A place I will always come back to! The food alone would be worth it; from the homemade pasta and pizza, the smell of focaccia when I wake up, to the gelato on the beach in the afternoon. But! For me it is the people the hospitality and warmth when I get there and how it truly feels like home on the beach. The attention to detail in the food carries over into the hotel itself, each room is perfectly decorated (I know because I’ve been back so much I’ve stayed in almost every single one!) to have a taste of Italy, the charm of the hotel, the beach and sunrise in the morning, AND the hospitality and warmth of everyone at Posada, I promise you won’t find a better place to spend your vacation or at the least a meal.
Definitely some of the best pizza I've had anywhere let alone Tulum. So happy to find this location as it had excellent indoor space tables and chairs but also fantastic beer list of the normal Mexican beers but also some micros. Fun pizza flavors, great salads, great gelato and espresso drinks. But also a lovely space on the beach from which you could play in the ocean and then hang and have another beer. We actually went back 2 days in a row.
posada margherita is our favourite place in tulum!! from the moment you walk into the little garden door you can already feel at home. everything is curated, the plant, the decoration, every room. the food is amazing ( pizza is my favorite) and is the perfect spot to spend time with your family, children and friends. the staff is super nice!
It may not catch your eye from the street, but it’s wonderful inside and being able to have dinner while your feet are feeling the sand is lovely. We had dinner out by the beach while listening to the waves, without the music some other places are always blasting. Italian food in Tulum? I was sceptic..but boy was I wrong; their pasta and pizza are amazing! And the ambiance can’t be beat! Just make sure you bring cash, no cards accepted here

Sempre incredibile! Vengo alla Posada da ormai tantissimi anni ed è da sempre uno dei miei posti preferiti. Il cibo è eccellente e freschissimo, con varietà di cibo italiano e di pesce. Il sugo di pomodoro della pizza è incredibile così come la focaccia. La pasta con le zucchine e i gamberoni è un must. Le camere sono spaziosissime e curate nei minimi dettagli e il letto è veramente comodo. Scendere dal letto ed essere sul mare poi non ha prezzo. Infine i responsabili sono veramente gentili ed accoglienti. Grazie mille di tutto e a presto!
Un hotel/ristorante con spiaggia assolutamente da non perdere. In mezzo alla moltitudine di beach club presenti ormai sulla spiaggia di Tulum questo luogo con proprietà e gestione italiana fa indubbiamente la differenza tra una banale vacanze ed una vacanza da favola. Le camere sono tutte una diversa dall altra e la cura nei dettagli è maniacale. Il giardino con le innumerevoli anfore è un altra grandissima qualità del posto. Il ristorante merita un capitolo a parte i ragazzi in sala sono sempre sorridenti e disponibili.....e la cucina non ha nulla da invidiare ad un ristorante italiano..... Provate i taglieri con focaccia varia e i loro famosissimi taglierini gamberi e zucchine e non vedrete l ora di tornare alla Posada Margherita 🌼
Bellissima esperienza in una struttura immersa nella natura a pochi metri dal mare. Personale molto preparato il quale, con la presenza costante del titolare Alessandro, ti coccola per tutta la permanenza viziandoti con aperitivi e cibi di altissimo livello,il tutto servito sulla spiaggia di proprietà della struttura. Di sera si crea un'atmosfera stupenda cenando in riva al mare con lume si candela e piatti a base di pesce o pizza ...il tutto con il tipico made in Italy che a tavola non guasta mai. Sicuramente tornerò per rivivere questa meravigliosa esperienza
This review is of the restaurant not hotel. In short its a you cant miss place while in Tulum. Great Italian food and wine selection. Get shrimp pasta and def one of the pizzas. Table on the beach with stars and moon above you cant make it less romantic.
Adorable atmosphere with, delicious food and drinks! The day beds are so cute and included if you're buying a little food and drinks; I honestly think it's one of the cuter spots on this part of the beach in Tulum. Manuel was more than kind in assisting me in charging my phone and he's a sincere person willing to go the extra for his customers. I arrived late at night from the beachside hungry with a dead phone and he really made me feel safe and I totally recommend this restaurant; especially for women looking to relax with no pressure.
