Walked in and luckily we were able to be seated at the bar (best to make reservations ahead even if it says there are time slots open) The beet salad was delicious, especially with the bits of dates to add a touch of sweetness. The Caesar salad was a nice portion (not pictured). The rigatoni was excellent, really love how large the pasta was, and the sauce had a great butteriness to it; nice short rib flavor as well. The coffee and creme desert was a highlight; the description also said small lady fingers but it resembles Rice Krispies to me, either way, delicious.

To be honest I wasn’t expecting much, I think there are way too many of this kind of restaurant out there, but I was SHOCKED at how good everything was. The delicata squash tempura was FANTASTIC. It was so unassuming but the light batter leaves room for the sweetness of the squash to come through. The focaccia was fantastic although $3 extra for a singular tablespoon of salted butter is kind of off-putting. The half chicken was INCREDIBLE. It might’ve been the juiciest chicken I’ve ever had in my life. The fries were really well salted which is HUGE And the spicy rigatoni is not to be slept on! Pasta was the perfect doneness and the sauce was really perfect. I was worried it would be a throwaway dish but for a classic it was UNIQUELY good. Amazing! Can’t wait to come back

Impressive food for impressive people Don’t sleep on the desserts and also one of the few restaurants in nyc putting any effort into straciatella and not just pouring it out of a jar. Kudos

Honestly, probably the nicest and most upscale restaurant in Bed Stuy. The food quality is reflected in that, with superb ingredients and thoughtful balanced flavors. This is a great neighborhood date night restaurant or a perfect place to have your parents come to town and they’ll splurge for you. The atmosphere is great, modern and contemporary dining without feeling too fancy. The food, however, was amazing. As soon as I saw that they had a Berkshire Pork Chop on the menu, I already knew I was going to order that. It was phenomenal. If you’ve never had like a NICE pork chop before, this will forever change your mind about them. Almost melt in your mouth, with a delicious grilled broccoli rabe and savory lentils for a nice texture bonus with your bite. Love this dish! The striped bass was also good. Presentation is nice and also well balanced. The Caesar salad was delicious and had large portion. The dessert was amazing — forgot what it was… maybe a dulce de leche or something? Make sure to save room. Didn’t take photos of the Crispy Mushroom or Beef Tartare, but both appetizers were of shareable size and would definitely recommend both! I think this is worth taking the train for 100%. Not just a nice neighborhood spot. Highly recommend.

upscale fine dining style (small portions and menu) all very delicious. intimate setting right seating may be difficult if you are very large. food was great service was great and comes with the price that that usually has. you must try the bread. had a gift card so splurged i think our total was 140 for 2 cocktails, 2 starters and 2 entrees.

The vibes, drinks, and dishes were all fantastic at Daphne’s. One of the best Caesar salads I’ve had in the city. My personal favorites were the Swordfish Milanese and Beef Cheek Gemelli, cooked to absolute perfection and seasoned beautifully. Do not skip dessert!!

Great new place! Complements to the chef and all the staff. There's nothing like this in the neighborhood and we kind of needed it. My pictures suck.... but here we gooooooo.! This was a really great dining experience. The host Jackie was AMAZING, very welcoming, and accommodating. Also our waiter lesliegh gave us great recommendations that were spot on. The Appetizers were yummy and that clam pasta was too good! I also really enjoyed the clamari salad and the arincini. They literally hand make the pasta there and you taste the difference. As far as dessert I loved the Panna Cotta the best! It was very light with a great taste. Loved the red wine as well. Great job on this menu! If you're not looking to eat dinner you can also sit at the bar, I'm very happy there's an option there.

Amazing food, every single dish I tried was unique and very enjoyable. Above all, I thought that they put a lot of thought into the balance of the flavors, and I appreciated finding one or two surprising ingredients in every dish. The best panna cotta I've had.

This was a fantastic meal. We got the special, which was a whole trout. I didn’t love that all the seasoning was on the outside but when combined with the beans beneath it the taste was amazing. The white bean salad was very good and the dulce de leche tiramasu was a fantastic take on a classic. The service was casual and low key but very good.

