The food was great, the customer service was on point, and I love the deck on the pond. We were able to get fish food and feed the fish and that was my favorite part of the whole experience! We have already been back and I can't wait to come again.

During hunting season the Shriners have an auction. The organization is great and a good cause, but I come to eat and socialize with with my friends. Much too noisy for us. So, we have to come earlier. The heater was out and it was cold near the window, but still worth going there.

Great place to visit. The food is very good and the service is the best. The view surrounding the restaurant is one view that you have to see for yourself. If you ever get a chance to visit i suggest you make the trip you won't be sorry.

Last time I was there I enjoyed the food and atmosphere more than words can say. I have to get back there with my new bride for dinner.

COVID had kept us away from the rainbow lodge to long. Last night was our first visit since COVID. The hour drive was more than worth it. Greeted by Jimmy, a great guy and an even greater chief. Had a great meal, enjoyed the scenery. Couldn’t have picked a better place to relax and enjoy our 59th anniversary.

Perfect spot for motorcyclists to stop for a meal. Excellent Portuguese inspired food. Great service. Outside shaded tables.

At first glance, the food is a little pricey but once you taste it, it all makes sense! I'll come back just for the coconut shrimp and poutiene. But the steaks are mouth watering and the liver and onions were cooked perfectly. Cheap drinks, beautiful view, clean and delicious!

Under new management, new ownership. They put a lot of effort into what was once a rundown disappointed. The food is good and the salad bar better. We were served by a lovely young lady named Kennedy who is very sweet.

Surprised by the place and the food. We've driven by the turn for the Rainbow Lodge - Restaurant many times without taking it until today. It's about a 5 minute ride off RT10. We were a group of 7 looking for some post hike food. The place is clean, staff is friendly and the food is decent. Since it was mid-afternoon, none of us ordered any large meals. Rather, some ordered sandwiches, others appetizers, while I and another person ordered smoothies. The food didn't disappoint and the prices are good. The menu is extensive so we plan on returning in the future. (I didn't expect this place to have a selection of over five smoothies!)

The place is spacious, the food is wonderful. I had portuguese soup and portuguese style steak made by Elisa and was delicious. The kitchen is super organized and cleaned (for me, the cleanliness is extremely important). And, as a plus, you have a beautiful view over the pond. I love the place and recommend.

Staff is beyond friendly, the food is absolutely delicious, as are the mixed drinks. My husband's steak was incredible, his words not mine. As incredible as his steak was, my stuffed lobster was even better 😋 Set on a back road, in a beautiful setting, rural and quiet. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing! The food was great! I got a seafood a la chefe, and my husband got a steak, both were cooked to perfection, but the scallops in my chefe were cooked perfectly and so delicious!! We had dessert to finish it all off and that too was perfect! Creme de Brule and a chocolate mousse were worth every penny! Atmosphere is calming and the scenery is breathtaking! Check it out, you won't be disappointed!

Food was good, never have had a bad meal here. Service was interesting. A waitress would check on our table and a few minutes later another one would make the same inquiry. I dont think they communicate with each other. My biggest complaint has always been the sound in the dining room. There is nothing to absorb any sound. You have to shout at your table mates to have a conversation. The surrounding are beautiful, but the sound and loudness make it more like a diner than a great restaurant. Just my opinion.

The food was delicious! A bit on the expensive side, but worth it overall. The view outside is great especially with the mountains in the background. Got the French onion soup, salad bar, and 16oz pepper steak. The steak was cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious! It seemed like they had their own blue cheese sauce for the salad bar and it was great. The soup was pretty good too. Excellent customer service and friendly staff. The only real negative I can say about it is for it being the prices it is, I would have though some things would be a little better, like actual glass glasses and not plastic ones or plastic plates for the salad and bread.

I remember the salad bar always had pickled beets no more the bartender kept on going outside and I believe to smoke while we ask for the web password and she got a menu and she said it to phone number so I don’t know if she’s new because she didn’t know the phone number and you think she would’ve gave us two menus one for my wife one for me but maybe it’s not her job I don’t know if she’s new or what but not very happy and the waitresses were very polite friendly but seems like they’re very shorthanded. I told the one don’t rush. We have no way to go, but I did order a drink and I thought it was on tap the apple cider 16 ounce glass and I got a bottle not very clear reading the menu so I think that it’s going down hill and no signs on the road by Rt10 or going up to the place my wife said maybe they’re closed maybe they went out of business but when we got up there, we saw some cars. New Orleans was good at the beginning. Seems like to forget what the price was

Note to Owner- Blasting Kid Rock music from the speakers does not create a quiet dining experience for an older person. The good: This place is beautiful. The dining area is nice and the view of the lake with the mountain in the background is really nice. This is probably a great place to see the fall foliage. The bad: Unfortunately, our service was really slow and I thought my meal was just ok. We were there for over an hour and forty-five minutes while our server didn’t seem to be very busy. When we entered there was one other table being served and there were no more than two other tables during the time we were there. My food was ok but it had been sitting for a while and the chicken was really tough. The sauce was good and on a good night it probably is a good dish. I guess it just wasn’t my night.

