Exquisite! Where to begin! What an incredible experience. From being greeted at the door, seated quickly, the kindness of the servers, the lovely flavors(amuse-bouche to dessert) detailed descriptions on the menu and verbally when requested; top notch all around. We definitely ate to much! But in the best way. We started with the amuse-bouche a Pumpkin purée, then onto the classic goulash(incredible rich flavors), for our entrees we had the Chicken Paprikash and Beefcheek, Polenta, Mushroom with appropriately suggested red wines, ending with the Apple pie and Cottage Cheese Dumplings. Thank you for the great experience! We plan to come back with friends.

Lovely dinner, great and very friendly service. Atmosphere good, nicer upstairs. Restaurant was nice and warm. Had the meat taster menu. Absolutely delicious courses (5) with an explanation from the waiter about each course. Great IPA from the draft and topped off with a lovely cappuccino. Would definitely come again. Prices reasonable.

An amazing farm to table tasting experience with an equally delicious wine pairing. The food was phenomenal and everything tasted perfect. And then the pairing was just as well selected and crafted to match the meal. The staff was also amazing from the kind hostess who greeted and sat us to the waiter who was so knowledgeable about every aspect of our meal.

A truly memorable dining experience in downtown Budapest, celebrating local ingredients and refined Hungarian flavors. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, but what really made our visit exceptional was our waiter Laci, who delivered outstanding service. Attentive, professional and genuinely kind. He elevated the whole experience with thoughtful recommendations and great hospitality. We especially loved two dishes that absolutely stood out. Pork Belly with White Bean and Egg. Perfectly roasted pork belly with crispy edges, resting on a flavorful confit bean salad, finished with a beautifully balanced pickled egg. Comforting yet elegant. My other favorite is Sterlet with Lentil and Brown Butter. The sterlet was delicately smoked and paired with creamy lentils and a nutty brown butter sauce. A stunning and well executed dish. A wonderful spot for those who want to enjoy Hungarian cuisine done right.🍲

We had a great dinner at TATI in Budapest. The farm-to-table concept really comes through, with seasonal ingredients and modern takes on traditional Hungarian dishes. Everything we tried was well prepared, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. We tried the Gulash that had nice, big beef pieces in and the seasonal vegan soup. For main we had the deer loin very juicy and the vegan stuffed cabbage. A bit disappointed with this as the cabbage was just placed on top of the vegan burger. The atmosphere is warm and stylish without feeling pretentious, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, happy to explain the menu and wine options. Prices felt fair for the quality and overall experience. A very solid choice if you want to experience contemporary Hungarian cuisine in a relaxed but refined setting.

I love this place!! The restaurant is beautiful, the staff very classy and nice. I really loved the paprikas that we have had for dinner! I would say its its best I have ever had and I have tried many paprikas in my life. The meat was crispy and totally tasty. We have also tried cottage balls for the dessert and it was really good.

Wanted to visit TATI for a long time, and it was absolutely worth it. The farm-to-table concept is beautifully executed - aesthetic, seasonal and refined. The starter was delicate and well balanced, the lamb was nice ,and the quality of ingredients really stands out. The TATI Riesling is a very interesting wine - highly recommended to visit this place.

We had a truly memorable evening at TaTi in Budapest. The atmosphere is stylish yet cozy, with warm wood accents and a modern design. The restaurant is set across two levels – the upstairs bar offers an excellent cocktail selection (the Pepper Pam is a highlight), while the downstairs area creates the perfect setting for larger groups. We chose the five-course tasting menu with wine pairing, and it was outstanding. The goulash soup and the paprikash chicken stood out as absolute highlights, closely followed by the perfectly prepared duck. Dessert was a refined surprise: delicate cheese dumplings that rounded off the menu beautifully. The wine recommendations were spot-on and complemented each course seamlessly. What makes TaTi particularly special is its concept of showcasing local ingredients and regional wines, which not only support sustainability but also give guests a true taste of Hungary’s culinary richness. Overall, TaTi combines creativity, authenticity, and hospitality in a way that makes it a must-visit when in Budapest.

