Excellent service. The food was prepared as ordered. Cozy restaurant and bar - lots of comfort food! Only problem we encountered was finding a parking space!

My husband & I have been frequenting The Cabin for several years and have enjoyed our meal at each visit. My go-to's are the angus meatloaf dinner, the Ahi Tuna salad & the Angus beef burgers (cooked to perfection). On our most recent visit we were joined by another couple, looking for a great burger, first-timers at the Cabin, and their comment was that the burgers did not disappoint and 'worth coming back for'. I have yet to try the pizza, it looked & smelled so enticing as it came out of the pizza oven & delivered to the table next us, I wanted to reach over & swipe a slice it smelled SO GOOD! We usually go there on a weeknight, to avoid crowds & noise level.

A cute cabin resturant. The inside is warm and welcoming with framed photography. 5 stars for food service and atmosphere. I highly recommend the pineapple basil cocktail which consists of pinapple and basil which has been muddled coconut vodka triple sec and pinapple juice. So refreshing I had a second one. Apetizer was the fried veggies with dipping sauce. Scrumptious. My entree order was the Angus meat loaf which came with garlic smashed potatoes along with fresh green beans. The meatloaf was one of the better meatloaf I ever had. Chunky tender and served witha steak 1 seven sauce. Potatoes and green beans where tasty and beans were fresh. My husband had the strip steak which was juicy and cooked to his perfection. Grilled asparagus and smashed garlic potatoes came with his entree. He said he highly recommends the dish. Nice sized portions and you will have plenty of leftovers

They say never judge a book by its cover. Truer words have never been spoken. From the outside this place doesn't seem like much, but once inside the food and staff make up for the outside facade. I had the blackened salmon and my honey had the steak with blue cheese. Both meals we delicious. What also stood out was the service. Matthew our waiter was polite and knowledgeable. He caught us off guard when he interrupted our conversation by excusing himself for interrupting. Who does that anymore? Sweet kid. So enjoy a good meal with good staff behind the meal. It's worth it.

Okay so, this place is right next to my church and when there's an extra church service, me and my friends know where we're going. The cabin. Period, they always give us our food in the right amount of time, and it's so delicous. Service is great too, but this one time a waiter skipped my friend for some reason, and when we got all our food she had to order. (She was so upset, her mom did yell at someone though💀) But either way, it's still pretty nice. We've also had events here from our church and everything goes pretty good. I got a pizza here last weekend, pepperoni, jalapeños, and olives.

I had around 60 people for a brunch. The menu that I chose was amazing. The food was fantastic, the service was great with friendly and attentive catering to everyone’s needs . The price was unbelievable. I thought I was going to pay so much more. I highly recommend The cabin for either lunch or dinner, or to cater for any event. If I could give it a higher than 5 stars, I would. Everyone in my party was amazed and raved about the food. Love it here. lol. I will see you tomorrow for lunch.

Love the Captain Lawrence Pumpkin Ale with the chilled and cinnamon sugar rimmed glass!!! A winner that brings me back year after year! Be advised that this is a seasonal item, maybe mid Sept until it runs out, which unfortunately has happened ever before Halloween some years. The plates of food I saw were very generous servings and looked delicious. I sat at the bar on a sat night and it was too loud for me, not the crowd, but the music.

Today’s favorite was the Maine Lobster roll and Baby clams pizza and oh course Alejandro’ s service and attention to us! Nothing fancy but great for a quick fresh bite!

Visiting from NH, read some reviews and decided to try it. So glad we did. Our server was great, the food was fantastic, and it wasn't too noisy. Wonderful experience. Sorry the photo of the meatloaf is blurry. Hubby said it was good that it didn't ketchup. I had a bite of his mashed potatoes and they were so good! We ordered an appetizer of crab cake and scallops. Best crab cake I've had. I figured I'd have a bite and let hubby eat the rest of it, but I had several bites it was so good. The scallops were cooked perfectly. My chicken Tuscan sandwich was good and the fries were cooked perfectly too (and I'm kind of picky about fries); I like them crisp on the outside and they were exactly how I like them. The Cabin Restaurant has earned 5 shining stars.

