Recensioni di Al Biernat's Dallas
I hardly leave reviews, but I wanted to leave one because of my 10/10 experience. I went here for my birthday and had the absolute best time. I was talking about this place to everyone I knew for weeks after! I wrote in the description box when I did the reservation that it was my birthday, and everyone at the restaurant was greeting me throughout the night saying “Happy Birthday!” The service was great, and we did not have to wait for our table. I was 15 min late due to traffic and they still had our table waiting and were very patient. The food was amazing, probably one of the best meals I’ve ever had. From the watermelon martini, to the potato’s au gratin, to my halibut pasta (halibut was cooked perfectly), to the creme brûlée, everything was sensational. Almost forgot to mention that there was hardly any wait time for the food! I can’t wait to go again!
Al Biernat’s is a must-visit restaurant in Dallas! The moment you walk in, you’re enveloped in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The servers are exceptional—friendly, attentive, and always eager to help you choose the perfect meal. I kicked off my evening with a martini, which was a delightful start to the night. The food is simply outstanding! The filet mignon is superior, cooked to perfection and incredibly flavorful. The crab cake was excellent, and the Caesar salad was superb—crisp, fresh, and bursting with flavor. What really blew me away was the customer service. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure your experience is nothing short of amazing. They truly understand the meaning of hospitality, making you feel like a valued guest from start to finish. If you’re in Dallas and looking for an incredible dining experience, Al Biernat’s should be at the top of your list. Trust me, you won’t regret it!
My husband and I took our Pastor and Minester out for brunch and this was our first time here at this restaurant. This was one of the best experiences you can experience in Dallas. Great food great atmosphere, and the service was top-notch a must if you’re in the Dallas Fort Worth area try it out you won’t be disappointed.
I was taken to Al Biernat's for a Birthday Dinner and let me just say,"MY EXPERIENCE WAS FANTASTIC!" Our Server Jesus was Amazing that when we go back I will request his section. Their complimentary bread with butter was so good. I had their delicious Classic Ceasar Salad. For dinner I had their well prepared Calf Liver and onions along with Garlic red mashed potatoes. I also tried their cream spinach and mashed sweet potatoes ALL so good. My husband had their COWBOY RibEye Steak cooked to PERFECTION, and I also tried it, and it was SO GOOD! I also had their Red Wine for my first time as a wine drinker and it was so delicious. Jesus surprised me with a Complimentary New York cheese cake that was scrumptious and he sang Happy Birthday and that too made my experience a NIGHT TO REMEMBER!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH AL BIERNAT'S, I CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK!!!
Always an excellent experience! The only thing better than the service is the food. Even after Al's passing, they continue in his footsteps, providing excellent customer service. It's the perfect place to celebrate an anniversary.
BRUNCH is great way to try the restaurant when you can't get evening reservation. We visited for late brunch, had a window table and Victor the waiter. Service was very good, they checked on us often. Food was hot and delicious. We each had a salad prior to the entrée. It was plenty of food and we were both stuffed. No dessert and no wine calories. Parking is valet only but there are lots of nearby parking. We shopped in the strip mall across the street and walked over. The atmosphere is nice, they seem to have loyal clientele. I recommend. Victor even gave us a big to go box of the banana bread and croissants. Homemade and a treat.
Went to the north dallas location. Food was in line with a busy higher end steakhouse. Our server was great. The food was good but not great as to everyone’s standard is different and as for steak mine personally are high. Had the lamb chops which were cooked perfect medium rare+ and the bone in rib was split and was little over cooked as we ordered medium rare. Brussels were little too charred for my taste but were tasty and last the carpaccio was good standard nothing out of the ordinary. The best was the sweet mashed potatoes. I would give it another try next time in town.
Probably my favorite meal in Dallas! Great place to go for a special occasion or a date night. Everything we tried was amazing. We got a goat cheese salad and calamari for an appetizer. I had the Chilean Sea Bass and my husband had the filet mignon with roasted garlic topping. For sides we had au gratin potatoes and broccoli. We also got the carrot cake for dessert to-go which was divine. Highly recommend!!
We had booked a private room dining experience. Service was great with a nice atmosphere. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The blackened prawns and the beef wellington bites were delicious. The most notable entree was the lobster Thermidor and the spinalis steak. The potato au gratin and creamed corn were a standout of the sides. Lastly for dessert the coconut pie and the key lime were exceptional.
Celebrated a friend’s birthday. It was busy but we had a reservations and we got seated on time. Food experience was 10/10. The sea bass with the lobster Rosotto was to die for. A lot of sides options which is what I look for in steak houses. Desserts were super duper yummy as well. I would recommend 100%
This was the most amazing dining experience we've had in a long time. The staff was exceptionally friendly and made you feel so special and welcome, the food was beyond delicious, and I had the peanut butter chocolate banana creme pie for dessert that was to die for! We will be visiting again very soon.
This place is everything you would expect from a high-end steakhouse (AND MORE). Friendly, organized & professional staff. Great menu selection. I had the Oscar filet and it was perfect - one of the best I've ever had - veggies were HUGE and cooked right. Clam chowder was rich & hot. Crab cakes appetizer were very good - great stone ground mustard sauce. Busy venue but they move people and food around the right way. Extensive wine & spirits. Make a reservation. Put this one on your list if you're looking for an amazing dining experience in Dallas! Thoroughly enjoyed - great job!
