Fast and accurate service. They got our order out pretty quickly considering the crunch time they were experiencing. I counted 18 cars in the drive through and 13 customers in the lobby with 2 cars waiting in online parking spots. Clean restaurant and facilities.
As efficient as McDonald's can get. We enjoyed the outdoor eating area that is gated and we were able to let the kids run free without the fear of the drive through traffic near by. If McDonald's is the place for you to leap off the freeway and get a quick bite to eat for the kids while on your travels, this location is nice. Plenty of parking around.

Twice now. Gone through drive thru, and gotten wrong sandwich. Can't go back . Paid for steak; got bacon. And have the nerve to repeat back order b4 giving to you.
similar to other mcdonalds. very fast service on drive thru, and accurate. kept the peace with a 5 year old happy with an early morning shake (and the adult an early coffee).
I see some comments in the past about it being dirty. THEY CHANGED! The Bathroom was so clean!!! Even when it was super busy. Food was quick and good. Probably new management or something because the staff was also in a great mood which made the experience very pleasant :)
Back in my day there was a lot of customer service concerned, caring and they satisfied the customer. In this case you have to go to a kiosk to order and then you wait for like 10 minutes before you get your order, I have to ask for napkins or whatever,.
Just took a bit longer than usual, but the receptionist was super nice and checked up on me and got my food.
Ok. Maybe I'm not a morning person but I definitely enjoy some food in the morning. I turned my 1 star review to 5 because I realized it was me annoyed with having to repeat myself. After eating the food and drinking my coffee it didn't taste as bad as j thought it would. Thanks for putting up with my uptightness.
In drop the homirs off at the pool before i started prospecting tonmakr sales for work...oh it almost was all or justba little bad yhe tp ran out and it wss abperfect ending...there was a cop handing out ticket like they were a goid cause or a free happy meal. On July 28, 2025, around 9 pm, this McDonalds was inundated by two busloads of Italian National Teenagers on tour. They proceeded to slam all staff with dozens of simultaneous individual orders. This created a huge logjam, and any ensuing order was delayed by an hour. The staff had to endure being crowded, chastised, and disrespected by these teenagers. The staff did the best they could to fulfill their orders, and every other customers orders, the best they could. Any normal person would have snapped under this kind of pressure, but this staff remained as calm as they could and remained professional despite the rude and aggressive treatment they received from these Italians. Although my order took about an hour to receive, I was not angry or upset with the staff. This was just the circumstances of the evening, and I was grateful to the staff for treating me with the best hospitality they could offer. I was glad to have born witness to such grace under fire and proud to have been served by these fast food heroes. 10/10. Thank you for your courage.
Give Ross a raise please!! She deserves to be in the corporate HQ! Went above and beyond, multi-tasking on a very busy evening, made my order perfect and was super pleasant. She’s the one to be very proud of, dear McDonald’s people! Dedicated and a true professional. Wonderful management and staff at this location. I’m amazed!
I have been coming to this McDonald’s location since I was 13 years old and moved to the area. The staff is always so friendly and I really love the new layout of the restaurant everything is really inviting this visit. I had a quarter pounder and it was absolutely amazing (See photo)!

Typical new McDonald's... Order be kiosk, no self serve soda, but a clean and fast facility for quick food. Process are rising but reasonable in light of the California $20\hr min wage.
There's no fountain to fill your own drinks. Why take that away when there's barely enough staff to run the store? Update, store and employees have gotten better, but still upset we can't fill our own drinks!

Normal yummy McDonald's food, but they forget items sometimes at this location so be sure to check your order before you leave. The good news is they have a friendly staff, but I can't give 5 stars because this has happened more than a few times. It's commonly a coffee or a side, but is a bummer to drive away without it.
It’s a Macdonalds. This one hasn’t let me down by messing up my order. My nuggets were a little over-done. Overall pretty good.
Manager Roberto was so helpful. I love the service. No cashier only kiosk though but then the card reader was broken, it would be helpful if they put sign on it. I was so frustrated after you put all the order your about to pay and card reader was not working. The location itself was clean.

