Hectors Snow Cones

My first time going to this place. We only got a snow cone, but it was perfectly blended. We will come back to try their Mexican food .

5 star tacos ..perfectly seasoned al pastor, and even the carne asada was tender!! Salsa too where great. Loved the charred oniond

Hector has been un business since 1999! Hector and his daughter offer much more than sno cones. They have great kittle seating area, met and yucked it up with some locals. Made off with a big bag of chips, a Mojito lime sno cone and a kick ass huge Carnitas "quesadilla" really loaded.. hotsauce, sourcream and guacamole included. $2o well spent. 2 meals.

Amazing mulitas tacos rice and snow cones (comes in cups which is brilliant). Service was fruendly and fast. Giant tree gives shade over picnic tables. Perfect

Stayed in Ukiah for a night driving through California, and tried the birrias. Two years later, nothing has come close to the perfected birrias.

Perfect little stop for a quick bite. Food is well made and it shows for a road side food truck. Beautiful sitting area which is perfectly shaded on a hot day, pairs well with a snow cone!

The best Sno-cone I have ever had in my life... They have at least 50 or more flavors to choose from, you will want to go back to try a few so go with a medium size drink, the large was way more than I could handle! And they also have really good Mexican food with a small and cozy outdoor patio. Loved it!

I've been getting snowcones here since they started. Fast service, decent prices on snowcones, and they've expanded to homestyle Mexican hot food, as well. There's a little shaded patio area with seating while you wait or eat. My favorite is a half Candy Cream/half Cotton Candy mix.

Nothing beats shaved ice on a hot day. Especially in the portions, flavor choices, and prices here. Unbelieveably reasonable prices. I am blown away at the fantastic deals this place offers anyone in Ukiah. Who isn't happy after a visit to get hector's snow cones? Everyone leaves happy who comes here. I only see smiling faces.

I’m so obsessed with these snow cones that I’ll come up with any excuse to go to Costco in Ukiah, an hour from home, just so I can grab one. I order the exact same flavor every time. At this point, I’ve had enough of them to say with absolute certainty: when the older man makes it, it’s the best snow cone on earth. Perfect texture. Perky. Icy. Heaven. But when the younger woman makes it, it turns out like snow cone soup. Very wet, no structure, just… wet slush. I’m assuming the snow all comes from the same machine, so I have no idea how his are so firm and refreshing while hers are so soupy. The flavor’s great either way, so it’s still a treat, but for me it really throws the whole texture off and I’m bummed. Usually I go alone, so it’s not a big deal if it’s a “meh” day. But one time I hyped these up like crazy and brought my teenager along. She handed us two cups of soup, and I had to convince him I wasn’t lying about how amazing they usually are. Still obsessed. Just hoping I catch the right snow cone artist next time.

Yesterday I headed out for a snack at Hectors snow cones. I ordered the tostilocos. The cucumbers were very tart and the chips tasted a little odd. I glanced down at the date on the bag of chips and it said November 22nd of 2022. When I returned them the young lady offered to my money back. The lady in the back took a look at them and said "what's wrong?" The date was said. She was like that's BS she almost ate all of them. I had not. That's besides the point. What did she expect for me to continue with the food poisoning? The lady in the back only wanted to refund me partial part of the money. I asked for a full refund. I will never be going back to them. They could of just apologized and made it right. But they had to make sure thay they were able to humiliate a person for speaking up. I will be making a formal complaint and will never return to thay establishment. Which is a shame because I am all about shopping local.

This place needs to update their webpage. I went to order at 8:45 and they told me that they are closing so they shut down the kitchen and are only selling snowcones.
