Certainly would recommend the breast and wing two piece combo. I liked the mashed potatoes side, but mac and cheese was too watery.

Pollo loco is a must when my mom, aunt and I travel to Nevada and California. It is one of many planned stops whenever we are near one. Never disappointed with the food or service.

We have not been here for some time, but it was great. We have been to several EPLs since dining- in started, and this is the first one that we have been to that was like they all were pre-Covid.

I tried the carnitas tacos today in the drive though and they are some of the best carnitas tacos I’ve ever had! Delicious tortilla and delicious pork with a big slice of avocado. Wow!

The food was perfectly cooked and the restaurant was clean and the staff very friendly and efficient. The one in Tustin by my work doesn't sell their crazy good crunchy tacos much past 6pm because "their taco guy is off by then"...the crunchy tacos I had here in Paso Robles were the best I ever had chain wide!

I haven't been to one of these restaurants in many many years. Food was excellent, I was highly satisfied with my Chipotle quesadilla and tacos. Restaurant was clean, staff friendly and efficient.

El Pollo Loco is the best fast food Mexican restaurant with relatively authentic food. The chains like Taco Bell and Del Taco are garbage by comparison.

I recently went to this pollo loco to have dinner, the customer service was amazing! Everything tasted great! Mayra was very nice and welcoming! Will definitely be back again!

To be honest, we have found only one El Pollo Loco that was below par, & THIS IS NOT IT!!! The food here is Delicious. The service is fast and efficient. We have never arrived back home, to find anything missing from our Take-Out order. They take their job and responsibilities seriously. Nice place to do business. Enjoy!!!

Favorite family place when we're on a road trip. Wish there were some closer to us in the bay area. Burritos are really tasty and not too big. Fit bowls are really good too. Don't forget to order churros!

This location is hit or miss. Recently I've had alot more good experiences than before. Friendly cashier's and no errors on our orders so hopefully this is a sign of good changes.

They are finally back open for business. They were renovating it something. I didn't ever see any notice for health violation. I'm a fan of this fast food key most other health wise. The chicken is good.

The El Pollo Loco in Paso Robles just opened again after an unforseen incident, and I am thankful!! This location has the most incredible team, awesome food cooked perfectly and is so clean, you can see yourself in the shine on the counters. Cooked fresh and with a smile and friendly service. I find myself wanting to go back everyday. ( Don't miss out on this one, conveniently located off hwy 101 going north, take the Main St exit and turn left over the hwy. Southbound? Stopped in on my trip for a Taco and salad and was happy to see the place was clean and inviting. The service was great and the food was delicious!! I love the side salad; it's crisp lettuce and the tortilla chip pieces with the crumbled cheese is perfect with the creamy cilantro dressing, I always order an extra side of dressing because it's so good. I ordered an Avocado chicken street taco and it was delish as well. Very nice staff!! TY

The food is pretty good, although the tortillas are microwaved and make them less enjoyable. The agua de horchata is pretty good. It's a decent imitation of Mexican food.

We love El Polo Loco for fast, fresh Mexican style food. There is always the chicken, but we also love the shrimp which is a little spicy. The food is a bit more than you would pay for at someplace like a fast food burger place, but everything is fresh healthy and delicious and with the coupons that we get in the mail or online, the food is at a great price!

I ordered and had it delivered through DoorDash so it was a little more pricey than the in store menu. Surprisingly, I had my food within 35 minutes. I ordered a regular salad which was OK but they forgot to put the cilantro dressing on it. I ordered a four piece chicken which is probably the best I’ve had in quite a while from any El polo Loco. The corn tortillas were barely warm so they fell apart soon as I picked them up. Even with a couple shortcomings when I’m in the area I would try this store again.

Ordering hax gone automated and digital. For non tech people this will be hard for inside ordering. The salsa bar waz gone...assume due to people and germ control. Building interior space nice but needed cleaning attention when we were there.

The chicken is pretty good but on the pricey side. It is okay for once in a while, like every 9 years or so. I like the 4 piece meal. I usually skip the sides because they usually have been sitting around all day on a steam table. I am not a fan of mushy veggies. Just go for the chicken.

We ordered the chicken dinners to go and we were not disappointed! The chicken tasted fresh! It was juicy and flavorful! The sides were fresh and made to order. They were out of potatoes and gravy so we order macaroni and cheese. It was so yummy! We stopped going to Pollo Loco for a while because the chicken was dry and tasteless. They must be under new management or something because it is not the same restaurant. It's 100 percent better! Give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

My son loves fried chicken, but it turns out he looooves the fire grilled/roasted chicken as well. Also great if you're on a budget....like the small Loco Salad with cilantro dressing (and I'm not a fan of cilantro), and a BRC (beans, rice & cheese) burrito. Burrito and salad are $2+/- each. Make sure you check your special order before you leave. They tend to get it wrong half of the time, but I still love going there..