Never had a bad meal at this site. However, bought apple juice for the 1st time after reading online that McDonald's has Minute Maid 100% no sugar added apple juice. I was instead given Honest Kids apple juice, which is horrible! Can't imagine how Honest can make a product so badly!
No one waiting on cash customers at counter = low man on the totem pole. Had to wait very long time. Drive thru very busy + App orders, delivery driver pick up, etc. Once I finally did get to order - 3 sundaes it came out very quick so that was good. The wooden stick spoons were weird to eat with.
Today, I ordered lunch, which consisted of 1 double cheese burger, 2 large fries and a hot fudge sundae. When I was paying, I was asked if I wanted the receipt. I said yes. Why do I have to be asked. It's a purchase. The receipt is a contract. Plus it's good to have when they mess up. I was stared down when he was giving it to me. Next window. I was given the sundae and told to go wait in spot #2. I'm not sure why, there was no one behind me. When I went to eat the sundae, it was all melty. Kinda like someone ordered one, canceled and put in the freezer. Very messy and disappointing. I'll be back because it's good but the new employees now a days don't really know what it's like to give real service. Sad. And what's really sad is management doesn't work harder to get their team to be better.
We decided to dine in and it was a different experience, there were no fountain drink machines and they want you to use the machines to place your order. They don't refill your food to the table they put it on a cart and call out your number but they do not tell you that so some people sit there waiting for their food. Getting a refill on your drinks is almost none existence they leave you standing there forever waiting for a refill. The french fries were not hot but my big mac was fresh and good. Ordered a pie and it was not hot. Overall it was alright would not dine in again okay for drive thru

It's hard to rate McDonald's food, as it is not something that significantly stands out, or is dynamic, however, it is a staple for many growing up, and a treat to have every once in a great while. The only issue I have with this location is that the drive-through customer service is always short with you, and they are not polite at all. I always make it a point to be extra kind and polite when I order from a drive-through, as I don't want anything extra added to my meal if I make them mad. The thing is, this location has never been polite. Even when I say thanks so much, or have a nice day, there is often no responsiveness to that, no smiles, and no one makes you feel as if you are welcomed. Again, I know this is fast food, and that I should keep my expectations low, however, dude.... The State of California just rallied up to bump your pay all the way up to $20 an hour. That jump in pay should equate to a little higher standard in customer service (at least in my mind, I would think as much)... It doesn't cost someone a lot to just smile, or even reply when someone wishes you a nice day, or maybe I can get a thank you, versus handing me my order and walking away without saying anything at all....
Came during my lunch was in and out in 20 min. Ordered a Carmel sundae with my food and when I pulled up they tried to hand me a fudge sundae. When I corrected them and told them it was suppose to be Carmel I was met with an eye roll hahaha. I Was asked to pull up to a waiting spot so there window time wouldn't be effected so I did then when they brought out the sundae it had the smallest amount of Carmel I've ever seen 😂👎 it didn't even encircle the top it was 1/4 of the way around. Get it together people I wasn't rushing or upset. Regardless of the effort the staff put in to ruin the meal I still enjoyed every bite including the sliver of Carmel on my sundae 😂😂👎👎
Not a fan of the digital order boards that customers are now obligated to order from. After 5 minutes of trying to order for ourselves, we gave up and walked to the front register and asked to have them take our order. How are we to know that a sausage biscuit can't be upgraded to a meal? Anyway out comes Velissa( I hope I got her name right?) what a ray of sunshine. So sweet and helpful. If it weren't for her, we would still be there trying to figure it out.
These people are getting $20 an hour? For what? Not smiling? Not listening? Not answering the phone? Or the maybe it’s the digital greeting DT the drive thru because the real people can’t possibly be that nice. Do not expect customer service here. Don’t ask for any custom order. Do that on the app. Because the people here, unless they’re a manager, will be dumbfounded.
It is an average McDonald's, that is getting by in California. They are not doing anything special to stand out or rise above. They are also not operating poorly either.
The Latte machine is often broken here. The car line is often ridiculously long. Employees at the inside front cash register are nearly non-existent. I've had to walk in the back to get anyone to notice me to place an order I've actually had to walk in the back area to get help at the front ordering food when you're not in the drive-thru. Part of the problem with this restaurant is McDonald's changed their service areas and they made it so their employees are not at the front and people are forced to use kiosks however the kiosks do not have all of the selections so people do have to talk to someone at the front and no one is at the front to take an order. As far as the layout and interior design of this particular store they really messed it up so it's really designed so that all the people in the lobby are pretty much on their own to try to order their own food. They really need a good manager here and they really need to have front staff inside at the register at all times
This is an odd experience for a McDonald's. Almost like a parallel universe for the mcrib. Was just a few people in the lobby but took 25 minutes for a nugget happy meal. Came out without nuggets or a toy. The mcrib threats in the lobby are a bit scary also. I really don't want a mcrib to be my "last bite".
The large fries is way no large at all. So you will get a medium size instead
The restroom was a disgusting. Floor was dirty. Toilet paper all wet around the toilet like it had overflowed and a customer just put it there to soak the mess up instead of notifying an employee.
Ordered 2 Sausage McMuffin with Egg. On 1, half the muffin was hard and chewy. Poor quality. Tried again. Wait time in the drive thru 3-5 minutes. Cashier wearing what looked like pajama bottoms. Food warm at best.
This is probably the grossest McDonald's I've been to in a while. The restaurant is littered with trash at every table. Trash cans over flowing. It smells like BO in the entire place. The person who brought our food was the opposite of friendly. Lastly, my happy meal was contaminated with some sauce? all over the wrapper of my burger and apples. I will never come here again. And these people will $25 an hour?