Our wonderful server Sherry was so attentive and extremely efficient. The food was delicious and we were able to dine outside under a tent with our dog. My birthday was so special with my family at the cabin and the staff came out to sing a birthday song.

A wonderful restaurant that feels rustic, homey, and wonderfully up to date. The service was wonderful. We went on Valentines day and had nearly no wait! We both had twp different pastas and they were delicious. As shown in the picture we took them home to eat later!

This place is a gem. If you can get there..go there! Everything we got was amazing. Hard to have a bad Nutella pizza dessert but this one was beyond delicious.

I love this place. They have great monthly specials, but I’m addicted to the NY strip steak with the brandy peppercorn sauce. The staff is friendly and the cabin is cozy — my go-to spot on Friday nights. The only downside is the parking: it’s not quite big enough for the restaurant’s capacity. Still, if you wait a little, you’ll eventually find a spot and then you can enjoy The Cabin’s delicious food.

Thirty (30!) of us came to The Cabin for the very first time for a special midday Sunday private gathering, most from from Manhattan or Brooklyn & other parts of NY, but also from NJ< DC, South Carolina and even New Mexico, completely new to this chosen location, and we were stunned by both the quality and quantity of the servings, especially at such a reasonable price. Five of of 7 at our table who had salmon were knocked out by the huge, yet still perfectly delicious portions, certainly the largest and tastiest I'd ever seen for, again, what was a very modest price. The rice was also unexpectedly zesty, enhanced by cinnamon (?) or some other wonderful herb or spice that we enjoyed but couldn't exactly identify. String beans were good, and we really were also pleased by the warm, seemingly fresh-baked rolls, the zesty caesar salad and our perfectly fine glasses of wine, both pinot noir & chardonnay. Overall, a terrifically satisfying dining experience, especially at such a bargain rate.

A staple in the area, the menu has some variety so there is something for everyone. The pizza is cooked in a wood fired oven and has a soft doughy crust. The burgers are all great and filling. Plenty of seating so even during the lunch/dinner rush you should get a table pretty quick. The bar has drinks on draft and in cans. You can watch sports on the TV and relax.

update 7/31/25: Went here on Sunday July 20th 2025 with my mom, aunt, uncle, and 2 of their friends as a total party of 6. Again since we were the first ones there, we were able to seat ourselves at any table that we fit at. We sat ourselves at a table in the corner by the front door, which i believe is where we sat a previous time. Which is okay, as it was comfortable and in our own little corner. Waiter greeted us in a timely manner. We started with 3 waters, raspberry vodka with sprite, and 2 sam adams. We looked over the menu and decided what we wanted. They have everything from pasta dishes, chicken dishes, sandwiches, and more. Upon my aunt's recommendation, I decided on the chicken carbonara. Others in my party ordered the chicken parm (2x), and steak sandwich. Food came out in a timely manner, and was delicious and enjoyable. i very much enjoyed my chicken carbonara! other people in my party also enjoyed their food. Food portions are big, but it's a good thing because it means dinner for tomorrow! lol we got boxes for most of our food. We also got 2x ice cream sundaes, and key lime pie. enjoyed the ice cream sundae, as well! Paid via credit card, and left a cash tip. Would definitely be back if we are ever in the area! Been here before, and the service has been great, as well as the meals. even celebrated my birthday here last year. Went here yesterday (10/07/2022) with my aunts, uncles, and my mom as a party of 6. After we were at heaven's gate cementary nearby to visit my grandparents. We were sat right away, although the bar was really crowded, and we couldn't find a parking spot. But luckily we found some spots. It wasn't all that crowded in the dining room, which is good. We sat in a corner. Loved the halloween themed decorations that were around the restaurant. Also good to see specials involving pumpkin for halloween like the pumpkin martini that i wanted to try. Anyways, the server took our drink orders, as i ordered a water, and we got waters all around for the table. my uncle ordered a sam adams octoberfest beer, and my aunt ordered a wine. We did take a while to look over the menu to decide what to order, and our server was great at checking on us until we were ready to decide. I ordered the special of Pumpkin Ravoli, my aunt ordered the pork ribs sliders with sweet potato fries, which was also a special, my uncle ordered a burger, my other aunt ordered mustard chicken, my mom ordered pork, and my aunt also ordered pork i believe. Food came out in a timely manner. Must say that i very much enjoyed the pumpkin ravoli! the pumpkin was inside the ravoli, and i ate it all up! Even the pork was very good, as i shared with my mom. After lunch, some of my party took home their food, as they did not finish their plate. For Dessert, we shared 2 slices of Pumpkin Cheesecake! i enjoyed the pumpkin cheesecake as it was soft, and sweet. We then paid our bill, and was on our merry way. Hopefully will be back again soon!

