Bolognese was delicious
I love this place it’s been my favorite pizza in nyc for years <3
Really cool staff and delicious pizza!! I’m in the neighborhood on Thursdays and always make a stop on the way home to NJ. Yum✌🏾
Really solid New York neighborhood slices and specialties. Margherita sauce is way better than you would expect from a non-brick oven place. Crust is thin but crispy with just enough chewy below the sauce and cheese.
We had a great time. Angel was our server and he was incredibly kind and accommodating. I got the Penne Alle Vodka lunch special, and it was delicious. Highly recommend! And thanks to Angel for such incredible service.
The pizza was pretty good, but chiming in here to specify that I had the best eggplant parm I have ever had in my life here. Ordered it on a whim and WOW. The perfect thickness to not be soggy, great sauce, generous amounts of cheese that doesn't overwhelm. And it comes with a huge helping of pasta, making it more than a few meals. Garlic knots were really great too, especially dipped in the red sauce that came on the eggplant parm. Pizza not the greatest I've had but would certainly order it again!
I went with my fiance to Danny's pizzeria and dine in because I love the way they make their pizzas and I love the service and the people that work there are so humble and nice treat their customers with respect and the prices are reasonable so I recommend anybody or anyone if you want good tasting Pizza Danny's Pizzeria it's the place thank you so much to all the workers at Danny that continue bringing traditional Pizza to the community your friend and good customer.. Richie from Williamsburg Brooklyn New York..❤🙏
Eating here was the only time I enjoyed pizza from New York, I was blown away! Fair prices and the pizza was well made, not greasy at all. Friendly service as well.
We’ve picked up orders from them before, but we tried out their delivery service through their website. Quick delivery, delicious pizza as always, and the ability to tip on my card before checkout was great.
All food was great. Ordered slices and meatball sub…. But kept having to ask for things and felt like my sister and I were a bother, I get it - it was a busy time. I will go back! :)
I’ve ordered from here a few times and always love the red sauce. Just consistently good food in the neighborhood. Today their customer service blew me away. Something was missing from my order, and before I even noticed it wasn’t there, I got a call that it was being delivered with an “extra treat” - dessert! Talk about service!!!! Love you Danny’s and the food was excellent.
They were really clean the pizza was delicious. VERY ATTENTIVE. LOVE IT.
Best gluten free pizza that’s not too overpriced in the area. I get mine without cheese because I can’t do gluten and dairy and any time it accidentally had cheese they made me a new one no problem. Love this place. Mussels Marinara also surprisingly good.
I hadn’t been to Danny’s since I was a little girl and I came in tonight and was absolutely blown away by both the service and the food! I ordered a grandma slice, an order of garlic knots and a cannoli to go.. everything was absolutely phenomenal, I was speechless. The guys that work there are just amazing and make you feel right at home. If I could give you guys more stars I absolutely would, you guys deserve them all. Keep up the superb work, see you soon ❤️
This is one of the best pizza restaurants I have ever had. During our search for dinner, we stumbled across Danny’s pizza restaurant, I am so glad that we did. We had a large pepperoni (it was very large) some garlic knots and a few slices of cheese pizza. The service was extremely friendly and the food was amazing. When ever we come back to New York I will make sure to stop by and have some of their pizza again.
I ordered the chicken parm, penne vodka, beef patty, and the salad with the meats on it. And it was absolutely awesome! Also it was only $39 for all this! But definitely call your order in as it's cheaper than the online ordering apps. The food taste great, it was super quick and the staff was friendly. Thank y'all again and I will definitely be back!
Amazing food and great people—they rarely get anything wrong, but if they do, they’ll make it up to you.
I love this place. Any time I’m in the area I stop to get pizza and I live in NJ! Great and friendly staff. Wish it was in my local area if it was I’d eat at least once a week here
Best pizza in BK and the world!
One of the last neighborhood pizzerias left in what was once a working class neighborhood, but has long been gone because of gentrification. The staff is wonderful. The slices are great and affordable. Tthey have a little restaurant area in the back that's just amazing and cozy and the staff is wonderful, friendly and welcoming. They take credit cards and there is no minimum. It's a great place. I go there every night before work and during work with my co-workers, and they treat everyone like royalty!
This is a great place. We sat in the restaurant side and had pizza, sangria, grilled chicken salad and calamari. All was delicious. Would definitely return. I asked for eggplant on my pizza and while that was not in their lsit of toppings they accommodated me. Their sangria is homemade and worth trying. It was a tad sweeter than I like but that did not bother me.
My favorite pizza in Nyc. I used to live next door and moved to Chicago 2 years ago. Visited recently and still love it. I usually get extra sauce on top because I really like the sauce. Pizza is closer to chewy with a little crunch and it’s defiantly my style. They make other great stuff like salads!