We went through the drive thru on our way to the beach ... the order was surprisingly correct. The food was perfect. The staff, however .... The young man who took our order was "deadpan" at best, but our order was correct, so he was competent. The young lady who took our payment was half step up from "meh." However, she was competent. The woman in the blue shirt who handed us an orange juice and asked us to pull forward, never made eye contact. And, the young lady who delivered our food was "meh" at best. No eye contact from a single person we encountered. Not a single smile. Not a single "thank you." Was everyone just having a really crappy day? What is going on with this location? Like other reviewers stated - the customer service was lousy. Prompt-ish, but personality-less. No one was "hateful" per se - but they all had pretty crappy attitudes. I realize this is McDonalds ... but, come on. I hate leaving bad reviews - I try to see the good in every place. But, I'm sorry. Y'all kinda deserve this one. The one saving grace was that the food was on par & our order was correct. Otherwise, not a pleasant experience. We won't be back - not even if we have to drive further away to get our infrequent Mickey D's fix.
The dining area was dirty as we cleaned our own table. Our order took almost 20 mins. There was no sense of urgency, and the person serving our food just had this bad attitude as if she didn't want to be bothered. After waiting that long for our food, though, they still got my drink order wrong, and my big mac wasn't how I ordered it. I won't be going back to this location. I am a firm believer that people should take pride in their work regardless of the job.
I have been coming here for years. Ever since the pay to employees reach $20.00 an hour or close. Service has been terrible. Usually use the drive thru and have been ask countless times to pull up And wait for the food. This is usually already waiting the line of cars. One time it took 20 more minutes ( I timed it) for two cheese sandwich. I saw cars with families and cars with only one person go around me with their food people that parked behind me. I am paying more than we used to and service is worse. I have gone to other McDonald’s and service is not perfect but a lot better than this store.

Maybe short-staffed? I don't know. Customers lined up at the kiosk with just one kiosk working. No one accepts order at the check stand. Went to drive thru instead, got my order and paid. One item not available that I paid for, was offered something else, attendant was fast the he didn't put the meals I ordered in the paper bag, just the fries and expected me to take off. Good I inspected it. Meal placed in another bag. Ordered iced coffee but placed in a soda cup. Come on!
Drive thru line was long which isn’t uncommon for the location. Ordered two ranch snack wraps, no cheese. Simple enough, right? Well there was cheese on both and no ranch so I had two really sad and dry wraps. I’ll give ‘em 2 stars with how fast they were, but that’s about it.

