Great and inexpensive food. You walk up and order from outside. They've been in business 75 years. Anybody who lives in Lockport, NY knows about Reid's. I discovered this place 2 years ago and is now my favorite. Best place to take my family for a quick bite and milkshake before going to the park or an activity.

Was not sure what to expect when my friend told me to pull in but holy cow, so good! I had a burger, fries, and a milkshake, and it was classic and delicious. And so cheap! Definitely worth the random stop! And I will be going back once it warms up! (They have a dining room, but I was still chilly.)

The best deal on food you will find. Better than your typical fast food burger, they have their own special sauce to set them apart - kind of like a vinegar based ketchup with pepper. We purchased 3 burgers, two fries, and two shakes and still managed to only spend about $15.

Prices are amazing! Food is not bad either, hamburgers hotdogs fish sandwiches. The fries and onion rings are terrific. They have so many different kinds of milkshakes. You can eat indoors they have a back room with tables, nothing fancy. Or outside on picnic tables. Food comes out fast, and staff is nice.

Reids has been a Lockport institution for decades. Inexpensive but delicious food off the grill. I bring my family at least once everything we come back to visit family.

Good food. Hot and fresh to order. Even when busy, you aren't waiting long. Several people available taking many orders simultaneously. Don't be discouraged if you see a crowd. It'll be quick.

I love Reid's, I grew up going to this place and hanging out near by at the canal. Always a place to stop and grab some food and not spend a fortune, being kids we didn't have much money. But this is a great place for family and pets during the summer since there's plenty of seating outdoors. Not to mention your literally a short walk from canal path.

Reid's was a pleasure to visit. We were greeted with a pleasant face and with someone ready to help. The guy at the window had an incredible memory for the current times this is a hard accomplishment and it was done with ease. The food was a good value. They have a nice milkshake list and great prices. I will definitely be back to try more of this amazing menu.

If you are seeking a hot, fast, simple burger then stop here! Food was fast and juicy. Not super fancy but that's what makes it great! Prices are low. The indoor area was less to be desired (kinda messy and floors are sticky, not pleasant), but one doesn't go there to sit down. Drive-up order and go. There is a bathroom inside.

Family favorite at Reids is the milkshakes. I think probably close to one of the best I mean to. And I love the cheeseburgers with there house sauce. The only knock to the place I believe it's cash only still but doesn't stop me from going back.

The food is amazing. Onion rings super crispy. The sausage perfectly cooked and my boys wolfed down the cheeseburgers. The shakes are amazing. The jumbo is not for the faint of heart or with a small appetite. Almost a meal by itself.

There is the feeling of old fashioned and summer weather when it comes to Reids! In the picture I posted was a red hot, white hot, side of fries and extra sauce. All this food cost less then $7. Extremely affordable. Both of the hot dogs taste very good. I enjoy getting extra sauce to dip my fries in. So stop on in when around and enjoy!

Service is always great and speedy. A local must stop! Nothing fancy just your basic american style food! Onion rings are top notch. All condiments are DIY. Be sure to order a side of pickles. They have malt shakes in chocolate and vanilla, a unique treat. My fav part besides the food is the workers don't write anything down! They do it all from memory and in some sort of code.

Love this walk up stand. 75 years in business I can imagine the memories. There was a line outside, but service was very quick. I don't think we waited more than 10 mins. I Would highly recommend, for that old home town hamburger stand vibe.

Can’t go wrong with Reid’s I like their onion rings with the sauce. I got a burger and a hotdog. I miss we order the whole menu. I love it it’s decently priced. Can’t forget to get a shake it I like the banana shakes. They bomb when it’s outside, you can relax with your family is really a beautiful right around the corner from the fishing I’d recommend reads over Widewaters they’re a little bit cheaper I like the food better can’t go wrong with either though.

Friday afternoon, 72 degrees and breezy, sitting at a picnic table under the swaying shade of the trees around me, eating an old fashioned hotdog with a lemonade while other folks had a picnic around me. It's probably the only time I ever wanted my 15 minutes at an eatery to stretch into hours. Thanks Reids; your basic approach to food made me have a little time out that I desperately needed.

