Such a welcoming atmosphere! The open mic was amazing 🤩
Great food, menu and lovely staff. Highly recommend 👌
This place was just awesome. Really enjoyed the food and ambiance.
The wait was minimal, food was very tasty, the servers were friendly. The music (the b Boyz) was great.
Great food served hot by great staff. Telling all my friends.
High Falls Cafe is absolutely the best in the area. They have quick, exceptional service and incredibly good food for awesome prices.
Good food, great live music. Nice outdoor dining in warm weather.
Great food. Nice out of the way place. Great people to hang with!
I love this place from when it was on Mohonk rd by Ollie’s pizza, I loved it when it was on the golf course, and I love it now too.
We had the reception for the attendees of my fathers funeral. The staff and food was great. Thanks for everything . G.
Excellent food, good service and live music. What more could you ask for.
Very good food,1st time eating there. I would definitely eat there again.
Always delicious! When our friends from NY come to visit, we make this our ritual Sunday morning destination! YUM!!!
Best food, best service, best music The only bar restaurant with a actual "singing waitress" Robin, its not her title but she is an attentive waitress and a wonderful soul singer Order the "Maureen" a peach cocktail
Food was very good. I had a burger with mushrooms and blue cheese. Yum. Our group of 8 was treated to friendly service. Great outing.
First rate Father's Day meal. Great attentive service. Dined on the patio and thoroughly enjoyed the experience with my daughter.
We went with our motorcycle group we were served quickly and politely the prices were reasonable the food was excellent
The best skiploch rolls I've ever had, perfectly lambasted in weegee and crumbum. Coffee was hot and laced with an edge of squee. My tongue did somersaults. View of the anterior 9 and a light breeze cornifying from a westerly direction. Heavenly.
Wonderful place to relax and enjoy good times with friends. Great food and an amazing atmosphere. Live music by local musicians is the best.
Great band, dancing, food is so good! Warm inviting atmosphere. I must go back soon.
First time there since it was Ivans!!! Food and service were good. Will definitely go back.
My ultimate hangout. Great, great food and better atmosphere. The staff are awesome and almost daily music at night gets this gem in High Falls the best rating.
Friendly staff, great service and the food is always awesome! Never had a bad meal or bad service and I’ve been there dozens of times!
The food keeps getting better and better...outstanding ...great service and fair prices....
Food is always good, menu is priced fairly 😋
Great place for wings and appetizers. Main courses were good and beer ice cold.
Friendly staff. Good food. Great portion size. Nice out door deating. Good prices.
I try to come here everytime I visit the area... it can get loud at times... but the food and service have always been amazing... my mouth is watering just thinking about it... since I will be in the area this weekend...
Great food, great drinks, friendly and attentative service and good prices
Its like traveling in time. The atmosphere and service are awesome.
Frank Racine's comments were misdirected. The High Falls Cafe is an entirely separate business from the Stone Dock Golf Course. It is obvious to me that Frank's negative comments were referring to the management of the Stone Dock Golf Course and not the High Falls Cafe. The High Falls Cafe is run by Brian and Buffy Gribbon who have always been committed to their customers and the community. They (unfortunately) have no control over the golf course.
This is a great restaurant to enjoy a nice breakfast or lunch! The inside is very unique and the location is near several historic sites and parks. Definitely worth going to!
Awesome place for a Sunday brunch! Delicious home cooked food on the menu. Live music and bands in the evenings, so we'll have to go back another time for that!
Eating these wings from Plattsburgh NY.... they never fail to amaze me! The staff here are outstanding and will go out of their way to provide the best service. The drinks are affordable, as well as the modern pub cuisine! They also have Carmenere from time to time, a fairly rare and tasty wine.
Trivia night is fantastic, great place to unwind and meet local, community friends. Great venue for music, food, and valley sunsets over the golf course. Family driven business, focusing on fresh, cook to order meals, fantastic wines, and staff. All around local family spot I would call home.
Very enjoyable atmosphere. Menu offers many items. Love to hear Bush Bros play there.
We have known the family run business for years and are so happy to have such a fun, local location to have great food and drinks. Wonderful atmosphere and lots of fun.
Went for trivia night with friends...what a good time! Food was good, bloody marys too. I think we need trivia night EVERY Thursday! Thanks for the fun and games. See you next month.
We like to make reservations for the night, come for dinner and enjoy the music and the service is professional but friendly, the drinks are good, the food is excellent and the whole atmosphere is pretty special... Sometimes it's literally standing room only, Great place !!!
