Don Melquias in Granbury is a hidden gem serving up authentic, flavorful Mexican cuisine. The friendly staff and warm atmosphere create a welcoming dining experience. From sizzling fajitas to savory enchiladas, the dishes are generously portioned and made with fresh ingredients. The homemade tortillas are a standout, adding an extra layer of deliciousness to every bite. While the decor might be simple, the focus here is clearly on the food, making it a must-visit for anyone craving a taste of Mexico in Granbury.
Wow! Mom and Pop type of place. Clean. Pleasant young lady served me. Had a bit of very fresh quacamole with my fresh made chips and salsa I couldn't stop eating. Food was beautifully presented, fresh and tasty, and plenty of it!. Very reasonably priced. My new go to for really good Mexican food in Granbury.
Best mexican food in Hood County! This is my families go-to for mexican food in Hood County, and I take friends and family here all the time! Chips and salsa are delicious! My wife and I usually split the trio fajitas, which I highly recommend! When I'm flying solo, I've ordered the fajita chicken chimichanga, flautas, taco salad, and several other dishes on the menu! I can say with honesty that we've never been disappointed even when we do take out! You will like the staff! Very friendly people! Great service and family environment! Take take my word for it, find out for yourself!
Everything about it was great! Everything. Definitely recommend and would come back. Great hostess, waitress, chips, salsa, guac, food, drinks, atmosphere, furniture. Zero complaints. We didn't see Tiffany...😅😆
Good food, it’s definitely more Tex Mex . Prices are very reasonable. The establishment is clean and spacious. Kinda had to look for our waitress a few times but overall will give it another try.
Excellent customer service! Excellent food !!
This is THE place to go for great Mexican food. Absolutely 💯 fantastic! Service is friendlier than family! Just don't tell anyone or we won't be able to get a seat...lol
The waiter was very kind, attentive and the food was great.
We love Don's and we love our favorite waitress Sylvia. Such good food and reasonable prices.
Employees are always nice. I've never had any issues with the food. It's always more than I can eat at one meal. My elderly father likes it, too
Very busy place, they were a little short staffed but those ladies were hustling! Got in and sat at a table with a short wait, which we totally expected a wait time much longer with th3m being ad busy as they were tonight. Got our order taken promptly and food was our quick too. Great servers and great food. Highly recommend.
Loved this place. Delicious, polite staff, CHEAP! Loved the sopapillas too.
Family new to area Stopped by for lunch Wonderful place to visit and dine. Food was very tasty. Customer Service was on point. Other guest were smiling and saying hello and welcome to area. Great job team Don Melquias.
Just stopped in on the recommendation of a local. Lunch special was delicious and a really good value. Beans and rice were perfect and the chicken and sour cream enchiladas were seasoned perfectly. Definitely stop in if you are in the area.
We aren't from Texas and someone recommended this place. We were pleasantly surprised! Everything was good from the chips and salsa to the tacos! If we ever go back to Texas we will come back here!
Excellent hot sauce and chips. Love them !!! Wide variety of dishes to choose from. Very reasonable pricing on most of the items
First time trying this place. Absolutely amazing. Did an online order and when I picked it up the lady was soooo nice. The food was so good that my kids ate everything on their plate! Will definitely make this our new Mexican food place!
Always love dining at Don M’s!! Food is great and staff are warm and friendly. Highly recommend!!
Small hole in the wall type of Latin food. I thoroughly enjoyed the Chimichanga meal. So much so that I went back the next day and had it again. I travel for work, so I'm not a local. The prices are really great. They do have a veterans discount.
Great food, great taste. Ordered the way we like it! Chips and salsa, fajitas, and cold beer! Servers never let us down! We will be back! Thank you.
Very family oriented restaurant. The servers are really kind. If you want a place where they take care of you this is it. Highly recommend again
Quaint little restaurant. A friend took me and a group of ladies and the server knew my friends name. They clearly develop relationships with their patrons. Our server was on top of it as well. Loved the chips and salsa and the flautas. The lunch plate was a bit small, but was well priced considering. Definitely will go back.
We have had their enchiladas to go and always enjoyed them (I would rank them pretty high up on my favorite of all time). We finally went as a family to sit down and eat the other day and it was a wonderful experience. The enchiladas were great and the chips and salsa were on point. We ended up ordering more to go! Even though it was our first time in there, we left feeling like we had known Sylvia for years. She was great, the food was great. I give them 2 thumbs up.