It's the middle of winter ❄️🥶 so the atmosphere is not the greatest anywhere in WNY but the employees seemed like they were having fun and friendly, I was pretty shocked when she told me the price for what me and my grandson ordered!! It was far from what I was expecting!! It was a good amount of food that didn't cost as much as I was expecting!! And it was delicious!! Great place to stop and not ask if you can have a credit application for a fast meal!!!

Reid's is a classic roadside hots stand that has been around for over 75 years. When I say roadside, I mean that literally. You are standing on the sidewalk when you order. The prices are very very reasonable and the quality is great. It's close proximity to the Erie Canal trail makes it a perfect stop on a long bike ride.

Oh, my, god. The classic walk up and order burger and shake shack is such a welcoming atmosphere, the food turn around time was incredibly quick and I have to say they have the best bang for your buck cheese burgers you'll ever find.

My goodness. I used to drive by after eating lunch on the way through over the last 15 years seeing the lineups of people and thought I need to eat here. Why did I just eat chain fast food. So I finally came and made a point of visiting. I dont know what to try so I asked 4 people what to get and the consensus came quick: a double cheeseburger smothered with sauce and onion rings , loganberry drink and raspberry milkshake, $13. What a meal. Best quick service meal I've had in a very long time. Maybe best I've ever had. Great job and now I know why this place is usually lined up most of the day. Greetings from Canada.

I have been going to Reids since 1955..ok I am old. Growing up I loved the White Hots with sauce and fries. When I was 18 I went to college and came back summers and indulged in my favorite dogs. My mom lived nearby, so visits to her included visits to Reids. Then my mom moved away in 2011 and that was it. However I got the cravings. Earlier this month my mom passed at 102. This meant a trip to Lockport from NYC for the Burial. So I strategized the trip with White Hot Dogs in mind. When we arrived in Lockport we headed straight for Reids. When I turned onto Lockport Olcott road nearing Reids my mouth watered. It was a beautiful March day, 2025, I ordered my 2 white hots with sauce. I bought my Daughter in Law one as she had never experienced this. They were exactly the way they were years and years ago. So amazing. This is one of the treasures in American that we never forget. I will be back someday....

Love Reids. I visit here everytime I'm in Western NY. Red hots and white hots. Fries and hand dipped shakes and malts. A along the banks of the historic Erie Canal. They still keep their prices incredibly low.

I've been coming here for 40+ years since I was a little kid. My dad convinced me to try the white hot with sauce back then and it's still what I order. I load it with pickles now. Burgers, shakes and ice cream are also really good! I try to visit every time I'm back in town. So happy it's stayed open for all these years!

I'm not a fan of the Pickle set up... food is good, but to many people talking and walking around in the kitchen area. Definitely a favorite love the sauce ...i had it for the 1st time after coming here for over 15 years.

I always look forward to a visit or two to Reids during the summer months. It's family-owned and operated - third generation, I believe. And their prices are great. The burgers and fries are great, too, although I do miss the curly fries they served for years. One thing I did not like this year were the milkshakes - they were definitely not made with ice cream. They tasted more like ice milk - very disappointing!

I was recommended to eat here, but I found the red hots not really spicy at all, and they just didn't do it for me. Not downing the place as a hot dog stand, just this particular item. I'm sure the rest of the menu is satisfactory, and the service was top notch. My issue is if you are going to call it a "red hot", it should be hot, even if it isn't red.

Used to love this place. Lately it has gone down hill. To many young kids with no ambition working here. There are a few very hard working kids but the rest make the whole place look bad. I took my friend there who had never been to reid's and this girl with an awful attitude took his order and then hands him a burger that had mold all over the roll. Then tried again a few weeks ago and 3 girls were sitting down not doing anything on there cell phones chatting away while this one girl ran around doing all the work.

Reids is an incredibly cheap drive up burger and hot dog place that's open year round. They only take cash, so be sure to hit an ATM. You can get a triple cheeseburger, fries and a shake for under 10$ (the burgers are the size of a standard McDonald's burger, so you'll want to get at least a double if you're hungry). Their famous red sauce is sour, has good umami flavor and is great for dipping fries into, my husband didn't care for it on his burger though. We fed a family of 4 for under 35$ and that's with each kid getting a shake.

