Came here base on recommendations from Eater LA as ine of LA top 20 essential Thai restaurants. It did not disappoint. Very authentic taste and very different from your other Thai restaurants. They have Northern and Southern Thai dishes. Big menu! See photos for reference.
A little pricey, but what in LA isn't? Love the soups. Especially on a cold night or when im feeling sick. Love trying new things from this place.
This place is a treasure. A hole-in-the wall type of place with incredible food and service. I come at off hours between 4 and 6 and get right in and find parking in the back. After 6, the place fills up and I see people waiting to sit down. The problem is the menu has so many selections and everything we order is so great. I want to keep ordering and ordering. So I'll just keep coming and ordering new things. This is a good problem to have.
Great food and staff! Up there with the best Thai in LA with the likes of Hoy-Ka and Jitlada.
enjoyed delicious meal with friends before a concert at CSUN. I had the beef salad. the meat was thinly sliced, tender and flavorful.
I wasn’t expecting much when we walked in, but the food here honestly surprised me. Better than Krua Thai — the food is way tastier. Every dish had real flavor, not the watered-down stuff you get at a lot of places. The spices were balanced, the portions were solid, and everything came out fresh. Service was quick but not rushed, and the staff actually checked in without hovering. For the price and the quality, this place is an easy repeat.
We’ve tried a few Thai spots around the Valley, but Lum-Ka-Naad really stood out. The food was flavorful and authentic, with dishes cooked just right and served quickly. Service was attentive without being rushed, and the cozy vibe makes it a comfortable spot for dinner. A great little restaurant we’ll definitely return to whenever we’re craving Thai food.
The food is delicious and the servers are friendly, attentive, and helpful! We ordered drunken noodles, pad se ew, orange chicken, Thai tea and combination fried rice. The noodle dishes were our favorite, but everything was tasty and fresh.
This Thai restaurant is a hidden gem! The vast menu offers something for everyone, and the portions are incredibly generous. My Pad See Ew with chicken was delicious, and it was enough to share with my toddler and have leftovers. The atmosphere is fun and inviting, with plenty of seating and friendly service. I can see why they're so popular. As I was leaving, they had a ton of to go orders ready, so it’s definitely a popular spot with the locals. They even have ample free parking, both on the street out front and in a lot out back (accessible through the alley).
As far as Thai Food goes, this is one of the best places I've ever been to. Everything we ordered was good, but the Honey Ribs specifically were sublime - Flavorful and melt off the bone soft. Our waiter was very friendly, and the food was served impressively quickly. The place is also designed quite traditionally and has a very quaint ambiance. It's definitely a great place if you're in the area and even worth a drive. I'll definitely be coming back to try their other dishes.
One of the best Thai food restaurants in the valley! We had the yellow curry and chicken pad thai, both were flavorful and portions sizes are enough to share. The waiters are friendly and the service is quick. The waitress makes great recommendations and if you're new to Thai cuisine you can ask any questions without hesitation. The ambiance is cozy and great for a date night. We went on a mid Sunday afternoon so it wasn't busy but it was quickly getting busy after we arrived. Seems like it could get very busy for dinner since seating is limited but they do have outdoor seating. Parking is in the back but limited as well.
My new favorite Thai spot!! We had the chicken pad thai, fish prik king, orange chicken, pineapple fried rice and pork belly in red curry sauce. All the food was DELICIOUS! The service was incredibly fast and the servers were friendly and attentive. We didn't have to wait long for the food, which is great when you have hungry kids. I cannot wait to go back and try more dishes. I definitely recommend this restaurant. 👌
There are meals that satisfy your stomach, your taste buds and heart..tonight's dinner was one such meal. Had Friday night dinner at Lum Ka Naad and it was awesome. Started with some wonderful sake ,Great taste and refreshing. I ordered the Khao suey from their Northern /Southern Thailand specialties and it was yumm. The Chicken drumstick was all but melting in this complex broth that showcased the flavors and textures a good Khao suey has. The toppings were well complimented too. My husband ordered the Green Chicken curry and that was very tasty too..lots of vegetables in the sauce. Great experience and quick, prompt service as well. Thank you!! We will be back again soon.
Hidden gem in the Valley. I've never been to Thailand so I don't know what's authentic or not. This place has both northern and southern regions of cooking. My wife and I went a little crazy and ordered four dishes: Khao soy (a curry noodle with chicken), roasted duck noodle soup, Jin Jang (crispy anchovy salad), and the crispy fish with their special sauce. All dishes were pretty amazing! If you are adventurous and like fish sauce, curry, etc than give those dishes a try. The waiter recommended the fish and we were hesitant at first (because we wanted to be more adventurous) but we were pleasantly surprised and gobbled it up completely. The special sauce that came with it was just crack. Definitely becoming back!
I have patronised this place since the inception but never got a chance to review the food. Last week with hunger flames burning I visited this restaurant after a long time. They were no changes at all on the menu. The Thai red curry with pork had all the ingredients and was well prepared. My other favourite dish was the Chinese brocoli with crisp fried pork. The decor is great nice combination of colours and the walls are adorned with beautiful paintings. Although the bar is very small in size but well stacked up, but of course the waiting staff needs little bit of table training.
Update: Still loving it here!!! Love this place. It gets very busy so we try to get there early. Menu is huge so you might want to check it out online before going. Can seat large groups. Friends had the glass noodles, I'm always pleasantly pleased with the yellow curry. There is parking in the back if no street parking is available. Wish they were quicker on drink refills, but truly, that's my only gripe.
Good Thai restaurant in the Valley. We ordered the appetizer sampler which I thought was just ok (the breading was a bit on the thick side) but the rest of the dishes were pretty decent. Our table shared a fried fish, red curry, boat noodles, and pad see ew. The dishes were all well flavored but the mild red curry was basically not spicy at all.
Great food, well seasoned. You could definately taste the flavor of every dish. Love the seafood soup. Chowmein was on the sweet side. Yes, they serve Thai and Chinese food here. First time I went the wait was kinda long which I think is always a good sign so I didn't mind waiting at all. My second trip I made a reservation and was seated right away. Overall great experience.
This is an average thai place but the problem is it is heavily understaffed. We had one individual always on the phone and another running to every table. The food is average with not a lot of thai flavors and taste. I wouldn't recommend this place if you enjoy a good thai meal.