When we first got here, there was no hostess to seat you so we were looking for someone to seat me and my family and someone did eventually seat us. The food is very good. The Buffalo Wings tasted very fresh and those were probably the best wings I’ve ever had! My Personal Buffalo Chicken Pizza was really good too. I loved the oven that they cooked it in and it was very tasty! The service is very slow though which is the only downside. Other than that, it was really good!

Absolutely a 5 Star Restaurant!! The staff are friendly and smiling, the atmosphere has a cozy feel and the food is just as good as Gramma's, or a little bit better, but don't tell her that! Definitely try the homemade Spinach & Artichoke Dip...it's AMAZING!!! And the House Italian Dressing was very yummy! The Mustard Crusted Chicken was so delicious with the Garlic Mashed Potatoes! Drinks tried was the Cat's Coconuts and Captains Peach which were both a party in my mouth! So definitely giving 5 Stars for overall performance from all staff which includes the Bartender to Kitchen Chef!

Honestly not bad at all, the place had a really cool old time vibe to it and everyone was nice and pleasant, food came fast but to me if you can’t make a burger correctly than there is no reason for me to come back because you can’t do something so simple but they nailed it plus it was done the way I asked. All the food was good even the shrimp dumplings, only problem is the front door is tiny made for small people but besides that honestly no issues if you are in the area stop by you should enjoy the food and quick service.

Excellent fresh food, delicate high quality flavors, clearly made from scratch. Pizza is wonderful. Pork shank and meatloaf are just excellent. Even the Caesars salad went above and beyond. It's a little loud/too many kids and families on a Saturday night making it seem less nice than it is. But overall really good experience.

We both had the chicken carbonara- it was tasty but I'm not fond of smoked bacon or tomato in my carbonara. Although it's not my style of carbonara it was flavorful! Wait staff was attentive.

But it's a Cabin lol , so maybe that's the vibe it's giving out. I go here a lot for lunch and just sit and eat quietly. Overall is a good spot to have a conversation and enjoy a nice meal. This is one of those places that I've frequented in the past and I'm never disappointed. It always gets better with each return trip. The food is very good, the wait staff polite and the general atmosphere very comfortable. Lunchtime is always busy and you may not find ample parking. They are very good at handling large parties. We had about 30-35 in our and everyone was served in a very quick and efficient manner. The menu is on the higher end but not too bad. It's very accessible by freeway and is about a half hour drive from The Bronx. I recommend it highly to folks looking for an escape from NYC.

Find this by driving by and seeing the full parking lot. The menu has burgers, pizza, and some other entree choices. We had a burger and a meatloaf sandwich, both of which were tasty, and the fries were delicious as well. We were able to watch the game from the dining room, not just in the bar, which was a nice touch during football season!

This place was larger on the inside, then it looks on the outside. We ordered the bacon cheeseburger and fries. Both my friend and I asked for our burgers to be cooked medium. They came out well done. It was tasty just overcooked.

Don’t let the outside fool you. The restaurant is adorable inside . We were a very large group with several small children for a last minute lunch and they were most accommodating. The burgers and sandwiches were large and delicious and prices were very good. Would recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a casual family meal.

Rustic looking with stone chimney and lots of dark wood inside. Nice large bar area with plenty of seating. Nostalgic for my husband as he would go here after playing softball some 40 years ago. Food was good & portions were large. It has a fun & relaxed vibe.