Not a food critic, but absolutely love good food! When exploring new places, it's a welcomed surprise to taste unique flavors that you've never had before; this was my experience at Daphne's. In a space that was once a corner deli, Daphne's is a welcomed spot to the area. After a few cocktails at the nearby bar, I needed some food, so I popped in for a quick nosh and sat at the bar. The bartender, Conrad, was welcoming, friendly and well versed in the amaro & spirits. Since I had just had 3 cocktails, I skipped having a drink, but will try a few next time! I ordered the Radiatore, a punchy, heat smacking dish with hazelnut and mustard greens. The plate was a generous serving. I was hungry so I finished it off, but some would be fine with even half the amount. I wanted to end my meal with something sweet, so I ordered what the bartender and server recommended--the parfait. I honestly don't think I've had a proper parfait, so I have nothing to compare this to, but Daphne's parfait was divine and the flavors were unique. Loved the drizzled mint oil. The parfait was one of the tastier things I've put inside my mouth. Devoured it! Daphne's was the perfect place for a quick nosh on a Sunday night. It's a low key spot with good food, friendly staff, and close to home! Looking forward to my next visit!

Where do I begin? I have been to Daphne’s twice and both times gave such a lovely dining experience. I usually hesitate going to Italian restaurants (I am Italian), and Daphne’s hit on Every. Single. Level. Both times !!! The atmosphere at Daphne’s is perfect: unpretentious, comfortable, and CUTE! The service (although i’ve had the same incredible server twice, shouout Leslie) is amazing, knowledgeable about questions, gives their input, KNOWS the drink and food menu. Their wine list is very good and have not had a bad glass here with either meal. Every dish i’ve ordered and ate at Daphne’s has been incredible, and one special thing to note is that the menu changes quite often. The small additions/changes made gives you the choice to try something new or to stick with something you’ve had previously. Some menu highlights are BOTH salads. The Caesar is great but the white bean salad really hit for me. The arancini were tasty (wish they gave 4 instead of 3), and the crudo was a lovely nice antipasti. The pasta they make is absolutely incredible, perfectly cooked each time and you can taste the homemade difference. The rabbit ragu, which I had both times I went, is a must try. Pictured below is the campanelle, which was super tasty, a pesto that doesn’t overpower the ingredients within the pasta. For the secondi I have tried the berkshire porkchop and a seasonal addition which was the catechino (sausage served over black lentils, pictured). The Berkshire porkchop was expertly cooked and so very tasty, would order it again. The Catechino was great as well. I was dining with my friend from Italy who is from the region where catechino is usually eaten over new years and he cosigns how great Daphne’s rendition is !!! Overall I would recommend Daphne’s to anyone. Lovely place, great atmosphere, and the biggest standout for me is the PORTIONS! You do not leave this place hungry and are guaranteed a great meal.

What a gem of a spot!!! Food was delicious and gorgeous, service was warm and attentive, the space is cozy and stylish. My friends and I got the caesar salad, beef tartare lasagna chips, baked scallops, salsify and fiddleheads in green vodka sauce (I would happily drown in this sauce), and the tuna crudo to share, then got the fish, ragu, and clam pasta (which they were able to make gf for me!) The staff and kitchen were very accommodating with helping me order gluten free, which is such a relief. Can’t wait to go back!

This place is a hidden gem, every dish has lovely flavors, we tried fluke crudo, tempura squash, spaghetti, radiatore and special gnocchi pie with braised rabbit and maitake mushrooms and i can't pick a favorite as they were all delicious. I will definitely go back and I highly recommend this spot!

Daphne’s is a true neighborhood gem. I had my birthday dinner here for a group of 10 and everything was fantastic—from the vibes to the food and wine. The pasta was especially delicious and flavorful, crudo was beautiful, and pork chops were juicy and tasty. The staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful in hosting our group, and the personalized menus were such a thoughtful + tasteful touch. A great spot for special occasions and everyday dining. Can’t wait to come back!

