10/10 highly recommend. I ordered through UberEats and was a little nervous since I didn’t go in store. They did not disappoint. Even with it being 30 degrees outside my food was all hot when it arrived. Great portions.
The food counter at this Exxon station IS Waller County Line BBQ. My son prefers their pulled pork, but I could have finished his beef briscuit plate and my half chicken both. The rind on the melt in your mouth briscuit was richly flavorful, but the chicken (though perfectly tender) did need the sauce for flavor. Sauce comes in two flavors: sweet and spicy. The spicy is not peppery hot but rather deeply savory with a strong Worcestershire flavor. I tried it only after having used the sweet on most of my chicken. Both were excellent, and I think a blend would be even better. Sauces are available bottled for sale and next time we go, which will be soon, I’ll bring some home.
The sauce was AMAZING! The loaded Waller dog was a very high quality wagu beef hot dog loaded with bbq chopped beef, bbq sauce, sour cream, cheese & chives! Chopped beef baked potato was outstanding as well. This is some of the best bbq sauce I’ve ever tasted ya’ll seriously need to try this hidden gem! Quiet country style dining experience inside & lots of dessert options to choose from as well!
By far some of the best stuffed bake potatoes I've had in the longest of times. My wife introduced me to this place, since then we treat ourselves from time to time. The waller Dog is delicious and one of the best BBQ topped hot dogs we each have ever had. Thankfully we split a potato this last time around! We are thankful for the workers and their busy days, we have literally seen them fix tons of potatoes with a friendly attitude and demeanor! You will continue to have our business!! Update 09-13-2024 I come back a couple times a year, the food and the Waller dog are still delicious! I always recommend it!
Delicious and unforgettable great tasting food! The brisket potato is my favorite and the chicken plate is addictive! I have tried the tasty sliced brisket sandwich and it was delicious! The Waller dog was ok but not my favorite. Try it though, you may really like it. You won’t know unless you try it. You don’t have to drive far to get great barbecue food!! If you happen to drive by, stop by, you won’t regret it.
Dont listen to the bad reviews, this place is an absolute gem. Brisket and loaded baked potatoes are the way to go!! I always get my stuff to-go

Great food. Tasty brisket. Good big baked potatoes. Clean environment fast service. Good people working behind counter
The loaded potato is huge and my go to on my long road trips. They really load up your potato with everything you want. I ask for sauce on the side since it can get messy on the road.

The brisket was juicy and good. I had the potato salid and coleslaw, which were also good. The line was always out the door the entire time I was there. The dining room is where the store shelves use to be. I do recommend stopping at this location. Grab a dessert while you’re there.
Mixed review. Food was above average and definitely feels like an authentic Texan bbq with all its complimentary sides and fixin’s. Their afternoon colored Staff for that day was not friendly but defensive even when asked simple questions for a new comer. At first I thought I was the problem, but the customer in front and behind us also had issues. Not sure if they just had a bad day or are used to people taking advantage of them. In any case I heard from a relative that their Hispanic crew in the mornings is way nicer. Would come back for the food if customer service would get better.
Great BBQ place! Smoked brisket was perfect! It was smoked perfect and was juicy. Chicken was ok. Backed beans were a great choice. Coleslaw was ok. Some places have better taste. Overall, it was a great experience. Two meat plates were more than enough for me. Also, sausage was good! Little bit pricey.
The smoked brisket was excellent. Chopped beef was above average. The beans were very good. The boudin balls were average because the outside was tough, in other words it was not fresh fried. We will certainly visit again. Side note, I saw the loaded baked potatoes & they are massive. Ribs were above average. Potatoes salad was good, Cole slaw was good as well.
7.29.25 \nI stopped in to pick up dinner for me and my hubby. \nThe bbq is always good but, \n$50.00 (b4 tip) for 2 people is a bit much for bbq. (And I did not buy dessert this time) I know meat…