Right off the Taconic making it perfect for a quick bite. Pizza, burgers, and salads. Great appetizers as well. The bar was packed at 4pm - so seems like it's popular. Cute home like feel on the inside.

This place looks a lot better inside than out. I had a caesar salad which was pretty good. My friend had a burger and fries that I tried and that wasn’t bad either. I had a jack and coke and it was made right by the bartender. You’d be surprised how often bartenders mess that up. I would definitely cone back to have a couple of drinks

The food was excellent! I highly recommend having a meal here. The only drawbacks: the parking lot tends to fill up because it's a popular place and our waiter was so busy that he only checked on us once at the beginning of our meal. We would have gotten more drinks and dessert, but we didn't have the time. Overall, it was worth it and we would be happy to go again!

First time in the restaurant and dined in. I ordered steak 🥩 but was given a big slab of burger. I was disappointed and told them I didn’t order ground beef I wanted steak. You cannot confuse me with food I’m a foodie I know what I want. I asked them to give me a real piece of meat steak and they did. I wasn’t rude or anything I just didn’t expect to be given that kind lol. If I wanted a burger 🍔 I would’ve ordered burger. It’s obviously not a steak they should change the description of that menu item if that’s the case. Don’t dupe me with something I didn’t ask for and cover it with sauces and mountain of sides. Anyway, they were nice enough to change it the way I asked. I appreciated that. Thank you for your service and kind understanding!

We almost didn’t go is as the outside is in desperate need of power washing the roof, awning and stone work. But glad we did as once inside, it is rustic, casual, clean and just great with pizza oven, stone work and great ambiance. Food top notch too, with large portions, specials and plenty of options. The Cabin Restaurant has the atmosphere of what it would have been like to walk into a mid-18th century roadside inn. The lighting is warm and inviting and the chairs and tables are old-fashioned knotty pine. The log walls invoke an earlier era of simpler times. The layout of the furniture is well done with tables spaced apart, so you don’t feel crowded. Acoustics are great so even with a lot of diners, there is a quiet ambience to the restaurant. Since there were 12 people in our party, we were able to order an assortment of different foods. The pulled pork sandwiches were excellent, but the cook went a little overboard with the salt. The salads were fresh. A favorite of everyone were the fried chicken dumplings and the beef nachos which were the best I ever had with excellent seasoning and fresh nachos. The food portions were very generous and table service was adequate. The hamburgers didn’t hit the target with taste or seasoning and the pizza is probably an item best not ordered since although they claim the dough is “hand stretched” it tasted like it came premade off the shelf from a supermarket. A great place to grab a meal and a friendly staff and atmosphere.

A great option for American food in the area. Had a good lunch here. The portions are bigger than I expected - plenty of people asked for take away boxes. The soup of the day was clam chowder and was delicious, as was the cream of crab soup. Standout of the meal was the buffalo wings. Blackened salmon salad was cooked beautifully and the burger cooked medium was perfect. The one small critique was that the food was not fully salted or seasoned - lacking a bit of depth. Looking around at the older clientele I suppose it wasn’t that surprising. Go for large portions of good food!

A month before Easter, I made a reservation for Easter lunch for 16 people and requested one of the alcoves. I was told we had that room. I called back two weeks later to modify the number and confirmed that we had that room. We showed up for our reservation, and were instead, seated at two separate tables in the dining room. I asked the manager what happened to our reservation, and he said another party had reserved the room. I called him out on it because it was completely untrue and he replied, I'm doing the best I can. He was very dismissive. On the other hand, the waiter was very pleasant. The food was okay. I used to frequent this restaurant but we were so blatantly disregarded, it will no longer be the case.

Decided to try this restaurant since we wanted something different. Service started good by getting a table right away. After being seated, we waited a little over 10 min to get a server to take our drink order, not terrible but it wasn’t busy at all. Asked for a water along with a sangria, sangria was okay. Didn’t get my water. Food came pretty quickly. We both ordered burgers with no pickles and I asked for sautéed onions. Both came with a spear pickle which wasn’t terrible bc it was big enough not to affect the taste but I never got my onions. We noticed that our server had never wrote any of our order down. We had to flag the server down for my water. And then also flagged down for a box and the check. Not once did our server ever ask if we needed anything during our meal. Food was good but the service could’ve been better. Not sure if we’d go back.

