail called Zacate Zinger that was so delicious I had pork roast and chutney. Perfecto. Service was awesome. Known for their cheese the cheese plate was beautiful . The macaroni and cheese was creamy good. Just a delight. I saw frenchries go by that i was tempted yo swipe some. Lol next yime for sure. Brunch was lovely I'll definitely return.
What a wonderful, fun place! Delicious, creative, interesting food and drink choices in a terrific atmosphere. Friendly, professional server - augmented by a table visit from the manager, and then the owner! We were a party of 6, and were treated like royal dignitaries. Each person at our table plans to return, as I do for sure.
Great food, wonderful drinks and great atmosphere. Loved it, can’t wait to get back!
Atmosphere was southern grandma meets Italian grandma. The menu changes i believe daily , cute shop next door for cheese , honey , seasonings ...all types . The service was exceptional i would recommend for date night or food with friends , make a reservation and be ready to relax and enjoy a nice meal !
Nice Brunch! Menu changes up weekly...fun cocktails too. Cute space with the owner making rounds to say hello. Great addition to the James Street area!
Made a reservation (recommended) and the experience was flawless. The food, ambience and service were impressive! We are frequent Curd Nerd customers and the owners and employees are all so lovely. We will for sure be returning to The Wedge again VERY soon. Highly recommend!!!
Burrata toast was excellent. Grilled cheese of the day had a curry raclette and cherry chutney that was delightful. Even the tenderloin medallions on the entree were cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend checking the place out
Excellent atmosphere. I sat at the bar and had a rose, half order of fries, and the house made gnocchi. It was all *spectacular* I will be bringing all my friends here.
Amazing experience at The Wedge! Give them your business! Extremely friendly staff, delicious food and incredible cocktails.
Hands down my favorite place in Syracuse! The atmosphere is very inviting and the wait staff have been A++ every time I’ve gone (and I’ve gone several times since they opened). The prices are phenomenal for the quality of food and the drinks are top notch. If you haven’t been, I strongly suggest you check it out!
We live in Eastwood and are so glad to have them. Very cute space, nice staff, good food and good drinks. The cheese shop is also awesome. Eastwood needed this.
Amazing food, staff and atmosphere. You can really tell there is a lot of genuine time and effort out into making this spot great. The Phyllo Pies were phenomenal.
Eastwood is so lucky to have such a great restaurant/bar! Apps, dinner, dessert, and drinks were all fantastic. Looking forward to coming back often!
The gem of the neighborhood. The rotating menu means that there is always something fresh and new to try, and I've never been disappointed. The environment is cozy and comfortable. Dishes are creative, inspired and delicious, and I've had some of the best cocktails and mocktails that I've ever had here. Dinner is great, and you should also treat yourself to brunch.
Started with the home made french fries, topped with a heaping pile of freshly grated cheese - delicious. Had the shirt rib mezzaluna next - absolutely outstanding. Date had pasta a la Norma - also outstanding. Homemade pasta made to order. For dessert we had the chocolate cake - devine. Our server Haley was great, we'll definitely be back.
Exquisite. Warm and cozy while being sophisticated and stylish. An ever changing menu lets regulars experience new flavors with first timers having yet another reason to come back. Service was not only attentive (from many staff) but knowledgeable about every aspect of the food and drink. Of course cheese is a focus but there are a lot of options if that’s not an option for you. This is the place we’ve been waiting for in Syracuse. Looking forward to being back.
Good food, tiny portions for the price. We had a reservation but still had to wait
I love the cheese curd, and we waited weeks to get in here. Drink menu was extensive but no specific mocktails. This was Sunday Brunch. Processo on tap sounded like fun though. Most of the food was very good. Cheese tray, sweet crepe, sardines, and Pantene, but the savory crepes were very dry; they needed a sauce, and the chicken was very fatty, only 1 good piece with meat. For $ 28, you'd expect better. Since most of my family ordered the crepes, it was disappointing. They should have said something, but we weren't sure how they could fix it. Also, the order got mixed up a little. It took a while to get drinks, but that was expected. They were friendly and very busy. The eggs over vegetables were the best entree we had. I'm hoping to go back after a bit. They're too much to love. The Cheese is always amazing. The trays they make are awesome every time. 👏 🧀❤️
The Wedge offers an exceptional dining experience with a focus on quality ingredients and inventive dishes. The atmosphere is upscale yet welcoming, perfect for both a romantic evening or a gathering with friends. From rich, savory entrées to delectable desserts, each dish is crafted with care. The service is impeccable, with staff going the extra mile to make guests feel at home. A great place for anyone looking for a refined yet approachable dining experience.
The ambience was lovely, waitstaff was very friendly. Grilled cheese was delicious but the French onion soup was very disappointing, lacked flavor and was only lukewarm. Will give this local eatery another shot and try some other menu items.
I love the curd nerd. We buy cheese from them all the time, every holiday, and we were really excited to try their new restaurant. Decor is so cute, goodwill-core. Hope the plates were lead tested but with Syracuse lead service lines I guess it wouldn't matter. Unfortunately we were underwhelmed, I kind of expected more cheese, more flavor, and more sensory experiences with the food. The sad cheese board with the tiny slices of cheese and fruit... I mean maybe have another option for a more expensive plate with more options. But also, it was just basic and boring. Dried currents bring no flavor and makes the most boring raisin. The gnudi... Tasted like mush. The arugula salad had hard teeth breaking grains. It brought the sensation of rocks to the salad... Not really any flavor? Why throw that in there? The strudel was tasty but I was expecting more cheesiness... I mean this is the curd nerd's restaurant.... Where is the cheese? Service gets three stars because they forgot my drink, another server didn't know the ingredients in the dish, and the overall attitude when discussing the cheese board was like they didn't know what cheeses they were serving. I hope that the chef comes up with tastier meals because I REALLY wanted to like this place. But I'm rather disappointed. Basic and boring :(