Artichokes in cheese sauce will call you to return. Very reasonably priced. Scrumptious food. Just like Mom used to make. If you were not one of my siblings...chicken francese, meatloaf with mashed potatoes, fried calamari...Rocking music, dance floor, do I have to go...Get yourself there!
Staff is wonderful. You'll feel like a regular on your first visit. Great food and loved the music the night we went! Robin Baker with Breakaway.
We love going on Thursdays or Saturdays for live music. Wonderful staff and delicious food!
The Cafe has the BEST brunch around and at a modest price point with 10 variations of Eggs Benedict and the best hollandaise sauce! The burgers are delicious and BIG. You must order the soup! It's always amazing.
A family feel of dinning. Great chefs. Providing what I would consider a sightful afternoon or evening! Unwind with a date or friend and always check whose booked to jam!
Love the new location! As always, the food and service is top shelve. It was a full house, but the place is run so smoothly, we felt like we were the only ones there. Buffy and Brian, you've done it again! Good luck!
Went with friends for a birthday celebration. Veggie burgers are house made, crispy tater tots, rib eye, and chicken sammy were all good. Live music began as we were leaving. Good time!
Great place off the beaten path. Good food, service, very welcoming. Would be a good place to visit in the evening because the typically have live music.
We were vacationing in the Catskills when we decided to give this place a try — SO glad we did, we were totally blown away! I still dream about their Cajun turkey sandwich sometimes 😁 Portions were nice and big, and their pistachio cheesecake was delicious. Prices were also very reasonable. Would recommend!
We went here for lunch for the first time today. We arrived around 2pm so only a few patrons but more came in while we ate. Hubby and I had half-pound burgers which arrived perfectly cooked and very juicy on a very soft bun. The French fries were hot and not greasy. We each had a beer on tap. The burger was so big that I brought half home. The waitress was friendly, pleasant, cheerful and checked on us several times. We will definitely return as we enjoy finding good food and beer on tap. The prices were also very reasonable.
This has become our go-to place. The atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming. The staff is fantastic - friendly, personable, AND efficient. And the food is delicious. Flavorful. Satisfying. Consistent. Quality ingredients prepared by someone who loves food.
Great burgers!!! Wonderful service!!! Great atmosphere!!!! Thank you!!!
Took in some live music and a quick bite to eat. The food was average and nothing really felt outstanding and there weren't any allergy friendly options. The atmosphere is casual and very family friendly.
Lots of fun great live music and great food
See photos! Mary our server (wearing local t shirt with head band ) suggested I try veggie quesadilla with shrimp. Richie had the chicken one. Both delish and filling. Owner Brian welcomes patrons and checks back asking about food quality. Mary’s part time and will be coaching Ulster girls volleyball! Go team! She’s super cute and friendly. Like I’ve known her for years :) it was our first visit. All staff warm and welcoming! Family owned and operated. Brian’s got all immediate fam and then some working hard contributing to the business hoping for success. He nailed it! Just go and see for yourself! Thanks We will be back. Warmly, Ida & Richie
Nice menu, great food and service. Seems like a great place to see some live music as well
After walking on the C&W Rail Trail we stopped at High Falls Cafe for lunch. We heard about this place for years but don’t get to this area often. Walking in at noon there were only three people sitting at the bar. We were told we could sit anywhere. By the time we left it was busy. The server/bartender apologized a few times for being slow but we never felt that way. She was on top of everything; taking orders, getting drinks and bringing out the food. They have live music on Thursdays and Saturdays. The walls have lots of classic rock record covers and pictures of many musicians. I’ve not been here for the music but I’m sure it’s lots of the classic rock from the albums hanging up. For lunch we shared three things. A Veggie Quesadilla ($14) flour tortilla, cheddar, zucchini, portobello mushrooms, roasted red peppers, tomatoes, and sauteed spinach topped with pesto. The Casey’s Choice ($15) grilled chicken breast, sauteed spinach, portobello mushrooms and melted cheddar on a Kaiser roll. And an order of french fries. High Falls tries to use locally sourced produce and fresh ingredients as possible and it shows. Everything was great. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the atmosphere is rock and roll. If you are ever in the area you should stop in here for a bite.
My husband and I stopped by today just after they opened at 11:30a.m. We ordered lunch. My husband had a burger and I had the Reuben sandwich. We were delighted with the food and the friendly and attentive staff. We have been here on Sundays and had to order from the Brunch menu, which apparently is the only option on Sundays. This is the first time that I have been here on a Saturday, and I wish they had these food items available on Sundays. I hope the owner/chefs will consider offering the food items on Sundays that are available during the week.
A quick stop for a late lunch. The chili was nicely done, and the hummus was tasty. Very nice waitress.