Al Biernat’s Dallas TX, what can I say? This restaurant is beyond words. Food, hospitality management has left me speechless, James the manager, Marisol the waiter, Rafael the head chef and Paramo were extremely hospitable. Coming all the way from NY and having the best restaurants in NYC has proven that Al Biernat’s restaurant can compete with the best of them. Please I do understand that everyone’s palate is different but come, try and enjoy the best restaurant in Dallas you won’t be disappointed.
If there was more star rating for the service I would definitely give it to Mr Z , he and his team made it a great night for us. Place to go if you wanna feel at home and have a great meal. We tried Lamb Chop, Filet Mignon , roasted mushrooms and creamy spinach, everything was great.
My husband comes a lot for lunches. This was my first visit for a dinner date with the hubby. The service and food were fantastic, couldn't ask for better. I enjoyed the Crab corn chowder to start, Oso buco with mushroom risotto, and brussel sprouts. It was a bit noisier than I like on my dinner dates, and I was surprised to see TVs in an establishment like that, and they are proud of their wine prices.
Absolutely the best steak out experience we've had in Texas, maybe the world. We made reservations one day in advance for a weekday. The complementry valet was very fast and friendly. We were seated right away despite the packed bar and being slightly ahead of schedule. Our waiters were super friendly and had a great command of the impressive menu. We started with the beef Wellington bites and two of Al's signature cocktails, the watermelon basil martini and an Al's old fashioned. My partner ordered the seafood salad, and it came absolutely jammed full of fresh crab and shrimp a ton of freshly sliced avacodo and the Russian dressing was simply perfect. I ordered the Gold Standard and was informed they were offering an elevated gold standard that night so I opted for that. It was a 8oz waygu strip with a 6oz lobster tail covered in black truffle shavings with a side of green beans and red quartered potatoes!! The steak was pull apart tender and cooked EXACTLY as ordered the truffle shavings took the lobster tail into an explosion of deep decedent umani flavours mixed with the rich and very fresh lobster. This was our first time at Al's and as such we became F.O.A. (friends of Al's) and had a desert on him, free of charge! We opted for the coconut cream pie and it was so light and delectable we ate every crumb of that superb desert. Their reputation is well-earned and we hope to be back one day.
I had a long day at work and decided to treat myself to a nice dinner with a girlfriend and this was the perfect place! We were lucky to snag a reservation at the last minute and everything worked out perfectly. We were originally sitting inside, but decided to sit on the patio and it was great! They have heaters and it’s a lot quieter, inside you have to yell it’s so loud. Our server Shawn was absolutely fantastic! He made good recommendations, he anticipated our needs so we really didn’t have to ask for anything. The Escargot and Tortellini was was full of flavor, the Crab Cakes were a great addition to start with. We tried the managers special which was Red Snapper with ravioli. And we chose one classic - the Chilean Sea Bass. The sea bass was for sure the favorite and the lobster risotto is to die for! I will order a side of that next time because I couldn’t get enough of it. The sides were decent but nothing to rave about. The mashed potatoes were pretty bland and the lobster macaroni cheese was underwhelming in my personal opinion. For dessert we had the Grand Mariner Crème Brûlée, and the Bourbon Spiked Chocolate Bread Pudding. The bread pudding was my personal fave. Overall, left full and happy. ☺️ I can’t wait to come back and try their brunch! Update 1/2/2022: I finally tried their brunch and it’s amazing! They bring complimentary assorted cakes and breads to start with, my personal fave was the coffee cake. For starters we had the crab cake and calamari, both were a hit! For my entree I went with the Crawfish Etouffee Benedict and y’all, omg!! It was FANTASTIC!! 😍🤤 I was so impressed the whole plate was delicious from the crawfish to the poached egg and the very well seasoned roasted potatoes. Even the strawberries on the plate were sweet. Our kind server was nice enough to even bring me a cheesecake to celebrate my birthday, which was tasty and didn’t last long. Lol It’s another exceptional experience at Al Biernat’s. ☺️
The food was so good!!! We got the American wagyu strip, tartare and carpaccio. Everything was amazing! We also had the signature potatoes on the side which were sooo good. The service was great. It’s everything you’d expect at a fine dining place. Prices are high but it’s a nice date night experience once in a while. They have complimentary valet which adds to the fanciness.
We visited Al Biernat's to celebrate my stepdaughter's engagement. Our waitress Leslie made it a very special evening. She provided great service, happily took our photo with a Google Pixel phone, and made us feel like we were old friends throughout the night. We will be back soon and hope Leslie waits on us!
I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant for the food and ambiance but most importantly the service!!! I cannot say enough about how delicious everything was. Ty took great care of us and had wonderful recommendation too! It was my first time here and we were having a business meeting. The table near us had a medical emergency, I was so impressed with how the entire staff responded. They acted quickly to care for that table but also all the tables around them. They immediately re sat the tables around and provided privacy for medical personnel to care for the person. Thankfully everything was alright. I am Truly impressed! This shows the level of service and detail of the whole team. I will absolutely be back and will recommend again.
It was a great experience! Love visiting this particular location. Had a hiccup with my dessert. But understanding that things happen beyond our control. The manager and the kind lady who waited on me and my wife--took care of us as swiftly as possible along with her manager. Needless to say, all was well and we will return!