Always good food but this time it was burnt on the bottoms of almost all the 16 pieces we had gotten. It was dinner and a sad one but hopefully next time it will not be so burnt.

I love El Pollo Loco. However, they seem to have a frequent turn around of employees. The food is almost always good, but this store lacks consistency in portions and ingredients or how something is made. For example the chicken bos: sometimes the same bowl is made with black beans one time a d pinto beans the next time. Sometimes the same bowl will hsve 4 or 5 bites if chicken ir sometimes the chicken is piled on. I can never finish it all anyway, but for the cost I want it to be worth it. For picky people, I can see there being problems getting their food one way az nd reordering the same thing only to receive something different than expected. Overall I like their food, but for what it cost they should be more efficient.

Our taco salads were not full of beans, and rice. More salad than the other products. They forgot our churros that we ordered. Had to ask 3 times and then still waited. Quesadillas. Were terrible. They didn't even get eaten.

We dropped the car at the repair shop & decided to get lunch here . I ordered 2 tostadas & the young lady at the register kept saying ,,2 salads “! It took awhile until she got it right . Next day after we picked up the car, decided to take 2 salads to go for later . The cashier was a different one from the previous day . Later on when we opened the bag ,SURPRISE !!!! We got 2 soggy tostadas . Impossible to eat . I do not know what the problem is that they can not get the order right !

First of all, I ordered the chicken avocado tacos and they are delicious. Love the fresh corn tortillas. My tacos appeared a mess, but they tasted great and I modified them and that was done correctly so props! My issue is with the kid’s meal. The signage in the drive-thru no longer has a price for the kids’ meals. I ordered the chicken bowl for my 3-year-old, assuming the pricing would be in the $4 range. I asked for milk as his drink choice and was told the soda fountain drinks were the only option. Isn’t there a law that says you have to offer healthy options for kids’ drinks?? So I asked if I could do the meal without a drink and was told yes. My total was $18. I thought for sure they messed it up as I got 2 tacos for me ($8), a churro order ($2) and the kid’s meal without a drink. Surely the kids meal wasn’t close to $7! I inquired at the window and was told it was $6.99 without a drink. FOR A KID’S MEAL! AT A FAST FOOD RESTAURANT! That is beyond outrageous. THEN! I see there is a chicken bowl special that comes with chips AND a drink for $5!! If the correct pricing for the kid’s meal had been displayed at the ordering menu, I would’ve known to order the special, where I get WAY more for $2 less. But it was too late at that point. Frustrating! Angering! Crazy! I can get a WAY better kid’s chicken bowl (with choice of beans and cheese) at Rubio’s Restaurant for cheaper and it comes with a [healthy] drink and TWO SIDES! Come on, El Pollo Loco, price your kid’s meals fairer, offer low-fat milk as a drink option, advertise your prices correctly on the drive-thru menus, and consider your competitors’ pricing. $7-$8 for a KID’S MEAL that I’m sure costs about $2 at most to produce is unethical.

I placed my order and went to the ladies room. When I came back I got my salsa and waited at my table. 15 minutes went by and they didn't have my food ready. This was 9 at night and I was the only customer inside the dining room. Other customers followed 5 minutes after me and when I went to the counter their food is being prepared but not mine. I had to give them my receipt in order to get my order 20 minutes after I paid for it. I love this Pollo Loco but I am disappointed at tonight's service.

The flavors blend nicely on each dish. Went thru 2x and each time the char on the chicken was too much. Overdone & crunchy. No fun to eat. That's the reason for 3 stars.

Over the years I used to come here for the salad bar, but they took that away now when I order the chicken, it’s not as much meat as it used to be. I’ve came a few times just to see if it was me and I got a small piece, but it turns out if you really want enough chicken you gotta order a whole chicken

Good food, terrible customer service. We ordered online and on arrival had to wait 30 minutes. Stuff happens of course but the women taking orders simply didn't care. When I complained she simple said "I didn't ask you to wait". So just hope your food is ready on time because otherwise they are just not interested. Shrimp tostada was great btw.

I've gone here most of my life and always loved it. Last few times I've gone, however (specifically in the last few months), the dining area has always been extremely dirty and messy. We are normally one of the only people eating in the dining area and do not go at busy times. May be a staffing issue (which I can be empathetic for), but it was definitely not a pleasant experience. Food is always fantastic, though!

Order the two-piece order and was very disappointed. Side orders were cold not even warmed up a little. Needless to say the only thing I ate that was semi-warm chicken. very disappointing to say the least .