Complete and utter chaos. Avoid this location Our family arrived at 8:30 pm and the lobby was closed. All doors and exist locked. Signage on doors and online say they close at 11 pm The only option is to drive through. My kids were hungry so we waited. 45 min later we moved up maybe 3 cars and we're still nowhere near the ordering window as they are only using one!! Completely horrible service. Again avoid it at all costs! This was on a Wednesday night! Not even a weekend. Highly disappointed
They take forever to fill your order and they still get it wrong. Every table around us was missing something from their order.
Came to order food for my family. Dining room posted hours said until 10 pm. It's 915 and the doors are locked, people inside arguing to be served. If this is your restaurant, get involved, you're losing $ and gaining a horrible reputation.
Don't bother going inside! For breakfast the drive thru line was long, so I opted to go inside. Wrong move! There was 1 lady in line, and after waiting for about 5 mins I asked if she had been helped yet. Nope!! Waited another 5 mins until a woman came to take her order, but after that she didn't even bother taking mine. By this time the self order kiosks had people occupying them as they wintessed how slow the register was taking. I had to bother an employee who was mopping if anyone could help me. She got the same lady who didn't even acknowledge my existence. I gave my order, and she was getting a few items wrong. For reassurance I asked my order be repeated, and then she got all pissed and moody. They put so much emphasis on the drive thru that they should just shut down the inside. The food quality was normal.

This Mc Donald's was pretty packed. The food took a while to come out. The woman taking orders was doing her best. The kitchen needs more organization. Maybe they were shorthanded that morning. I was only there because I was going to Legoland.

Kiosk order system and lack of menu was very disappointing! What happened to the menu board? And there were lots of people working on the food (great), but nobody at the front desk. I had to pay with cash and nobody at the front register for ten minutes with a line of 6 people! I left without ordering.

If I could give this location 0 stars I totally would. The person at the drive thru messed up our order saying she fixed it after we asked multiple times if she added our extra iced coffee on only to go to the window to grab our food saying this situation would be fixed since she failed to add it on. No big deal until we waited an extra 10 minutes all for them to come out and ask why were parked outside. We were told this matter was our fault after a girl from expo came and tried to be matter of fact when she had no idea what she was talking about and cussed us out. Also we saw one of your employees smoking crack in the parking lot, my kids late to school. Worst experience hands down!