Oh wow!!! I cannot believe I'm giving this bad review, but, I have to. Wednesday, February 25th, I went in and purchased 2 loaded baked potatoes with chopped chicken, received excellent service and the potatoes were absolutely delicious. Today, Tuesday, March 3rd, I placed an order for delivery online (via ChowNow) at about 2:15 pm. asking for 1 smoked turkey and 1 smoked chicken loaded baked potatoes. I called before placing the order because those options are not listed on doordash nor the ChowNow website. I was told by the to add our choices in the notes. Great, I did that on ChowNow (doordash doesn't allow it) and paid. The email said the order would be delivered at 3:17 pm. I called at 3:27 pm and after a brief hold a second person came on the line and another short hold and was told the driver is just barely leaving and would be here in 20 minutes. I received a call about 6 minutes later to say that they do not have smoked turkey and would I like something else. I expressed my disappointment since the conversation prior proved that I was lied to about my delivery. She apologized and asked again if I wanted something else. I said what I wanted and said I couldn't believe this. I believe she was saying thank you while I was saying I will never place again but she had already hung up while I was in mid-sentence. I do hope my potatoes are hot and just as delicious whenever we finally get them. Nevertheless, ordering delivery is certainly not a good idea when you're hungry.
The outside looks like a real good place to get BBQ. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. The brisket was presliced, that's what they do up north, and brisket should never be presliced. Then when asked if I wanted lean or moist, NO, it must be one or the other,no mixing. Your competitors will mix it. This is the first time I've ever been told one or the other. I tried calling on the phone, no answer and the mailbox is too full to leave a message.
Recently moved out near Waller and was looking for a new bbq spot, unfortunately this won’t be it. The food was all cooked very well, the brisket was tender (the lean pieces were dry as usual), sausage was cooked well. The issue is there wasn’t really any flavor, would have been hard to eat without the sauce. Baked beans were good, potato salad had hard boiled egg in it which was new for me, they were just ok. Not much to look at inside, but it’s a gas station so no big shock there. If they’d add some seasoning I think they’d be onto something.
I got the feeling this place has gone downhill. No one was sitting down to eat and a few people were getting orders to go. An employee that was behind the register took a break and was in the restroom in the handicap stall listening to something on her phone quite loud while other people were waiting for the changing table which is in that stall. She proceeded to come out and say it was her first break all day as if to make an excuse for using that restroom. She walked around checking the trash cans in the other stalls which do not lock and then washed her hands before returning to work. That was reassuring to see. Our party ordered three loaded baked potatoes and one sausage on a stick. They were sold out of everything except for chopped beef and pulled pork. They had part of a sausage that had been on the roller that they offered to give us for free since they didn't have enough sausage to complete the sausage on a stick. People behind the counter preparing the food kept commenting how surprised they were how popular the baked potatoes are. Maybe they were new. For those three baked potatoes and three fountain drinks, we spent nearly $70. It's not worth the money for me.
The food was ok. I did not like the imitation bacon bits on the bake potato. The slice beef brisket was too hard, not seasoned and we ask for lean( still had fat on the meat)! The shelves were empty. The restroom was a hot mess. The barbecue sauce was seasoned well, but the meat wasn’t. Oh also, your fountain drinks are way overpriced.
Baked Potatoes were huge and super soft . Fully loaded but with imitation bacon bits . Jalapeño sausage is very good . We also got turkey and chopped beef but was more like shredded and not very good or flavorful at all . Potato salad plain no flavor no pickle no egg just potato and mustard . Baked beans were ok . Definitely had way better bbq at several other places . Sliced cake over $5 and didn’t look very good. The lady that made our food was friendly.
I had a taste for BBQ and knew this place was on the route after passing it for years. I tried the Waller Dig and wasn't disappointed at all! I added jalapeños to mine for a little kick. My girlfriend tried the ribs, potato salad, and baked beans. I tried everything on her plate and it was all bland. The ribs tasted like smoke with no seasoning, the potato salad had good texture and consistent cuts, but had zero flavor and the baked beans tasted the same. I appreciated the fact that the ribs were not already sauced. We also got two slices of cake. One strawberry and one German chocolate. I'd stop again for the cakes!
The brisket isn't smoked much. Taste and texture is more like stew meat. Ribs are fine. Brisket could use a little more trimming of the fat and more bark so the you get a good bark taste, without a…
Just not very impressed. HEB has much better brisket. The potatoe salad was on the sweet side, I think they use sweet relish in it. The green beans were the best.

Bar-b-Q sauce is nothing to write home about, especially the spicy. It tastes like store bought sauce with Tabasco dumped into it. Picked up 3 sausage on a stick and payed $30 (about what one would expect to pay at the county fair...) The cashier had a very.... dismissive attitude would be a nice way to put it. However the lady serving the food was very nice ( that's where the second star came from...) I stopped coming here years ago because of the price to quality ratio and decided to give it another chance. I guess ill wait a while longer before I come in here again and pass it up to go to the BBQ joint in Hempstead. (Not sure if you can see in the picture but the spicy sausage was a bit dry so be sure to grab a drink on your way out...)

Keep driving. Or go to Buccee’s across the highway. Food was not good. Food is crazy expensive for what it is. Almost $10 for a plain baked potato. Baked beans taste like pork and beans with bbq sauce, potato salad had no flavor and was mush. Brisket was ok. We love bbq but we will fly past this place every time.
I will never ever eat there again. What is the got a bad case to diarrhea? Cold chills a headache with bad side pain. I believe I got food poisoned from the brisket. I haven't eaten there in years. I was excited to try it again. I started feeling sick before I even left the place.
For many years, I have told a lot of people how good Waller County line is as I recently went. I was shocked to find it’s just not the same anymore to add to it. The prices have tripled basically and what really set me off. Was I ordered three Boudin balls and they gave me what appears to be like five day old Boudin balls. The rice was hard and crispy and I couldn’t even eat the things. I threw them out the window so definitely not gonna be recommending this place anymore and that’s sad cause they used to be really good.
I’ve been coming to Waller County Line since I was a kid, and it was always my favorite spot for a loaded baked potato growing up. So when I found myself on this side of town, I decided to stop by for the nostalgia. I ordered one single loaded baked potato, and when I got to the register, I was shocked to see it rang up as $22. When we questioned the price, we were met with attitude and told we must have asked for extras, which we did not. The price was then corrected to $18, which was still surprising, especially since we had checked their prices online beforehand and the menu lists a loaded baked potato at $9. When we asked about the discrepancy, the cashier rudely explained that the online menu was outdated. If that’s the case, those prices really need to be updated or honored, we would have never come had we known we’d be paying $18 for a single baked potato. I almost walked out, but against my better judgment we paid and left. Unfortunately, the food itself wasn’t what it used to be either. Between the rude staff, inaccurate pricing, and outrageous cost, this visit completely ruined what used to be a childhood favorite.
