I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding an online order I placed on November 26, 2025, for the 9-Piece Classic Signature Chicken Family Meal at the Popeyes location on 2000 Marengo Street, Los Angeles, CA 90033. Before placing my order, I selected this specific store within the Popeyes app. I then chose and paid for the “pick your own chicken” option, which clearly allowed me to select all white meat. My order was accepted, confirmed, and processed without any warning or restriction stating that the chosen store could not fulfill the selected option. However, upon arrival, the staff—and specifically the manager—refused to honor the order as placed. I was told that the location “only fulfills this promotion with dark meat,” despite the fact that I ordered and paid for all white meat, and despite the app clearly allowing this selection. Even after I showed the manager the promotion, the app options, and my receipt, he offered no solution and no attempt to correct the situation. His response was simply that the store “does not do that,” regardless of what the online system advertised or allowed. This experience felt like bait-and-switch. The online system offered and sold me one thing, while the store refused to provide it. Since the store was selected before ordering, Popeyes was fully aware of which location would be fulfilling the purchase. I do not feel it is right, fair, or ethical for a customer to be charged for an item the location has no intention of fulfilling. This situation left me extremely disappointed in Popeyes. I have been a loyal customer for years, and I expected better integrity regarding advertised promotions and online orders. Unfortunately, this experience felt deceptive and dismissive, and I do not plan on returning to Popeyes in the near future as a result. I am requesting that Corporate review this incident, address the misleading online promotion, and ensure this store—and any others—either honor the online options or immediately stop advertising options they refuse to fulfill. I would appreciate a response regarding how this issue will be handled and what steps will be taken to prevent this from happening to other customers.

It's okay. The food is good and decent. I feel that the chicken could be fresher because if you take it home it ain't going to be good the next day. My issue is also the homeless people inside or waiting by the entrance.

Customer service was great. Good drink selection. Disappointed with the quality of the food. Chicken was too dry. Popcorn shrimp was overcooked and lost the airiness with a tough bite.

I ordered a chicken sandwich and side order of mac and cheese #1. I had had one earliet that day in onother location so to make sure i showed the lady the receipt and said i want this exactly, and she said i had to go to where i had bought the previous order! What? I said. What do you mean..dont you have that here? She said yes but you have to buy it! I said mam that what i told you...that i wanted that same order and of course i know i have to pay. I felt insulted, i dont know what kind of people they're used to dealing with on day to day basis. the food was for my son so i got home and i gave it to him. When my son went to work his graveyard shift i went in to take out the trash from his room i i saw the popyes bag of food i had bought earlier it was instead of a side order of mac and cheese they gave me mashed potatoes. 😠 i realized cause i threw out the bag of Popeyes (the food was for my son) and i discovered the mashed potatoes that he didn't eat because HE DOESN'T LIKE MASHED POTATOES ..that's why I ordered mac and cheese. I didnt check and he didnt say anything i guess he didn't want to be ungratefull. How can they make mistakes even when i showed them what i wanted in writing. It says eat in and itvwas take out.

I ordered 4 foods with Uber eats, but they just gave the driver just 2 foods and i called them and they told me to go to their place to take it, it mean i should order Uber again to go to their place . If I'm not going to there it mean i don't get the rest of my foods. I told them to send it because it's not my mistake, they don't want to.

I have two kids I pick up from school. I picked one up first at 2:27. He was hungry so we drove to this Popeyes. We got there at 2:51 and placed our order. We didn’t receive our food until 3:20. I had already paid so couldn’t leave but I was late picking up my other son. All we ordered was a couple chicken sandwiches and a Freddy Fozbear box. At least 10 orders placed after us received their food first, some of them also ordered the Freddy box. I won’t be going back for sure.

Another restaurant that ran out of the most popular items on the menu before closing. It's 8 pm. They don't have Mac and cheese. They were going to send us home with our large order without mentioning there was no Mac and cheese. They also forgot another side Ave made us show him our bag. We hadn't even left yet. No good!

Just went today ask them twice if my order was ready n they said yes came home no mash potatoes!!!!!!!!! Also called 4 times and no answer!!!?

I found a worm in my chicken as I was cutting almost done with it. This is disgusting I have already filed a complaint to the LA health department for this issue. Definitely staying away!

I just came for lunch and had the absolute worst experience ever in the Popeyes. I believe Popeyes doesn’t care anymore about customers. The chicken breast was burnt and tasted dry. Just for complaining I was forced to wait 10 minutes for a spicy breast while every other order, including one for a beggar was handed out. I asked for my money back and received the base price and not the tax I spent. My money was short and the food was terrible and the service was poor.

I want to leave a 0 star but 1 is the lowest I got to this 24 hr location at 11:15 pm was told they were closed. I drove far to get here as this was the only 24 hr location. However the were open for online orders. So I hade to make an online order,but the special I wanted was not online so I had to pay more. Was told to wait out side in the cold. Even though I was the only person in the restaurant.

Worst Service i have ever had. I always try to give any establishment a great review. So this review is due to my Ubereats order. I wanted to add condiments to my order so i decided to call them in hopes they can add some condiments i enjoy. The phone rang for 2 minutes before they hung up. I tried a second time to reach them before i found out they unplugged their phone. I can forgive you for that but as my order arrived home. I was missing items in my order. But that wasn't the worst part 3 out of 8 pieces of chicken were cold in the middle. And one of those 3 pieces was rubbery in the middle i could tell it was Raw which i decided to add a picture at the bottom. (You Are Welcome). Since pictures can't capture heat but can catch how the piece of chicken looked in the middle. I been to this establishment so many times and i can tell you. They have Young Adults who are very irresponsible and give the i don't want to be at work face. I hope the staff see this comment and feels ashamed for the service they gave. Since i know i won't get refunded for this but want customers to know how this restaurant works.