I love this place. Eggplant parm is perfectly done, vodka sauce is amazing, and their side of meatballs is absolutely delicious. My husband’s favorite is their primavera, which is always perfectly seasoned and full of fresh vegetables. Highly recommended.
Stopped in for a slice, and the young lady, Kate was one of the most considerate servers, cashiers I’ve ever encountered in NYC. Incredibly polite and gracious. Pizza was pretty good. Just pretty good pizza
I generally walk by to get a slice a couple times a week. Everyone is super friendly and smiling a lot. The pizza is good! Been going here for at least 10 years and it’s always been on point.
I love Danny’s. If I ever have any issue with my food, which never happens, I speak with the owner, who is always there and happy to speak with you. That’s why I like going to Danny’s, it’s family owned, I always get treated with respect and I consider this place to be an establishment for the East Williamsburg area. If you haven’t already gone, you should go!!!
Best slices, best people in the neighborhood. Our favorite pizza night and fast slice pizzeria
I grew up in Williamsburg and this is the best slice I’ve had in the entire city and beyond.
Classic pizza and wings. Heros and pasta are always incredible
The service was fast and friendly, and the place had a great atmosphere whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout. Easily one of the best pizzas I’ve had in a while. Definitely coming back for more!
Best local spot, friendly staff and delicious pizza.
Excellent service for so many years i been eating here
You really can't go wrong with a pie from Danny's. The specials are great and the classics are deeply on point. I religiously order from here even though I'm not in Bushwick. I love Danny's!!!!
It was recommended that I order from Danny’s for our company events. Food is solidly good and even better, they are so reliable with their deliveries. When planning an event, reliability is KEY. I usually order pizza but most recently ordered subs and salads for a 70 person event. I placed the order online but followed up with a call just to make sure they received it. I don’t know who I spoke to but I appreciated that he recognized our company’s name and said he was delivering it himself so I felt so comfortable that this order wasn’t going to fall through the cracks. Arrived on time! everyone loved the subs! Very satisfied customer!
A really wonderful pizzeria! Right next to the L train subway platform. Prices are super cheap without sacrificing their wonderful quality of ingredients. The outer crust is crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. Inner crust is crispy but has a nice classic flop. Pizza is not overly greasy! Honestly 10/10 would recommend. Owner and staff were very friendly!
I mainly started coming here out of convenenience since it's right outside of the L stop. However, I've come to believe it's one of my favorite slice places in Brooklyn. The grandma is top notch but they also do a chicken Caesar slice that is great and not really done anywhere else. Ingredients and crust are great. I always come back when I'm in the area.
Awesome PIZZA! This is quintessential New York pie at its finest, family owned with a Danny Sr. and a Danny Jr., the latter of whom I got to meet today at lunch (pictured). Had a large pie with sausage and pepperoni, piping hot and fairly dripping with delicious mix of cheese. I'm betting that sauce is a family secret. This treasure in Brooklyn is quaint and clean and the staff friendly, welcoming and smiling warmly. I never eat 4 slices of pizza, but I just couldn't stop! Danny's will certainly make my top ten all time favorites!
I’ve loved this place for years. My favorite slices are the Vodka margherita and the Grandma. Must-tries!
Incredible pizza, incredible staff, incredibly cozy to share a slice with someone. This is true New York pizza and it’s right next to the train station, an absolute must if you’re in the area or order from home!
They are always pleasant and easy to talk to. When I call and indecisive I'm never rushed. There are many pizzeria closer to me yet Danny's feels like home. The kids love their pizza and it's never a disappointment. They are consistent with their flavor and authenticity. Hands down one of the best in Brooklyn 🤌🏿
I went to Danny’s in 2015 and I ordered a whole pie . The only time in my life I ever had a chicken ceaser pizza. I’m British and I had never seen a pizza so big. I’d love to come back again one day I still tell people about it now
Got margherita pizza and a beef patty here after a show. Awesome NYC pizza place highly recommend
Loved my visit to the shop with my sis , the garlic knots and slices definitely hit the spot I recommend this pizza shop if your in the area the guys will take care of you happy new year yall thank you
In all of the 5 boroughs of NYC Danny's is THE BEST! And I've had them all! The service, the food, the friendly 'good people' atmosphere! There's no place like Danny's! And as an Italian born! I know my Pizza!!!
Great neighborhood pizza joint! Staff and owner are always super nice and the grandma pizza never disappoints!