Nice place to meet with friends but you the food takes so long. The customer service is very bad. I ordered tea with food. The tea arrived after 20minutes with no spoon or sugar, I had to wait another 15minutes to get sugar and the spoon. The Tea was cold by that time I received the spoon and sugar. Then the food came after an hour. I don't recommend this place if your meeting as a group unless you are going to be very patient and wait for a long time.

It's clean food was delicious. Service was OK 👍 don't know if lack of staffing one person assigned to a party of 12. Waitress did a good job. But all by herself took a long time. My company party we arrived at 12pm didn't eat till 1:30, no water, no bread while waiting despite contacting them before arrival they were not ready. Steak medium well cooked, mushrooms with crab cake nice salad, mashed potatoes delightful. Couples will be cared for not huge parties.

Ok so I have mixed feelings right now! I went there once before for lunch with coworkers. I hd gotten the order of quesadilla when I dined in, it was AMAZING!!!! So two weeks later, today, I order quesadillas but to go and I was VERY DISAPPOINTED! I literally got two small pieces, but when I dined in I got more than two pieces. I asked for extra sour cream and pico, didn't receive any sour cream. BUT, the pizza the last thing I ordered was the only amazing thing. I was a bit disappointed because THE QUESADILLAS AND STEAK WERE THE MAIN REASON FOR MY RETURN!

Food was not very good, service was just as bad. Also $3.50 for a glass of ice tea that was mostly ice, and then another $3.50 for a refill, and they charged for extra dressing as well on a salad.

I ordered a bacon cheese burger on brioche bun-medium. I can honestly say that this was one of the worst burgers I ever had #1 dry .#2 no bacon. #3pink and cool inside. #4dry stale regular bun. Really unbelievable...Waitress was friendly and prompt.

The appetizer was good, but based on the pasta dish, I wouldn't go back. The menu has a wide variety of dish styles; some Mexican, some Italian, and some stereotypical Americano. The atmosphere is loose and relaxed, can wear very relaxed clothes and dressing up would not mesh with the environment. There is a large bar attached to the open dining area.

Burger was burnt at the bottom and the entire thing tasted bitter, it was halfway decent after scraping off the bottom. Fries were inconsistently cooked, some were half cooked and some were good. The pizza was dense and doughy, and the sauce was pasty. Service was standard, efficient and quick; we were seated immediately and the waiter came to our table and was courteous.

We go to the cabin weekly and this evening was the first time we were very disappointed. The calamari, which we always order, was tough and inedible. The kids pizza was burnt (not the regular guy making the pizza), and the chicken francese was horrible, dry and little sauce on top with sticky pasta. The rest of the meals were ok. I would have sent back the food if we didn't have other people dining with us but didn't wish to ruin the evening. I can only imagine that the C team chefs were working!!

This is a tough review to write because the Cabin has been a family meet-up spot for many years. However, the service and quality of the food has declined significantly and I can't say we'll be returning anytime soon. The disappointment with our recent visit began as soon as we walked in. When the record of the reservation was finally located by staff, it did not include how many people were in the party and they tried to seat our party of 8 at a table for 6 despite the dining room being empty. The heat in the dining area from the pizza oven was unbearable and continued to increase as the volume of people in the space grew, it was easily in the upper 80s to low 90s at our table. Our drinks and appetizers were good, but dinner was another story. We were left sitting at our table with dirty appetizer dishes while our dinners sat on a tray nearby for at least 10 minutes. The manager walked about but seemed to have no direction or purpose to his wandering and gave staff no direction. I felt bad for the wait staff who were rushing around, clearly overwhelmed and constantly asking the manager to help. At one point the manager attempted to help bus one nearby table but dropped the dirty plates on the floor. Just as I was about to distribute our meals without them, a staff person finally arrived. I need not have been in such a hurry to enjoy dinner because it was inedible. I ordered stuffed shrimp and the shrimp were so rubbery I could not cut them with a knife. The asparagus were like tree trunks. The texture of the rice was mushy. I left it all. We normally would stay for coffee/dessert but we again sat with dirty plates for 10-15 minutes. We asked for the check so we could get the heck out of there, we just couldn't tolerate the long wait in the stifling heat for who knows what quality may come out of their kitchen.