I love the restaurant and the food concept. Simple and neat. Decoration is beautiful. However, the ambient doesnt make feeling cozy. Quality of food is perfect, taste different and amazingly delicious. It is worth for any special occation.

Amazing food. We started with amuseboosh and caviar then onto the tasting menu which consisted of four small plates of duck, goulash soup, chicken papriskash, beef checks with polenta, and a deconstructed cheese cake

TLDR: Absolutely amazing meal with well-paired wines and excellent service, very price worthy! It seems to me that there are very inflated ratings for many restaurants in Budapest but this is not one of them. We were able to get a table for 10 at the last minute and they were very accommodating especially since we had 6 people that ordered the tasting menu and 4 people that were cheap and didn’t. We had to wait 15 minutes for the table because the guests before us were not finished but this was amended with a glass of sparkling wine for each person - on the house. We were blown away by the wine pairings for each dishes and 3 of the wines we ordered were some of the best I’ve had in my life. Only thing to note was that some of us found there was a very slight lack of salt in some of the dishes. The service was amazing and very professional - we were even offered coffee even though it was after closing and cleaning of the coffee machine had started. At the end of the night we were unfortunately overcharged for 6 wine packages which we didn’t notice on the bill initially but this was swiftly handled when we brought it up the following day of service. Mistakes happen and it’s how you deal with them that matters and here I can’t give anything but 5 stars. Really recommend coming here if you’re in Budapest!

Incredible food journey for people that would like to explore Hungarian food. I personally had the tasting menu which gives you smaller dishes of their most popular options. Wine pairing is optional but I stuck with some local beers. Food was fresh and tasted very good. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great and the staff were very helpful and friendly. My only recommendation to the owner would be to hire more staff. One server was literally running around trying to get everything done which just isn’t good. All in all I can fully recommend this place to any fellow travelers.

I visited this restaurant drawn by its philosophy and focus on local ingredients, which truly stood out for their excellent quality. The service was kind and attentive, impressive given the small staff managing a two-floor dining room with many tables. The cuisine was both simple and refined, and every dish was delicious. The goulash, in particular, was outstanding—probably the best I’ve ever had—flavorful yet surprisingly light. The selection of local wines was also excellent. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

Tati’s cuisine is guided by a clearly defined farm-to-table philosophy, supported by produce sourced directly from the restaurant’s own farm. The 5-course tasting menu allows these ingredients to take centre stage, with cooking that is precise and restrained. Flavours remain clear and well-judged, and each dish feels purposeful rather than decorative. The kitchen maintains a consistent level throughout the meal, resulting in an experience that is focused, sincere, and thoughtfully executed.

I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant in the heart of Budapest, Hungary. The service was outstanding and the farm to table fresh meats and produce are expertly prepared and also creative and delicious. Our server was excellent with great knowledge of the menu and extensive wine list. This place ha an upstairs and a downstairs dining room. It is very popular so a reservation would be advisable.

A Refined Michelin Experience in Budapest Tati Farm to Table is a remarkable two Michelin-starred restaurant that truly lives up to its reputation. The service is exceptional, warm, and professional, with every detail carefully handled to make you feel well taken care of. The food is outstanding, beautifully presented, and full of creativity while maintaining a natural, authentic touch that reflects the restaurant’s farm-to-table philosophy. Each dish feels thoughtfully crafted and perfectly balanced. It’s on the pricier side, but considering its Michelin recognition, it is surprisingly affordable compared to similar fine dining experiences in other countries. Tati is an excellent choice for anyone who appreciates refined cuisine, genuine hospitality, and a memorable dining experience in Budapest.

My first experience trying traditional Hungarian “Chicken Paprikash” at TATI was wonderful — the food quality and taste were excellent. The service by “Kornel” was warm and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable.

What a nice place to taste the local food with a more modern vibe. The food was excellent, very tasty, the portions were nice and the service was great (they have no problem with English). The goulash and the chicken paprikash were very good. Overall the place is quite pricey so you might want to consider other restaurants to taste the local dishes.

Enjoyed the three dishes thoroughly - duck, white bean, cabbage for entree, chicken paprikash for main and cottage cheese dumplings. Well presented, delicious and satisfying. Highly recommend trying this restaurant if you’re in Budapest; you’ll likely need to make a reservation the day before.

