One of the best sandwich shops in town, great variety, quality and price (under $10!). Not overstuffed New York style, but with lots of fresh ingredients.

I have walked by this place dozen's of times. I have never felt compelled to go in but today my boss and i decided to give it a try and omg i am so glad we did! So delicious! The owner was so friendly and funny. We left happy and satisfied. I definitely recommend! oh and did i mention how affordable it is?!

Great, simple, reasonable lunch sandwiches, including banh mi. Good coffee/espresso drinks. Bagel breakfast sandwiches have saved my mornings on several occasions. Not sure if currently open due to COVID but really hope they're able to survive. Wonderful service and community feel when you see how they interact with the Ed Roberts campus patrons. There is a special needs art area just behind the cafe kitchen area. Compassion is apparent.

I love their breakfast sandwichs! The customer service is fabulous the ladies and Mr. Ta greet you ever morning when you enter the cafe. Nice warm atmosphere!

The owner of this cafe saved me by allowing me to charge my phone very early in the morning when my phone run out of power and I couldn’t find a power outlet all the way from the Oakland Airport to the Ashby BART station. Super fast service from a family run cafe. Great selection and breakfast bagels & pastries. sandwiches and a couple of salad options for lunch. Lots of coffee, tea and cold drink options. And they remember all their regulars...

Great service, hard working employees. The Vietnamese sandwiches are great and tasty. They do sometimes run out of coffee (or my Danish) in the morning though so you have to wait a little. They can do any kind of bagel (bacon n eggs, lox, etc...), any type of croissant filling, etc... Nice place for breakfast or lunch to go.

I've only dropped by a few times so far, but should be doing so more often. It's only a few blocks away and on one of my main local routes. It's also right across the street from a BART station. It's a spacious, clean, airy room set back from the street on an open plaza with a wall of windows facing west and unobstructed view. The menu doesn't include actually "cooked now" fare, so it's mainly coffee/teas, sandwiches, bakery items and snacks, but a lot of people"s favorites.

Good cafe for quick bites. They have outlets and a few tables so it's a decent place to work or chill for a bit. They don't have restrooms which is kind of a bummer. The server was really kind and friendly and I would come back just to say hi to him.
