What a fun bar! A friend brought me here and I'm glad he did because I'm a fan of tiki drinks. We stopped by during the week so it was slower than usual. The menu had so many great options and even had the usual tiki drinks. I decided to get the four boys and it came out in a rice cooker! So cool! Definitely need to come back and try other items on the menu. Seems like they sell some of the glassware as well if you wanna stock up on cool cups.

Inside Passage is an absolute must stop if you are in Seattle, especially if you love immersive experiences. I have never seen drinks served the way they are here. Calling it a bar almost feels wrong because it is truly a full experience from start to finish. The cocktails alone are worth the visit. Drinks arrive in seashells, custom glassware designed specifically for the restaurant, and even wildly creative vessels that look like custom shipping crates or props pulled straight from a movie set. Every drink delivery feels like a reveal, and you find yourself genuinely excited to see what comes out next. It is imaginative, theatrical, and incredibly fun without feeling gimmicky. The decor inside is stunning. Dark, moody, transportive, and perfectly executed, it feels like stepping into another world. For a tiki bar, the attention to detail is next level and makes the space feel intimate, mysterious, and special. Service was excellent. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and clearly proud of what they are serving, which adds to the overall vibe. The food we tried was just okay, but honestly, that was not the reason we were there. The drinks, atmosphere, and creativity completely carried the experience. This is the kind of place you remember and talk about long after you leave. Even if you just stop in for one drink, it is absolutely worth it. Inside Passage is cool, unique, and unforgettable, and I would go back in a heartbeat just for the experience alone.

We had a wonderful time here! The atmosphere was fantastic and really well done. The drinks were really fun, unique, delicious, and on theme. They were a little expensive, but that's to be expected. Our server was really kind and helpful.

This place is fantastic! Great craft cocktails in gorgeous glasses and tasty small plates. I also have to give a huge shout out to our server, who kept an eye on me and my friend, erring on the side of caution when she wasn't sure if another friend of ours was actually a friend, or just kind of a creeper. I appreciate an aware and attentive staff!

Pirates of the Caribbean meets 20,000 leagues under the sea one of the most incredible bars that I have been to in a very long time. Great customer service and incredible presentation. I would highly recommend it. We will definitely be back.

My group had a really nice time, it was fun exploring their drink menu and trying out their interesting recipes. It’s such a unique experience drinking out of their one of a kind mugs and vessels. Our waitress was really knowledgeable and friendly, as we had multiple questions about specific ingredients and asked for recommendations. It’s a bit of a cramped/smaller bar but the detailed atmosphere makes up for it! While it is on the pricier side ($20-$30/drink) we felt it was worth it to be wowed by the drink presentation especially nowadays you can expect to pay $15* for a drink in a regular glass. Highly recommend making a reservation since like I mentioned it’s a smaller bar that’s sure to have a wait for a walk-in’s. Would definitely come here again!

We had a fantastic time at this Tiki-style spot in Seattle! The atmosphere was vibrant and fun, and our waiter, Alex, truly made the experience memorable. He was attentive, friendly, and offered excellent recommendations that really enhanced our visit. From start to finish, everything was smooth and enjoyable. Can’t wait to come back!

What an amazing spot! My husband and I like to visit a tiki bar when traveling, and this one hits all the marks. After further research we found out that Inside Passage has even done some collabs with our hometown tiki bar in Pittsburgh (Hidden Harbor), which was a great surprise! Also- the Brie wontons are a super yummy addition to the drinks.

Drinks are pricier but worth it. They pull out all the tricks: dry ice, LEDs, super unique containers, etc. And they have the amazing decor to match. I will definitely be back again.

Such a cool vibe — like stepping into a pirate fantasy. The hidden entrance and giant tentacle overhead set the scene, but the cocktails steal the show. Each drink is a creative, sea-themed experience. It's drinks and a show in the best way.

Drinks are delicious, and the staff are fun, friendly, and knowledgeable. Great place for a date, or just a casual meeting. Recommend reservations.

Absolutely delicious, would eat here once a week if we lived closer!!! The Spam Sliders were so delicious!!!! And the Spam Fried Rice was the best I've ever had from a restaurant. And the Brie wontons were a perfect appetizer!! The citrus salad was very tasty as well. The One Eyed Willie and the Camera Shy cocktail didn't disappoint either!

Staff was very nice and we enjoyed our experience!! The drinks were very good and the food as well. I really liked that we were able to make a reservation! Atmosphere was really amazing. Hopefully we will be back soon!

