We went here for lunch for the first time today. We arrived around 2pm so only a few patrons but more came in while we ate. Hubby and I had half-pound burgers which arrived perfectly cooked and very juicy on a very soft bun. The French fries were hot and not greasy. We each had a beer on tap. The burger was so big that I brought half home. The waitress was friendly, pleasant, cheerful and checked on us several times. We will definitely return as we enjoy finding good food and beer on tap. The prices were also very reasonable.
This has become our go-to place. The atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming. The staff is fantastic - friendly, personable, AND efficient. And the food is delicious. Flavorful. Satisfying. Consistent. Quality ingredients prepared by someone who loves food.
Great burgers!!! Wonderful service!!! Great atmosphere!!!! Thank you!!!
Took in some live music and a quick bite to eat. The food was average and nothing really felt outstanding and there weren't any allergy friendly options. The atmosphere is casual and very family friendly.
Lots of fun great live music and great food
See photos! Mary our server (wearing local t shirt with head band ) suggested I try veggie quesadilla with shrimp. Richie had the chicken one. Both delish and filling. Owner Brian welcomes patrons and checks back asking about food quality. Mary’s part time and will be coaching Ulster girls volleyball! Go team! She’s super cute and friendly. Like I’ve known her for years :) it was our first visit. All staff warm and welcoming! Family owned and operated. Brian’s got all immediate fam and then some working hard contributing to the business hoping for success. He nailed it! Just go and see for yourself! Thanks We will be back. Warmly, Ida & Richie
Nice menu, great food and service. Seems like a great place to see some live music as well
After walking on the C&W Rail Trail we stopped at High Falls Cafe for lunch. We heard about this place for years but don’t get to this area often. Walking in at noon there were only three people sitting at the bar. We were told we could sit anywhere. By the time we left it was busy. The server/bartender apologized a few times for being slow but we never felt that way. She was on top of everything; taking orders, getting drinks and bringing out the food. They have live music on Thursdays and Saturdays. The walls have lots of classic rock record covers and pictures of many musicians. I’ve not been here for the music but I’m sure it’s lots of the classic rock from the albums hanging up. For lunch we shared three things. A Veggie Quesadilla ($14) flour tortilla, cheddar, zucchini, portobello mushrooms, roasted red peppers, tomatoes, and sauteed spinach topped with pesto. The Casey’s Choice ($15) grilled chicken breast, sauteed spinach, portobello mushrooms and melted cheddar on a Kaiser roll. And an order of french fries. High Falls tries to use locally sourced produce and fresh ingredients as possible and it shows. Everything was great. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the atmosphere is rock and roll. If you are ever in the area you should stop in here for a bite.
My husband and I stopped by today just after they opened at 11:30a.m. We ordered lunch. My husband had a burger and I had the Reuben sandwich. We were delighted with the food and the friendly and attentive staff. We have been here on Sundays and had to order from the Brunch menu, which apparently is the only option on Sundays. This is the first time that I have been here on a Saturday, and I wish they had these food items available on Sundays. I hope the owner/chefs will consider offering the food items on Sundays that are available during the week.
A quick stop for a late lunch. The chili was nicely done, and the hummus was tasty. Very nice waitress.
Very unexpected brunch spot. Wife and I saw the amazing photos in the google reviews and when we parked we double guessed ourselves. But once we sat down and saw the amazing brunch menu we were very surprised by the great food and great wait staff.
Every time my wife and I drive past this place it is busy. Had to see why - so we went to dinner on a Thursday night. Had reservations and glad we did! Place filled up! The night we went out it happened to be an open mic night. I was surprised by how many people showed up to play… all types of music. Wife and I sat and listened to several different musicians but ended up leaving because we had dogs at home waiting for us. We would have liked to listen to more! Sets were limited to two songs or 12 minutes - it gave all the musicians time to play. Food was very good… wife and shared chicken wings as an appetizer and then each had burgers. Meal was very good and cooked perfectly. Server, Taylor, did a great job and was attentive- even with the crowd. They seem to have lots of live music, trivia and other events. Check their Facebook page for upcoming events. Want to do the open mic again… btw - starts at 7 but if you wait till then, good luck getting a seat.
This spot is a riot. The Bush Brothers sounded great and it was hands down the best dining experience I've ever had. You can dress up or down, folks like to dance, drink, and chat through the night. It did get loud which usually bothers me but I was happy to be in such an uplifting environment.
Where everyone knows your name. Great local restaurant & bar. Warm & welcoming staff, great selection of local live music. What's not to love? Their new location is a big step up from their previous one. Highly recommended! Just remember to make a reservation as the Cafe is very popular and is often a "full house".
Been here a few times. This was the first time I wasn't completely satisfied. Turkey club needs better turkey. Ruben was good. Excellent fries - draft beer was ice cold and fresh. Staff was excellent.
Food was plentiful and authentic. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Off the beaten path so parking was not an issue.
Nice pub! We had a nice lunch with a bottle of wine. The place had a great vibe and pleasant crowd during the day. Service was excellent.
Good food, nice atmosphere. It feels a little too much like a country club. Not really geared towards a younger crowd but still welcoming. The trivia night was fun. The burger I ordered was pretty good, the fries tasted a little stale and boring. Not too bad but not exceptional.
First time eating here. Waitress was real nice. My husband got a burger and waffle fries. He enjoyed his burger. Every aspect of my lunch was not so great. Spring rolls we shared were very tasty but cold in the middle. I also ordered the blackened chicken that was 13.00 and it barley had chicken on it. That was also very tasty. And the sides of cole slaw we both got were not good. I actually liked the tastes but the execution was not well done.
Don’t order the little neck clam appetizer. It was so salty it wasn’t edible. We sent it back asking chef to try. Waitress came back said “Try ordering again next time you come back “ SERIOUSLY?! Didn’t apologize Didn’t take it off the bill or offer free dessert. Didn’t see owner who came around first time we were there to complain. We ordered personal pizza and fettuccine since it was pasta night. Both OK not spectacular.
