The food was amazing burger super good. The sauce is good.
Service was good. Went for half price shakes and they did not disappoint. Smalls are more than enough for one person.
Okay I’ve had bad experiences in the past with sonic but let me tell you… I had to delete my old, low review because there is one woman who works at sonic who DESERVES the 5 stars. Reyna or Rayna? However you spell it, she is on fire. She is always on top of it, working her butt off, and is so friendly and helpful. She tells us to watch for the rewards and helps us save. We literally (shamefully) go there everyday, mostly for the Coke Zero (I’m pregnant, can you blame me?) and we see her almost everyday and she is so awesome. The food is normally hot and good, the Coke Zero at sonic is top tier, but the service we’ve always gotten from Reyna has been amazing. She needs a raise or something, seriously.
Edit. Employees still exceptionally nice. Store policy is not. We waited trapped for 25 minutes for one small tots to celebrate tots day. Couldn't escape cos there were folks behind us and employee could not park the folks in front of us [They had a GIANT order] because of "complaints"?. Your establishment is constructed to accommodate parking. Surely you can find a better way. Again, employees were on it and friendly. Nothing to do with them. Drive thru folks are so nnniiiccceee. Diet cherry lime is bomb.
Stopped by on our way home from Shaver Lake..had to move the car 3 times to find a working drive up. Once we got one that worked the lady on the other end was rude and kept saying “I can’t hear you!” I shouldn’t have to turn my car off and shout to place an order in the 100 degree heat. It was 10:23am and we wanted breakfast and were told “you’ll have to wait 15 extra minutes for breakfast items” your site says you serve breakfast from 6am - midnight 🥴🤦♂️. Iced coffee drink was terrible & tasted like coffee that’s been sitting for hours, they didn’t have a green apple slush anymore, the eggs were burnt on our breakfast burritos, the French toast sticks were over cooked, and the tater tots were pure salt! Definitely a disappointment as we only stop for sonics once a year since they’re not anywhere in ventura county yet. The location is definitely run down as other reviews say and seemed to be very understaffed. Don’t think we will be back by this location again.
Dirty and not up to snuff for the Sonic brand of quality. Whatever you decide to do, don't park in stall 6 as the screen doesn't work. But that is better than stall 7, which has no screen at all! Restaurant seems to be understaffed but one might not fault the owners because the place isn't lit well at night and people might think they're closed. I expect that they will be closed soon enough, if proper changes aren't made. Staff is hit or miss with the attitude displayed. Some are polite and some are just rude. I probably will find another burger joint to eat at, in the future. You just don't have to put up with the lack of quality here.
The absolute worst Sonic experience ever! The customer service was good. That is one thing that is your saving grace. The other being your ice cream treats. Those are/were the "highlights". First off, the appearance of this restaurant is that of a business that has gone under. Its abhorrent. Its dirty, overgrown, dilapidated, and unappealing. That should've been the tip off. Secondly, there is no pride taken anywhere in this place. Whether in the facade, customer service, or the quality. Lastly, the food (which you should be known for) was terrible! Overcooked cheeseburger doused in mayonnaise, probably to mask the over-cooked meat, cold soft tots, and a discolored hot dog. The dog looked as if it had been heated, put back in the cooler, and reheated for the next days meal. We ordered a "PLAIN" hot dog. We got a Chili Cheese Dog. Now, you may think, "Wow, score!" No! We ordered the SIMPLEST of items. Not another car behind us in the drive thru or other patrons in the stalls. Just us. And, they couldn't get that right! Now you can serve lousy food and have great service or have great food with lousy service, but to toe the line with both terrible food and sub-standard service? No. I absolutely will not be going back for food. I question if the ice cream treats are even worth it. I cant be fully certain that the inside of the premises is much cleaner than the outside! I gave it a chance because I happen to really enjoy Sonic burgers, tots, and drinks. However, I can get higher quality food, drinks, and ice cream treats at the local mom and pop shops in Sanger. How is this place passing a D.M. check? Shame on the franchise owner. This is all on you.
I placed the mobile order at 9 PM two days ago and I picked it up at 9:20 only for the lady to tell me they’re sold out of smash burgers so the next day after work I came back trying to see if I could get my Smashburger and it was the same lady telling me she denied my order because she had already cleaned the grill one hour before closure and refused to help me with being reimbursed with either my food or money all well-being very rude I will make it my mission to get some type of reimbursement from you guys
My husband ordered tonight, about 8:40pm. Apparently they don’t honor online orders after 8:30pm even though their website says they close at 10:00pm. No wonder they’re never busy at this location, the workers don’t want to work. Instead I was met with, “just request a refund through the app”.
I should have tuned around and walked out. The place definitely needs a deep cleaning. Dusty cob webs, Greasy finger prints on the walls and light switches. TV’s that don’t work and are all smudged up. Tape left on the walls and counters. Dirty bathrooms and the list goes on. Service was very slow because there was only one person working. I give here props. She was trying to take care of everything but it’s just to much for one person. Food was bad. I left with a stomachache. Sorry Sonic for the bad review. But this store needs help!