I love this place the chips and salsa are really good best in Hood County I think. Food is really good too. Highly recommend. Price is average or a tad less. Cost my wife and I $33 and she had a beer and I had tea plus our meal so really that is fairly cheap compared to other places in Hood County and alot better than any of the others. The wait staff are really nice and fast and keeps your salsa full and your chips full.
It’s good to live so close to one of the only good Mexican restaurants in town. Service is friendly and fast and the food is consistently pretty good.
Took my dad, stepmom, and brother there for dinner on a Wednesday night about an hour before they closed. The place was clean and reminded me of an old school El Fenix. The food was great, even so close to closing time, and the wait staff were attentive and pleasant while remaining unobtrusive to our family conversation. I can't wait to go back!
Really good staff asked for football on the TV they found the game I asked for had the Mexican plate was good eating
Javier did a great job, the food was excellent and the margaritas tasted excellent
Been living next to this restaurant for over a year. Went in finally and had their lunch menu. Very satisfied with the pricing. Cheapest mexican lunch around. The food was on point. Chips and salsa made to perfection. You can see all waiters/resses hustling and making sure everyone is taken care of. I even had another waiter ask me if I needed anything. Plus a bust boy while he was walking by asking every table how they were. Make this place rich. Everyone needs to eat here. Especially since Acton doesn't have many options. Top notch 5 stars. I give more if I could!
Every time me and my husband have come here the food is great and service is a1. Kara was super friendly and a great waitress! This is our favorite little place for a reasonably priced lunch or meal.
My favorite Mexican food restaurant in Granbury! Sylvia makes the experience better! Such an amazing waitress!
Went there last night and the waiter was great and made really good margaritas
First visit nice staff our server Norma was so friendly she provided a great meal 😋 and excellent service
Best Mexican food in town , hell in 5 county's ! Always friendly smiling faces serving fresh hot food. Never went away disappointed. Beer cold. Margaritas colder. Me fatter.
Great food, great margaritas, and Silvia, our waitress should get some kind of reward for her pleasantness and helpfulness. She is great. Wonderful place
Service is always great, and the vibes are immaculate. The food can range from okay to delicious, just depending on what you get. Their frozen margaritas are AMAZING and delicious!
DELICIOUS! My family and I were visiting from out of state and I looked up this restaurant. As soon as we walked in we were blown away with the most amazing smell with the food, ambiance was so sweet and authentic, the music was fun, service was beyond excellent, our waiter, Santos was kind and came by our table often to ask if we needed anything, he always filled our water without us even asking, our salsa was always refilled and our dinner was so fresh, so delicious, I highly recommend! We had Stack Enchilada, Mexican Dinner, Tacos, and the cactus plate. So fresh, so satisfying and large portions, we had to take some home: I highly recommend!
We had combo fajitas for two. Loved the chicken very tender great flavor. The steak was a little chewy but had great flavor . The queso was awesome not fake( if you know what I mean). Hotsauce was good. Rice and beans were good. Waiter was amazing and attentive. We will be back.
My family of about 15 showed up 45 minutes before closing. They met us at the door and asked how many. When I asked them what time they close, they told us, "Whenever you are done eating. No rush!" Jose and his whole crew made us feel right at home and gave us the greatest customer service. Most places frown if you come in close to closing. They welcomed us with open arms and made it a great night!! They were so professional and friendly. A big thank you to Jose and his whole crew!!!
Excellent food and wait staff, however I can't give it 5 stars due to the fact that there were not any options for vegans. We were with non-vegans and they loved their food, but we couldn't even eat the beans. Most mexican food restaurants offer black beans with no meat in them these days but that wasn't an option here. We live very close by, and there are quite a few vegans in our community, so I highly recommend that some options be added, as it would bring us in again and again!
Large selection of items on menu. We had tuna tacos and stacked enchiladas. Both were real good. The enchiladas came with ranchera or green sauce, the green was QUITE spicy but good. Fresh tasting food and fun atmosphere. Since covid, we were not eating out until recently. We came back here and find the food just as good as always. The staff here is so conscientious and helpful. Try the chipotle lime shrimp tacos, they are great!