Chicken was dry... after being on the road for a few hours pollo loco sounded good but this time it was disappointing.. i notice they had a lot of chicken over the grilling racks which explains why its dry.. the restaurant wasnt busy at all no point on all that chicken being there...

I had never tried their food before and gave it a shot, the sides were good but the chicken was ok at best and for the $ spent there are much better places to eat. Won't be going back again.

The restaurant smells of the restroom deodorizer! Really gross when you try to eat and it tastes like the deodorizer. Cashier is not friendly. The Mexican rice tasted like orange juice. The chicken is very gamy.

Imma get this place 🌟🌟 stars and it's only because the Birra tacos 🌮.. when you come to this location in Templeton which is between Paso Robles Atascadero you're going to wait a long time and when you finally do get to the registore and even the drive-thru also has the same issue.. you'll be green with bad attitudes. All the workers got bad attitudes 🤦‍♀️and don't you dare come after 8:30 even though it doesn't close till 9:00 cuz you're really going to attitude🙎🏽‍♂️ need to hire more people they need to quit short changing people's orders ❌and most of all they need to change the attitude especially the guy that works in the evening with a beard and glasses I don't know how you work around food and you got to be or you supposed to have a beard cover up anyways ❌

We went to this location as we were traveling through. Food was ok for the most part. My chicken wasn't cooked all the way through, but everyone else's seemed fine (writing this review 24 hours later and nobody got sick), restaurant was pretty dirty. Sticky floors throughout, bathrooms were not cleaned (resembled a gas station bathroom) but they did have soap and appropriate signage for employees. The managers & supervisors did their job well but one employee there was very rude to my wife when she requested the dressing that was supposed to come with her salad (I witnessed it). When I spoke to the employee in English (just requesting the dressing), she was rude to me and refused to give it to us. When I changed the language and spoke to her in fluent Spanish, she was surprised and gave us what we asked for but I could tell she was still very reluctant. I was nice about it and was sure to thank her for her extra effort and "generosity" but all that fuss over a couple oz of cilantro dressing that was supposed to be included with a salad? Not worth it. We won't be stopping there again.

Haven't been to an El Pollo Loco in ages. The food was surprisingly good at first, but somehow the flavor seemed to diminish with each bite. The last bite was kinda bland. Meanwhile, the service was not good at this location. The drive thru was slow, they gave us mineral water when we had ordered Sprite, they did not give us forks or napkins, and I realized down the road a few miles that they didn't give my credit card back. Good potential here, but I don't think I'll be going back for another age or two.

Stopped for lunch break, waited 20 plus minutes for my food with only a person or 2 in front of me. Really will not be going here again. The burrito I ordered was completely split down the middle but because I opened it in my truck and had spent my entire lunch break waiting on the 2 items I got, I had no time to go back in and get another. Was a mess and was clearly wrapped up after splitting open. Also had to physically remove 2 pieces of unchewable chicken from my mouth that were in burrito. Terrible experience. Go anywhere but here, seriously.

This was on a drive-through order went through added extra things that are not on the menu such as I wanted a side of cilantro and onions after I left, I looked in the bag and there was no cilantro and onions. I was at the store next-door so I just came back and got them went to the drive-through. They gave them to me no problem then I got all the way home and my wife asked me why didn’t you get any chips? I go I ordered them. I totally forgot when I looked in the bag so I didn’t get the chips. I ordered two tostadas one tostada shell looks OK. The other one looks burnt very dark like it was left in oil too long have not even touched it yet. Probably won’t go to the drive-through again just go into the store and double check everything before I leave kind of disappointing cause we do like the food.

The chicken was not cook thoroughly, the drive thru woman would not let me use both coupons when it said on the coupon to use with the other coupon...totally refused argued with me rude...shouldn't be working there...for shame! Will Not Be Going Back! She should be FIRED!

My mom and I both got horrible food poisoning last night from the avocado chicken tacos. We were both up all night with vertigo, a headache, uncontrollable shivering, abdominal cramping, diarrhea, and vomiting. We are absolutely positive it was the tacos that made us sick because we ate them for dinner and started getting sick 2 or 3 hours after eating them. We didn’t get to eat lunch and had had breakfast early in the morning. It was definitely those disgusting tacos. They didn’t taste very good either. I’m never eating at El Pollo Loco again.

The worst El Pollo Loco ever! The chicken looks like they are cooking baby Cornish Game Hens! The leg in the 2 piece combo wasn't even a whole leg..the chicken in the tosado was all dried out. This is the 3rd and last trip to this location. We eat at other locations and have not experienced this problem this bad. The manager is the one that waited on me and I specifically ask about the size of the drum sticks and the freshness..very disappointed in the food.