I used to live across the block over 15 years ago and I still think about the sausage parm hero. Sometime ill consider 20 hour long flights just to go home and re visit the neighborhood. lol Any thing I've ever had here was good
Pizza was new yowk style pizza and wouldn't have it any other way, prices wasn't bad service was good. Alittle little small, but nice gives it a charming personality
Danny’s is a local institution, with a lot of much deserved local fandom. Their pizzas are some of the best in city, the staff is always friendly and smiling, they discount pizzas to our local schools, and the list goes on. Keep it going guys!!!
Shocked that this 40+ year institution has less than 1k reviews! This is some OG NYC pizza done *well* before L’industrie and others started to gentrify everyday pizza spots. Crust is thin, some bubbles, chewy, and flavorful. I got the vodka margarita pizza which had such an amazing sauce. Even the plain cheese slice was great! Slices are large but nice and thin. They also have vegan cheese, patties, and garlic knots. Staff was super friendly. Prices are different if paying in cash vs card. A must-visit if you’re in the area!!
By far the best pizza spot in the neighborhood, I’ve been coming here for the last 10 years and will keep coming back. Consistently great food, great people, great price. Can’t recommend Danny’s enough.
Came here on a whim on route to the subway. Me and my boyfriend were doing a pizza slice tour around NYC. These pizza slices were really tasty! The grandma slice in particular was my favorite one. Really flavorful sauce. Nice crunch on the dough. Seasoned well. I definitely would pick this as my favorite slice in New York city!
Danny’s Pizzeria Est. 1983 Layout/atmosphere *Three tables, two high tables; TV; three illustrated pizza peels on the wall; one table on sidewalk Food/drink *Sicilian slice - good; crisp *Margherita slice - really good; even crispier (balance of sauce & cheese on both slices was perfect)
Right off the Montrose L station, it's a perfect spot to pick up a slice/pie. The pizza is on par with the rest of NY pizzerias, but I HIGHLY recommend the Danny's Special (sausage, pepperoni, pepper's and onions). They also have a deal with garlic knots and a regular pie, cheap and hits the spot.
Really solid pizza! The artichoke pizza and the pizza with truffle oil on top were both winners, but I would recommend going in person because it arrived a bit lukewarm. Even so, the ingredients still tasted freshhh
The staff is soo soo lovely I wish I could give them five stars but the pizza kinda sucks. I like that it’s not thick but somehow it’s still really chewy and not crispy at all. I don’t think there is enough sauce and I think it’s a bit bland and sweet. This review is for a plain slice. It’s really cheap though and super speedy and the staff is incredibly kind.
Corner Pizza spot, appears to be a neighborhood staple. Service was quick as well as plenty options for the sliced pizza behind the glass. Pizza was tasty, dined in, couple seats and tables for patrons. I saw plenty of regulars come in while I ate, always a good sign. They also serve beer.
Danny's is a no-nonsense - Steps above average - perfect stop for pizza and beer when in Bushwick. It is also one of the only places that has pasta-slices on the menu and that, as an item, in fact a a meal, for the price, is one hell of a winner. Danny's slices are always well crusted fluffy-crisp and big. Staff is always nice and always on point. Will always wanna come back and get that pasta slice.
This spot is a true pizza shop on the corner. Loved the thin, crispy crust. Not too much sauce and not salty. Workers worked in unison to take your order, warm the pizza, ring you up and serve you. There are some seating inside and a small high top outside to eat quickly and people watch. Great little spot in the neighborhood! ~4$a slice... That's a good price point.
I order out this Pizzaria twice and the reason I give them stars, is because they follow up on the order I placed. On Uber Eats app menu hasn't been update so I ordered Burrata, and they didn't have that menu anymore. They called and let me know and I get an ordinary Caprese salad instead. The vinegar is not that great and too oily. I actually replace it with my Balsamic glaze. Penne a la Vodka is good and pasta is al dente. Fried Calamari is also good. Mussels is okay, just regular. Even I ordered from Uber Eats app but the restaurant use Relay Delivery instead so it confused me what app should I give delivery guy the tips? Anyway, I gave the tips to one of the app and hope the delivery guy get it.
Came here with friends for dinner (3 people in total). We ordered the calamari as an appetizer - it was super crispy and fresh, and then ordered the large grandma pie (not pictured). The menu said that it was a thin-crusted pizza; that was not the case but we didn't complain! It was a perfect choice for our group - great cheese to tomato ratio and flavor profile. We finished it all as 3 people, but it can easily feed 4 people I would say. The atmosphere was also super nice and cozy. My only minor complaint was that the service wasn't the warmest, but I can oversee that.
I've eaten from here several times and the pizza is always good, but this time it was dry, the crust was very thin and not enough cheese! But they still get 3 stars for my past experience!