What a cool place to eat! If your in Dallas and have the time and money, it's definitely worth going! A one of a kind experience and the food is outstanding! The portions are shareable and the aged cowboy Ribeye was most excellent! Highly recommend making reservations and Uber there and back. Parking is limited and they do have valet if you don't like Uber or Lyft
Al Biernat is one of the best steakhouses in Dallas and you will surely meet an important figure when going there. Highly recommend the breaded prawns and crab cakes to start with and make sure to end with the coconut cake. The steaks are solid, not the best you will get in the country, but when paired with the trio of sauces, really great. Expect excellent service and ambience as well.
The food was amazing! We went here for a friend’s birthday dinner. The service was great and they also have valet which accept tips. I recommend this place for brunch because the menu is affordable. I had the chicken and waffles and subbed it for a pancake. The chicken was flavorful and was not dry. It was the perfect portion. You could honestly split the meal in half and eat the rest for later. I can’t wait to go back. We had a blast. Also, the place wasn’t packed, so it was perfect to catch up with friends.
I had a delightful early dinner with my niece at this restaurant. The service was exceptional! I ordered the 10oz steak, which came with potatoes and green beans, costing a little over $60. My niece opted for the salmon salad. We also shared calamari and lobster risotto as side dishes. The steak was superb. Initially, I thought it was overcooked due to its exterior color, even though I ordered it medium. However, the exterior was just their seasoning with a slight crisp, and it was perfectly medium and delicious. The lobster risotto portion was generous, enough for two, and equally delightful. My niece thoroughly enjoyed her salmon and the calamari. Though it was pricey, it was a special occasion. Conveniently, valet parking is available for free at the back of the restaurant.
Absolutely lovely experience! The bartender was super friendly and attentive. Definitely need reservations as this is a "be seen in" kind of, up scale restaurant that books out several weeks. They do have a dress code, but ties and jackets are not required. Very small venue, but they use every square inch to seat as many people as possible. High ceilings and no baffling make it noisy and difficult to hear, but the decor is well done and tasteful. Let me tell you, this place runs like a well-oiled machine!! We ordered our meal (escargot, steaks, potato, green beans), and it was to our table in minutes, prepared exactly as we ordered it, and cooked to perfection. Our server was fabulous.. kept our drinks full and checked in appropriately on our experience. Outdoor seating available, and the heaters were on, though we sat inside. They even accommodate large groups.. there was a party of 20 sitting near us during peak dinner time. Extensive wine list. We were stuffed, but ordered dessert (key lime pie with housemade orange sorbet), and it was devine. Perfect date night, business meeting, place to celebrate special days venue. Plan for $100 per person, but you won't regret it!
We really enjoyed our dinner at Al Biernat’s. We sat in the bar area at a booth. The service was attentive and prompt. Overall, the food was delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly. However, the food was tasty but not hot. I prefer very hot food. The vegan bowl was ok. The vibe was energetic. The bar area is great for people watching. Great choice for dinner.
I love Al Biernat’s. It’s one of the most consistent high end dining experiences you can have in Dallas. Food quality is always fantastic, I wish they had some more unique/creative dishes but they don’t need to when it’s always so good. Prices are reasonable. I absolutely love their whipped sweet potatoes. Need way bigger servings of it. This is one of those places you take someone from out of town to. Some of the best lobster I’ve had in the area. This could ramble on but yeah, go here if you haven’t already. Service is great.
My honey brought me here for Valentine’s Day and the staff went above and beyond to make our date special. The atmosphere is already amazing on its own, but From the flowers on the table, to a customized specialty mocktail, amazing vegan dishes and delicious desserts, the experience was nothing short of amazing. Landon, Chris and our server Napoleon were absolutely exceptional! I am definitely referring my group here for future outings and I cannot wait to come back for brunch!
My husband and I love Al Biernat’s! This is our third there and we have had a wonderful experience every time! The food is amazing, atmosphere is fantastic, and the service is exceptional. Even the bussers, hosts, hostesses, and valet are all so friendly. We had Adrian as our server this time. He was very attentive, kind, and efficient. If you are looking for great steak, seafood, and more this establishment is a winner! We will be back! I recommend the chopped salad, Chilean Sea bass, lobster risotto, au gratin potatoes, filet mignon with toppings, carrot cake and more. We’ve enjoyed everything we’ve tried here.
Welp… we didn’t think it would live up to the hype — but it absolutely did. After a super disappointing visit to Bob’s downtown (our usual go-to), we decided to try Al Biernat’s instead. The service was outstanding. Ty was the best waiter we’ve ever had — I barely had to make eye contact and he was right there. There was also a manager with three kids who’s worth his weight in gold. The food came shockingly fast and was absolutely delicious. It was a rare childcare night for our 3 under 3, and we’re so glad we spent it there. We’ll definitely be back!
Lobster thermador, sea bass with risotto, red snapper with ravioli, oyster Rockefeller, pear salad all amazing. Excellent wines by the glass as well as some of the best bottle choices around. This is always a place of gathering in my family and we have always been made to feel like part of their family. Kindness and curiosity exude from ever conversation with the staff. Al's is my favorite restaurant in all of Dallas.
My husband and I are on our third year of celebrating a Valentine's lunch on February 13, a day early, at Al Biernat's. On this occasion we had a very kind waiter and a delicious lunch with a very yummy dessert! We hope to keep up with this new tradition! The resteraunt Employees are very welcoming.
Al biernat really lives up to its fame. The quality of the food here is exceptional, along with the flavor of their food. Cleanliness and service something not to be overlooked as well. The owner, the bartender, the servers, the waiter, the front house, everyone was welcoming and greeted us with smiles. Our waiter went above and beyond by helping us with which food is popular, what were the specials, how everything is prepared, etc etc. He even gave us his personal opinions on what the must haves are and their private barrel whiskey. Al biernat has definitely proven why its one of the best if not the best restaurant in dallas.
