It's a lovely coffee shop in the Park Slope neighborhood. The owner truly cares about the shop and ensures the environment is welcoming and friendly. There are plenty of seats and a beautiful outdoor space. In addition to coffee, they offer a handful of options for pastries and sweets. If you want to take a break or work on your laptop, definitely check it out.

The latte is exceptional. Perfect amount of froth/ milk. I like the taste. Smooth, but not overpowering. Very clean inside. Lots of space for solo people tp work on their laptops. Courtyard area out back is a double bonus! Will visit again.

I recently visited Velvette Black and I had a wonderful experience! I ordered an ice latte and a brownie, and they were both absolutely delicious. What really stood out to me, however, was the atmosphere of the coffee shop. The space was cozy and inviting, with comfortable seating and plenty of natural light. The decor was stylish and modern. The staff were also incredibly friendly and welcoming, which added to the overall positive vibe of the place. Overall, I would highly recommend Velvette Black to anyone looking for a top-notch coffee experience in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. I will definitely be returning soon!

I like this place sooo much! Spacy and chilled with good coffee and treats. Hidden gem in the area! ☕️🥛✨Cappuccino was really outstanding. The taste of coffee was gentle and smooth. And the foamed milk was creamy with micro bobbles. The chocolate caramel crunch was flourless. It was rich for sweet-tooth person. It crumbled, not too moist but not dry as well.

This place is a hidden gem in Park Slope. The service is amazing, place is clean and very cozy. Vahid and Kirill, both know what to recommend and the coffee is fantastic. They use high quality coffee beans in the shop. Highly recommend this coffee shop if you are around the neighborhood.

Almost all the bakeries they offer are freshly baked at house each morning. Their croissants deserve special mention. It was crispy, buttery and soft at the same time. So well-balanced and rich in favor. I really loved it. Their lemon ginger tarte was also very good. It was a shame that i couldn't check out the coffee here as it was late afternoon. Hope i could try this place again so that i could have some coffee

I love the Baristas here it's my go-to spot I made the accident of going to the wrong place earlier today and throughout the drink and immediately came over here and it was absolutely perfection thank you so much for making such an amazing experience every time I have no idea why I tried going elsewhere

Tried so many cafes in this area as I wait for my kids two afternoons a week. The treats are the best I’ve found around here, the tea menu is simple but high quality, the music is always nice and it is so lovely and unpretentious.

I have basically become a regular here and it’s great! They have really good matcha lattes which is sort of hard to find outside of specialty stores. And their sandwiches are pretty affordable and cookies are delicious to boot. Very neighborly vibes ❤️

Flat white was okay, plenty of great coffee in the city, a bit surprised by this 4.8 rating.

I love this place! Great pastries and lots of space. The only issue I have is that there's a guy that works there who, whenever I order a pastry, will go out of his way to get me the smallest one. He'll literally reach for the closest one, and if it's larger than a smaller one, he'll pivot. I'm not a fan of that kind of lousy service. Everything else is great!

I’ve been here before, and it’s normally been fine, but I just walked in here to order some beans and a flat white, got to the front of the queue, said hi to the guy with the spectacles and the red jumper, and got completely blanked in return. I’m not sure what I’ve done to piss this guy off.