Amazing place by the beach. If you get there early, there’s real beds on the beach to lounge on all day. The spend minimum is pretty easy to reach if you plan on hanging out for a bit. Best part, they’re also dog friendly. Food was delicious with plenty of options for gluten and pescatarian options. The gluten free pasta was really good. Such a great spot and is one of the OGs of Tulum.
Nous avons dîner hier soir dans ce merveilleux restaurant et c’était notre meilleure soirée des vacances. Le cadre est incroyable, vue mer, les pieds dans le sable. Dès qu’il fait nuit ils allument des bougies et guirlandes lumineuses. Puis la nourriture est très bonne : meilleures pizzas mangées au Mexique. Si nous avions découvert cette adresse plus tôt nous y serions revenus plusieurs fois.

Es un restaurante Italiano a la orilla de mar muy ameno. A pesar de que fui sola lo disfrute mucho. La comida es rica, solo las bebidas no me encantaron pero estuvieron OK. El restaurante tiene una entrada con un jardín muy bonito lleno de plantas. Sin duda es lugar que recomiendo ampliamente.

Me acerqué a la posada para pasar la tarde en la playa. Llegamos ya eran las 16 hs y no nos permitieron sentarnos en la primera línea de mesas aun consumiendo y teniendo en cuenta la hora que era y que el lugar tenía mesas libres. Tomamos algo y nos fuimos . Ambiente lindo agradable. Los valores me parecieron caros , comparados con otros espacios en la playa.

Siempre es un lugar rico para desayunar, no me gusta que no hay estacionamiento pero tiene muchas cosas que lo compensan por ejemplo Fede es un súper sol, el personal atento, y de los alimentos ni hablemos 🤯, este lugar es la parada rigurosa cada vez que vengo.
Este lugar es un hermoso rincón de Tulum, con comida deliciosa, todo hecho en casa y fresco, una vista increíble al mar y un excelente servicio. Lo recomiendo muchísimo para ir a desayunar y luego quedarte a gusto en la playa.
I had the pleasure of staying in Casa Chiara a sweet villa owned by Posada Margherita it was beautiful a gem in the jungle and a 3 minute walk to the beach.The restaurant has excellent food and the pizza and the pasta reminds me of my time spent in Italy :) I will for sure be back thank you Posada Margherita Nosara !! Posada Margherita in the Tulum beach area is a gem that shouldn’t be missed. I had the pleasure of indulging in their PROSCIUTTO E FUNGHI pizza, and it was an absolute delight. The combination of tomato sauce, prosciutto, mozzarella, and mushrooms creates a symphony of flavors that’s both savory and satisfying. Each bite perfectly balances the richness of the prosciutto with the earthy notes of the mushrooms, all brought together by the creamy mozzarella and the tangy tomato sauce. It’s the kind of pizza that lingers on your taste buds, making you savor every last morsel. To complement the pizza, I opted for the PINK FLAMINGO smoothie. Served in a mason jar, the mix of watermelon, lemon, and basil was both juicy and refreshing—a perfect drink for a day by the beach. The flavors were bright and invigorating, making it an ideal choice for cooling off under the sun. The ambiance at Posada Margherita is equally impressive. The decor is cozy and welcoming, especially at the entrance, setting a relaxed tone as soon as you walk in. The servers were amazing—attentive and provided excellent customer service, ensuring that the experience was top-notch from start to finish. You can also enjoy a sunbed for a minimum purchase, or simply relish the food inside with no minimum consumption, which makes it a versatile spot whether you want to lounge by the beach or dine indoors. Although I didn’t get the chance to experience the rooms, the design was incredibly attractive and appealing, and I’d definitely like to spend a night there in the future. If you’re in Tulum and looking for a fantastic meal in a beautiful setting, Posada Margherita is definitely worth a visit. Always one of my 1st stops when in Tulum. It is so chill and away from the party scene. Best vibes! Good pizza! I love the fresh juice, great place during the day or at night. Most come here when in Tulum.