Salsa was good. Queso not really. I got the tacos Jalisco. Looked great. The jalapeno to meat ratio was a bit off. Wife got tacos El carbon. She liked. I also got an ala carte burrito. Didn't like. Service and atmosphere was top notch.
This place was pretty good overall. The decor was a little cheesy, but the patio looked nice and the food was good. We took a party of 8, had one waitress and she was great. I had the beef nachos and they were on point. Lots of meat. The guac and sour cream sides were pretty small. Wifey had the stacked enchiladas but she didn't really care for them. The red sauce was blah. Everyone else liked their food and the service was definitely above average. Will return.
I love the service! Sylvia is the best of the best!!! The kitchen staff always gets it right!! Lunch specials are from 11-4 daily 16 choices and the food is delicious.
Is one of my favorite Mexican town. Gave 4 stars only because chips was old but had a nasty old frying taste. I told waitress and cooks, made a fresh batch of chips. Everything was great from the chicken enchiladas to fajita. Will be back
First time going there and I loved my meal. Kinda seated in a crappy table. Really wasn't ment for 5 ppl. But will definitely eat there again
Food with pretty good and service was pretty good. Chips and salsa are also good.
Hubby had fajitas and I had tostadas. Both were good, not great. Salsa was just ok. No fountain drinks but I love Mexican cokes so it worked out. Service was the best part and why I'll go back!
We've been here a handful of times. The food is always good, and the beer is cold. Service was better this time as the last time we were pretty much forgotten about. It gets a little loud in there so if the weather is good, I would recommend the patio.
Jose led the 4 servers who served our group of 30 tonight. He was super friendly and professional and worked hard to make sure everyone enjoyed their food and the experience! We'll definitely be back!
Friendly great service every time we've went there. We like the food and the margaritas, lol
The new location is much cleaner than the old location. The food was just okay. Not bad, but not memorable. Unfortunately, our waitress was not very hospitable. The atmosphere was pretty good, and the pricing is fair.
Food was good but service not good. Had to wait 10 min. Before our waitress came over, she took our order brought our food and never seen her again..we needed drink refills but couldn't find our waitress. I had to get up and find someone to get our check.
The chicken enchiladas are my all time favorite. They have updated the main dining area HOWEVER, the bathroom and flies are so nasty. Bothered us enough that we have decided not to return until we hear those areas have been cleaned up as well.
This restaurant is nearby so we eat there more often than we otherwise would. Like the others around town, the presentation is nice but the food is disappointingly mild. But the place is nearly always crowded, catering to a generation and to migrants from other states that never had the chance to taste real, spicy, tasty Tex Mex where you sweat while you're eating. If you can spoon in the salsa like it is soup, or chug-a-lug it, what a pity, and you can do that at Don Melquias' and every other "Tex-Mex" place around town.
The food was great. The service was the problem. My husband was told he could have fijatia meat and got a different meat. Told them not to put cheese on top, and they did anyways. He ate it cause it was thay big of a deal. The main problem was they didn't come out in tell him they couldn't give him that type of. Then we go to pay and they charged him for something different and he asked them why and the lady at the register said it's not my problem you will have to talk to someone else and was littlerly walking around saying that man is mad (my husband). He wasn't mad. he was just asking. We paid for what we ate and didn't ask for a price adjustment.
So I really wanted to love this. However the food was just okay for me and my husband did not like it at. Let me explain. I got the chimichanga with chicken fajita meat. My issue was it was more onion then chicken. My husband got the enchilada bandala ( forgive my spelling) and his chicken ones were also mostly onion and green peppers.
Pretty decent little lunch spot. No frills but the $6.95 lunch plate was good. I had a chicken enchilada with sour cream sauce, a beef Taco, and beans/rice. I would go back but it needs refreshing. Could be spruced up on lighting, interior finish out & cosmetics
Admittedly I'm hard to impress. I really wanted to like this place more. The waitress that helped us was a 10/10. She listened to the changes I requested and checked in frequently. The food was just okay. Portion size was good. We got the street tacos and customized burrito without the tortilla. Chips and salsa and sides were eh. Bathroom needs a good cleaning.
Great atmosphere, but the food is overrated. The fajita meat was dry and chewy. Our best guess was it was several days old and reheated. The rice was gross. Everything else was average, and didn't really stand out either way.