Stopped for a cup of coffee. The kiosk would not let me check out. Pushed the call button for assistance. No one came. Went to the counter and let them know. Was told someone would be right with me Again no one came. We walked out.
Here are all the reasons this location is horrible. 1. I ordered through the mobile app, it went through. Went to the store, they couldn’t find the order. Checked that app again, it was canceled. This is a cashier-less, kiosk-ordering location. The mobile app should work. 2. Ordered two filet-o-fish, got one. Went back inside to get the second one. 3. Ordered a plain hamburger (bun, meat, bun). Hamburger was received with the normal onions, ketchup, etc. Went back inside to get a new one. 4. One family was waiting 30 minutes for their food. They couldn’t find the order. 5. There was no Coke?! McDonald’s and Coke are the iconic pairing, how is it possible to be out of Coke. 6. Made a second order of medium fry and large drink, took 15 minutes. Nothing fast about this place. 7. This entire experience delayed me 1 hour. Unrelated to this location but still annoying about McDonald’s 1. Paper straws??? At least have the decency to color it the iconic red and yellow stripe 2. Medium fries come in a BAG now. 3. Chicken nuggets come in a BAG now. 4. Mobile app was annoying with trying to push all their different foods on me.
The drive thru took forever so I did a mobile order and its still taking forever! And the lobby is full of people waiting. First and last time at this location!
Way overpriced and under delivered, Won't be going to McDonald's anymore. Large fry $5.38 and is in a tiny bag. No one was in the drive thru yet I had to pull forward and wait in a parking spot for 3 ice cream cones, a Sundae and 2 large fries which cost $25. Cones were small, fries were cold and sundae was melted.
They close 15 mins early says on google they close at 11, all outside light turned off at 10:45 left ignored at the speaker. Don’t understand why everytime I come to this location they are closed early with lights off. Change your hours of operation or change your night staff who will keep the store opened as said
Subject: Ripped off with tiny portion I ordered a large fries. They gave me a little more than a small fries order. There were maybe a handful of fries, maximum. I never complain or do this at restaurants, but I went to a worker and asked if my order was correct. They said that this small fry packaging was the new packaging the franchise owner makes them use for large fries. They asked if I would like any sauces. I said yes. They said I would need to be charged extra. The redeeming factor is that the service was good. The employees really tried to explain and provide the best service that their owner would allow. Obviously, I won’t ever be coming back to this location.
I recently visited McDonald's in Carlsbad and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. I encountered two significant issues with my order that impacted my overall satisfaction. It is disheartening when such basic elements of an order are overlooked. I would like to highlight that the staff members I interacted with were polite and friendly, but the issues with the order marred the overall experience. I believe it is important for McDonald's to improve their quality control measures and ensure that orders are accurate and complete. I hope my feedback can contribute to the betterment of McDonald's service. I have been a loyal customer for years, and it is my sincere hope that steps are taken to prevent such instances from occurring in the future. Our experience was absolutely horrible! We are from out of state and came there to meet our daughter and her 6 kids who had walked there after being in a car accident. The kiosk was not working properly and so my husband waited in line 15 min to get help. Two members of the staff refused to help him saying, you have to do it on the kiosk. We then turned to leave and a young woman came from behind the counter and again refused to help. I asked if I could speak to the manager, she replied… I am one! I then responded I am going to report you and the poor service. She then said, “you go right ahead.” I hope someone will pass this on to the owner. It was a disgrace!
Came here before heading to airport. Did a mobile order for drive thru, they asked to pull over and ended up waiting just over 10mins. For 4 breakfast sandwiches with no modifications. Even the people behind us got their food faster. This is not a recommended stop for fast service.
They take forever to take out your order and give it away to the wrong people
I asked for a free cup of water with my meal upon picking up my food at the last window and was told I’d have to go around through the drive through to request that Keep in mind the cups and water dispenser were right next to her. She could have easily in less than a minute made me the free cup of ice water. So rude and unprofessional.
The asian/japanese worker was rude. never coming here again. Please have better customer service. I was asking for something and she’s like “what do you need” in the rudest attitude.
Order 5 meals. None came with sauces. I asked for sauces, and they said they needed to charge me (even though I did not get sauces with any of my meals). Also, everyone in there looked high as a kite. All three people that I seen, were standing around, staring at the floor. Unsure why there is such a lack of leadership here