Best buffalo chicken pizza I had in a long time. Probably top 3 pizza spots in Brooklyn. Only reason I gave 3 stars is they had a rookie worker that gave me 1.25$ in change for a 3.75$ bill when I paid him with a 20$ bill. Supervisor corrected his error but mistakes like this shouldnt be made😔
I’ve eaten here maybe 10 times. The pizza is often disappointing, mostly bread, not enough sauce and cheese. The staff is hit or miss, not unfriendly but sometimes rude. Chiaras down the street is cheaper, better, and friendlier (when they’re open!!).
I was happy to see that Danny’s offered whole wheat crust. My positive experience ended there. It took them a long time to prepare our pizzas, over thirty minutes, and when they arrived, they were very hot; however, the crust had split into two layers, one of which was basically raw. (See video) The seating is tight, so if you open your pizza box, people keep bumping into you. And the bathroom is not one you would want to use, which usually indicates the kitchen isn’t clean, either.
I ordered a personal pie from Danny’s last Saturday via Seamless and it was the most disappointing pizza I’ve had in a while. The bottom was nearly burnt, it was cold on the inside as if it wasn’t baked all the way (idk how that happened if the bottom was nearly charred?) and it was tasteless. Even being high didn’t elevate the lackluster flavor of this pie. I will not be ordering again!
Ordered 2 pepperoni slices warm, waited 20 minutes just to find out that they never put my order in. On top of that they get my order wrong half the time. When it’s right the place is very good but I’m officially done with this spot
I was very disappointed when I opened the pizza and I've been coming here for years. The pizza was so small and very thin there was wiggle room in the Box. One slice used to fill me up. Not anymore so won't be going back there again. Used to Rave about this place back in the day. I guess the original owner must have died. If he didn't he better go back to the way it used to be
Their pizzas have little to no tomato sauce - super dry slices and overall subpar straight talk, I wouldn’t enjoy these slices even if they were free. I’d describe them as hard cardboard with a sprinkle of topping moreso for appearances rather than taste or texture don’t recommend.
My brother and I visited Danny's pizzeria. This was my first time ever visiting this establishment. I'm sad to say that the service was very poor. First I ordered a meatballs parmesan sandwich. The time they took (45 minutes) was unacceptable. Why they took so long is beside me. It wasn't even that crowded. Second my sandwich was poorly prepared and poorly wrapped. Then when I paid for it the person at the cash register gave me the wrong change. I gave him a $20 bill and he gave me 20 cents change. I asked if he knew what he was doing. He acted like he didn't know what I was talking about. I told that I gave him a $20 bill and he acted surprised. He then corrected the error and gave me my correct change. As he was finishing wrapping my sandwich I asked him to put salt and pepper on the sandwich and he ignored me and just wrapped the sandwich up. And a poor job at wrapping it up too. Firs time visiting this establishment and my last.
The pizza was tasteless no cheese
2 plain slices Pizza was not worth $7.60 plus to neven charge tip at end of transaction for a whole in the wall pizza parlor.
Pizza could be better. Crust is overly cooked most the time and so are their garlic knots. The pasta dishes could also be better everytime I have ordered the lasagna or stuffed shells they don't seem fresh and that too is overly baked to the point the lasagna and shells are hard around the sides. They need to stop over baking their food. Update: March 7th 2024 still the same ordered lasagna, shells and knots plus 4 slices of pizza and everything seemed old and just overdone dry even pizza looked and taste old.
Do not order pies with extra cheese from this place, Here’s what they do. They take pre already made cheese pies and slab some cheese and then warm it up and give it to you. The pizza looks all disgusting the cheese pokes out badly and the taste is disproportionate. What a true pizzeria is supposed to do is make the Pizza pie from scratch and then add the extra cheese from scratch. Not take a Pizza pie that was already cooked and add extra cheese on it, heat it, then deliver it to you like a slob. Very disgusting sneaky behavior. If I order a pizza pie I expect a fresh pizza. Not a pizza that has been sitting around and then add extra cheese. I work hard for my money and I want a fresh product.
ran like a circus, put the pizza in the oven and take it out before its burnt bro, not that hard. Shit, slow, and not even the right order lol
The WORST SICILIAN PIE I EVER ATE IT HAD NO SAUCE, NO FLAVOR, TASTED LIKE CARDBOARD AND I HAD TO WAIT AN HOUR AND 45 MINUTES TO ARRIVE AND IT'S LOCATED 7 BLOCKS AWAY. I GIVE IT A ZERO STAR.
I figured the slice was ok so let’s try the chicken parm hero… the chicken was hard and old barely warm…. The bread was nice , dude lucky I didn’t punch him in the face for that kinda sandwich, disgust food