Restaurant review only. We were staying next door and popped over with our toddler for dinner. The staff were very friendly. The pizza was yummy and they also gave us a complimentary focaccia bread, cheese & vegetable platter that was delicious. Our toddler loved the bread. The portions were generous and we ended up taking some of what we ordered to go. The setup was also toddler friendly which was nice. Our little guy played in the sand and on the daybed. The homemade chocolate and coconut gelato were delicious, and we’ll probably return again to try more of their flavors.
Big big crush for this place. Had very good pizzas and amazing ice cream for dinner. The entrance and restaurant decoration are everything we like. Did not sleep there but the room entrances merged in the decoration looked promising. Do not hesitate.
I’ve been there a couple of times, the atmosphere is quite unique thanks to how the resort is structured: a paradise in the Caribbean Sea. The food is just as perfect as the location and the servers are very kind and always ready to help. I cannot recommend it enough!
This is such an amazing place! The vibe is chill, elegant and elevated but not pretentious…. Feels like home… food and service are superb. The rooms are perfectly styled and very comfortable with beautiful linens and nice details. The natural light is beautiful! The Gardens throughout the property are beyond amazing and an absolute joy everywhere…. The whole space is amazing and the friendly smiles from the staff is contagious:) love love love
This review is for their restaurant! Touted as one of the best pizza spots in Tulum, the restaurant did not disappoint. We walked in to grab a pizza, they were super helpful with their service, got our pizza ordered and made quickly. Even made it crispy on request and had us out within 10 minutes. Would totally recommend and confirm the pizza quality and hype!
Posada Margherita is one of the original places left in Tulum.. the atmosphere is simple and magical, from the moment you enter you are surrounded by beautiful plants cared for every day by the owner.. along the way you discover small works of art created by an Italian painter like the small sanctuary with the Madonna, the decorated vases and in the bar area another painting with the Madonna with the child on the scooter.. the food is simple and amazing.. the rooms give the atmosphere of being in a place that gives you peace.. the staff is wonderful. Beautiful and original resort.
My favorite location in Tulum! I returned with a friend after 7 years. It has been incredibly wonderful in the very changed Tulum environment. Warm and welcoming team always available and attentive, great food as I remembered and better! Tulum has lots of options and Posada remains my haven and a place never to miss! Can’t wait to return!
I’ve been going to eat at Posada Margherita for the past 15 years, enjoying the same original menu that has been feeding people for over 20 years now. Imagine how good the food must be if you serve it for over twenty years.. I’ve also stayed in Posada Margherita and the experience is authentic and relaxing. The staff is super friendly, they Trully make you feel at home. Will definitely be back, and highly recommend to anyone wanting to experience amazing Italian food, or a perfect night sleep.
We go here several times a year for a stay-cation. The rooms are so unique with great linens, powerful showers, and powerful AC - my husband Runs hot. The people here are so welcoming, it’s one of the only places on the beach to have intimate conversations without loud music, and it’s kid and pet friendly. You have to have their shrimp pasta, and sausage pizza!
I cannot say enough about this gorgeous location for dinner. We arrived for our first trip to Tulum and on the first day, as we got acquainted with the area, we just happened upon Posada Margherita from the road. It's very unassuming and we almost missed it, except I love greenery and it lulled me in. As we walked through this long path lit by candles and covered in greenery, it felt like we were transferred to a tiny town in Italy! We arrived in the restaurant (in late May, it was pretty slow which made it even better for us!) and so we had our choice of seating. We sat inside but right at the "window" to the beach and was instantly greeted with service with a smile. We shared a margherita pizza, each had a soda, and had to try gelato and it was only US$45 with the tip! Given our beachfront view, amazing service, delicious food and the romantic ambience.... we could not have had a better experience! We even returned towards the end of the week because we loved it so much and sat in the sand all to ourselves. We were shocked they were not busier but must have just been due to slow season. Every staff member was attentive and accommodating, the pasta was okay but we preferred the pizza. All in all, this place was a dream!!