We took our daughter here when she turned 21 because she wanted a fun cocktail to celebrate. The hostess checked all our IDs, acknowledged the birthday, then sat us down. Next thing we know, the staff brought us all complimentary shots to celebrate. The presentation of the drinks was outstanding and the price was fair. My only complaint is there was *maybe* two ounces of liquid under a ton of ice so I didn't get enough to really taste all the flavors listed on the menu. I would have liked some more filler liquid, but the drinks were at least strong. We shared the BBQ sliders and they were so fantastic that I ordered another and ate it solo. The atmosphere is wonderful and the decor is delightful. We did have to make a reservation as it's a small bar room connected to rumba so plan ahead.

Got a reservation with 2 days notice and had a delightful time on a Sunday evening. Drinks were delicious and the presentation is insane! By far one of the best though out presentations we’ve seen. Our server was fantastic and very attentive. I ordered something off menu and the bar tender did an amazing job, I won’t say what it was but it was strong and tasted great! We also ordered an amazombie, a fog cutter, and whatever drink (forgot the name) comes in their signature kraken mug. They were delicious and so much fun to look at. Didn’t look at the food menu because we just came from dinner, but if it’s anything near the drinks I’m sure it’s worth trying! Took home a kraken mug and I’m excited to add it to our collection

This place is so fun!!! Definitely a must see if you are in Seattle. The drinks were pricey but worth it for the experience and showmanship of them. It was like art! We each tried a couple cocktails and they were very tasty. It seems like a busy spot but worth it for sure. The vibe was so fun and the music made you feel like you were really at the beach with a fun cocktail. The service was also good despite how busy they were. I will be back to visit again!

This tiki bar is amazing. From the ambience and vibe to the music to the decor. It was such a unique and cool place to go to for a drink. The drinks are very well made and delicious and very unique as far as presentation goes. We got the I see a light, inside passage, one eyed Willy, Amazombie (very strong with absinthe) and a Saturn. All drinks were very delicious and well made. We didn't get any food so no comments on that. The staff was very nice and attentive and vibing the entire time. The service was great!

What a neat nautical experience! Definitely pricey especially if you want to take something home but this place does NOT MISS on the details! I was really glad to try the drink I had (the punch was very tasty!) And to witness the other themed drinks that others ordered I was a walk up and was seated (at the bar) within 20 minutes. Staff was all friendly and the experience was memorable

One of my all-time favorites. The atmosphere here is top-notch and the cocktails are incredibly imaginative. There was a problem with our reservation and a two-and-a-half-hour waitlist, but they pushed us to the front of the waitlist and got us in almost immediately. I really appreciate this as they totally could have put us at the bottom of the waitlist and told us there was nothing they could do, but instead, they went out of their way to help.

Inside Passage is a fun themed style restaurant. The drinks were super cute. I had a Chi Chi. It came in a pineapple looking vessel. We also had Mai Tai’s. The food is delish. We had Brie Wontons, Kokoda, coconut shrimp and vegan sliders. All really tasty. The staff was nice and friendly. A great experience…. Would come back again.

Inside Passage its a great experience. With cool creative drinks and amazing decor, this little gem is a fantastic stop. The food and service were top notch. It's a little pricey, but worth every penny.

Really fun and unique speakeasy type bar in Capitol Hill! It's not a traditional speakeasy, it's more of a fun and ridiculous tiki bar hidden in Rumba than a regular nice cocktail bar. Definitely go here if you're looking for something more outside the box. The cocktails were awesome. They tasted great and were so fun. The bartenders definitely don't skimp on the pours either. I was expecting the drinks to be overpriced and underpoured but I was pleasantly surprised that for around $22 a drink you got your money's worth. They don't have full entrees on the tiki side but the apps we had were all really good. It's quite dark in the restaurant, but it fits the sort of spooky atmosphere they're going for. Also make sure you make reservations! My only minor gripe is that you only have 90 minutes per table, which seemed a little short. Would have liked an extra half hour.

I really loved the experience here. The look and feel of the place was so funny and lots of intention in the decor. Plus the octopus! The drinks were both delicious and visually fun. It was a great combo of eating with your eyes and your mouth. Definitely recommend

Wonderfully fun little bar inside Rumba. Drinks were strong and good. While limited menu very well made with vegan options. Not a bar to go hangout at for a long time especially since you need a reservation. But I'd say worth experiencing at least once. I'd go again!

This place was theatrical in the best way. Kiki the octopus and the music made this one of my favorite Tiki bars.

This place is definitely spendy but well-worth the price. Every drink is a full presentation and the servers and bartenders are all super nice and clearly passionate about what they do. We had a great date night here and will be back for sure!

Friendly staff. Fun original drinks. Will definitely be back. Tip: If you’re a small party, come to Rumba early (to get on the Inside Passage wait list and taste some delicious rum). 5-stars!

Freaking fantastic cocktail bar! The best experience I've had, the bar decor is stunning and I kept finding new details with every glance. The drinks are astounding in both presentation and taste, the staff are friendly and top notch, overall definitely a must see in Seattle!

