Cool spot to hang, kinda like THE BAR in Fresno Ca. But in Oakhurst Ca. Instead I highly recommend both places

The Oak Room is the real McCoy, a trip back in time where the beer flows cold, where you can dust off and sit shoulder to shoulder with old school local ranchers as they tell and retell stories of times long ago, but not forgotten. Bob wastes no time in serving up your pleasure, and takes good care of his patrons. And, a shout out to Larry...thank you for the Wild Turkey shots you so thoughtfully sent our way!

Oakhurst is a small town just 20 minutes from the South Entrance of Yosemite National Park and while most people see it as a tourist stop over, it is home to a small population, the majority of which, are very good, friendly and neighborly people. The Oak Room is a great place to meet with friends, have some spirits and enjoy some good times together.

We had a group breakfast here. The place was quiet. Service is great. Parking outside was tight. Will definitely go back.

You can meet there many locals and the atmosphere is really nice. The pricing for beers is really good.

Wow! Let me tell you what. For a little po dunk town this spot was it. Great drinks and even greater service! My bartender was a lady named Daniele and let me tell you what she was the best! Best! Best! She prepared the most amazing manhattan I’ve ever consumed! Her smile sure could light up the room. Highly recommend if there was an option for ten stars I’d give her twenty. Cheers mate

Great place! Reasonable prices... However, I was charged 2 different prices on 2 different trips for my same specialty drink... The first time $22... The second time $18... Then was told that they would be speaking to the current bartender about how they charged me the second time... Even though it's posted that "Any specialty drinks made will be charged at "$6.50.." Either way I still like the place... Great bartenders, great atmosphere, and great customers... I'm very happy with the place... Highly recommend despite the slight price discrepancy... A go to for sure!!!

My band Sceleton Krū played there tonight. The Oak Room staff are friendly and inviting. Katie is an absolute doll! The place, for being an older venue, was actually quite homey and made me feel like I was performing for a house party with my closest friends! We will definitely return and look forward to it!

Awesome, friendly, dive bar! We were in town for a couple days for the half marathon and visited here a couple times. Bartenders were always warm and welcoming and heavy handed with their pours. Definitely will visit again next time I'm in town

This place was amazing. I went there absolutely blackout drunk and the bartender was gentle yet firm when I ordered something that was not conducive to my goal of total liver failure after my many repeated pleas that I was not driving that night and that I should be served. 14.3/10. Will be back.

Very friendly and accommodating. Make you feel at home even if you aren't local. Not very busy but it was a Tuesday so understandable. I would visit again if ever in the area. Not too expensive either, very reasonable prices.

Maybe not a 5 any other time. But I'm from out of town and went out solo on Halloween night in Oakhurst and had a blast with the locals. Guessing it's typical dive bar (which I like) experience any other time, But Halloween went from sitting alone bored at hotel, to great night out. Had to walk back, so something must've gone right!

It may not look like an Applebees. On the outside. To quote an old fraze "don't judge a book (or bar) by its cover!! Inside is comfortable and inviting. While it has the atmosphere of a home town pub. The staff and regulars. Make any new comer feel welcome! If your passing through. Or going to be staying in town for a bit. And looking for a cold beer. Or a well poured drink. Definitely worth the stop!

It's small little dive bar we came across while staying in Oakhurst. It was literally 2 doors down from where we were spent the weekend. Friendly local establishment. Bartender Allison was super sweet. We were told they have karaoke on Saturday nights. There are pool tables there as well as huge Jenga game.

Stop in on New Year's Eve during the early shift. The bar was empty when we first arrived but filled up quickly. Pool tables were open, was pretty fairly kept up, but the bartender was awesome. Very Attentive and friendly. Prices were reasonable. I would definitely go back.

Well, from what I remember of this place, the atmosphere was great, that band was on point and the customers seemed friendly. I do remember ordering a Bud Light draft and paying $9. That was shocking to me. So for that reason, only 3 stars.

Friend and me went there . One beer one segrams and 7 up. These two drinks were $15.50. in my opinion way over priced. If had another one stay would of been 31 dollars for 2 beers and 2 mixed drinks. Nope can't afford that place.

Not a great place. The bartenders are very nice.The patrons are not very nice they need to get out of town more to see how the rest of the world acts. I've never been around such unfriendly patrons at any place I visited.

This place was terrible, horrible atmosphere and could not grab a drink in peace with me or my brother. Not a good experience seemed like the Bartender woman was drinking or on some other type of substance.

We stopped by earlier in the evening, ordered a drink, and hung out for a bit. Since the party was just getting started and the DJ hadn’t arrived yet (our fault for not checking times), we decided to go back to our hotel and return closer to the countdown. When we came back later, the parking lot was full and the place looked lively, so we were excited. As I went to walk in like I had earlier, I was stopped by someone claiming to be a bouncer. I say claiming because he was wearing a flannel shirt and smelled strongly of alcohol. I didn’t think much of it at first since small towns can operate differently. I handed him my ID, and my boyfriend handed his over as well. He glanced at them and said I was fine to enter but insisted my boyfriend was “too young.” We honestly thought he was joking because there was absolutely no way — my boyfriend is a full year older than me, and to make it even worse, his birthday is on New Year’s Eve, meaning he was literally turning a year older that night. We explained our birth years multiple times and even showed that his birthday was before mine. Despite this, he continued to insist my boyfriend was too young and repeatedly asked, “Do you understand what I’m saying?” when it was clear he didn’t understand the situation at all. This went on for about 10 minutes before someone else from inside the bar came out, checked our IDs, immediately confirmed we were both clearly of legal age, and let us in within seconds. At that point, we tried to still enjoy ourselves because we didn’t want to head back to the hotel during quiet hours — we wanted to ring in the New Year as planned. Unfortunately, once inside, the vibes were off fast. There wasn’t a single place we could sit or stand without feeling uncomfortably stared at. I didn’t even order another drink. We simply waited for midnight, rang in the New Year, and left. Between the incompetent door check and the unwelcoming atmosphere inside, this place failed to deliver what it advertised for New Year’s Eve. We expected better.