No frills take out joint. Sauce has changed, I guess it will be an acquired taste. I don't understand people raving about how cheap it is. I ordered 3 dogs, fries and a drink. Was almost $15. It used to be about $6-7 for same order. I used to make a trip from Lancaster once or twice a year, now will only stop by if I happened to be in Lockport.

The food is great! The part that irritates me is that they close so early. Customers in the Buffalo area need to have time to trek over there after getting out of work-especially in the warmer months. Closing at 8 means you are closing the door on so much business and $. Please reconsider!

People rave about this place and aside from it being cheap, I don’t know why. The burgers are hands down the worst I’ve ever had, they don’t even taste like beef…it tastes like soy additive. The white hot was actually good but it was so small it could fit in half of a regular hot dog roll. And listen, I like cheap…but this isn’t good. I have to assume these ratings are for the ice cream products, or because people love a “bargain”.

The food is decent and basically the same as it’s always been. The downsides are the prices have gone up significantly, post covid, like many places and isn’t a great value anymore in my opinion. The most annoying part is that they now pressure you into tipping if you pay with a card by sticking the iPad in your face to chose from high % tip options or reject to tip right in the workers face! What am I tipping for at a fast food road side restaurant??? On top of that, you’re now supposed to tip BEFORE they even put your order in, WHAT AM I TIPPING FOR?? It’s high school kids who sit against the wall staring at their phones like zombies instead of working! Never, not happening and makes me not want to come here anymore.

I only died here because of the people I was with wanted to come. As someone who does not eat meat there are really not very many options for me at Reid's. I'm all for supporting local businesses and I do enjoy their ice cream. I do not recommend their grilled cheese, it was a small and sad sandwich made with two burger buns and some American cheese. It was also dry and everybody knows a good grilled cheese should have melt in your mouth buttery grilled bread. So many establishments do not have vegetarian and vegan options. I've been to several burger places that offer plant-based options but sadly this is not one of them.

Thought I'd stop here to get a milkshake and left empty handed. I was first in line but never asked to take my order. 2 kids looked right at me. I said "do you order here?" Nothing. Mediocre hamburgs, food at best. 1 notch above mcdonald's. At least there they take your order. I never go to Reids because its always a pain. Again a pain.

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and the sauce is not the same bland, bland , bland . I ordered a banana milkshake and it was a vanilla shake with hint of banana coloring mainly a vanilla shake.. and the only way I would ever tip is if I sat at a table and you came and took my order and brought my food to me .. it’s laughable they even ask ..a tip to turn around walk 2 feet and repeat what I just said ,,lol I could just yell it to the cook 5 ft away .its kind of sad what this place has become .. I miss the old day Reid’s reasonable prices and you get what you pay for.. Sooo sad goodbye Reid’s..

They changed the meat for there hamburgers they are Terrible. I'll never buy another if they keep with that crap. Go back to what you was using. I ordered a white hot dog, cheeseburger, and onion rings, all with sauce. I waited only a couple minutes and I heard the husky young man with brown hair who took my order say to the cooks, "just give it to me raw, she's been waiting a few minutes". I don't care if I have to wait for my food to be cooked properly. The white hot was black on one side and swollen and white on the other side. I threw it out. I'm a life long Reids lover. My parents were 18 and went on their first date at Reids. But, raw meat being served to me and/or others is unacceptable. It is against health code laws. The time a customer waits should not be a reason for serving raw meat. The worker should be terminated.

If I could give no stars I would. We came at 630 for dinner. Literally the moment we walked up without a chance to look at the menu the young girl was asking if we were all set. We ordered a few hot dogs a sausage and two hamburgers and two fries and an onion ring. What we got was 6 hotdogs no sausages one fry(we ordered and paid for 2) and onion rings. No sauces on anything we watched another employee come out and clean up condiments while we waited for food. Once food came we had to pump the almost empty ketchup containers (only thing left out) and scoop out what was left of relish on two sticks like tooth picks. We’ve had Reids before and loved it. As we left they slammed the metal window closed when online says open until 8pm. Multiple employees just sitting around and we get nothing of what we ordered and gave 20 percent tip when we cashed out before we knew they were gonna mess it all up and not care.
