There is a great salad bar. There are many dinner choices and daily specials the waiter will tell you.

We went on a Monday night so it wasn’t busy, but the food and service was great! We got the pretzel appetizer, I got wings and the soup of the day (tomato bisque) and my husband got the cowboy burger We’ll definitely be back!

Had a great lunch here. Portions were very good and the server was friendly and attentive. So happy to have a new choice in town!

Had an amazing time, went for the food and live music. The food was great, but the service was a little slow. That might be because we were outside where the band was. Harmonic Duo was fantastic, and I'd recommend going to listen to them, as they cover all your favorites from the 60's forward!! Both country and western, they cover it all!! 10/10!! I'd love to return...

Me and my husband stopped in this afternoon for lunch and all we can say is WOW! Food was delicious, and fast. Restaurant is clean. Our waitress Sarah was phenomenal, and very fast paced. Only server on and she didn’t miss a single thing all around! She recommended the Brisket, and it’s the best we have had! Will be returning!

Greeted immediately by a pleasant hostess who promptly seated us and took our drink order. When drinks were served, she took our order. Checked in during meal to see if anything was needed. Overall good experience.

Wednesday night. Service was quick and friendly all around. We ordered steak and a burger. They both came out exactly how we requested and they were very good. Fries, corn on the cob, and baked potato or also very good. Salad bar was fresh and clean.

First time here, visiting friends in from South Carolina. Found Outpost 40 on the internet. Wow! What a delightful surprise! Mushroom Swiss cheese burger and fries were cooked to perfection. Server was so cordial and she was entertaining.

The food and drinks were great and the staff was Amazing! My waitress provided excellent service checking in several times bringing us drinks and even offering up the salad bar and some dinner rolls why waiting. I enjoyed my experience and I know they will work out the little kinks that come along with opening a new business. Happy to have and support another business in our town. I’ll definitely be returning thanks for a great experience. Outpost 40!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We stopped at Outpost 40 while camping nearby and were so glad we did! It’s only been open a few weeks but already has such a great vibe—super clean, cozy inside with really cute decor, and the food was genuinely good. The BBQ was flavorful, the service was friendly, and everything came out fast and hot (even with kids in tow). It’s the perfect kind of upstate NY spot—laid back but thoughtful. Definitely feels like a place that will become a local favorite. We’ll be back next time we’re in the area—and rooting for them to take off. Give it a try if you’re nearby!

Stopped Sunday for father's day just as they went from flat to fluffy. They got slammed just as we sat down. Jenna took good care of us at the bar, and we had a nice chat with the owner Haley. We ordered two entrees, and yes, we knew it would take a while with the crowd that was there. We were content to sip on a beverage, take in the scenery, and chat with the staff. Jenna kept checking on the kitchen for our food, but we kept telling her we were in no hurry. With that said, we saw a few people leave in a huff as the service wasn't up to their standards. My suggestion to them is, stick with the drive-thru at McDonalds if you want your food in three minutes. We were very happy with the service, and the food as well. They were out of one item on the salad bar, and when I mentioned it, they replaced it in a jiffy. We saw no one standing around, and all of the staff was run ragged. It's a little bit of a drive for us, but we'll be back sooner and not later. I hope business continues to be good for them.

A secret gem buried in an obscure village. The food here is great. The owner is very involved, in a good way, on everything going on here. Definitely worth a drive.

We stopped in at Outpost 40 last night especially for the Brisket, for time with good friends, and for the live music. After we finished a delicious meal inside (with our entrees came an excellent salad bar btw), we then went outside and enjoyed live music for 3 hours! The band was AMAZING! We can’t wait to hit this place up again… especially with every Friday night in August hosting live music! The band was fully engaged with the crowd… and there was a cozy firepit, cornhole, and dancing. Some people even brought camp chairs to enjoy the outdoor live music! Overall, the atmosphere was welcoming, we enjoyed our food, and the staff was diligent. There were a whole lot of people for a Friday night… so the kitchen was working overtime! We were happy to wait a little longer for our food… and our waiter even surprised us with an app to keep us happy! We will be going back and would definitely recommend!👨‍🍳🎤💃

The were slammed and the chef came out to take our drink order and the waitress we had was amazing with the two kids at the table. Super down to earth. We had no idea the restaurant was there but after a long few hours at a monster truck event, eating and meeting the staff was great. They didn’t kick up a fuss when the boys were playing with their new monster trucks and our waitress apologized for the long drink wait and had no problem with changing my order to something a little simpler. We loved everything and we plan to eat in soon. I hope this place sticks around. I won't have to drive all the way to Clifton Park for a good steak.

Great atmosphere. The food is good. I had the loaded baked potato skins with pulled pork. The pulled pork was very good.

