I love this Williams Chicken, the service has been the best in this neighborhood for almost 20 years. The size of chicken wings, and the way they cook your livers and gizzards to your liking is what I appreciate and what keeps me coming back every day. He was also out in the parking lot shoveling ice so people could pull in. I'm so happy to have such great people locally. Thank you Williams Chicken. Out of all the Williams Chicken restaurants in my surrounding area this is my most definitely go place to eat from. I always make the extra drive to this location. They always serve me up properly and friendly. There is this one individual in the Drive-Thru that always takes care of me no matter what. I don't know his name at this moment but he always has great customer service with a smile. No matter what he always layers the gravy in my mashed potatoes. Other employees however are not so friendly and always want to charge extra for 2 seconds of extra work. Regardless it will never keep me from returning for their great food. The other Williams Chicken locations that are closer to me charge more for the exact same thing that I purchase at the Illinois location. I will continue to be a customer at the Illinois location no matter what.

The food was really good, we ordered the 16pc family meal with 6 extra rolls, large mashed potatoes with white gravy, and large green beans. Even with a long wait, it was extremely well cooked and juicy. I like the fact they have 2 separate gravies you can choose from. I highly recommend this location of Williams Chicken. I will be back, I hope you repeat the same quality around the board.

8:46 pm 7/26 - the drive thru young lady offered a drink and was super sweet!! The food was hot and didn’t take long to bring out. The gentleman who brought out our food was very sweet and had a great smile. Best experience of customer service in a long time!!! Thank you! I literally bypass every Williams chicken from Forney to Dallas to come to this location...The ladies there have such a kind, sweet, loving, caring spirit...its like a busy location but they handle the pressure with ease and patience...They even bring the food out to your car if necessary. The food was hot, fresh and never disappoints. I recommend this location over any other location I have visited...I pray they keep the same energy to sustain this reputation

Overall the chicken tenders are delicious 😋 🤤 a bit greasy but they taste amazing and fresh, the service is also great. The atmosphere well it's basically a pick up location and not a eat in kind of restaurant but overall 5 stars for the tasty food and the great service, sometimes they go extra and give you an extra tender or biscuit.

Had a great experience tonight after a bad experience at another location. I went to this location and went through drive thru and I thought the speakers weren’t working so I drove through with out ordering. However, I realized the speakers were working as i heard the car behind me order. I told the young man at the window that I didn’t order and can come inside since I didn’t want to hold up the line. He said no worries, took my order and food was out in seconds! The food was so good 😊, so thanks!

I don’t understand why anybody can complain about this location of Williams chicken. Their chicken is always fresh hot. The people are nice compared to other locations. I live in North Dallas and will drive all the way to Illinois and 35 just to know my chicken is fresh and nobody is going to be rude to me. I mean I guess everybody has a. Bad day, but at someone who comes here regularly I have no complaints.

Love this chicken place. My parents was visiting Texas from Memphis and wanted some real chicken and they got it.

Not consistent on freshness. One employee parks in front every day when it should be available for the guest. Very small lot an that ugly Chevy with rims is always up front.

My husband and I go here all the time, I enjoy the tenders and gizzards. I have never had a problem here, everyone I have encountered has been nice and great attitudes. The manager that has the grey beard, is always nice and when we have to wait he always offers us a drink for the wait.....I will continue to come here. Some of the best fried chicken I've ever eaten in my life and they are very reasonably priced. The skin was crispy and crunchy the meat was juicy, moist and nice-sized. I've never been there late night so I cannot confirm this but they do have a sign stating they are open 24 / 7 which is awesome if you're craving a late night snack, or meal. When I got my order, I didn't open it until I got home.I realized the chicken was still warm but the texture of the chicken wasn't cooked crispy enough, they usually get it, maybe someone had bad day that Sunday night. I also called and told one of the workers that night, that they where pulling the chicken up to early from the flyer, and the guy response was "okay sorry about that", he didn't ask me if they could make my order right as a customer or not, which would have been nice since I am a regular customer.

It's fried chicken. Quick service and food was freah. We did a 2 piece white and 2 piece dark. They chicken had a little crunch. The meat and breading could do with more seasoning. It was okay. The mashed potatoes seemed a little off, didn't want to finish them. I went for lunch, had I gone at 2am, it probably would have seemed better due to lack of other options. The building was a neat concept, a front end foyer vestibule style to order and eat. The building is 90% kitchen, with a drive through. Around 8 seats inside at a high top counter. I liked to setup and service execution, food could use more seasonings.

As soon as I got my food which I waited 20 minutes plus from the drive thru for, I asked for two of the same pieces of chicken but one was significantly smaller! Ugh. Then my fries were in the big bag instead of in the meal Duh no! Got other people snacking on my fries! Lol No! Then when I got home and opened up my box I guess they rushed the food or something because all of my gizzards fell out the box! And I was mad! Then the hot sauce was runny from the packages and smelled bad, other than that it was good.

Basic drive-through fried chicken spot. The drive-through intercom wasn't working, so it prolonged the wait, since I couldn't place my order until I reached the window. Staff offered no recommendations of what to try or what is on special.

Williams location #1 need to provide more training to all staff on professionalism. I was given one napkin last night with my order and asked for more napkins, was handed one more. I questioned if they were issuing them out now, the worker said "cause all yall do is lick yalls fingers & dab em on the napkin". Very rude, unprofessional and disrespectful. Very very poor customer service!