Al Biernat’s never disappoints. This is our 5th Valentine’s here and it’s been an amazing experience every time. The sea bass and coconut pie are top tier. Shoutout to Napaleom for the excellent service, professionalism, and knowledge. Always a great night.
We had a wonderful dining experience. The ambiance was vibrant, the food was excellent, and it arrived promptly. Despite the busy crowd, the service was exceptional. Even with our 9 p.m. reservation, both the quality of the meal and the attentiveness of the staff remained outstanding. We had the Texas Grapefruitni and the Peach Please cocktails. For dinner we feasted on calamari, blackened prawns, the pork chops, cream spinach, and macaroni and cheese.
Beautiful restaurant, friendly staff, and extensive menu to select from! The restaurant was a bit loud, but did not impact our experience. Drinks are incredible! Alek was our server, he was very friendly and attentive. I really enjoyed my birthday dinner!!
Al Biernat’s Oak Lawn never disappoints! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is classic, elegant, and welcoming. The service is consistently top-notch — attentive without being intrusive — and the team truly makes you feel taken care of. The food is outstanding, from perfectly cooked steaks to fresh seafood and beautifully presented sides. Every dish feels thoughtful, well-seasoned, and high quality. It’s a place that’s ideal for celebrations, business dinners, or just a great night out. If you’re looking for a Dallas staple that delivers exceptional dining, Al Biernat’s Oak Lawn is absolutely worth it. Highly recommend!
Perfect place to celebrate our wedding. The manager went out of his way at the last minute to create a special menu for us and also how’s our wedding cake for a few hours before dinner began. The service was impeccable. The food was outstanding and all of our guests commented on what a wonderful time we had. My first time here and will certainly not be my last.
Had dinner at Al Biernat’s last night and I’m still thinking about it. Started strong with Al’s Bluechip Martini, which set the tone immediately (aka: dangerous in the best way, so dangerous in fact that I needed two). For appetizers, we ordered the classic seafood platter with the tempura tiger prawn, fried calamari, and crab cake, plus the Wagyu carpaccio. The crab cakes were the undisputed star of the night—hands down my favorite thing I ate. Perfectly seasoned, tender, and paired with all the sauces. I would order these again without hesitation and possibly fight my dining companion (boyfriend) for the last bite. The calamari was good but nothing groundbreaking—solid, crispy, no complaints, just not stealing the spotlight. The Wagyu carpaccio was silky and rich, with pine nuts, parmesan, olive oil, and sesame lavosh adding great texture and flavor—light but indulgent at the same time. For mains, we had the sea scallops and the chicken parmesan. The scallops were perfectly cooked and delicious, and the coconut rice was unlike anything I’ve had before—in a very good way. Slightly sweet, unexpected, and it worked beautifully with the roasted cauliflower and lime vinaigrette. The chicken parm was super interesting (in a “wait, is that sauce inside the breading?” way). It almost tasted like the sauce was baked into the crust, which made it extra flavorful and honestly kind of genius. Sides were the Brussels sprouts and signature potatoes. The Brussels had great flavor thanks to the bacon and sriracha maple soy glaze, but I would’ve loved them even more if they were crispier. The signature potatoes with gruyère, cheddar, and bacon were exactly what you want them to be (rich, cheesy, and impossible to stop eating). Portion sizes were generous, the value felt totally worth it, and the service was excellent. Our waiter joked around with me and my boyfriend all night, which made the experience even better…top-tier food and personality? We love to see it. Overall: delicious food, great vibes, and a meal I’m still thinking about today. Will absolutely be back (mostly for those crab cakes).
Steakhouse Review #4: Al Biernat’s. Made reservations on a Friday night for 7:30pm. Got a ride because parking is a challenge here (valet only) and it just seemed easier. The host desk is around the bar and this created a lot of congestion with limited space to wait. There were literally tables in the front that had crowds of people standing at their tables while they ate. We waited about 40 minutes for a table and were ready to get our grub on when the time came. The decor inside was fine, with the place seeming accessible and appealing to all. Nothing really special but it was…fine. On our way to our table, we were stopped twice with two apologies by staff for the wait. Nice touch. We were seated in the back which we appreciated as the noise was minimized. Our waiter, Nick, was great. We ordered a filet, mac & cheese, brussel sprouts, creamed corn, mashed potatoes, and green beans. We also had a chocolate martini and watermelon/basil martini and both did their job but maybe weren’t worth it. The complimentary bread basket was good with the rye bread being a big standout. This was the best overall meal we’ve had thus far. The filet was cooked perfectly, tender, and so good, the creamed corn (yaassss for the crunchy AND the creamy) was my fave, the mashers good, and brussels were tangy. All were divine. The mac & cheese was okay though not cheesy or special enough, and just go ahead and skip the green beans. Nick brought us out all the steak sauces because he’s sweet like that and we truly enjoyed them all. My fave was the black peppercorn. We ordered the coconut cream pie for dessert, which Al’s is famous for, and it was amazing…not too sweet and didn’t have that fake coconut taste (which we enjoy on occasion). It’s our fave dessert and this is one of the best we’ve ever had. Get it! Overall, this was a solid meal and we would definitely return. The meal was $150 and we tipped $70 for a total of $220. Food: 9/10 Ambience: 8/10 Service: 9.5/10 Next up is Dakota’s and, yes, we are still loving these excursions. Rank: 1. Al Biernat’s 2. Nick & Sam’s 3. Pappas Bros 4. Town Hearth
The Vibe: Dallas Dining, Defined 💅✨ First time in Dallas and my auntie officially wins the 'Best Taste' award for booking Al Biernat’s. The second you walk in, the energy is just correct. It’s giving classic Dallas luxury with a 'cool as hell' edge—and if you’re a Cowboys fan, the decor is basically your Roman Empire. We kicked things off with cocktails and the escargot (chef’s kiss!), but the real MVP was our server, Chris. He’s basically a wine whisperer—he paired my dinner with a Sauvignon Blanc so crisp it changed my credit score. For the main event, I had the Chilean Sea Bass with Lobster Risotto. I’m not exaggerating when I say it was absolute melt-in-your-mouth perfection. I’ve been to a lot of spots, but this is easily sitting in my Top Tier now. If you’re looking for a 'main character' dinner in the Big D, this is it. 10/10, no notes. 🥂✈️
Had a wonderful evening here! The food was great! Our waiter was very friendly and attentive as well as the rest of the staff!