Wonderfull turkey club and a cob salad. draft was cold. The tv needs a sound bar. Our waitress did a fine job being new and almost alone on the floor. Tipped her well.

My husband and I stopped here a week or two ago, during their soft opening period and the people were very nice! I liked the hometown feel and loved the fact one of the cooks (the owner's dad) came out and said hello to everyone. We weren't in a hurry at all and enjoyed learning a little bit about them. The food was very good, the service was just a little bit on the slow side but they weren't yet fully staffed yet either. Looking forward to them being around for many years! Nice to have a new option in our town.

Its expensive for what you get. All the food we got felt $2 to $4 over priced. It wasn't bad, just a bit more expensive than food of the same type and quality somewhere else. For example 4 fried cheese sticks, they were good, was 13.95, like 3.25 per stick. If I told you I'd sell you an average fried cheese stick for 3 bucks each you'd call me crazy. So for the 4 of us, it felt like it was maybe 20 bucks too much, then you tip on top of that, so it adds up fast. Not bad at all, just a bit overpriced I thought.

The service was good, food was good there was only one thing I didn't understand why to add chicken to the Alfredo cost $4.00 more than other places charge

We sat outside since we had kids. Didn't have an awful experience but, was seated with just one menu, though there were three adults and untill our server came did not know you could only order from one side of the menu before 4pm. So we ordered a couple of appetizers to wait and order dinner. We had calamari which was pricey and you got a handful, I had the brisket, flavor was good but very dry, and the sweet potato fries were not fully cooled. Kids were not a fan of the fries as they were fishy tasting. Cat fish was good. Was very disappointed, for what we paid will most likely never go back. Our server was very good though, very attentive.

The waiters and staff were all very kind! Our waitress was very attentive to our drink refills. The ambiance of the modern-rustic feel with the wood and black stools were quite nice. The biggest problem we had was with my hamburger, as I ordered it “with only the meat and bun, plain, nothing on it.” They managed to put no toppings on the meat but still put the cheese on it, in which I’m allergic to. I do however appreciate the cook coming out to apologize in the end. The wait for the food was pretty lengthy and it took forever to leave as the waitress took a while to collect our check. She was talking to another staff member at the bar while facing my table. I completely understand they just opened but it was still slightly disappointing to see that mistake of my food. Please note that the entrees are only for dinner, my mom would have loved to try one.

Nice place but wow was the portion small for a pretty pricey appetizer. I order boneless wings and they were small chunks of chicken on a small round plate that were literally enough to call a side. I was hoping for the normal bar portion and im pretty disappointed. $8 would have been reasonable for the portion but $14.00?? Thats way too much . I wont be ordering food here again but the bloody Mary was enjoyable. Also it was $15 which was pricey for Titos vodka . Lesson learned

My wife and I stopped in today for lunch. Although the waitress was nice, the food was horrid. The soda tasted like something cheap. They brough out our "wings" which were nothing more than frozen food and tiny nuggets like you find at the bottom of a bag. 12 pieces for 15 bucks. The Fries were undercooked, the burgers - which were like 17 dollars I think, were not anything to write home about and the rolls were stale. We spent 75 dollars for a horrible experience.

Waitress informed me there wasn't enough to make a drink, was nice enough to to ask if I'd like to try an alternative and I said no was served a glass of iced milk, then ordered water to drink because I didn't ask for a glass of iced milk, as for the quesadilla it was burned black, Husband ordered Bourbon and water and boneless chicken, his drink was excellent the boneless chicken looked like leftover chicken scraps someone thought to battered. Won't be going back. The sad thing was they are cateres, so the signs inside suggest. Way overpriced! Menu not so special for the trip. Someone sunk alot of money into this pit.

I've come here a couple times since they opened. I tried the ribs and they were pretty good. The sides were not, especially the corn on the cob which was inedible. Inedible. I don't understand how someone can serve corn like that. Anyway, I also had chicken parm another time and it was pretty dry and tough. Also very little sauce. My companion had burnt ends and it was drowned in a sweet sauce and was pretty unedible. The wings were large and extra crispy. It's in a very convenient place for me, but I would never go there for the food. Service was good.

I hate leaving bad reviews for new places, but the food was not good. Full bar of drinkers, and probably 10 tables, not packed, but a decent crowd. Food took about an hour: nachos were so underwhelming, especially after this funnel presentation they pulled off at delivery, nachos were very empty, store bought chips and that gold nacho chz, which was cold. Hardly any toppings and pulled pork had no flavor, tasted microwaved. My friend thought their food tasted like deli meat with a pinch of fries on the side (just under $19 for their food)Services was sweet, though. We might be back for drinks but we will skip the over priced subpar food.