Nice place, quaint. Food is decent. It seemed as though our waitress was having a bad day. But the food arrived on time and was not bad. The elderly lady cashing everyone out seemed pretty miserable. Not sure what the issue was. I am very torn on returning. We will see
It was an incredibly average place to be sure. My group all agreed the food was okay to bland and the interior was a mismatch of vaguely "Mexican" designs. Also, let's not get started on the terrible parking. It's pretty bad, and without a cheap price tag to make you feel better. The only thing anyone really said positive towards it was: "At least you don't have to drive in to town."
Sylvia is the only good thing about this place now days. Service has gone down hill, to go orders result in partial orders and smaller portions. Place used to be the best Granbury had to offer, now it's a complete joke.
Had better luck at previous location. We went there a little late one night. No service at all and no one seemed to care. In fact service was so bad, the food didn’t even matter. There were several wait staff folks walking around and a few sitting at their own table wrapping knives /forks etc but no one even considered we were guests and needed service. Such a great location. They need new mgmt IMO. May give them one more chance.
We have eaten here before and it was great (the only reason im giving 2 stars instead of 1). But today was not a great experience. My mother-in-law got enchiladas and after one bite it didn’t taste right, something was just off. I could smell it on the meat (she did let the waitress know and they took it off the check). I had already eaten my tamales by this time. Mine tasted fine but within a few hours I had thrown up and started having stomach cramps. My husband is not feeling well and neither is his grandfather. The place was packed so I’m sure we are not the only ones feeling unwell after eating there today! Really hoping I did not get food poisoning.
Food was not good, service was terrible. 4 parties came after our party ate and left before we got our dinner. Had to ask 3 waiters for chips and waited 20 min for drinks.
The wait staff wasn't friendly or attentive. We Had to ask for refills on everything!! Furthermore wish we had better review as we were on our way out of town. Plus, slim Pickens in Acton. Ordered ground Beef taco salad. It was the most GREASY salad I've ever had. It was leaking grease all into my plate and the taco shell was STALE. Husbands steak fajita was so horrible he only took 2 bites then pushed it away. I got sick at one point. Brought our dissatisfaction up to the waiter & she Said she talked to Mgr. And wasn't going offer us a discount nor refund because we took a bite of the trash. Will not ever go back. Highly recommend you going to El Chico in Granbury.
Love the food but in my to go container was hardly any rice & barely any cheese on my beans. That's not good, as rice & beans are dirt cheap, why skimp. As usual, I'll be cooking my own at home.
The service, food and hospitality from Mi Familia is better. The beer and Margaritas were cold, so was my rice. In fact so was the whole table. My fajitas were not sizzling. When my son ate 2 small bites out of the the tiny tamales(which didn't taste great) he didn't like them and we were told "sorry we can't take em back it costs us too much money" We've given this place many opportunities. Unlikely that we will ever be back. Sould we ever return it will be to remind ourselves that there are many other good places to get Tex Mex. Like taco bell or Taco Buneo Or even Taco D. Like every place there are always times where the food and service are hit and miss. I really hope this place can regain its mojo.
Went there on a Tuesday night. Stood for at least 10 minutes waiting to be seated. Once seated it took someone 10 to acknowledge me, others were being taken care of immediately. Food was ok. Very little sour cream and when I asked for more they charged me $3. Hostess refilled my water and when I tried to find someone for a check everyone was hugging the locals goodbye. I took it that locals were more important than visitors. While we come into Granbury/Acton once or twice a year, and lived there for 20+ years, but if you're not a local, I'm not sure you're welcome.
Wanted to try something new. Found this spot and went in. Place was very cute and decorated well. Had the coolest chairs if you sat at a table. The only thing killing he atmosphere was someone in the kitchen that was ringing a bell NON-STOP. Most annoying sound while you are trying to eat. Margarita's we're good but served in a plastic schooner which kinda changes the taste for me. Queso came out and tasted like it was straight out of a can. Salsa and chips were really good so that made up for it. Food came out fast and was just so so. Nothing remarkable and my wife and father thought there's was a little dry. Over all was not a bad evening except for that NON-STOP bell. I think I can still hear it. Probably will not be going back to this place but it was packed with regulars so there must be something to this place.
