Best Burger I've had in a LONG time. I can't really say more, but it was juicy, the fried onions were flavorful and the sauce, it was perfect. They use tallow for their fries. If you have kids they can choose something here or in the cafeteria next door. I also thought the prices were not bad, especially for the portions. The salad looked amazing! I'd eat here again. We tried all the restaurants in Curry village and they were all pretty good, this burger was my fav. The pizza, which can feed an army, that was also amazing next door.
My husband wasn’t interested in the only vegan dish which is “Cabbage Under Fire” but it was scrumptious, he agreed! They do have a side of fries which is a huge mountain load of fries! Friendly staff, spicy sauce available, overall, a nice warm shelter during winter months that was consistently open during our February visit, where as other places that were supposed to be open according to Google in fact were not, and vise versa 🤪 Located in the same building where the Curry Village Dining Pavilion (where the deck - pizza takeout)
We wanted a hamburger 🍔 and were not disappointed. We had the Double Smash Burger with fries and it was amazing. We don't drink so we had a soda. Ate on the outside deck taking in the view of Half Dome and Glacier Point. Loved the great experience 👍
The fact that there is even a bar located inside Yosemite National Park is a win! Great and quick service, indoor and outdoor seating available and plenty of it! (Along with some of the nicest bathrooms inside the park, period.) Extremely refreshing to grab a cold beer and a nice warm meal after a day of hiking. We had the smash burger sliders and they totally hit the spot! Double patty, caramelized onions and melty cheese… YUM! The bacon potato salad on the side was the perfect compliment to the meal. Definitely recommend the stop if you’re in Curry Village!
SO TASTY. If I didn’t have to drive down into the Valley to eat here more often, I would. Sliders were perfect after a long hiking day- MEATY double patty. Corn was fresh and tasty, wings were the perfect crispiness. Compliments to the chefs!! Can’t wait to come back. A little pricey but understandable being it’s within a National Park, but honestly worth it.
Honestly had my expectations low for a bar in a version 2 of Disneyland but HOLY. The Nashville hot wings were one of the, if not best wings I have ever had. From the texture to spice level and how they fry them. They were incredible!! The Thai were okay tho
Cabbage under fire with a cocktail was bomb, the perfect way to end a backpacking trip. So much flavor and a nice amount of heat. Service was A+
Tenaya Tempura Shrimp with Chili Crisp, Ash Oil, Charred Cabbage, Furikake, Cucumber and Tempura Sauce. I'm sorry, this is the kind of food they serve at Campsites in Yosemite?? And here I was thinking I'd be snacking on hot dogs and granola bars all weekend. What a delicious meal to have in the middle of a national park! I was blown away by the complexity of textures and flavors in this dish for the affordable price of $15.50. Highly recommend checking out Bar 1899 if you're ever onsite! This is inside the 7 Tents Pavilion, so you may end up in cafeteria seating, but it has a few tables inside the bar itself too. Servers will bring you your food when it's ready and beer is served immediately.
I think this might be the only bar in Yosemite, but believe me when I tell you … you gotta check it out👀! Its super good and a break from the son is nice! These guys also serve a variety of food here! The drinks are strong and the music is popping! The comments is, be prepared to pay $ because it’s all pretty pricey! But worth it!

Surprisingly good food! I had the shrimp tempura with grilled cabbage and I'm going to try and recreate it at home. Waiter was friendly and service was good. The food was slow to come out of the kitchen, but that's what I expected given the location. Curry Village is the busiest area of the park from my experience.
After a long day of hiking, one of my favorite things is a good margarita and who would have thought I’d find a fantastic one right in Yosemite? 1899 Bar was such a pleasant surprise. The space is clean and modern, with a comfortable vibe that feels perfect after being out on the trails. The staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly, which just added to the experience. Definitely a gem in the park! 🍹🌲
Very good burger. Enjoyable to eat. May have another. Fries… yummy!!

One of the restaurants in Yosemite Curry Village. The restaurant is located next to the Pizza Deck. The staff is very friendly, professional and helpful. I was there on a weekday for dinner and the wait was not too bad. The smash burger and fries tasted good. The restaurant was clean and bright inside.
Bar 1899 in Yosemite Curry Village is a hidden gem for visitors looking to unwind after a day of exploring Yosemite National Park. The atmosphere is rustic yet cozy, blending perfectly with the national park setting. Relaxed Ambiance: The indoor/outdoor seating lets you enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding forest while you sip your drinks. Whether you’re winding down from a trek or just looking to soak in the Yosemite vibes, Bar 1899 is the perfect spot. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Curry Village!
Bar 1899 - Curry Village Yosemite National Park - May 2025 Great lunch in a wonderful setting......thanks Julian & Amanda
Long lines and limited menu may deter some, but met our needs without having to wait in the line for pizza! Kids enjoyed their Shirley Temples also -- only $2.50! Would recommend getting food here and eating in next room over OR out on the porch or benches outside...why be inside at Yosemite?!

Drinks are great but the food is another story. It takes forever and the food is frozen at best. The salads are overpriced, soggy, drenched and sad. Burgers are salty and they give so little fries. Youre better off ordering fries on the side. I guess when you’re hungry, you dont have many choices that aren’t “fast food”
The smash burger was disgusting. The meat is identical to Walmart frozen patties and there’s nothing smashed about it, they are just thin because that’s how they were formed on the assembly line at the factory. Don’t waste your money. The best part of the meal was the pickle.

I'm sorry, but that was terrible food. Almost $30 for chewy, rubbery, average tasted "bbq beef". I'm completely ignoring the "sides" issue. It was supposed to be carrots, cucumbers, etc., I got a few lousy slices of chili. Nothing more. Maybe you can eat it with appetite when you come back from a few hours of trekking and wash it down with a lot of local beer. I struggled terribly with this.
I was there with my husband and 2 kids (4 and 6 years) olds. We ordered shrimp tempura which was good. We also ordered kids smash burgers that came with fruit salad. The patty was very old and uncooked and the fruits were literally stale. The regular Coca Cola also tasted Wierd like metallic and sour. First we tried the coke and told the waitress about the coke and their response was: this is what we have and if you want a better coke go else where and that this is not a 5 star hotel. Later kids were complaining about the food and we tasted it realizing the food was very bad. We left the food uneaten and went to the manager, this time I was not very polite and asked them to taste the food. The manager refused to taste it saying “what do you want me to do about it”? Very reckless and rude customer service for that nasty food. My kids had diarrhea within 3 hours after they had the food. Shame on them!

I ordered the chicken salad. The chicken was frozen. Not just cold, but literally frozen. Went to complain and they said they couldn't do anything about it.
