I don’t know why we haven’t tried eating here. We have said for a long time we wanted to try their fish. On Friday September 5th we finally tried their fish and shrimp. WOW!!! Best catfish and shrimp we’ve had in along time! The fries were delicious and the coleslaw was amazing. The portions were unbelievable(had to get a to go box). Service was great! It’s going to be one of our go to places from now on. See y’all soon.

Ivory was fantastic for the service. Good food that was hot and fresh. The hush puppies were my favorite. The chicken was okay didn't care for the breading. I feel like it needed to have different breading than the shrimp. It had very little seasoning in both the shrimp and the breading for the chicken. It is an old Burger King so the interior is a bit dated. They did add some boots to where it was more of a restaurant setting. Refills are supposed to be with your server, but they do have a place where you can refill free for drinks. I had a Coke which paired well with my order. The french fries were battered well and tasted good. Overall definitely recommend Sam's for an affordable dinner, lunch, or brunch. You will definitely get full! They also usually give you an extra shrimp if you order shrimp either grilled or fried. They do offer grilled options as well as fried options which is nice. A water cup with your order is $1. I feel like if you're spending the money to eat they shouldn't charge you for a water cup. Sam's is a great dining experience I recommend you try.

The food at this place is absolutely badass. The gizzards were hot and seasoned just right. The red beans and rice were the best I’ve had away from Louisiana. Customer service was on point

We absolutely love coming here to eat! Ivory has become our FAVORITE waitress! She's very attentive and so personable. Such a sweet person! And the food...wow, it's the best catfish and fried oysters in the area!!! They also have a specials menu with great prices, ask for it! Thanks to the whole staff there. We'll be back as often as we can.

Sam's Southern Eatery, is my go to place. For Fry Fish & Shrimp. You can get them Grilled also. They also serve Burgers and various like Sandwiches. They don't have a drive thru speaker box, but you can phone in your order & pickup at the drive thru window. I guess you can pull up to the drive thru window and order from there. Just would have to pull up when someone comes to pickup their order.

The fish smelled so good, I could barely keep my hands off of it before I got it home. The flavor did not disappoint. The service is friendly. The restaurant is clean. This place hits the spot.

Sam's is great food and their service is usually pretty decent. The atmosphere is lacking. It's clean but not really inviting. Their is rarely a line and their kitchen is quick. Drinks are huge to match their portion size. Don't skip on the HUSH PUPPIES!! They have a kick and will leave you wanting more to take home.

Jumbo shrimp and Fried green tomatoes were absolutely delicious. Chicken wings were okay. We would stop again when driving through Amarillo.

I’d give the place 5 stars but the owner refuses to accept that his business is in the SOUTH and okra is a side down here. Not an appetizer. If I ever come in and he’s changed the menu… instant 5 stars across the board. But his side options are the absolute WORST!! So based on that only worth 3 stars on a good day…

Average seafood restaurant. Staff not the friendliest ever. Waitress seemed to rush us. Pretty good variety. Plenty of choices. Lots of fried things. Needed a few more sides. I did not understand why okra was not a side choice. I had to get it as an appitizer. More than i needed and more expensive. The chicken tenders had a kick if you like that. Have jambalaya which lots of people love. Not somewhere i would go again. Not too impressive to me.

Food used to be very good a year ago not good. I have seen the prices. Go up twice three times since this place has been open and the food is no good make you sick and you don’t even have to eat all of it.

Like most terrible restaurants "Sams" is terrible at updating anything relating to their business operation. An order was placed on 12/24 at 8:00pm . The "restaurant" confirmed said order within 5 minutes. I arrived to the restaurant and the establishment was dark ...CLOSED. With nothing on the building detailing their opening-closing for the holiday . Fast fwd to Saturday 12/27 I placed two phone calls to the business. The first call they told me "the boss" hasn't arrived yet call back in 1 hr. I gave them 1.5 hrs just incase "the boss" wasn't a punctual person. I called back and they preceded to tell me " Our boss said he cant refund the money to your card , but he can either refund it to you in cash or "re-make" the order(that was never made).I chose to just have the order made and I sent someone to pick it up while i worked. Over the course of and hr i received 4 phone calls from "sams eatery". The first two asking if i was coming to get the food and the next three from the manager. I missed those three i was busy . When i checked my phone i noticed I received an email stating a refund had been sent to my bank account. I checked my account and a total of $0.00 was added from "sams eatery". Then about 10 minutes later I received a phone call from said "boss" who was over the top hostile because as he said " I called the company and requested a re fund . So he's going to be blocking my number" and he hung up in my face. I imediatly called back because at first thought I like the resturant . But after being disrespected and having accusations thrown at me by an ill mannered "boss" i choose to write this review . Eat somewhere else , avoid the hassle . Avoid egregious , disrespectful banter . And just eat ANY WHERE ELSE.

Cynthia the manager is poor at customer service. I ordered over $50 of food directly on Sam’s website. Delivery driver who is contracted by Sam’s brought me a pizza. The delivery driver said he would make it right and went back to the store and said he would come back with the correct order. The gentleman calls me when he was leaving. After 30 minutes goes by and no delivery. I called the gentleman and no answer. So I looked out side and the cats were eating our food. No knock on the door. I called the man again, no answer. I proceeded to call Sam’s and spoke to Cynthia the manager and let her know my frustration of two mistakes and she proceeded to tell me not her fault. Let’s just say the call didn’t go so well after that. Their website, their contractors, their responsibility to make it right, instead of acting like no fault of her own. I am next reaching out to Mike Othman who is next in line.
