This place was just the intimate, quiet nook that I look for in the city. The Caesar salad was delicious, and my margherita pizza was just the way I like a wood fired crust. Chewy. Toppings were fresh. The sangria was red. If I had one criticism, I'd like a fresh fruit slice in the sangria.
Amazing pizza and service! The atmosphere is so cozy. I loved the touches of home they added in, and the story on the menu about grandma's house. The high quality simplicity is beauty, feel of the food. The staff is like a well-oiled machine too. They had had in and out with the best care and attention!
My wife and I were short on time before a show. Staff seated us quickly in a nice spot. Had a pizza and a Caesar salad and they both were great. Really enjoyed this place. Will be back next time in town.
Hidden gem in Hell’s Kitchen! Such a quaint restaurant tucked away. Small tables, amazing food made with care. Pizza was to die for - crust was crisp and flavorful, toppings were fresh. We had the chicken hot honey special. The “bread” with olive oil Is not to be missed. The Caesar salad was enough for two with tons of cheese and a great dressing. We finished up with a cannoli made of half chocolate and half Oreo filling. Such a good meal. We will be back! Service was attentive and friendly. Thank you!
This is the perfect place to go in New York City if you’re looking for a quaint, charming family owned pizza place. Best pizza we have had in NYC! Wonderful wine & beer selection as well! The atmosphere is inviting and cozy and the service is excellent. We had the pleasure to meet Will who took great care of us! Everything about this place is 5+ stars you would be remiss if you didn’t stop here! Thank you!
Will and Alison were the best servers, they took care of our table and were extremely helpful, efficient and friendly. The food was AMAZING. I must say that I’m pretty hard to impress when it comes to pizza but this place was not only amazing with their savory pizza but also with their Nutella pizza (a must try). Ambience was great and my family and I had the best time.
Fantastic spot with really high-quality food. The pizza was superb — beautiful flavor and texture — even if the slice cuts were a bit unusual. The chicken parm was excellent too, and everything felt freshly made. The space itself is small but very comfortable with nice decor and an inviting atmosphere. Service was attentive without being pushy, which I really appreciated. Only minor note — the salad dressing wasn’t quite my taste — but overall, a great experience and I’d definitely come back.
Found on Seed Oil Scout and so glad we did. We loved the pizza and salad. Felt great afterwards. No blah feeling. We received excellent service (I’m forgetting her name but she’s a sweet gal from Dominican Republic). The atmosphere and music are lovely. Only maybe a dozen tables but we were able to get seated right away on a Saturday afternoon. Highly recommend.
It was amazing wood-fried pizza. Highly recommend. Different flavors too than the usual suspects; I had a delicious eggplant, basil, pepper, and tomato one. Our waiter was friendly and prompt even though he looked like the only one on the floor on a busy night. (This was the gentleman working Monday evening, October 13.) We were impressed by his professionalism and the entire experience.
Marinara on the pizza was fresh, tasted very clean and like real food, no weird chemical artificial tastes. Dough complemented the toppings well. Spinach arancini was ok- there was nothing wrong with it, just personally didn’t prefer the mildness of it so I should’ve just chosen a different menu. Waitress was attentive and quick to know what you needed without you trying to make eye contact for ages.
I was visiting New York and one of the few foods on my bucket list was good, Neapolitan pizza. This place did not disappoint! My favorite was the hot honey pepperoni - the roni was freshly sliced and thick. I also really enjoyed the prosciutto and arugula. Aside from the food, the service was great, and the vibe was perfect: polished, calm, warm, and comfy. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting authentic Neopolitan pizza in the Hell’s Kitchen area.
I did some research back home in Minnesota before coming, and Capizzi totally exceeded my expectations. Hands down the best pizza we’ve had everything tasted incredibly fresh, came out fast, and was super satisfying. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients. It made for a perfect date night with its cozy, dimly lit, lowkey vibe. I’m already planning to come back next time I’m in NYC. Highly recommend!
Fun place we found randomly one night and luckily they had an open table. Place has less than 10 tables. Service was friendly and efficient and we enjoyed our pizzas. We ordered the burrata appetizer and it was very good, but it was similar to our pizzas, so we probably wouldnt order again.
Had lunch here before a Broadway show and it was a great choice! The place feels like a little escape to Italy. Calm, cozy, and friendly staff. The pizza was light and flavorful, with toppings like mushrooms and onions that made each bite different. Very delicious! We ended up staying for dessert too. Tiramisu was perfectly sweet and bitter. Loved it! We will definitely be back to this hidden gem.
It's hard to say enough about a place that is so great. The pizza is fantastic, the atmosphere makes you feel like you're in a dining room in Italy. The service is attentive and helpful. First the pizza, made in a wood fired brick oven, they only make a 12-in, it's enough for one person. It's pretty rare you go someplace to get pizza and the ingredients they use for the toppings are top of the line.... But that is the case here. The pepperoni is hand cut, it curls up on the edges and has wonderful flavor. The mushrooms are portobello but not too big and cut just right so they are noticeable on the pizza but correct texture. The crust is thin but still has texture, it's a bit crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Seriously one of the best pies I've had in memory. This is not $1 on the corner of New York Pizza, this is wellcrafted, balanced and fresh pizza. You also won't believe how fast it comes out, it literally takes less than 3 minutes to cook the pizza and it gets to your table in a few minutes more. You probably think the same thing I do about tiramisu in the United States. I have a favorite, it's in Chicago and very traditional Italian. This is pretty close too. The mascarpone is a thick layer, the lady fingers have texture, and the coffee doesn't overwhelm yet is present. The whip cream is real and very lightly sweetened. They say they make it daily, from the flavor and the appearance, they definitely do. Don't miss adding this to your table. I also thoroughly enjoyed a nice chilled bottle of sparkling Aqua Panna, and Motetti beer. Definitely from Italy. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very comfortable I would say a bit Italian rustic, It doesn't try to be something it's not and is far from a modern blank slate. The service was casual yet proper and made me feel like I'm a regular although it was my first time eating ( but not my last!) With nothing short of thousands of dining options in Manhattan, this is a standout for sit down yet casual pizza. It would be a very worthwhile choice. Go support Joe and the family, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
One of the best pizzas I have had in the states. It looks so vibrant and fresh plus you have the best manager and staff. They have the old fashioned way of making the pizza which looks fascinating and tastes amazing. No post eating complaint and it hits your stomach well. There were vegetarian options and they can customise some of the items. Loved the ambiance and the service. We had a Margherita and one of their classics with peppers, mushrooms & onions. You pay for the experience so no complaints

The restaurant has a very romantic /cozy atmosphere. The service was efficient and quick. My pizza was a bit too salty but tasty. There were plenty of prosciutto for the topping. Two pizzas, a Diet Coke, and a beer plus service charge was $77.
Amazing service and atmosphere with kind and attentive staff. We tried two different pizzas and flatbread with olive oil. The flatbread was not a perfect pairing but I liked it. The pizza lacks a bit of char in my opinion to make it a perfect pizza, the toppings are high quality though. Totally recommended.

Excellent location in the middle of town. kind staff and a cozy environment. The cannoli is a lovely way to end the dinner, and the margherita pizza is wonderful and fresh. Strongly advised.

Had a 15min wait for a table but it was worth it. Quality wood oven pies here and very friendly service. Not the cheapest pizza in NYC but still feel it was worth the money.

Well, ok service but Pizzas are not good at all. It gets even worse when they serve it on metal/aluminum plates that are wobbly. This mean that the plate easily moves when you push the knife back forward to cut a slice of pizza. We have to chase the plate around the table. Avoid this place.