My husband came out for a date night/celebration meal and were so happy we chose Al Biernat's, although it was a bit louder than I was expecting. We had never dined at an upscale restaurant and it was lovely, the service was incredible, and the food amazing! He ordered the Dry Aged Ribeye and 6oz Lobster Tail with Brussel Sprouts and the Specialty (?) Potatoes, I ordered the American Wagyu New York Strip and Lobster Mac n Cheese. I did end up liking my husband's steak a bit more than my own, I was just expecting something a bit more buttery and melt in my mouth for Wagyu, but still a very good steak. I'm not a huge Mac n cheese person, but the Lobster Mac n Cheese was perfection, I am a huge fan of this Mac n cheese. The best part was our server, Antonio- he is the sweetest gentleman and has impeccable attention to detail! He remembered I had put in a special request for our reservation and even that I had booked it as a Celebration and inquired about what we were celebrating. We will definitely be back and try requesting Antonio as our server again 🧡.
Fantastic service and delicious food, housed in a beautiful, impeccably decorated restaurant. Our server, AB, curated an amazing dining experience and his recommendation’s were spot on. The Sous Chef Rafael was gracious enough to stop by our table and speak with my guest and I and thank us for coming. That small gesture took an already fantastic experience and elevated it through the roof. Al Biernat’s, a Dallas staple and a must try dining experience. 10/10
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Al Biernat’s Steakhouse on Oak Lawn in Dallas, and it was nothing short of spectacular – easily deserving of five stars! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance struck the perfect balance between upscale elegance and warm Texas hospitality. The dimly lit dining room, with its rich wood accents and cozy booths, made for an intimate yet lively atmosphere that’s ideal for a special night out. We started with the crab cakes, which were impeccably fresh and bursting with lump crab meat, paired beautifully with a tangy remoulade. For the main course, I went with the bone-in ribeye, cooked to a perfect medium-rare – juicy, flavorful, and seasoned just right. My companion raved about the filet mignon, noting how tender and melt-in-your-mouth it was. Sides like the creamed spinach and truffle mac & cheese elevated the meal to another level; they were creamy, indulgent, and portioned generously. And don’t skip dessert – the chocolate pecan pie was decadent and the perfect sweet finish. Service was top-notch; our server was attentive without being intrusive, offering spot-on wine recommendations from their extensive list. It’s no wonder celebrities flock here – Tom Brady ate here recently in a private room with Erin Andrews and his Fox friends. If it’s good enough for the GOAT, it’s definitely good enough for me! Overall, Al Biernat’s delivers on every front: outstanding food, impeccable service, and a vibe that’s unforgettable. Can’t wait to return!
What an absolutely wonderful time. Forrest, our server was just class and the entire crew were amazing. Crab & corn chowder and seasonal Seafood chowder, both very delicious. My Lobster Thermidor was last meal level. Divine. Scallops, just perfect and succulent. Bourbon chocolate bread pudding, the perfect ending. So yummy. What a great night! Great service, loved my evening 🐝
What an amazing experience. Everything detail mattered and it showed. We had a large group and everyone enjoyed the evening. Personally, I can recommend the calamari, filet, and coconut cream pie. Make a point to put this on the list of places worth experiencing!
I wish I could give more stars than I did! We had a fantastic dinner at Albona’s in Dallas off Oak Lawn with a group of friends—there were seven of us, and everything from start to finish was excellent. The service was outstanding: attentive, friendly, and perfectly paced, especially for a larger group. The shareable sides were plentiful and absolutely delicious, making it easy for everyone at the table to try a little bit of everything. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the appetizers were on point, and the drinks were fabulous—crafted well and a perfect complement to the meal. The atmosphere, food, and exceptional service made for a wonderful evening. We truly enjoyed every part of the experience and will definitely be back. Highly recommend Albona’s for a great night out with friends!
There is no better steak and seafood establishment in Dallas! The ambience is without a doubt first class! It’s obvious how great and popular this place is because we went on a Monday and it was packed. Sadly, Al is no longer with us to greet you at your table, but the service and attention to details is impeccable! The steaks are perfectly charged on the outside and a nice pink on the inside for MR+. Besides the Filet, other great dishes are the Chilean Seabass, the large Cowboy Cut Ribeye, and the Thermidor style lobster. The sides are all delicious and generous portions. You can’t go wrong with any of the desserts, including the apple cobbler with vanilla gelato, Key Lime pie with sorbet, Peanut utter Chocolate Banana Cream pie, and of course Crème Brûlée!