Very unexpected brunch spot. Wife and I saw the amazing photos in the google reviews and when we parked we double guessed ourselves. But once we sat down and saw the amazing brunch menu we were very surprised by the great food and great wait staff.
Every time my wife and I drive past this place it is busy. Had to see why - so we went to dinner on a Thursday night. Had reservations and glad we did! Place filled up! The night we went out it happened to be an open mic night. I was surprised by how many people showed up to play… all types of music. Wife and I sat and listened to several different musicians but ended up leaving because we had dogs at home waiting for us. We would have liked to listen to more! Sets were limited to two songs or 12 minutes - it gave all the musicians time to play. Food was very good… wife and shared chicken wings as an appetizer and then each had burgers. Meal was very good and cooked perfectly. Server, Taylor, did a great job and was attentive- even with the crowd. They seem to have lots of live music, trivia and other events. Check their Facebook page for upcoming events. Want to do the open mic again… btw - starts at 7 but if you wait till then, good luck getting a seat.
This spot is a riot. The Bush Brothers sounded great and it was hands down the best dining experience I've ever had. You can dress up or down, folks like to dance, drink, and chat through the night. It did get loud which usually bothers me but I was happy to be in such an uplifting environment.
Where everyone knows your name. Great local restaurant & bar. Warm & welcoming staff, great selection of local live music. What's not to love? Their new location is a big step up from their previous one. Highly recommended! Just remember to make a reservation as the Cafe is very popular and is often a "full house".
I go here every Wednesday for the wing night. Great small town place to meet up with friends. Great music varieties.
Thursday night live music was great
Good food, good prices, many vegan options. Great live music.
Buffalo chicken wrap was probably the best I have ever had! Love the staff!
Excellent place, setting and staff. Brian and his family run a wonderful restaurant, great food, fun bar scene, and some great music nights too!
Great burger and pleasant staff, no frills as we mixed with local golfers in camouflage and t-shirts. Want to return for the live music
Yummy food and fun atmosphere. They accommodated a large group and were very attentive.
My second time here. Cool little place that embraces a lot of live music. The food we ordered was slow coming as most everyone who came for the music ordered at the same time. Food was very good. The group Trio Mio was excellent.
Great food - vegan options. Grilled tofu side order with Cajun spices is good. Ordered that, along with 2 other sides....sauteed broccoli & garlic in olive oil, and zucchini and carrots. Yum! Friendly staff. They were out of Veggie Chili.😪. If you want that, call to make sure they didn't sell out.
This place is located on the stone dock Golf Course that Berme Road, a little bit off the beaten path but worth the extra trip they have great music on the weekends and very affordable beers plus an amazing food. Three separate menus definitely check out there Sunday morning breakfasts.
Nice local hangout with great service, bands almost every week (post-covid) and good selection of food. Dine inside or outdoors on the golf course. Plenty of parking, pool table, good music and fun atmosphere
Great little place food and service was great the band was a little too loud but the music was good . had fun trying to help get a bat out of the place that was flying around for a few minutes then it flew out the door will be back
This bustling local favorite is super casual and comfortable. They frequently host live music, offer a Beer & Burger special, and have fantastic buffalo wings. Unfortunately their menu doesn't offer many options for vegetarians or vegans, and their house-made veggie burger leaves a bit to be desired. That said, almost everything they serve is scratch made, fresh to order, and prepared with care. The staff are awesome, super friendly and personable, service is quick and they'll go out of their way to make sure you have an enjoyable meal.
Nice homey low key restaurant (and bar). Bordering the golf green you can enjoy your food dining in or outside. Many options for both carnivores and vegetarians. Prices are reasonable and service was very friendly. Definitely a place you can sit for a coffee or a beer while your kids enjoy the green grass and trees.
It's funny to be doing a review of the High Falls cafe just now. This cafe has had a long journey, I don't know how long it's been at this location but I've never liked this spot. The people are great, they have great live music, they have a reasonably affordable breakfast on Sundays... The old location on the corner of mohawk and 213 was really cute and this place, always had sort of a Seventies modular/double wide field to it and I never really liked it. Don't get me wrong, the owner of the headfalls cafe has always done her best to make it as cute as possible karma but the proportions of the room and so on have always just kind of limited the impact that she could have on that period it was like a lovely little semi precious gem set in A slightly Scuffed up cracker jacks ring... So now we don't have to throw out the jewel, the jewel is being reset as it were. To completely overburden a metaphor. Soooo❤️❤️❤️❤️ I'm really happy that they are moving to where the old Marbletown inn used to be. I have to drive by e there a couple times a week and I see that they are renovating and I'm hoping that it is just the cutest place and that we can see great live music and have yummy food in a better setting! That is also a much more accessible location, and I'm sure they'll get more traffic, and I wish them all the best!