Arrived in Budapest after a very long day and had the best dinner we could have had to bring our journey to a happy conclusion. An amuse bouche of roasted turnip was absolutely delicious. And the goulash soup to follow was just the best. Tender pieces of beef with locally grown vegetables in a scrummy rich soup. Perfect. All washed down with Inni Jo 2023, a delightful red from Villány in the south of Hungary. All in all a great introduction to local, wholesome Hungarian cuisine. Staff delightfully attentive and kind too.

My experience with my partner was sublime. We booked a reservation, when it was my first time eating at a Michelin star restaurant. Every dish that we ate blew our minds: the tastes, the attention to detail, the waiters that were so gracious. An amazing experience that I will remember dearly.

TATI gave us an intro to Hungarian food, elevating the national must-try into something easily digestible for non-locals like us. Chicken prapikas turns the traditional version into a whole piece of chicken with very crispy skin - loved it. We could not resist the dessert and went with cottage cheese dumplings and walnut dumplings. Many things on the menu are called dumplings in English but they are all so different! Staff are very hospitable and friendly, no fault to find here!

We ate here on our first night in Budapest as it's right next to our Airbnb and wow, this was delicious! Veggie options, meat options, desserts. All creative and super yummy. Would highly recommend. The fresh leaf tea selection is also one to remember.

The food is in a very high good quality, represent the Hungarian traditional food. We had the 5 course meal and we had a wonderful time accompanied by local wine, that surprised with its good quality. Don’t miss it.

Delicious fine cuisine, great products as they have their own farm just outside Budapest. If you can, go for the tasting menu that will allow you to try different hungarian dishes in smaller portions. Service by Laszlo was amazing, great advice for the drinks.

With its sophisticated, cozy atmosphere and excellent, delicious food, a visit to Tati was a perfect way to spend an evening in Budapest. The service was attentive, and we never lacked anything. The tasting menus — both the regular and the vegetarian options — are definitely recommended. The paprika chicken was our favourite. We would definitely come here again.

Had a wonderful dining experience at Tati Budapest. The caviar pairing was exceptional—beautifully presented and perfectly balanced. Martin provided outstanding customer service; he was warm, attentive, and incredibly hospitable throughout the evening. His recommendations elevated the whole experience. Highly recommend a visit if you’re in Budapest!

We looked for a topical Hungária. Good restaurant for dinner and we selected this one based on the menu and the Michelin review. We booked over Open Table application and everything was great. I asked for a table where we can speak and we received a nice table behind the bar. The waiter was helpful and explained each plate with about of details. He made few good recommendation and overall he was very helpful , professional and friendly. The food is very good and allow you to discover nice local flavors. You need to be prepared to spend some time between order and food arrival for each of the plates and this because the food needs time to be cooked. Fill this time with some good local wine as we did and the time will compress. Very good experience and a place I recommend you stop and discover.

Excellent food and great service. We had the tasting menu, with wine. It was delicious and the wines were unusual but went very well with the food. The trout and pork dishes stood out for me, the desert was marvellous too. Tip: try and book a table upstairs as downstairs was a little bit cold and has a feel of being a overflow room due to the restaurants obvious popularity. Highly recommended.

Wonderful food and atmosphere. This is one of those rare restaurants where the food is top notch and it’s good for kids. There was a little kids area where my children could use chalk to draw on a wall. And they had food that the kids liked, both Hungarian and options for more picky eaters. Highly recommend for families visiting Budapest.

Homemade food feels special! Their tasting menu is a great way to explore a variety of traditional dishes, all full of rich, honest flavors. The highlights for me were the tender chicken, hearty goulash, and pork cheek—comfort food done right. The staff made us feel genuinely welcome, and the cozy atmosphere felt more like visiting an old friend than dining out. So we did 3 days in a row.. With a well-deserved mention in the Michelin Guide, TATI proves that simple, traditional food can be truly great!