Surprisingly elevated neighborhood-feeling spot (probably not surprising to the team — they have a Michelin star so obviously aren't messing around!). Best caesar salad I've ever had. Focaccia came as a quaint little loaf and — with the stracciatella — was perfection. Wine selection was delicious. Rigatoni was so satiating. Excited to come back.

Sensational food — everything was delicious except for the chicken which was so-so but still good, and the fries that came with it were excellent. Great wines and cocktails. Great desserts. Arancini was crazy good and so was the focaccia and the beet salad. Service could have been better, but we weren’t rushed at all and they were quick to respond to our needs and questions. Ambience is awesome, it’s really beautiful inside with perfect music and lighting. Overall, an amazing spot and will definitely return.

The food was great start to finish. The cocktail I tried was also on point. They didn't rush us at all. But: It was very loud. Our two top menu choices were both out. Service was a little off. Maybe Sunday evening's aren't their best time?

The pastas were delightful. Really loved the textures and different combinations of flavors. The menu is definitely small. It would be a better place for an intimate meal for a smaller group.

While I came just before closing after being denied service/food at Les Mars (Thai)-which closed at 10 (I arrived at 9:50) so I applaud the kitchen/bar for serving me just before kitchen closing rendering service until the closing hour. So had a quick meal of a Caesar Salad-excellent, Tanqueray Martini and an Iberico Pork Chop with a seared cabbage and pear soubise-very good. I think my only observation is that if you serve a guest(s) just before closing, you accept the responsibility of giving the same service for a 7 pm reservation at nearly 11 pm walk in. I’m a professional chef and while I’m not being as critical as in the 80’s or 90’s, service should not taper off-at the bar where I sat or at a table to be lackluster at best. I will return as I have always had a curiosity about this place since it opened-so I took a chance. I’ll return at a more decent hour and Jackie-thank you. I enjoyed my food and experience.

Daphne’s is a great new Italian spot in Brooklyn. The food is frequently great - like the unique salsify and fiddlehead appetizer with a green vodka sauce or a simple ziti whose pasta is light and cooked to perfection. Occasionally it’s exceptional, like the swordfish Milanese. The soon-to-be iconic baked scallops did feel overcooked to me but the flavors were still great and the razor clams in the razor clam pasta felt a little too chewy to me. That being said, I would come back and try more things and certainly didn’t dislike anything I ate. They also have wonderful cocktails and a small wine list that pairs well with the food. It can get a little loud at peak busy hours but it’s clearly on its way to becoming that go-to neighborhood spot.

Good atmosphere, service was.. fine, maybe it was an off night. Basically had to wave the server down to get a drink. Food was decent, but really felt like the price didn't match the quality. I would go back another night to see how it was a second time, but I won't be running back soon.

I thought this place was alright and left a lot to be desired. For food, we got the pumpkin tempura app (my fav out of everything), Caesar salad, crab pasta, wild boar pasta, half chicken dish, and all three of the desserts - sorbet, pumpkin bread, and another mousse like thing. The pastas lacked flavor, was stingy with the meat, and seemed made up of just butter. The chicken dish was odd; looked like half a bag of fries were dumped on the plate. The chicken itself was juicy and there was some mushroom marsala going on that I wish there was more of for that dish. All three of the desserts sucked. Was not happy with the food. The open concept kitchen and the bathroom area had a really nice design to it. We felt that service was slow despite it not being a big place. There’s a rotating menu so we might revisit to try new things but this time around left pretty disappointed.

Tried Daphne’s for date night. The service was friendly, and the food was enjoyable. However, we were very concerned about the kitchen’s hygienic practices. From our seats at the bar, we had a clear view of the open kitchen and witnessed a staff member at the pasta station using the same spoon to both taste and serve food—without washing or changing utensils. This happened with our dish and at least three more times afterward. We informed our bartender, who was at a loss for words and said he would “check on that to see.” We received our bill unadjusted, paid, and left. Unfortunately, due to these sanitation concerns, we won’t be returning.