I asked for a strawberry shake & this is what they give me & then tell me its strawberry. I tell them it looks more like vanilla & thats exactly what it was VANILLA. So I go inside & ask someone else to make .e a strawberry shake & he brings me out the same thing & tells me thats how it comes out! Sooooo instead of just telling you that they don't have strawberry flavor at the moment they just hand out whatever it is & call it what you ordered. After being handed the same thing 2 x I didn't want to take a chance of asking for something else for fear they would prob spit into or do something gross into the next drink. I will never go to this mc donalds just for how shifty they treat their customers & no standards to the food they serve you.
This has to be the slowest McDonald's. Ever I sit in line for almost 30 minutes. And literally, no cars were even in the parking lot, maybe three customers, maybe
This location is usually overly busy probably due to proximity to i5 . Also they typically have only one cashier who is multitasking and can barely keep up with online orders. Tables are always dirty. Basically understaffed. Ordered extra onions and instead got very little with some charred up specs of dirt.
This franchise owner needs a lesson on how to run a McDonalds. It’s sad considering how easy McDonalds makes it for the owners. How about grabbing some lemon wedges. You’re in California.
from owners to managers everyone is just rude , i don't know how this Mc donalds keep messing things up . but i guess if the owners dont treat their employees right what do we expect . also food is lacking flavor
It's Saturday night, and I'm at the Drive Thur thinking it will be a quick stop and pick up of food. Im been sitting here for almost an hour . One hour!! This is absolutely ridiculous!! If I knew this would happen, I would never have come to this location. Don't come to this location. You are just sitting here and waste your time. Even complaining about this will not help. Ridiculous!!
Im not happy with being scammed by you guys. Quarter pounders are supposed to be cooked fresh to order every time and I was given a burger that was very dry and definitely not fresh and had been sitting out in a warmer tray. This is ridiculous. Step it up! I know when they are fresh because they are juicy, hot and have grease dripping off them. Thats how its supposed to be! This burger had none of those qualities! Im paying $7+ for a burger I want it done right!
This McDonald’s gives size small instead of size medium for coffee drinks. The staff said it is just the size this store gives… which makes absolutely no sense!
Ordered from this McDonald's and they got nothing right. Didn't give us multiple menu items, staff was rushing us as we were trying to confirm they packed the order properly and we got our 3 drinks with 0 straws. Awful service
20 minute wait for 2 cheeseburgers and fries is ridiculous at 11am. Franchise owners like this are a blight on society. The place is poorly run, far below expectations, yet employs minimal people to do maximum work. Do better. After the long wait they asked us what we ordered. Please consider turning the franchise over to someone who will run it properly. I didn't even get a receipt printed out from the kioskto call and complain.
Very long line at drive through had up pull to space number one to bring out our order and never came after 20 minutes, I went inside. Clueless. Finally gave me my order. No apology or anything. Never ever such bad service at mcdonald's and the food was cold. I even asked, do you see what time I ordered? She says yeah, 630. It's seven now when I got my order.
It never fails when I come to this McDonald’s. I live close, which is the only reason I’ve been here multiple times, but today was my last. They always miss something in the order. In the past, my sausage and egg McMuffin came without the egg. Other times they forget syrup or spoons with pancakes, or leave out items like sausage when it’s part of the meal. You basically have to open every item and double-check your order before leaving the drive thru. Ordering is just as frustrating. You’ll say your order, they repeat it correctly, it shows up right on the screen, but when you get to the payment window, suddenly the order is wrong and you have to explain it all over again. It feels like they’re not actually listening. I don’t come to McDonald’s often, but when I do, I expect basic consistency. Unfortunately, this location consistently misses the mark. I wouldn’t recommend coming here, your time is probably better spent going to a different location or somewhere else entirely.
I've gone to maybe 10 different McDonald's in the last 3 months and this is the slowest one. There were six cars in line when we arrived to pick up an order. Someone else in the car wanted In-N-Out in nearby. In-N-Out was faster with 20 cars than McDonald's was with six. Horrible service, was not friendly either, and was licking her fingers when she finally came around the corner with our order
It's too bad. I stood there for half an hour. I thought they were too busy to prepare the food. Until I asked them how long it would take, they took the food out directly. It had already been prepared.The waiters there are very rude.
Was in the drive thru for 7 minutes, stand still, decided to head inside, another 7 minutes!!!! Slowest drive thru I've had the misfortune of going thru ever!!! There is no sense of urgency!!! Anywhere!!! Not even in the kitchen!!! I was kind of surprised as to how slow they worked, not exaggerating!!!
Our third time here. Absolutely awful service. You can't find anyone to help you at all and they are super rude when you finally do. The dining room is filthy and they keep everything behind the counter. Getting a receipt, napkins, or even a refill is impossible. One of the worst McDonald's out there. Don't waste your money.
Went through the drive-thru and ordered a diet coke and a water cup. I don't know what's wrong with their drink dispenser, but the water was like half carbonated and tasted like sewage, and the diet coke also tasted like actual sewage with weird little chunks that were not ice floating around in it. Gross.