Best dinner in Budapest. My wife took the 5 courses tasting menu while I took the 5 courses vegan menu and both were outstanding. I truly salute the level of creativity from the chefs and how well they combined the various flavours of the plant base dishes. The cottage cheese dessert from the regular menu was truly sensationell. Our server Miss Penny was extremely professional kind and efficient. Excellent value for money for this 5 courses menu. Pps try it. The pic of the food dont entirely make justice to the delightful taste of the dishes, you really have to eat it to understand how great it is.

Lovely evening at TATI. We had both the meat and vegan tasting menu and shared each course. A brilliant idea (my wife) Excellent food all round but we would both give the slight edge to the vegan menu. Terrific wait staff, great vibe, would absolutely recommend

Food was fabulous. Beautiful use of taste and texture. Staff was super helpful and lovely with us and our active toddler. The high chair was lovely and clean. Some suggestions : It would be awesome if there was a changing table. And I would say some dishes would benefit to be served in bigger dishes (even if small portions) to facilitate cutting without making a mess.

Cozy vibes and interesting flavors, but small portions. The atmosphere is lovely and the menu is very creative — you can see the beetroot dessert in my photo. The service is pleasant, and the menu changes constantly, which is great. However, the portions are quite small and it's a bit pricey. We actually left feeling hungry. :) Overall, a nice spot for the experience, but don't expect a big meal!

We didn't get the Michelin Star treatment. But don't get me wrong we got a very good service, just I think it wasn't on that level. I didn't get the "farm to table" vibe and I was curious how they stay true to their name. The food was good, but in the soup they just chopped everything into 4. I mean the vegetables were big and the meat too and the meat had parts which, on this level, I think should not have. Honestly we were not the most important customers because we just arrived at the afternoon when the kitchen was closed. Yes, for me was strange to hear that, but I was told the kitchen is closed for a few hours at the afternoon. We still went there for a coffee and stayed there for a light dinner. Basically that's all they could give us (coffee and water). And filtered water for the price of the mineral water (I am saying that because we ordered a bottle of still water and we believed we are getting mineral water). It's a big venue, they have a downstairs section too. They brought the food very quick. Everything else not. The bill was extremely slow to arrive. We were not in a rush, I just noticed it. Was strange. Usually the food comes slower than the bill. I was surprised to see that it's a dog friendly restaurants. And they have a (small) bed for the (small) dog what they can bring. That was a nice touch. Overall experience was good.

Food was fantastic. Truely, nothing was less than perfect. … But after dinning at HOPPÁ I found this place to be lacking in the service area. Don’t get me wrong the gentlemen was nice…. But maybe a little more information on the food, or descriptions when ordering or when the food is dropped off at the table. Most of the wines we wanted were out, not a super big deal. … but the thing that kinda gets me, is when I went to the bathroom all the staff where hanging out by the entry, they didn’t break conversation, or move out of the way, or guide me to the rest room… I had to awkwardly scoot around them and brush up against the plant… it was just kinda weird. Also? When I booked the table in person I asked if they did anything for the birthdays and he said dessert… not sure if I somehow miss understood but the apple pie was good all the same.

Perfect tasting menu to start our time in Budapest. Every course was delightfully plated and tasted amazing. We did the wine pairing as well and most of them were great but some, especially the last pairing was just too tart for the dish. Service was a bit snooty and we had a hard time getting his attention to being our check but overall a great experience.

Tati Farm to Table offers a very pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. The space feels warm and cozy, with a relaxed vibe that immediately makes you feel comfortable, and the staff were genuinely kind, attentive, and happy to explain the concept and the dishes. From a hospitality point of view, the experience was absolutely enjoyable and set high expectations for what was to come. The restaurant’s farm-to-table philosophy is clearly communicated and appreciated, and there is an obvious effort to highlight seasonal, local ingredients. Unfortunately, when it came to the food itself, it didn’t quite live up to the anticipation. While the dishes were well presented and technically correct, the flavors felt rather underwhelming and lacked the depth or creativity one would expect from a place with such a strong concept and reputation. Nothing was bad by any means, but nothing truly stood out either. Given the hype surrounding Tati, the overall dining experience felt slightly overrated, especially considering the price point. You leave feeling comfortable and well taken care of, but without that lasting “wow” factor that makes you crave a return visit. Overall, Tati Farm to Table is a lovely spot for a relaxed meal in a nice setting with excellent service, but for food-focused diners, it may not fully justify its reputation. A pleasant experience, just not a particularly memorable one.