I've always enjoyed riding the motorcycle to the Rainbow for lunches. The bar food has always been good. It is a nice location off the beaten path. But our last trip for dinner was terrible. A few months back eight of us went for dinner. Wait times were slow. Many of the servers were too busy serving a family style dinner to what appeared to be the owner's. The cooks and everyone was too busy visiting their table to ensure their experience was great, meanwhile their customers were neglected. Food arrived, beef and broccoli wrap was old meat and sent back. Fish was freezer burned tasting and soggy. We notified the server who said they let the cooks know but we were still charged for the food we sent back. We were so tired of waiting around we just paid and left. I will never return for dinner, maybe only drinks and bar food.

Been talking this place up for a while to a friend of mine. 4 of us took a ride out there on our bikes today. We walked in and stood next to the "please wait to be seated" sign for about 10-15 minutes before anyone came up to seat us. After we sat another 15 minutes before we got our drinks. We ordered out food and sat their for an hour and a half waiting for our food before we just got up and left. We where there for about two hours and got a round of drinks. The service sucks and the server should find another profession. We wouldn't have given her a tip even if we did get our food. An absolute joke, oh and there were maybe 5 other tables when we got there and 2 when we left so it was not busy. We will not be back and I suggest you not go there either. The food is not worth the wait nor the expense, might as well go into Walton or Deposit and spend your money where you will actually get the food you order.

If I could give this zero stars I would. On Valentine's day we had dinner and our steak was severely undercooked after asking for it to be medium it was cold and raw in the center. We asked for it to be re-cooked, when it came back out it was the same as it went in, still cold and raw in the center. After speaking with the manager she informed us that she could package it up to go if we wanted to. We told her no we either wanted one cooked or if she could please take it off the bill. They gave us $8 off a steak that was never cooked nor did we eat it. It literally went in the trash and at first the manager refused to give us the owners contact information. Honestly at that point it wasn't worth even calling if this is who you employ and the service we were given.

Soo not what I was thinking... We went there on my birthday and they must have rented out the place out because we couldn't hear each other talk and we were next to each other. Plus, the food made me sick twice, the night we ate there and the next day when I ate the leftovers. 2 out 10 would not go back. They could have told us there was a BIG PARTY going on, but they didn't...

I’ve been here 2 times and both times I’ve been impressed by the views of the pond and leaves during the season change. Friendly staff! Be prepared to wait 45+ min for food 2 tables that came in after us got their food before us. It wasn’t until I got aggravated and walked out (after paying for my drink) that the waitress came running out the door to tell me my food is done.

Waited an hour for our food. Ordered the prime rib medium rare but it was at least medium well, very tough, top surface was dried and cracked like it had been sitting out, and it tasted like it had been soaking in Campbell's condensed soup instead of like actual beef. It was legit the worst prime rib I've ever had, I only ate about a third.

Called and talked to owner told him I had a group of people coming in at 12 I was told he he had not room but even if he did he would not allow us to come with a group over 10 because it disrupts his dinning room guess the guy doesn't want business never takein a group there again

Ordered a rare steak, it was well done on 1/2 and medium well.on the other. Meat was tough, could not eat it. Waitress kept forgetting some meals. We had to reminder her we were missing soup and meals for 2 out of the 8 of us. Drinks were also forgotten. We loved going there when Jimmy Jack cooked. This is our second time there since, never again. Too price for poor food, weak drinks and service.

This happened Friday night after driving for almost four hours from out of town. Well our server started out nice but by the end of our meal she was not so nice. It took a while to get anything even though they weren't that busy. We didn't complain at all just asked after a long while if our food was ready because people that sat after us were getting food. The server went and checked and said it was being plated. Okay no problem and it came out a few minutes later. My husband got a "special " it was so salty that he could only manage two bites. The server came around to check on us and he said it was too salty please take it back. No apology, no offer of anything else even though he said he didn't want anything else (because we waited long enough) but didn't even offer. His soup was good though when he finally got it. So mine was okay, edible but not what I remembered the last time we were there. He sat there quietly while I ate. The server came over to see if we wanted anything else and my husband said flatly because he was hungry tired and disappointed " just the check please". Well she yelled " you don't have to have an attitude!" She came back with the check and he said sorry and I didn't say it like that and she yelled again " you were nasty!" And walked through the dining room yelling he's nasty! We paid our bill and as we were leaving he said goodbye and thank you and see said " yeah" So we should have went to Danny's when we passed it coming into town but wanted to go to Rainbow Lodge because it's been a while. Never again.