Waitress only had one other table before us, and one after us. Waited 15 minutes to have order taken, and another 15 minutes for drinks. Appetizers were good but offset by the fact they had news playing on the jumbo television with images of bloody body bags from the Gaza strip with my 9 year olds watching. Then dinner came....the $24 Mac and cheese with chicken that my kids split came out in two ramekin sized bowls that were so small I could barely believe my eyes. I could have held more food in one of my kid's cupped hand. Our empty waters sat on the table for 30 minutes while the waitress complained about the kitchen staff to her colleague not 6 feet from our table. My wife asked for an espresso Martini at waited for 30 minutes. When we were done with our food (2 hours after being seated with 9 year olds on a school night) we told her to cancel the order and give us the check. When I complained about the size of the order that my kids split for $24, she said "Yeah, that's the price, sorry." We will NOT be going back. Definitely do not recommend.

It was a 16$ for nachos that came with like an entire bag of chips and toppings to barely cover the first layer. The nacho cheese was disgusting, and cold. I added chicken and the few baby pieces of chicken were completely dried out and unedible, and moved to the side of the plate. The waitress while friendly, never came to check on us until we were done. Otherwise I would have sent the nachos back. I did mention to her they were not good. For being the most expensive thing I ordered, pretty disappointing.

Hamburger was previously frozen and so overcooked and burnt

One of if not the worst experiences I have ever had with wait staff. Went received nothing from our waitress we had to walk up to get water and our drinks multiple times. Food came out and was missing my wife’s entree just had three sides one of which we did not order. I understand it was their grand opening but the waitress had no idea what she was doing. I’m going to wait a while before I come back to try again.

Not ready for prime time! Wife and I went in for a burger, beer, Monte Cristo sandwich and a glass of Pino. Waited well over an hour for our meals! Then when our food finally did arrive, my “medium rare” burger came out actually raw inside. Called our waitress (who was running around trying to attend to way too many tables), sent it back. Burger came out about 3 min. later (obviously microwaved). We finished our meal and drinks, called for our check. Just south of $60 with no concession or credits offered for the delay and poor quality. Don’t think we will be back!

Just went there for lunch chicken tenders were so overcooked you couldn’t chew them. The French fries were tasteless my husband got a pulled pork sandwich said it was pretty bland never again we had not even gotten are meal and one of the waitress came over and took all our silverware if there was 0 stars that’s what they would het

Wife and I are local in the area and we were excited to experience the new ownership. Thought we would grab a quick lunch on our way out town.......quick lunch turned into a 2 hr total waiting 45 minutes for a burger and fries and a pulled pork sandwich with fries. Burger was cooked to order. pulled pork was very bland and obviously microwaved so not sure why the wait, as there was only a few people in addition to us. Food finally came out little on the small portion side I would say, missing the BBQ sauce for pulled pork and burger was missing the lettuce. As far as the wait staff not personable at all came to seat us while chewing her food. As mentioned above forgetting some ingredients for our plates, lack of attention to detail. Not to mention I watched as 2 other parties left she picked up the plates from the table then brought out new settings and placed them right back on the table no washing it down or disinfecting or sweeping up from under the table. We did not get a warm welcoming feeling customer service is sub par at best. Also there is only a small menu available before 4 pm not many choices. Will be surprised to see them open for longer than a year if they don't address some issues and get more professional. Best of luck to any and all that venture here hope you have a better experience.

I was high disappointed… Me & my family went there almost 2 weeks ago for the first time. We wanted to wait to go because a lot of people i know have complained about the wait for food & how their food was cooked wrong. We ordered pretzel sticks, cheese burger, ribs & pulled pork nachos. Also paid for the salad bar which is honestly outrageously expensive (almost $19!) We waited an 1:45! To receive our food which is absolutely insane. The fact that we waited that long for 4 things is absurd & the pulled pork nachos was literally a lot of chips w maybe a hand full of pulled pork & same thing with the veggies….. One of the waitresses there was wearing a skirt that was so short that her butt was literally hanging out of it. No one wants to see that especially when trying to eat. You had a few wait staff outside that were very loudly arguing with one another. Our waitress that we had? She was honestly amazing and so apologetic for the wait of our food. Needless to say i wouldn’t recommend eating there, you guys have a lot of work that still needs to be done.

Went earlier this week and it was decent but dead the bartender told us about Friday nights band so I took my son, figured return business would be good. We got there and the dining room wasn't that busy but after waiting 1 hour for a burger and boneless wings still nothing. Waitress did not tell us they were backed up or check other than drinks. I walked out, and by this time the dining room was dead. Terrible customer service and overall disappointing, seems like this location has changed hands a few times and it's more of the same.

We were so disappointed - the waitresses when we sat at the bar were swearing, talking trash , and very rude. Not one was professional- heard every word they said right in front of us. Very inappropriate in front of customers. Too bad- the food was good, but I will never go back.

Servers should be familiar with the WHOLE menu including drinks. Avoid this place. We will never be back.