Can even go inside. And i'm sorry , but the food is not good quality. Got a chili dog the bread's completely broken apart and the hot dog is grey bro eww 😑
Very bad experience every single time. Every time I have tried to buy food at this location I have never been able to actually order. The first time they ran out of hamburger buns so I couldn’t order what I wanted. The second time they were only accepting cash and I only had my debit card. The third time I was actually refused service because I didn’t have my i.d. when I tried to use my debit card to pay. The employee there is also very unwelcoming and rude. They should hire new people to work there.
I forgot to order a drink, just a drink and I was told I had to drive back through the drive thru and wait in line again. Then when I got my blast I ordered it was not mixed, all the candy was on top and nothing after that. This location has gotten worse and worse over the years and I will probably not go back, considering a drink is now $4 and a small blast is $6
This place looks like it should be a goodwill or a foster freeze. The waiting time is ridiculous. Looks like there is only one worker. She is the server, cashier, and cook. Literally watch her make multiple orders as we waited 20 + mins in a drive thru to help her local community. Five stars to the lady with the Trevor tattoo on her forearm. She needs every deserving raise. Such a shame Sonic is running an establishment in the manner. Where are your workers? Surely you guys take surveys for your employees mental health and wellness. Why is this location being caged and pummeled. How can I be satisfied if I see the entirety of the location locked up and abandoned. Only allowing drive thru only and is well seen and known because it’s on every wall, door, and window. Please find some labor hours, no right company should have just one worker doing a 5 person load job. Hats off to you miss, Sanger Ca should be fighting for you. And Sonic should be embarrassed making you work above and beyond when you should have the proper team. I can only imagine her California Paid break limitations. Do better Sonic.
Wouldn't allow my autistic daughter to use the restroom which is included in California Health and Safety Code, Division 104, Part 15, Chapter 2, Article 6, Section 118700, the Restroom Access Act which she falls under . And was dismissed by the workers onsite dispite having provided a valid notice information short little Mexican girl don't want to drop any names with full figures white women manager on site. The service worker had an attitude like no other and over all staff has no awareness of laws or codes or any customer service skills. Worst customer care and worst wait times go support a local company that has decent quality customer service
Ordered 5 dbl cheeseburgers for the family. Had 3 custom bc of my kids. One burger was to be no mustard and add lettuce. We got the burger with tomatoes, onions and mustard only (no lettuce, no ketchup). I suspect they didn't appreciate the custom orders and did this on purpose. Will avoid eating here in future.
I dont even ever want to come back here again. The only good thing that I can say about this place is that the food has come out good every time, except for today. I ordered a butterfinger blast. I received a cup of vanilla ice cream with fat globs of tough chewy butterfinger, instead of crunchy butterfinger pieces. Not sure how that happened. The wait time is AWFUL. I was sitting at the drive-through speaker for a few minutes before even hearing anything from one of the employees. I heard this younger boy say hello? So I responded back, and he asked, is this the stall? and I was like no this is the drive-through. and he was just like okay what’s your order. He just sounded so rude and like maybe he didn’t know what he was doing because he’s new or something, but you don’t have to talk to me like that. The quality of the speakers suck in the drive-through, but especially in the stalls. So anyway I placed my order and I was the 2nd car in line from the window where they hand you your food. The person in front of me was waiting for so long, after about 10 minutes they just drove away. So I went up to the window and the younger guy was like, oh what did you order? So I let him know what I had ordered, and he told me my total and I paid for it. Got my drink then waited longer for food, while two or three different times he came up to the window to ask me what was your order? Every time ive ever gone to this location they only have like one or two people working in there. I won’t blame the employees themselves for being understaffed, just the people who are in charge of hiring and firing and making the schedules because you guys seriously need more people there at any given time.
I went there for the butterfinger blast which I’ve ordered 100 times they brought it out. It was half the size charge me full price for a medium, but yet gave me a small one when I said something they said all that’s the size that they are. And very rude. Then they lost my bank they gave me the blast. But not my card and when I said hey you never gave me the card back they said yes we did. And argued with me about it. They oh wait here it is. 5 minutes later. This place is going to go out of business
Tried to make a stop on our way home and eat in. There was a "wet floor" sign and a lot of water on the floor, plus a strong bleach odor, which seemed weird. But, since the place was otherwise open, we got in to the counter and started deciding what to have. After a few minutes, a really rude lady came out and screamed at us that we shouldn't be there and that there was a wet floor sign at the door. Since when does "wet floor" mean "do not enter"? If you don't want people to enter, post a sign stating precisely that. And even if you had done that, you can show some professionalism and manners, and explain yourself politely. A family with two kids isn't breaking "the law according to you" just because it's fun. It costs you nothing to treat customers right even if they have made a mistake (which to be crystal clear, we hadn't). So anyway, no problem: we drove to the Burger King on the other side of the road, where we got excellent treatment from the staff and the quick meal we were looking for. Your loss.
Today will be the last day I ever go to this sonic, I’ll stick to the clovis locations instead or something local in town. The lady at the window was rude, no customer service whatsoever. The food was also disgusting grilled cheese 2/10 barley edible I recommend the foster freeze a street a up ahead, not only is food better staff there are never rude. Not to mention y’all should probably think about putting up a sign that you won’t take 100$ bills by the intercom or something and just expect for customers to just know just to catch some attitude for not knowing and not having a different payment method. And yes I will be escalating this up.