I like the food but I was treated in a hostile and belligerent manner by the manager ( Annabell) cause I simply asked the cashier how she arrived at $15.73 total price when I used 2 $5 coupons , so the total should've been $ 10.00 plus tax which wouldn't add up to $15.73. I thought there was a mistake there , the manager came huffing and buffing at me in a hostile, threatening and just straight out yelling at me , so I told her to lower her voice and watch her tone when talking to me as it was unacceptable. She should be fired cause the next time I get treated like that for no reason at all as I have the right to know what I'm paying for, I LL get my attorney involved. Corporate needs to review camera between 6:45 p.m and 6:55 p.m to grasp the magnitude and the tremendous potential for future lawsuits due to this managers hostile behavior, I thought I was dealing with a gang member ( I'm not kidding here). Watch the camera.

This rating is sooo low because their service is sooo slooooww. It's ESPECIALLY frustrating when you're waiting and waiting because they prioritize the drive thru customers first & you watch all this food go out the window. It's always super slow service inside, and I always forget!

The staff here seems to always have a bad attitude. The food is pretty good usually but the consistency needs work. Everything seems to take a long time here.

Ignorance is rampid... Late 40s/50s lady at the register likes to blame customers for her issues and mishaps. She did it to 3 consecutive people in line today. I don't think she got 1 order correct. I left when she tried to tell me about the app and how to get the free entree. False advertisement and ignorance. If they are ignorant with words, how about cleanliness?? Assistant manager was worthless, too. Never again....

Employees were very rude and inconsiderate and racist. I walked in there to try order some food and they employees were all in the kitchen staring at me. Did not attend to me and I stood there for almost 5 minutes. They all need to take a training about good consumer services.

Within an hour before closing, severed the lasted items that were cooked early..Was not freshly cooked to order. Food that was cooked hours ago..It tasted old. About $15.00 worth of food. I returned back to the restaurant for a full refund..no problem..another worth do not wait an hour before closing.....

I think they should clean their store up it was not clean there were chicken bones at the entrance bathrooms were dirty, food was overcooked, used to be a very good place to eat this was eight years ago! This place has just become fast food. This is in Paso Robles Shopping Center adjacent to El Camino Real.

This place is the worst they usually give salsas and ranch when you order a tostada salad not here I was all the way home 10 miles away when I noticed they didn't put anything in bag no forks nothing just the food and the kids working there where all laughing like they where high. Food was cold and tasted half cooked didn't even eat my dinner won't be going back there

They failed to put in my order in the drivethru so after waiting an already long line I had to wait another 15 minutes for them to figure it out. None of the employees would talk to me long enough to get my correct order either which added to the wait and confusion. When I finally did get my order the staff looked annoyed at ME and the chicken they gave us was burnt on one side and hardly cooked on the other. Horrible experience and at no time did they apologize for the mix up. They instead got mad at me. Will not be returning.

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Do not go in to eat, the staff is immature and has not been properly trained. The very young girl was too busy talking to another immature employee about a customer who was in the restaurant. I waited 2 minutes for her to help me. She didn't know how to enter the food order into the register. I just wanted a bean burrito, plain with chicken inside it, for a 4 year old and she said I had to order the whole kids combo and the chicken would be on the side. I ended up leaving. If you must go, go through the drive through, the drive through workers seem to be more competent but that takes a while too.

Since day one it’s The worst service they give us every time we pass to eat here. From managers to employees they have the worst service and attitude when we are going to order… and when we ask for salsas or anything else they get mad and throw things and then give us there back . Service and food were absolutely terrible. We (my four kids and I) waited in the drive-thru line, at the speaker box, for 15 mins before somebody took our order. There were two cars in front of me and a few behind me, or else I would have left. The employees were all over the place when we got to the window-Didn't know which order was ours and they couldn't figure out how to charge me for a side a barria....The food equaled the service we got. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration and head somewhere else.

I was the first customer. Seems like everything would be ready when the doors open. The order counter was filthy with dried liquids of different colors. The dining area had dirty tables, broken tables with filthy napkins underneath the legs to make them balanced. There were still cleaning the drink fountain nozzles (sitting on the counter, soaking). There was still no salt when I left at 10:30am. I wasn't even greeted when I ordered, so I wasn't sure if she was even ready to take my order. Won't be back, because if the dining area is this dirty, the order counter, that filthy, how clean is the kitchen?

I am sad. I spent $16 for a double tostada. I know I'm lame asking for no lettuce, no salsa, no cilantro. But I got no Avacado and very little chicken. Also, the desk lady rolled her eyes at me and literally threw my food in the bag. I am sad, the flavors are great but my meal was NOT worth what I paid. Do I continue to go knowing I consistently receive that type of service, or do I just not get the food from there anymore?