The pizza was great and the atmosphere is really nice. We chose to sit on the beach but seating is available in doors as well. The beach is a great place to hang out and have a few drinks. Servers were very friendly and prompt and the owner made an effort to take to each person walking in. I highly recommend coming here for food and drinks.
Holy moly. We were super overwhelmed with our entire Tulum experience and this spot completely saved us. So many cozy/shady spots to enjoy the day with delightful drinks and AWESOME pizza. The staff made us feel super welcome to enjoy the beach for the entire day. No one hassled us to order more (but we always did just to make sure we weren’t camping out. Plus everything was awesome, so it was an easy sell.) Prices were super fair for the location. Perfect way to enjoy the beaches of Tulum. Bonus points for all of the pelican and frigate birds flying overhead!

Emplacement est exceptionnel, sable blanc, face à la mer avec du mobilier pour tous les goûts chacun dans son petit cocon c'est vraiment paradisiaque. depuis la rue ce resto ne donne pas de mine mais dès qu'on rentre on est complètement immergé dans un cadre botanique, bucolique pour enfin arriver au bout soit en terrasse couverte soit directement sur la plage. c'est chouette. les pizzas 🍕 sont bonnes par contre tarif assez élevé il est évident qu'on paie le cadre plus que la cuisine ! Mais à faire une fois !

Visited the restaurant only so can't comment on the hotel side. Gorgeous sitting and really tasty pizza. They had great vegetarian options and the portions were huge! The special part was the view and the atmosphere. On the pricey side, but would recommend for a simple and romantic dinner.

Fui muchas veces, la primera ves que fui el precio estaba bien, la segunda el precio me pareció carísimo fui a desayunar y la verdad no me gustó, el lugar es hermoso y la ubicación es perfecta.
El lugar es demasiado lindo y también es un sitio pet friendly. El club de playa también es muy agradable. Lo que no nos gustó fue un poco la falta de atención por parte de los meseros. Adicionalmente la relación calidad- precio de los alimentos deja mucho que desear. En este caso nosotros pedimos una pizza y pasta. Los costos son elevados, esperaba más de la comida. Mi pizza no fue realmente genial, era demasiada masa para lo que tenía de toppings.
La comida está bien pero la cuenta nos salió carísima. Pagamos 159 dólares 4 platos de pasta y dos tragos. Realmente hay lugares mejores y más baratos para salir a comer, quizás no en esa location pero bueno es un tema de gustos. El ambiente es lindo hay mesas en la playa. Nosotros no volveremos nos resulta muy caro para nuestro cambio.
Este lugar esta un poco complicado por que la mayoria de restaurantes de esta zona no cuenta con estacionamiento, asi que dejamos nuestro carro en un lugar y nos cobraron $200.00 y cuando llegamos al lugar de Posada Margerhita se nos hizo muy original el lugar, solo que el menu muy complicado y reducido. No hubo flexibilidad en cambiar ciertas cosas de una pizza. Al pedir la cuenta ya viene la propina sugerida de 15%. Se nos hizo caro para comernos una pizza con dos bebidas fueron $700.00.
Apesar de que siempre es recomendado por los locales y la gente que viaja, para mi no va más allá de lo simpático del lugar. La comida hay que reconocer que si es muy italiana. No tiene nada de adaptaciones. Se siente como comer en una Trattoria italiana. Sin embargo no son sabores que sorprendan. Es básico, con precios de Tulum y eso si, un ambiente muy único. He ido dos veces y siempre la conclusión es la misma.
