Tried this place for the first time! The staff was friendly, and the food was good. We especially loved the green salsa — definitely the highlight for us. We tried the rice and chicken fajitas, and everything was tasty. Service was also fast. The atmosphere was okay, but the table wasn’t cleaned before we were seated, which ended up staining my top. I’d expect the tables to be clean before guests are shown to their seats. The place wasn’t overcrowded and was easy to find.

This was a great find and agreat choice while restaurant surfing. Tucked away in a serene neighborhood about 1.5 miles off 30 West, Amigo Juan offers a delightful dining experience with its great ambiance and well-thought-out decor. The interior layout is inviting, creating a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere that's perfect for both romantic dinners and family gatherings. The menu, while not extraordinary, provides a variety of options to suit different tastes. The real standout, however, is the service. The attentive waiter and the owner, who both exhibit a commendable level of customer focus, enhance the overall dining experience. We were even treated to a complimentary dessert, a testament to their dedication to customer satisfaction. The restaurant's romantic setting and accommodating nature make it a versatile choice for various occasions. With a diverse and friendly customer mix, Amigo Juan is a place I'd recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a pleasant meal in a welcoming environment. I will be back again to try other items on their menu

Overall food is good and authentic (well, according to American standards lol) and customer service is friendly. However it does not seem to be common sense here that to-go orders needs to be equipped with utensils and napkins. I’m just glad my work place has some plastic utensils because I wouldn’t even be able to eat my lunch ordering from this restaurant unless I eat with my hands?

We've been here a few times and it's okay. Just your average run of the mill Mexican food restaurant. If you want tacos go to Abuelo's or Vero's. It's better than Zapata's downtown Texarkana.

The food was alright and the drinks wasn't good to me. I did not like the Salas. The chips Tasted stale.

The food was okay, but not as good as the Amigo Juan's I go to regularly. Different locations might do things differently though. The server got a few things wrong but we didn't say anything since it wasn't the biggest deal to us. The atmosphere was very similar to the other Amigo Juan's, warm and colorfully inviting. Just wish the service and food were up to expectations based on the other location.

To be fair, food was a 3 and the service a 4. Had the shrimp nachos which were bland and way too much cheese. The rice bowl chicken was also bland. Server was very attentive and friendly. Decor is colorful and the atmosphere is noisy with lots of children. All in all not a place I would return to.

O. K. Amigo Juan’s food is good. HOWEVER, the waitress stood over my shoulder the entire time while I signed my receipt. That is is horrible and definitely decreased her TIP. FYI— waiters and waitresses do not stand over the shoulder of the guest/ customer/ patron as they complete their ticket. Otherwise…..Juan Amigo’s was delicious.

The service was adequate and the food was plated well. This is the third time in two years that I have been to this particular establishment, each time I have received poor service or a wrong order. This last time my food was just barely warm. This seems to be a normal event for this restaurant. I WILL NOT frequent this restaurant again unless they make significant improvements to service and quality of the food.