I don't even know where to begin!! The waitress was nasty,had a snippy attitude,didn't check on us,didn't refill our drinks,the food was cold and terrible and my daughters good friend, who was with us had eaten Half her french onion soup,and than found a WHOLE Entire Lantern fly in the soup!!! None of us ate the rest of the food after That,Another waitress came took the soup came back and said,"yes it's definitely a lantern fly,sorry" That's it!!! They Only refunded the soup,not the rest of her food and All the food we Did Not eat After seeing a Complete Bug in the food! I complained to the manager,who Never even came over,and he didn't care. We paid the bill and were leaving and the nasty waitress ran out to the parking lot after us ,ripped us up for not giving her a big tip!!! We were on a family vacation with my 8 month old Grandson there,and this is Unacceptable Behavior!! We will NEVER go there again and I Strongly recommend Nobody else does either!!

Have been here many times and have always enjoyed it but after tonight I won't be going back. Service was terrible. Clearly inexperienced waiter but after him ignoring us totally after our meal was served we had to find him to ask for the check...although it was a fairly busy night i saw he was chatting in the kitchen area with the waitresses...we finally got his attention for the check but then he never came back so I had to go into the kitchen to give my credit card to another waitress although I could see he was again chatting with staff...the waitress was clearly not happy to "fill in" for our waiter so when she returned she literally threw the signature slip on the table and ran off. Very unpleasant experience!!

Very disappointed, I have called numerous times to speak with the owner or a top-level management and no one has yet to call. This is not a coincidence with what I am about to share...this has happened to us twice now. With in a day or two from visiting the restaurant our credit card was hacked. As good as the food is it's not worth having your life turned upside down. Be sure to check your statements. Will never go back and will never tell others to go.

I asked for the pizza prices, the guy showed me menu and told me the price for classic margherita was 20.95 as the menu detailed. but when I pay the order, the guy charged me $22.95 instead. asked why? they said everything goes up. so tricky and cheating！why you don't tell your customers everything got going up when you showed the menu to your customers.???

My daughter and son-in-law went to eat here last night. My daughter ordered a salad and to her horror there were bugs in it. She was sickened and spit her food out. Shameful and disgusting

Beyond Disappointed – Worst Experience Ever We waited more than 30 minutes just to get our appetizers, and when they finally arrived, the calamari were so tough and rubbery that my daughter almost choked trying to eat them. It was honestly scary. When we mentioned it to the staff, the chef had the nerve to say that’s how calamari are supposed to be — as if we didn’t know any better! My husband is a chef himself, so that comment was not only rude but also completely disrespectful. To make things worse, our pizza was just sitting on the counter getting cold. No one brought it to our table — my husband actually had to go and grab it himself because nobody seemed to care. The waiter was absent most of the time, even after we explained that we didn’t have much time and asked if it made sense to wait or cancel the order. We left feeling extremely disappointed. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Such a waste of time, money, and what was supposed to be a nice birthday outing for our daughter. Truly the worst experience we’ve had in a long time.

I won’t be returning back after being a longtime customer. I ordered takeout and noticed they were pretty packed when I arrived. I’m only a 5 minute drive from the restaurant and ordered takeout tonight. When I arrived they were pretty packed as they’re were very few parking spots left. I ordered the Buffalo wings, fried calamari and chicken soup. Everything was practically inedible. The calamari was undercooked and half soggy from the uncooked breading. The wings weren’t cooked and visibly pink, very chewy & stringy from the excess skin, completely inedible. Probably the worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant. The only saving grace was the chicken noodle soup. Will not be returning back after tonight