Before this restaurant moved into its new location, we went and ate at the former location. We were so blessed to get the laziest, and downright rudest so-called "waitress" named Nancy, to serve us, yet she didn't serve us at all! She gave us attitude the one time she came to the table to tale our order and acted like she was to put out to even do that. She never checked on us once and gave a rude ass crappy attitude when she brought the check and which we didn't understand what was being charged for because all I had was prices but nothing saying what the prices were for. We asked her to explain our ticket because we were confused and couldn't read it right and she rolled her eyes and gave an attitude about that as well treating us like we were some kind of idiots because they don't know how to print a correct receipt so people can see what they're being charged for! I will never go back so long as she works there beware of Nancy!
Had dinner at this place last night I got severe food poisoning and three of the people at my table also were sick. It’s crazy to think that at a restaurant this could happen. They were super busy and when I called him today on Sunday to mention it, they acted like it was no big deal.
Just can't find a good Mexican Restaurant in the area. Service was so-so, the servers tables were too far apart for one thing. The enchiladas were eatable but not great, not even good by any standards. I ordered Ranchero and there was Salsa Verde on it instead, which I do not overly like because hot takes the good taste from the real taste of the food. They didn't seem to care they messed up at all. Out of the five or so tables taken there were about a dozen tables that hadn't even been bused yet, which made the restaurant look unclean. I think it would be a great place to socialize but not if you want good service and food. They should also think about keeping the patio clean even though they don't use it, since you can see it from the windows inside. Looks really dirty and nasty. Maybe this is why their score is only a 3.9 and sure to come down more in time. Seems like the owners would read these and up their gameplans. We will see if they even read this. Before I was a nurse I was a restaurant manager and district manager as well as a consultant. What I think it needs is 1. 110 percent customer service. If you think a table has a problem then the manager should visit it. I did not even see a manager. 2. Less mistakes which is easy to take care. Double verify everything. 3. Bus people to keep the place clean and in order. 4. Sections for the wait staff instead of just letting them rotate tables in any section which apparently they do. 5. Less conversation between the employees and more sensitivity to the customers needs. 6. Clean the doors, crevices to the doors and corners and inside outside on the windows. The place looks dirty. You will be closed within a year if you do not turn it around.
Horrible customer service! We sat outside for 15-20 minutes and nobody even acknowledged us! Got up and told the hostess that nobody has even come up to us to get our drink order and she told me the waitress is outside with the pony tail so I went a sat back down but she kept walking past us and helping her regulars that just sat down instead of us! I tried to look at her to tell her we were ready to order but she intensionally didn’t look at us! We just got up and left! Very unprofessional!
Sat at the bar, "bartender" asked me if I needed it a table or booth, bar is in need of a deep clean. Bartender had a bad attitude, the thing why I didn't even tried the food was the fact that they don't offer WiFi. The year is 2024 and you would expect wifi in a place with bad reception. The worst part was the attitude.
Horrible service, don't order the shrimp tacos, barely any shrimp in them, for that matter one didnt have any the other 2 had a small shrimp chopped up, i told them I wasn't happy with my meal and I ordered something else. They still charged me for both meals. No class in this restaurant, we will never go back nor will my relatives and friends. Lost business for 8.99, pretty sad. Update March 2024 We broke down and started going back, the food generally is pretty good. However, for some reason they changed the way they make their enchilada Banderas, rather than as stated on their menu putting each sauce on each enchilada, verde on chicken, sour cream on chicken and chili con Carne on the beef. Now they put it on all the enchiladas the opposite way with each enchiladas getting all the sauces, I asked them kindly if they would make it the way the menu indicated. She said the cooks hassle her about changes, I told her I just want it like the menu says. So they reluctantly did so. I asked her where is the guacamole, she said it doesn't come with it, I said your menu says it does. She came back with a teaspoon of guacamole and said that is the last time they would give me guacamole and that the menu was an error. I told her then they should black it out with a sharpie and that whatever their menu says they should be serving it that way. This restaurant may have good food, but they treat their customers horribly. Not going back ever!!!
I wish I had something good to say, but it was truly terrible. The restaurant was absolutely dirty (thick visible dust on the fans and Knick-knacks). I had steak fajitas and the steak was so tough I could not even chew it. Would recommend Garcia’s or El Chico instead.