Tati was on my list for Budapest, and very well worth the place. We didn't book a table, but that wasn't a problem as it was a Sunday night. The food is really good, and I mean, really good. We both chose the tasting menu, meat based for my girlfriend and vegan for me. 5 courses of delight. The only criticism was the beef cheeks for my girlfriend were a bit tough. Fermented, preserved, nose to tail eating. It's pricy. We had 2 bottles of wine and 3 sparkling water as well as the 2 tasting menus and it came to £229. Go though. Taste, enjoy and remember. 5 stars for food. 3 stars for service. Stop reaching across your customer! Remember the Foodservice basics. Chipped crockery as well. Pouring wine. The guest shouldn't have to pour his own. And treat every guest equally.

Pleasant atmosphere, a simple tasting menu based on specialties of Hungarian cuisine – unpretentious and tasty. Excellent veal in goulash, excellent dessert. Vine pairing went very late at one course ... some other small discrepancies prevented 5 stars ..

Had a generally good meal here. Service was professional and helpful with questions about food and drink. But we sure did wait a long time. We had a table at 8pm on a Saturday and it was 9.30 when we finally got our starters. There was a long wait for everything, including ordering a bottle of wine and not getting it and some glasses for 15 minutes. We were celebrating a 60th birthday which I'd mentioned when booking, but there wasn't any recognition of that at all. That's not that big a deal, but other places we went to put more of an effort in to make it special, so it was a bit disappointing. Some of the food was really nice, and for some it was the best food they'd had during their stay in Budapest. A few people on our table got the beetroot main, which was certainly more of an acquired taste. The drinks were all excellent. They have plenty of options for vegetarians. The atmosphere is also nice - good soundtrack, lighting and it's a cool space. It was a nice meal overall but I wouldn't rush back.

The service is great. But the food you're expecting to say wow but it's just good And for that price I dont think it's enough. The cottage dumplings dessert was a bit weird with the cottage thick texture. And the plates are way too small, I took the tasting menu and went to get MCds after...

Food was amazing but I am more particular about a restaurant’s service. I went there for lunch today and I showed a photo of a meal here that was in Google Reviews to ask if it is available. There is this blonde waitress who gave me a ridiculous look as if Im stupid and said “That was two years ago. We change our menu every time.” — OKAY? Im a tourist and you couldve explained it nicely. I noticed the crew interacted differently with customers who are white. The tall male waiter even approached customers per table to ask if everything was alright except for me. Lol are they all racists? I got a different treatment coz Im asian? And in the end the male waiter had the audacity to ask “would you like to give us a tip for our warm hospitality?’ — wowww your WHAT?! 😅

Still far behind NYC and London standards food and service wise but charges high prices nonetheless. From what I understand having ordered the tasting menu, the food tries really hard to put a modern, creative twist on Central European classics, throwing in a “farm to table” brand but it’s not clear what the connections are nor do the prices feel justified (for dumpling and vegetable-based meals). Also, beware - the waiters will up charge without informing you of additional costs. The tap water is $10. I didn’t even order it but the waiter added it since I opted to not get the wine pairing (I don’t drink). I’m very disappointed and feel superbly ripped off. Lastly, I was alone and the waiter often forgot about me, having even excused himself at the end saying that he was busy serving other people. It’s quite inappropriate to say that when you got a high per bill cost out of me and if you attended to me quicker, could have turned the table even quicker. Bad attitude and service. I’m not coming back here nor do I recommend it.

S
Saba Jafari

Honestly, one of the worst “fancy looking” restaurants we have been to. I do not believe all those good online reviews anymore because the food was really not good at all for the prices they charge. We ordered the tasting menu and it was too salty, too heavy, and not nearly as tasty as you would expect. The service was very poor and extremely slow. We spent two hours sitting there and waiting for the next course to arrive even though we had already said we were ready. Now it makes sense why they do not have a Michelin star yet because they are far from it. Service wise it felt like McDonald’s and food wise like an average restaurant. It was definitely not worth the money.
