Literally the best, freshest chicken tortilla soup I've ever had, and the most well balanced delicious cobb salad. I live in the Bay Area, in a quality-restaurant-deprived area. If I could have a place like this near me, I would eat there everyday!. Beautiful atmosphere too
Great place to eat! Loved the Margaritas but my actual favorite is the Greenleaf Mule with active Charcoal. All the tacos are amazing and worth trying my favorite is the Carnitas & Shrimp!
Wow. Fun and super cool, TWO patios. Happy happy hour, which I am testing as we speak. Chipotle Chicken Panini for lunch was spicy and really interesting tastes, enough but not too much. Nice ale on tap and a full bar, and Destiny gave me the best choco-chip cookie I’ve had in at least a year. Good tunes, nice little nooks to retreat to with your friends and a comfortable airy bar where you can watch the Abbot Kinney crowds walk by…while you drink :) Spent around $40/person for lunch and several drinks. Feels like good value. ALL Good!!!
One of my favorite places on Abbot Kinney - they combine cozy decor with ample outdoor seating, and their prices are very reasonable. Whether it’s coffee, lunch, or happy hour, Greenleaf always delivers. All the staff are friendly, and they are also laptop-friendly and dog-friendly.
We always eat here when we visit Abbot Kinney/Venice Beach. I usually get the smashed avocado with some added lox on top and their turmeric drink which is sooo good. This last time we ate here, we brought our little dog and they grilled some plain chicken for him. There's a breezy cozy indoor-outdoor feeling throughout the establishment with bar seating inside and really lovely shaded back and side area seating, my favorite. The restrooms need a code. Enjoy the laid back and tasty atmosphere.
Greenleef in Venice is a great plant-based spot right in the heart of Los Angeles. I really enjoyed their roasted kidney bean salad — fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The staff were super friendly and gave great advice on sides that made the meal even better. The vibe here in Los Angeles is laid-back and modern, perfect for a healthy lunch or a casual dinner. Service was quick and attentive from start to finish
We stopped in for a quick weekday lunch while shopping on Abbot Kinney. They offer full service at the bar seating or you can order at the counter and they’ll bring your food to the table of your choice. It was easy and during the week, there was plenty of seating. We opted to sit at the bar and were waited on right away. The food came out quickly and our meals were great. They seemed to use fresh ingredients and everything we tried had flavor. I definitely recommend this spot if you want a better atmosphere and dining experience than a counter service spot but you still want the same quick, in-and-out offering.
A very cool place to get quality food very well prepared. Stopped in for lunch and had full service at the bar. Ordered a Cubano sandwich to share. Bartender had the kitchen split it on two plates - rare these days. Sandwich was delicious and sweet potato fries tasty. Full bar and very friendly team members here. Lots of seating options if you order up front. Highly recommend this establishment.
One of the best pretzel buns I've ever had in my entire life. This place is stunningly beautiful, and the food is out of this world. We had the turkey melt on a pretzel bun as well as the veggie burger. Both were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend sitting at the bar or on their beautiful patio. Get to know their staff as they were so lovely. This place brings a healthy addition to a street that demands high quality. An absolute treasure.
Came here for a late brunch, turn lunch and could not decide what to get off the menu because everything looked so good. We ordered at the counter, received our number, and headed to the outdoor seating area to find a table without a problem as there is tons of seating options. The outdoor area is dog friendly! Overall the food was great, and portions very fair. I loved my salad- it was perfect for a hot summer day. My mom also loved her bowl- it was definitely heartier than the salad. Would definitely come back to try other things on the menu. Considering it’s a rather popular restaurant on Abbott Kinney, the prices are very fair, and drinks were also delicious. Definitely give this place a try if you’re in the area!