My friends and I decided to celebrate our friend’s birthday party and we had an amazing time! We had a party of 6 and we all enjoyed our food! I had the medium rare filet mignon, pepper crusted with a side of their signature potato and a grey goose dirty martini and they absolutely nailed it! The service was exceptional and so was the food! The steak tartare could’ve used some more seasoning? It was a little bland but still very fresh, we also enjoyed the oysters. Overall we were happy with our experience from the back of the house to the front, thankful for everyone that runs this restaurant :)
The customer service was excellent as was the food. The complementary bread basket was an assortment of break and other baked goods which were all delicious. I had the Power Bowl with the grilled salmon which I would recommend. It came with an assortment of fruits, sweet potatoes and avocado. Definitely a high powered meal that will leave you full without feeling bloated.
Fantastic restaurant with amazing food and outstanding service! We ordered the snapper, salmon, filet, chicken piccata, and New York strip — every dish was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. We celebrated two birthdays and were surprised with complimentary desserts topped with candles. A wonderful experience all around!
Love, love, LOVE this place. Great cocktails and food. Wonderful staff. Eat there and order out several times a month. For the first time, ordered a slice of carrot cake. $21. Oh well, figured it would be a tasty treat for a few folks to take a bite of after a great dinner. Forget it. Look at the size of this slice. If I were slicing a birthday cake at home and my wife wanted a skinny slice, this is what I’d slice for her. I don’t mind paying $130 for a steak, but $21 for a thin slice of carrot cake is too much for me!! Still love the restaurant!!!
Great service. We went there for restaurant week. The fried calamari was amazing. The crab and corn chowder was a bit too thick for my liking. The pork was good. The short rib was delicious. Both the key like pie and the coconut cream pie were delicious too. The bread did come out cold which isn’t a big deal but they can improve on that. They have complementary valet.
The service from the host stand to the table was incredible. The food came out fast and was delicious. The butter for the bread was so good. I loved the upbeat Dallas crowd too. Definitely worth the experience and price tag! Be sure to put in “al Biernat valet” for your google maps or else you’ll end up in the backyard and walk around to the front through the alleyway!
Absolutely gorgeous experience and food. Started with a last word cocktail - perfectly made. Then ordered the spinalis steak frites - oh my goodness - this was one of the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly crisp fries, a sauce to bathe in, and perfectly cooked steak. Service was impeccable. If you’re looking for an elevated dinning experience and killer steaks this is the spot.
Al Biernat’s is one of my absolute favorite spots in Dallas—especially for a filet! This visit was extra special as I was celebrating leaving my job and wanted to share one last meal with my team. The staff, though surprised by my cheerful mood, were incredibly kind and welcoming. I’m so grateful to them for helping make our final time together as a team both memorable and delicious. Whether it’s lunch or dinner, everything on the menu is succulent and satisfying—you’re guaranteed to leave with a smile. Thank you, Al Biernat’s!
This restaurant served amazing food during our friend’s birthday dinner. The service was great, and they offered valet parking. The brunch menu is affordable, and the chicken and waffles were delicious. I subbed the waffle for a pancake, and the chicken was flavorful and moist. The portion was perfect, and I can't wait to go back. The atmosphere was perfect for catching up with friends, and it wasn't too crowded.

Great food and drinks. good social place. very accommodating .Jessie the bartender is the best and gives top notch service. He is part of the reason we love Al Biernat's.
Delicious steak and seafood. The tuna "poke" is really tartare and is an outstanding starter. The best service. Always excellent food and service here.
We go with a group of guys when we are in town twice a year. Never and issue. Great service. Outstanding steaks. Big wine list.
Food was good. Service was exceptional. Server was knowledgeable about menu and various options. They had a very nice porch area but due to temps we opted to eat inside.
We had dinner here from a recommendation. We had red snapper and sea bass with lobster risotto and escargot which were all very good in taste but feel the dishes all had a very similar cream sauce so by the end of the meal we were both tired of the taste and felt it was too heavy for dinner. Great atmosphere and service was great.
Overall pretty good experience. Atmosphere is nice, and there is valet available. Our service today was just okay. Seemed like our waiter wasn't happy getting seated with 2 people on his 4 top table. Felt like he was rushing us through. Aside from that no other issues with service. Food was great, had the lamb chops, was not a fan of the risotto with it, was a bit sweet for my taste but the chops were seasoned well.
Everything was wonderful for my friend's birthday! One complaint I have is that one person at our table ordered Prime rib. She received the butt of the prime rib. It was at least 2 inches thick. Prime rib should NOT be sliced any thicker than 1 inch thick, preferably 1/2 - 3/4 inch. Had this been correct, they would have received 5 stars.