I would totally give this restaurant a 0 if I could. I was highly recommended to try this restaurant. So we decided as a date night to try it out. The service till we got our food wasn't to bad. Then we got our food. The server switched our plates around and gave my husband my food and I got his. When I told the server about the mistake she told me it was the kitchens fault. She said she would fix it then came back telling us the kitchen would not remake the food and it was just going to have to be that way. This is the worst service I have ever had. They won't even refund me my money for the food that was switched. I will never recommend this place to anyone.
I went to this restaurant to get an order to go. Sat there for about 15 minutes, so I asked a waitress if anybody going to take my order and she said not me. They were not busy either, so I sat there for 15 more minutes .Finally I got up and came home. Same waitress about 5years ago when I went to get order to go she wouldn't give me my change she told me that was her tip. So I guess I won't be going back.
I used to love coming here, but stopped after having several bad experiences in a row. My husband and I had terrible customer service a couple of years ago and stopped going. But this past year I tried it 3 more times and it hasn’t gotten any better. I tried to go out to lunch today with my kids and it took forever to get seated. Once I did we were set in the darkest seat, the lights either weren’t turned on or had all burnt out. I wasn’t provided a sling for my car seat and the booth wasn’t wide enough to set him in, so he had to sit on the small table. We waited for over 10 minutes for a server to come take our drink order, and bring chips, and no one ever showed. So I got up and walked out. That’s the first time I’ve ever walked out of a restaurant, but it was obvious no one was going to be coming. The owner seen us leaving and said, “sorry we are just way too short handed.” She knew we weren’t getting waiting on and never once came by to do it herself. That was it for me I won’t be going back.
This was the second time going here, first time there were pennies in the food..called to tell them and the manager wouldn't get on the phone. Second time it was the wrong food and tasted like dog food.. will not go back
Our server Tiffany was high as a kite. I have never experienced service like this. We waited for a server after being seated and boy did we get one. Her eyes were so red and barely open as she greeted us. I really could not believe the management was letting her represent their restaurant in her condition. She got our order and drinks then proceeded to ask us walking by if we were her table? Like if you can’t remember who your waiting on you shouldn’t be at work. She told us she had been in the back eating donuts and forgot about us. Repeatedly saying to us she needed to get her life together. Asking us when she walked by if we orders queso or guacamole. Yes Tiffany you need to get your life together! The food was pretty bland with no flavor. I wouldn’t waste your money.
This place really sucked . Not only did the staff make me feel uncomfortable but so did the guess . I'm what you call extreme ADHD so when I talk I move my body. And I just cleaned 5 homes and packed 2 of them . So now my ADHD is really kicking right . A whole table went to the manager and told them I was high . I'll never eat here again plus our waitress was rude as hell.
A wife and I went there 2-13-25 and couldn't finish our meals. She left to go to the car because she felt like she was going to puke. They had some drain flies there. Everyone in the place was swatting at them. These flies live in sewer lines. I told the cashier about the drain flies. We didn't take any to go boxes it's just too gross. I hope they get that fixed. Needless to say I won't be back for a while a long while.
On a Thursday night, at around 5pm, my wife and I made it in town to visit family and noticed this restaurant was open (it had not been the last couple of visits). We had heard good things about it and we're excited to try it out. After seated and having the hostess bring us chips and salsa, we sat with 3 different servers passing by us and not acknowledge us. The kicker was when the table behind us had their drink AND food order taken, even though the had been seated 5-10 mins after we arrived. That was our sign to give the place a pass....good luck!
Will not be back they charge you a dollar to put cold onions on a warm enchilada RIDICULOUS not a enchilada without onion. Tostada so soggy you couldnt pick it up. .
Very disappointed with the service, very unprofessional in my opinion. We ordered Fajitas to go and when I got home with the food there were no tortillas, no cheese and no sour cream. These are basic items that should be put with the fajitas. When I called, the girl I spoke with stated she was new and said she didn’t know the managers name and he was not currently available. I asked for someone in charge and she commented that there was no one in charge that they were working as a team. But I question that since part of the “team” failed to complete our order. And why is there not a team leader? I was not offered any resolution except a “sorry”, or having to get out again and drive back to the restaurant. This is not good business and from some of the other reviews I’ve read the ones in charge do not respond to customer concerns. If this is how you treat your customers, I will take my business elsewhere.