Went to a event in the area and wasn't able to eat at the event, so went looking for food and found the High Falls Cafe what wonderful food. My daughter had the veggie burger and enjoyed it. I started with the artichokes & spinach au gratin dip served with pita chips, it was very good. Then I had the Grilled Ahi Tuna Steak sandwich on a Kaiser roll. The taste here was outstanding flavor, but the tuna was about a third of the roll. I can't tell you how good the taste was I just wish it was bigger. Grandson ate kids chicken tenders which made him happy. Top notch food, waitress was a young woman who had more interest in talking at the bar then service. But the other waitress stop buy to remove plates when she saw them empty or answer a question.
Been here a few times. This was the first time I wasn't completely satisfied. Turkey club needs better turkey. Ruben was good. Excellent fries - draft beer was ice cold and fresh. Staff was excellent.
Food was plentiful and authentic. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Off the beaten path so parking was not an issue.
Nice pub! We had a nice lunch with a bottle of wine. The place had a great vibe and pleasant crowd during the day. Service was excellent.
Fun local bar/restaurant that has great dance bands. Food and prices are decent.
Great for live music, good eggs beni, fun local hang out. Couple things on the menu area a miss but over all decent comfort food.
Nice view of the golf course and surrounding property. Very friendly staff. Met up with a friend for a couple drinks. He ordered Mexican Nachos, I ordered Irish Nachos. Both were filling but dissapointing. Would return again to try the entrees.
We had a child with Celiac disease with us and came to High Falls Cafe because they advertise gluten free choices. However, the waitress was unfamiliar with the necessity to isolate gluten free food from food containing gluten and brought the kid's gluten free grilled cheese sandwich with fries that had been cooked in the same oil as other non-gluten free foods. It's tough enough to try to keep things normal for this child without having to educate people who should know these things. Don't advertise the GF foods if you're going to contaminate them.
Good food, nice atmosphere. It feels a little too much like a country club. Not really geared towards a younger crowd but still welcoming. The trivia night was fun. The burger I ordered was pretty good, the fries tasted a little stale and boring. Not too bad but not exceptional.
Nice place but the bartender is the WORST! She ignores you and then gets annoyed when she actually gets you a drink. She was clearly not trained as a bartender. Terrible experience!
Good bar area, good set up. Wings are ok. Small and boney. On wing night, we were not allowed to box our wings which we found to be very offensive and a poor maneuver. No longer going to wing night there. Plenty of other places for wings.
Came from too far to be so disappointed Chicken so dry and 1/2 size of bun and linguine was just meh shrimp was NOT fresh and desperately needed seasoning. Server was attentive
First time eating here. Waitress was real nice. My husband got a burger and waffle fries. He enjoyed his burger. Every aspect of my lunch was not so great. Spring rolls we shared were very tasty but cold in the middle. I also ordered the blackened chicken that was 13.00 and it barley had chicken on it. That was also very tasty. And the sides of cole slaw we both got were not good. I actually liked the tastes but the execution was not well done.
So me and my family started eating at the High Falls Cafe when they where in High Falls loved going there always had great food, then they moved to Stone Docks and things changed service was hit or miss, location was ok but not a favorite. Now they have takin over the spot of a favorite place The Marbletown Inn loved everything about them but after many years the left the food business. So then we found out that High Falls Cafe was going to be taking over that location and we were happy and had planed to go once they opened. Well we have tried more then once to go and eat there and have been turned away every time, 3pm on a Sunday was told sorry we stopped serving ok I get it, then tried again and was told we need a reservation but there where many open tables, tried another time and again where turned away well I’m done I tried and I guess they just don’t want my business .
We have family that’s been going there for years since they open and in the last past year the one waitress had been rude with attitude. would not recommend there service there
Perhaps I'm not progressive enough for this place, but I don't thing people should be smoking pot in a public place. Sept 1, 2022 we were having dinner there and I had an asthma attack but luckily had my inhaler, because people at the table right behind us were smoking pot. It now appears this tiny eatery needs to realize the 60s are over. It's very 60s there. Smoking in a public place is against the law.
Don’t order the little neck clam appetizer. It was so salty it wasn’t edible. We sent it back asking chef to try. Waitress came back said “Try ordering again next time you come back “ SERIOUSLY?! Didn’t apologize Didn’t take it off the bill or offer free dessert. Didn’t see owner who came around first time we were there to complain. We ordered personal pizza and fettuccine since it was pasta night. Both OK not spectacular.