They officially opened at 4:30 p.m. but the bar is open early to sit inside. Customer Service was 5 star from the time we walked in until the time we left. It reminds you of a steakhouse in New York. The servers are extremely knowledgeable of wine and food pairings. If you are a wine novice, this is the place for you. We had the sample appetizer (tempura shrimp, crab cake, and calamari). The calamari was cooked perfectly (for me, that is not chewy). The crab cake was delicious along with the sauce. The tempura shrimp was beautifully fried and large. This really could have been our meal. We had the New York Strip Steak, Scallops, Salmon, and the grilled porkchop- everything was seasoned to perfection. The lobster risotto must be tried. So you ask why 4 stars for food instead of 5 - two things - the whipped sweet potatoes tasted like baby food, so imagine eat the gerber baby food sweet potatoes and they had no sweet tea- this is Texas Sweet Tea is a must
We celebrated my birthday here. Very nice ambience and great service. The waiter made me feel special. The OssoBucu was so tender. The flavors were rich and the risotto was very creamy. The prime rib I ordered was medium well which I regretted because it was more on the well side so it is a little gamy. They surprised me with a rich chocolate cake with a candle for my birthday. Overall it was a great dining experience.
We went for a friends birthday. Our party was the loudest, drunkest and had the most eccentric outfits because we are degenerates. This place is for intimate dining and great for dates. Their staff is amazing and very professional; fantastic hospitality. Since we had a large party I’ve attached several images of sides and entrees. I myself had the 12oz filet and a Caesar’s salad. I’ve had both Caesar’s salad and filet better before so they don’t get all 5 stars. I’d give them a 4.5 but that isn’t allowed in Google. Everything tastes just like it looks.
First time here! Celebrating birthdays for brunch. Appreciated the valet Parking for sure. The only reason I rated this place a 4 is due to the website stating business casual but their were patrons in workout attire & baseball hats sitting in the restaurant. I felt so over dressed seeing this. We were greeted & seated quickly.. Our server was not very attentive so our service was just ok. The wedge salad was great! The chicken & waffle was good..Syrup was a little sweet and over powers a little. The drinks were good. It was an "ok" first experience. I would like to try their steak in the future.
This is a classic for Dallas and we had to give a try. The place is fancy, white table cloth and spacious. Some areas of the restaurant look a bit dated but overall it has a nice look. We went there on a Sunday just after brunch was ending so there was not much of a vibe but it’s easy to tell that the place gets packed and that it can generate a fun ambience. Service was really good. We were served by Miguel who gave us great food and wine recommendations. He was ever present during our meal and helped us with every question. Food was really good. Flavors where definitely there, I would order everything we had again. My only two complaints are that the tomahawk that we had was brought to us more on the medium-well rather than the medium temp. and that the Kansas wagyu was served relatively cold. Other than that everything was outstanding. The place is for sure not cheap, expect a pretty tab if you want to enjoy their food and wine menus. In my opinion, value proposition is almost there but not quite.
Came here awhile back for date night. The food was flawlessly executed, we enjoyed our steak and there was a lot of leftovers to take home. I liked that they served calves liver as well, which you don’t often find in high end steakhouses. Our server recommended the seafood gumbo to us which was clutch! One star less because we had to sit in the back area which wasn’t as nice and took away from the steakhouse experience
A very busy restaurant, but in fact, I think the food is just so-so. The plate is not very good-looking, sloppy and rough. For example, the cheesecake in picture 4 ‘really doesn‘t look pretty at all. Maybe the plate could be changed to white or textured black and it will be much more high level looking and quality feeling . Fortunately, the environment is good. The service is also good..
It’s wonderful place to celebrate with family or a date night. The whole place is hustle and buzzing away! I had a wonderful time celebrating a birthday with friends. The menu has a lot to offer sea food, meats which it is known for and many others. The service was excellent and very well put together. I was expecting a bit more quiet but I was pleasantly surprised. It was fun and definitely would do this again! Food was great. I would stay away from the Brussels sprouts, it was saggy vs crispy. Wagyu short ribs were really good. No complaints whatsoever.
Was super busy because I went on Valentine’s Day, but despite that the service was still pretty good. It can feel a little crowded because the tables are pretty close, but I think they do a decent job with trying to ensure that they’re separated as much as possible. Was honestly a little underwhelmed by the food given that this place is a Dallas staple, but even though I was underwhelmed the food was still really good.
High end restaurant in oak lawn. Food was great! Service was excellent. Atmosphere was very warm & cozy. Had the filet- cooked to perfection! Coconut pie for dessert is over the top delicious! Not sure of prices because it was a business dinner. However, nice restaurant! Try it out! Oh outdoor seating along with nice bar area. Update: went Saturday night for sibling annual holiday dinner. Right before Christmas- food was over the top excellent. Ribeye steak- sea bass- veal - pork chops- veggies- soups / desserts. All amazing. Too bad our waiter had no personality & really short with us & rude. When you’re spending that kind of money- get a personality! Everyone one else was very friendly!
I had the pleasure of dining at Al Biernat’s Oak Lawn as a guest of my clients, and the experience was absolutely outstanding. The location is extremely elegant, with a refined and welcoming atmosphere that immediately makes you feel comfortable. The service was truly impeccable — professional, attentive, and perfectly timed throughout the entire evening. The quality of the ingredients is exceptional, resulting in dishes that are simply incredible. Both the seafood and the steaks are clearly the restaurant’s signature strengths — perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. An outstanding dining experience that I would highly recommend. Definitely a must-try!
Al Biernat’s Oak Lawn is hands down one of the best steakhouses I’ve ever been to. From the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable. The ribeye was cooked exactly as ordered, and the sides complemented it perfectly. A fantastic experience from start to finish!