Drive through speaker did not work. Orders taken at the hand out window where they have no menu to order from. Very over priced CKN for what you get. Excellent price and size for ckn livers. Had to go in and get the dinner that took a very long time to make. It was late at night maybe 1 am so employees were very low only saw 2 people working. It is a 24 hr place so it should be run at night the same as the day or your reputation surfers and you loose customers or never get that customer to return again.

The food is decent but the service is some of the worst I've experienced. Very unprofessional. The drive thru cashier kept interrupting me and it took several times to tell her my order, and when she asked for my payment, I asked her to repeat my order first and she shut the window and walked away. So, I flagged down another employee, confirmed my order and still got the wrong drink order (food order good though) after telling them 3 times. Williams chicken to me was the pride of Oakcliffe this location on Illinois. I’ve moved to San Antonio and have always bragged about the flavor of Williams chicken on Illinois. However this past Saturday I traveled to Dallas and stopped at my favorite chicken House yes you guessed it Williams chicken on Illinois. Apparently they must have changed management and the recipe. The chicken was horrible definitely not the Williams I’ve remembered and bragged on. Will not eat here again🤮

The service from the young lady at the window today was the worst by far. She was rude distracted and just plain appalling! I have worked in customer service for 11 yrs and I can guarantee you if this young worked on one of teams she would be at the unemployment line first thing in the morning. This location does not deserve any stars!!!!! My husband is an essential worker. He frequently visit this location after working hours. On Sunday night he visited this location via drive thru and was refused service by a Hispanic employee. The employee accused him of pointing a finger at his sister in which there was no female present. How unprofessional and then advised him since I like money I will serve you and gave my husband the wrong order after he paid for it! This is very unprofessional and very bad customer service on William's chicken behalf and need to be addressed immediately. I instructed my husband to go to one of the competitors to spend his money as he doesn't have to spend his hard earned money at this establishment and especially during this pandemic to get treated this way!!!!!!

Hello, I am complaining about store #03 at 238 W Illinois Ave, Dallas, TX 75224 which did not start my online order until I got there and said "16 minute wait" when I was already there 5 minutes and no people in line with no apologies from the staff on 11/20/25 at 3AM. Please fix this. I took a break from William's chicken for 2 years because of bad service and decided to come back and try it. I wont be recommending this company. The staff is in the back eating food & ignoring customers.

I went to get an 5 piece and 3 piece chicken dinner. I asked the man at the window how much the meals would be he stated 21.53. Ok then a young lady comes and tell me my total is 30.12. That’s beyond me how it jumped up so high. He responded with an attitude and said he told you the prices without it being the meal. I’m no ma’am when I clearly stated a meal. I don’t think their customer service is up to par. You can’t talk to your customers any kind of way and expect to get nothing in return. I WILL NOT BE BACK NOR DO I RECOMMEND.!!!

Grew up on Williams Chicken and unfortunately won't be eating there anymore. Literally counted 5 German roaches just standing at the window for 3 minutes. When asked about their pest control the employee tried covering them with a receipt. Got my refund..Please do better.

One star due to the chicken being good. The guy in the drive thru was rude and assumed that we went to Williams chicken training. The speaker don’t work so when we drove to the window... he was sitting down waiting on us to great him!!!! No welcome to Williams🙄 it was what you need. I needed customer service!!!! We ordered the Picnic special. No receipt and when I asked it was a problem. We, were told to drive to the front. It’s 3 others and waiting on chicken also. He should have said it will be a wait $30 ago. We, get to the front and the cook had on a apron outside smoking😳. The only Williams that had great service is in Duncanville. Sad that respect is lost due the area that we are in.

I usually eat here a lot because I stay around the corner, but tonight the food was not fresh n it was terrible and the manger had a horrible attitude. She told me that the food I received was fresh and it wasn't and it would be 20 more minutes for fresh chicken. I would rather go to the other one 10 mins away instead. visited this location this morning 01/08 @2:19am. the line was long which is fine but it didn't seem they were trying to move it along in a timely manner. I sat at the menu for 5 minutes no one came on the speaker so I assumed it was broken, when I pulled to the window they had the audacity to tell me to pull back to the speaker as if it wasn't a very long line. the lady said the guy taking orders had gotten backed up and was a little slow to take mine(5minutes). this caused him to take the order of the people behind me so I needed to get back in line. how is that my fault? horrible customer service

If I eat Williams it's always at this location because they've been the best....hot food, service etc. Today I went around 3:30 cause didn't feel like cooking. Ordered the 12 pc mixed and fry...get home and the wings, were they pigeon wings? These were wings the size of drummettes, literally. And the miniature sized box of fries when we ordered a large? I was too tired to turn around but would definitely leave a review. Because of my other experiences I may continue to order but it is off- putting

06/08/2024 after extremely long work hours until 3am, I went to this location, and it was very busy. After being blocked in the drive through line for 15, I pulled up to be told that there was a 24-minute wait for 3 legs w/fries. Instead of waiting, I chose what was up which was a breast and thigh. After waiting on my meal, the server discovered that the manager had given my food away to the panhandle that was asking the walk-up customers for food. I had not eaten all day, so I decided to wait for the three legs that I originally asked for because 10 of the 24 minutes had passed. I asked the young lady was there a price difference and she said no. When the manager brought my order, it was the breast and thigh. I advised him that my order was in correct and that I had asked for my original order since I had to wait the 24 minutes (that felt like 24 hours). Instead of righting the second wrong, he chose to go around with me in circles about an up charge. I was exhausted and simply asked for a refund since this experience was now going on an hour. He took the drink that slightly wasted in my car and the chicken and trashed it. He took no accountability for the mistakes made and unfortunately, I do not plan on going back.