Inside Passage is like stepping into another world, part tiki bar, part underwater fantasy. The décor is stunning and fully immersive, with little details everywhere that make the whole place feel magical. The cocktails are creative, fun, and beautifully presented in unique glassware and themed mugs. They’re on the pricier side (around $20–25 each), but you’re paying as much for the experience as the drink itself. Every sip feels like part of the show. Service was excellent, staff were attentive, friendly, and clearly enjoy adding to the atmosphere. Overall, it’s not just a bar, it’s an experience worth checking out at least once. Definitely planning to come back.

Inside Passage is a great spot for creative cocktails and a fun, immersive atmosphere that feels perfect for a night out. Drinks are well-crafted and the service is friendly—prices are on the higher side, but the experience is worth it.

Had a really good time here for my girlfriends birthday! The food was AMAZING (will be thinking about those fried deviled eggs for a while) and the service was excellent. Definitely pricey, but they are upfront about it so wasn't surprised. They even gave my girlfriend a birthday treat which was really sweet. Overall would definitely come back!

Such a fun and kitsch place. Cocktails were great and the service was on point. We had a blast.

The specialty cocktails are very visually fun, but they are like any regular drinks. The service is nice!

This is the kind of cocktail bar you’d completely miss if you didn’t know it was there—a true hidden gem! Located inside Rumba (if I’ve got that right). The decor, complete with glowing octopus tentacles and a mesmerizing underwater vibe, is truly an unforgettable experience. “The Four Boys” (served in a quirky rice cooker) and “The Dinglehopper” (presented with a playful shell-and-ice display) were absolutely massive, both in portion and personality. The flavors were just as bold as their creative presentation, making each drink feel like an adventure. Definitely a must-visit for cocktail lovers who enjoy a side of theatrics!

The experience of an undersea bar was wonderful. We loved the decorations and the creative presentation for the drinks. The drinks were heavily iced and are definitely on the sweet side (more of a novelty cocktail than a craft cocktail). The Brie wontons were amazing! The Bananas Foster wasn’t exactly what we were expecting. Overall, I would say this is a great spot to experience at least once.

This was one of the coolest places I've ever been. The atmosphere was unique, and the staff were very polite and professional. The important thing to get in here is to have a reservation! It opens at 5pm and it is inside another bar/restaurant. We got a great seat in the back with a view of the whole bar. First things first we ordered drinks and the "fried Brei wontons". They were ok, some flavor a little greasy. But if you come here it's for the drinks. They have a full menu of the most amazing craft drinks you may ever have!! I got the "One Eyed Willy". It comes in a treasure chest with its own "fog" and colors. It's a Rum forward drink with hints of vanilla and cinnamon! It is absolutely delicious and the presentation sets the bar Real Real high!! My date ordered "The Inside Passage" their signature drink. It came with dry ice and was presented very well also! Then we both ordered "The Jet Pilot". It was another great Rum drink with many kinds of rum, absinthe and many other flavors! This place is an absolute Must visit in my opinion. The craft cocktails were like stuff I've only seen on TV. I was extremely happy with my visit here and would love to return.

Nice vibe, cool drink presentation, but a bit pricey in my opinion. Personally I like Rumba’s traditional style cocktails better, but if you have friends visiting Seattle the first time here is the place to come! A recommended speak-easy bar in the area.

A cute, tucked away bar within-a-bar with a shipwreck theme. This is a place to go when you want a drink that’s more over the top, with some showmanship. And in that aspect, it does great. It is more expensive and should be considered as a treat above all else. Our only complaint is we were overcharged, and due to poor timing on a Friday night, did not get a copy of our receipt. However some simple math of 5x drinks at $22/ea with tax and a 20% tip does not equal $190.00. It was disappointing that management did not follow up on our request for the ticket. Take a paper receipt and enjoy the theme.

G
Gabi

The bar itself looked very cool and had a great vibe, and the staff were nice and welcoming. Unfortunately, the special drinks were pretty mid — they were packed with so much ice that it was literally spilling out the top, and there was noticeably more ice than actual drink. For the amount we received, the cocktails felt overpriced and not really worth it.

L
Liang Du

TL;DR It’s a cool spot, lively servers but your drinks will be on average $25 each (including well/non specialty drinks), in a large/decorative vessel about 2-4 sips and a pound of ice. Like while you’re taking the first few sips, your straw will make sounds because you’re already hitting air. We spent $200 on 8 drinks, 2 per person. Another thing I found weird was that a 20% surcharge was added to our bill as a line item in the receipt, before tax was calculated at the bottom… that isn’t how businesses usually apply automatic tip to a bill… OK to bring people to visit from out of town but I would not go here again as a local. The volume you get in your cup per dollar is very very little, although I guess it is better than a watered down drink. Didn’t have any of the food but it smelled like it was tasty. No complaints on the service.