I had an appointment in LA and arrived very early. I headed out to Venice and looked for a good place to have lunch. On Abbot Kinney, I found Greenleaf. The young lady at the counter was so friendly and welcoming. I wish I had taken her name, but she was at the counter on 7/20/2021 around noon. One of their specials was the avocado pizza with aioli. I ordered that and washed it down with a nice, smoky, spicy margarita. Wow, what a lunch this was! Honestly, this was some of the freshest, best-tasting food I have had eating out. I wish this restaurant was closer to me, but the next time I'm in LA, I know where I'm going. Seriously, if you anywhere close to this place, you need to go. It's excellent!
Casual cafe with healthy options. They have a nice heated patio that’s good for studying or for hanging out with people. You order at the counter first and then they’ll bring your food out. Credit cards accepted. Street parking. They do serve alcohol. Restrooms available outside in the right hand side of the exit. The tumeric latte was well made and I liked that the ketchup they had for the fries was sugar-free.
I went to Abbot Kinney in Venice with my dog, and found the patio to have lunch without a wait. There's an outside patio on the side and back of the building. The taste of the food was all pretty nice. I loved the avocado toast because cucumbers were added for freshness. La La Bowl with shrimp was also tasty. My only complaint is that the La La Bowl portion was quite small for the price. 11 tiny shrimps cost $5 extra. I took a photo up close but the plate itself was pretty small.
The vibe here is interesting. Is it a cafe? A bar? Nice that there’s outdoor seating but the tables weren’t super clean. Food was healthy and delicious and came out pretty quickly after ordering. Would eat here again. Felt casual, like we could hang out there and it wasn’t a big deal.
I was excited to try this food as it was one of the healthier options. However the chicken was dry, the fries weren't seasoned well and the seasonal veggies needed much more flavor and salt. There were no sauce options for the fries that I was aware of and I'm someone who rarely wastes food but I did this time. The workers were nice and I appreciated the calories being listed on the menu, but the food needs improvements! Just some salt packets being available would've helped haha.
Food was pretty average — granted, I recognize the experience may be different doordashed vs. dining in. I got the hollywood bowl - no dressing or cheese. The portion size was good though — it’s a healthy light lunch to have. Not bad at all— the food is typical and what you’d expect it to taste like
They have a salmon pomodoro platter, chicken panini sandwhich and sweet potatoe fries. It’s in a nice location on Abbot Kinney street. I would go there with friends and family for a casual lunch or dinner date but, i wouldn’t go there for a night out. Casual, quick, cute. Ps: Cleanliness is not top notch. I think they can do better.
I meet some friends here for Sunday brunch. The vibe is great but we really did not like the food. The burrito's flavor was good but the tortilla was wet and soggy. The turkey burger was just ok, a little grainy but the fries were good. The staff was excellent and the outdoor seating was nice with views right onto Abbott Kinney. It may be worth checking out for the first, but I will not return.
Horrible service - rude and lazy I hate to write bad reviews - but this needs a manager and a chef … The order was taken by someone who despises customers and clearly doesn’t like her job. Kitchen couldn’t prepare half of the basic stuff on the menu. The Cobb salad is a joke with less than a gram of proteins (chicken and egg)! We had drinks and asked for water - never got it Snob and cheap in quality (not in price)
This place used to be good. For the last 3 times I came it was not good and I decided to leave a review. Cashier didn’t know the menu at all. When I asked for chicken tortillas soup he said “yes, we have tacos” 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ cashier even did not know that they do combo. I asked him what options for combo, he was trying to find out this information. So I ordered combo - chicken tortillas soup with chicken pesto panini. My friend ordered Kids cheeseburger and FRUIT salad. My order came quickly, but instead of the spoon to eat soup the waiter brought me a fork. The taste of the soup was not that good, cuz of the crunchy cheese they put there, plus there was no tortilla strips, no avocado or cilantro, and it was super spicy etc. My chicken pesto was ok, but they’ve put not a good part of the tomatoes in it. My friend was waiting for her food way too long that I already finished mine. And when she got her “cheeseburger”, there was just huge peace of bun with meet, it was hard to find a cheese. In FRUIT salad we found cucumbers 🤷🏻♀️ And waiter even didn’t bring the water.