Hate to make this review, but I hate it even more I did it a WEEK later. Strap in cause it gets good. 10/8/25 | Time Paid 8:26pm After getting, mediocre at best, table service, I did not tip to this waitress likings and she made it very clear. She forgot whose drink orders & food orders go to where, forgot a drink but later got it for us, at her own pace. She brought a Margarita to the under 21+ year old sitting with us when she didn’t order it. Took too long for refills, minimal interactions and Manners even though we were being respectful and polite, she showed very little ANYTHING. But here’s where it gets WORSE. As we have already paid & exited the building and into our car, she comes to the window, receipts in hand, and proceeds to confront us about the tip I left. I have tipped her “bad” before because of the same mediocre service that’s came ONLY from her. She asked if I felt her service was poor and why, I gave my explanation, she then proceeds to get very defensive and personal, she attempted to bring my friends into the situation when it was clearly a her and I problem. (Funny enough in her rant, she mentioned that she isn’t like any of the other servers and ”so what” that she does the bare minimum, literally came from her mouth. So she even admitted to doing the bare minimum.) She was very rude, and to have the AUDACITY to leave the building, on the clock and go to someone’s personal property to confront them about OPTIONAL gratuity. Tips aren’t required, and if you know you did the bare minimum then you get the bare minimum. *she tried to tell me I would do the same thing, but no, I’ve been in the food industry for a very long time, from the bottom-management, you brush it off and move on to the next customer, talk bad about me to the staff or something. Don’t go up to someone with the intention to confront them, while they are in their own space.* BUT WAIT THERES MORE! I asked for my receipt and she said no, I asked for the manager and she told me to follow her inside (I’m not leaving to be in the open with someone’s who’s mad and clearly confrontational.) Here’s why she said No to the receipt. What was originally supposed to be a $59 total AFTER ME TIPPING, somehow turned into $69 total….explain that. Hand writing clear as day, so guess who stole my money. The crazy server lady. And because I have no receipt, I can’t do anything but take the Lose. I’ve tried to reach out last Friday, this past Monday and Tuesday and the manager has not been present or available, or so I’m told. So if someone would like to reach out and we can have a meeting in person or over the phone to try to settle this issue, that would be amazing. Sucks I can’t remember her name, I do know the first 5 letters of her last name is Villa****, unsure of her first name but I want to say Norma maybe? Anyways the last name is definitely unique, so tip her like $10000 so she won’t mess with you. End of Experience. Food is amazing and the other staff are always friendly and helpful! It sucks she had to put this mark on your business but I can no longer look at you the same until some sort of closure is met.
Ordered chicken and beef enchiladas, both were bland. Asked for cilantro and onion, got a bowl of each charged $1 a piece. I told them about the enchiladas and they discounted my bill $.89. I worked in restaurants for 11 years, so i can see when a restaurant cares more about money than service and quality. The $.89 discount is insulting. Never coming back.
Stop before you eat here. We were giving it the second try after the first time wasn’t that great and this happened ✔️This place is absolutely the rudest restaurant and the food quality is pathetic not only that we ordered tostadas combination which I believe should be one tostada beef one tostada chicken. Instead, they put half-and-half on the same tostada the waiter Bryson said he would take it off, and he had never seen it made like that when we get to the register to pay the bill after returning the tostadas, the tostadas are still on the ticket Sara, the girl at the front told me that she called the owner, and he said because we ordered them in a combination which if you had common sense that would be one of each going on the same tostada I said if you’re charging me for the tostadas, where are the tostadas we returned them to the kitchen and you disposed of them. Why am I paying for them the girl Sarah mouth off at me and basically said to get over it the food quality is disgusting. The owner who they called is absolutely disrespectful charging a customer for an item. They didn’t receive you are absolutely horrible and no one should ever do business with you, I am not only disgusted in the behavior of the staff, but being charge for some thing I didn’t even receive shame on you Don beware of this restaurant do not eat here. Save yourself the headache the unprofessionalism in the poor food quality and the staff is disgusting 🤢 and rude and over the top unpleasant. I would never eat here ever again, and will tell all of my friends in the local area on Facebook, and other platforms of how gross this restaurant is while doing business, and the staff to treat any customer like they were in the wrong when you brought tostadas that are supposed to be combination one of each, and then said you were taking them off the bill, but you didn’t and then treated me rudely at the register never eat at this restaurant. The food quality is poor and the temperature is way off for a real traditional Mexican restaurant.