Súper servicio, pizzas súper ricas, las pastas bienisimas, todo muuuy bien. El único detalle, son los perros sueltos por la playa, se robaron una parte de mi pizza, orinaron la silla del vecino etc. Me encantan los perros, pero pienso que deberían de estar con correa cada perro con su dueño
This review is for the restaurant. We live between NYC and Miami so paying top dollar for a meal is normal to us, however I did want to write this review for travelers who may not be in the same situation. We paid $95 at lunch for pizza, a bowl of pasta with red sauce (no protein), and one NON alcoholic watermelon drink. Crazy considering our 15 course Omakese with fish flown in from Japan at KUU was $300 (affordable). The food was delicious, service was good. Just wild pricing for red sauce and pizza /pasta.
Dog friendly! We Went for lunch. It was a beautiful quaint little spot. I loved the styling, the entrance had you feeling like you were entering a secret garden. The food was good. The issue we had was with the service - we waited and waited and ended up leaving without our drinks and dessert order. They just never came out despite having asked multiple times. It took us 2 hours to have lunch. Somehow they managed to bring us the bill on time but the missing items were never brought out. We paid for it anyways waiting another 20 minutes and gave up. If you have the time, stop by, if you don’t, elsewhere will be quicker.
Muy buen lugar
The restaurant is beautiful and has a great atmosphere. The waiters are very friendly and attentive. However, our food experience was not good. We ordered a pizza, which was above average but not great (6.5/10) and a pasta with broccoli and mushrooms, which tasted really off. The pasta had a weird bad taste. Considering their location on the beach and their high rating we were disappointed. Paid over 1000mxn pesos for average pizza and bad pasta (1 star), but the venue is really beautiful and the setting on the beach is nice (+1 star) BEWARE: no credit cards, cash only
Das Essen ist nicht schlecht, aber definitiv zu teuer. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht. Vier kleine Limoncello für 1200 Pesos ist eine Unverschämtheit. Die Qualität kann meiner Meinung nach mit einem italienischen Restaurant in Italien nicht mithalten, ist aber fünf mal so teuer. Das ist nicht fair und meiner Meinung nach unverschämt. Die Flasche Wein für 1200 Pesos kostet in Italien vielleicht 3 Euro und hier umgerechnet 60 Euro. In Italien bzw. in Europa würde dieser Wein erst gar nicht auf der Karte stehen. Die Rechnung entsprach der eines Michelin Sterne Restaurant, für mich leider total enttäuschend. Zu den Zimmern kann ich nichts sagen. Wie waren lediglich Gäste im Restaurant. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön und der Service gut.
Sad because this used to be a great spot to spend the day on the beach and eat / drink. Now they treat you like a commodity and a dollar sign, that’s it. There’s a $750 peso minimum to sit on a chair at the beach. They didn’t let my friend in to even check if I was there and demanded $750 at the gate. I was bothered 6 times and when I ordered a juice, the guy kept asking me if I want tequila or beer. I said no 4 times. Once should be enough. Sad because the regulars who have been supporting your business for 5 years can no longer come and enjoy.
Llegué con mi familia a la puerta y me recibieron con un si no consume 500$ por persona no puede pasar les solicite ver el lugar y de cinco personas pasamos dos una aberración en cuestión de turismo no entiendo cómo no preparan a su personal para tratarlo la verdad tengan un poco más de profesionalismo
Pésimo servicio, muy groseros todos pero más el gerente, pésima actitud y empezó a insultar a la gente. Un italiano pelón muy irrespetuoso que nos faltó el respeto y cruzó la línea. La pizza no valió la pena, muy caro para lo que es, casi no tenía queso… no lo recomiendo para nada. Hay lugares mucho más bonitos, ricos, con mejor servicio y con mejor ambiente a 2 pasos del lugar.
No aceptan cash y es muy caro, por lo que te limitan seguir pidiendo más ya que con dos platillos y bebidas se te acaba el efectivo. No entienden que traer efectivo en Tulum es muy peligroso por las condiciones y fuerzan a los comensales a una opción de pago. Las pastas son muy ricas pero las pizzas es mas pan que ingredientes. Decepcionante