S
Samantha McCoy

The experience was definitely fun and so were the drinks! But I feel like the price for the small portion/selection of food was a bit overrated.

O
Orlando de Lange

All the staff were lovely. So they made the experience very welcoming. But the cocktails were not very good. Mostly just boozy syrup. And the decor was not very well done. The lights were too bright and the whole experience was more chain restaurant than high end cocktail bar.

A
Andrew Forcier

The atmosphere and decor are phenomenal, the drinks and service are great, but the food is decidedly mediocre. In particular, the jerk chicken I was served was supposed to be a leg and thigh, but with the leg I received two barely distinguishable chunks of 'meat' with barely any flesh to consume on them. Come for the drinks, leave for the food.

P
Praval Jain

This is strictly based on the drinks we ordered. If you care about the food/drinks, this is not the place. The vibe checks out tho. The decor and the setup is unique and one would not have seen something like it before. Same goes for the drinks, you would not have had drinks like this before. They are super sweet and super bitter at the same time. The drinks taste super sweet and the after taste is horribly bitter. This comes from someone who sips on neat tequila and bourbon. The presentation of their menu items is a 10/10! One should absolutely visit once for experience. Visiting twice might not be recommended!

I
Israel J

Super awesome place!! Unfortunately hampered by a few problems. Got 3 drinks, the oyster shooter was absolutely fantastic and the other two were just okay. Ice is great but they do go overboard here. The staff is great and the small appetizer I ordered was also wonderful. The 20% surcharge here is the biggest issue. The drinks will run you 30+ dollars/drink with this practice. If the drinks were cheaper it wouldn’t be a problem but they are pricy to start, even compared to most other tiki bars. Actually come to think of it, this is the most expensive tiki bars among the five others I have visited in the PNW and that is before the additional 20% markup. The glassware will run you 85 - 115 bucks from the menu prices but guess what? An additional 20% is also tacked on the these tiki mugs even though they are literally taken from the shelf and handed to you. This means that a tiki mug here will run you 102 - 138 dollars a mug before tax. Same with shirts, magnets, etc. Strange business model that doesn’t necessarily affect the tourist cash flow absolutely without a doubt deters locals from frequenting.

Emily White

We were visiting Seattle and love going to local tiki bars every city we’re in.. Really beautiful place, food was decent and drinks are cool but the service here was not good. Both bartenders were not very friendly and one snapped on us for setting an empty glass on the bar mat.. you know where dirty drinks usually go.. he literally looked at us and goes “people ALWAYS do this” ruined the whole vibe. Put up a sign if it’s that big of a deal?? We were preparing to spend a lot more money there but left after 1 round.. I wouldn’t recommend, I expect warm and welcoming service especially with the price of tiki drinks.

I recently traveled to Seattle on a business trip from Atlanta with my colleagues, and we were seeking a pleasant place to unwind after work. After some research, we decided to visit this establishment but were ultimately very disappointed. Firstly, they were unable to accommodate our entire party due to a strict policy of no groups larger than six. If you are planning to dine with a larger group, I recommend looking elsewhere. When I ordered a Long Island Iced Tea--a basic cocktail--the bartender informed me it would cost $30 because it contained premium liquor. This is quite surprising, as in Atlanta, the same drink with premium ingredients typically costs between $10 and $15. Additionally, when I ordered a Hurricane, it was filled with ice, as were the drinks of my colleagues. The excessive ice significantly reduced the amount of actual beverage, making it poor value for money. The service we received was subpar. The waitress was notably rude, lacking the hospitality I am accustomed to in the South. She even slammed my drink down on the table, which I found unnecessary and unprofessional. Based on this experience, I do not plan to return and would advise others to consider alternative venues.

K
Kami Kaze

the vibe was great and the food was phenomenal, but the service was awful. Our waiter seemed drunk and messed up our order. Another waiter claimed, ‘This is what I have on the list,’ but we know it was busy and tried to be understanding. Still, being drunk on the job is unacceptable. They also added a 20% ‘business tip’ that didn’t include the actual tip, which is crazy. I’ve been here before and never got charged that, so I don’t know what changed. Overall, the service really sucked. LOOOLLL

t
trudy stema

Dinks were way overpriced for what you got. Went in thinking they had craft cocktails but it was all show and no substance. You pay for decorated ice basically. Waiter was quick to try to take menus and not let us order food had to remind him we wanted to order and to give us glasses for the water.

S
Samuel Gonzalez

Be ready to pay a 20% “service fee” that does not go to the server/bartender. Our server was terrible, we had to look for her every time and we ended up getting a different server to check out. Server never checked on us after getting our food, we had no forks, napkins, or water. She didn’t even offered us a second drink. What a waste of a cool concept to be ruined by that female server.