It was overall lovely, we unfortunately were sat right by the entrance to the kitchen and my booth back shared a wall with the serving trays so about every 3 minutes we heard a slam, my booth would kinda move, just thought the table layout was so interesting. I have worked as a lead sauté chef, but hearing yelling during dinner from the kitchen was not ideal. What we ordered: Calamari- WOW yum Caesar Salad- first came out the lettuce was soggy, no dressing, talked to a server and when I saw IMMEDIATELY fixed it! He instantly got me a fresh salad and it was much better Broccoli- Good, nothing to write home about 6ox Lobster Tail- Not a fan, sadly it was a tad rubbery ($60) 22ox Ribeye- Not the best steak I have ever had but it was great! Traditional Potatoes- Really yummy Service was great, Sean was lovely, just a few smaller personal preferences! Give this place a try for sure.

The valet parking and hosts were great, as you would expect for this level of a restaurant. The wait staff was good when they were available. The food was really slow coming out of the kitchen, not sure if that was wait staff or the kitchen. The food was average to unpleasant. First, they dumped a ton of dressing on our salad to the point it was overpowering. Less is more sometimes. The entries were good but not great. Not a lot of wow factor in that area. Overall, below average experience for what I expected from this level of a restaurant.

What really killed the vibe was when the manager suggested we leave our table and move to the bar for two free glasses of champagne. It’s frustrating to think about: as one of the few minorities in the space, I just spent hundreds of dollars, only to feel like our presence was an inconvenience to the staff. I'm a frequent guest and usually dress formally, as this is a go-to spot for many at my firm. On this occasion, I was more casual, and it was clear that the treatment was different. I often rave about you all, so being treated this way was quite disappointing.
I'm sad to write that my experience at AL Biernat's is extremely disappointing. I've been told on a few occasions that one must visit AL Biernat's. I waited for a special occasion to go, and was extremely let down. It was a Birthday celebration and my expectations were that they would have made the visit more memorable. They did say Happy Birthday when we checked in however our server said nothing and that was the extent of it. Not a visit from the manager, small cake or dessert or anything. In addition the menu was a tad pricey. I spent 159.66 for brunch. My salmon and mac and cheese was good however every other item was sub par. On a final note Taylor or server was very professional, however made the experience feel extremely rushed. It wasn't a pleasant experience and unfortunately I will never return:(
I went to Al Biernat’s to celebrate my birthday in March 2025. It’s a place I’ve looked forward to trying for a long time as it’s a Dallas staple I’ve always heard great things about. It was very loud and crowded, the vibe was very much a place to go and be seen. Lindsay, our waitress was nice, but our booth was wobbly and the person behind me moved so much and so constantly that I spent most of the meal leaning forward to try to avoid it. We started with drinks which were probably the best part of the night- the old fashioned was particularly good. The food was good, but not the quality I’d expect for the price point. I don’t regret going, but I won’t be back. I’d give the experience 3 stars, but I deducted a full star because I spent most of the next day sick.
I finally made it to Al Biernat's for a post Valentines dinner with my Hubby and let's just say I left disappointed... We were immediately seated after checking in for my reservation. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, room dimly lit, food overall is good but service was subpar. 1st, we were seated for almost 30 minutes before receiving complimentary bread... I noticed 4 top and 2 top that was seated after us received their bread shortly after being seated. So, I asked food runner that brought our appetizer, "why didn't we get any bread"? He responded, "Its at the servers discretion...." 🤔 Excuse me! Then bread was delivered 1 min later....lol 2nd, I ordered lamb chops (double cut) medium well and hubby ordered Tomahawk steak, medium rare. The entrees came out quickly and was good. Only issue my lamb chops were cooked Medium rare instead of Medium well, as requested. So my server, Jodan took Lamb chops to kitchen to cook a little longer....no problem. While I was waiting on my Lamb chop, I got stuffed with my sides of asparagus and lobster risotto, which were both good. I only could take a few bites of my lamb chops bc i was already stuffed and They were delicious btw! 3rd; At the end of meal our Server Jordan asked to box food for us.. Jordan boxed my husband meal and service helper boxed mine. I mentioned i want both and pointed 2 both 2x cut lambchops...Unfortunately, he threw away Lambchop that was partially eaten. When I brought this to Jordan's attention he said "The restaurant is unable to replace tossed lambchop bc they are COMPLETLY OUT of Lambchops now...🧐 Therefore, management decided to remove order from my bill completely....I wouldve preferred a replacement for my tossed Lambchops.. Got to my car and made an online order for Lambchops and Guess What?!?.....They were magically in stock... " GO FIGURE!"😉
The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because of the service. I would have to give food 1 star. We went to this restaurant to celebrate my wife’s birthday. As far as the restaurant goes it’s nice but super loud. If you expect to have a nice romantic dinner then this place is not it. Let’s move to the food. I ordered the New York Strip and wife got the Sea Bass with Lobster Risotto. Sea Bass had no flavor at all. Super bland, had to add a bunch of salt to taste anything on the dish. For $60 it should have been perfect. Not to mention my wife got a stomach ache after eating the food. So not sure what was going on that day. Now moving to my steak. I have been to many steak restaurants and this is actually the first time I have experienced a steak that was over seasoned. I mean all my years I have never had a steak that was salted to a point it was barely eatable. I was starving so didn’t want to send it back plus redoing never works out for me. I don’t know if the chef had an off day but missing the mark on both dishes? Maybe they added the salt from the fish to my steak instead. I mean the cook on the steak was perfect so will give them that but for $80 it should have been the best steak ever. My daughter even said that steak I make at home for her tastes better. This is the lowest rating I have given so far to any restaurant. I had high expectations especially for the money I spent. Definitely ruined the day for us.
