Leeanna is an AMAZING MANAGER!!!!! She treated us like family. We were doubtful of coming here because we have gone to Golden Chick but the food was not so good BUT THIS LOCATION CHANGED MY MIND!!! The tenders are the juiciest best I’ve ever tasted. Leeanna made sure I like what I was buying and she even gave me a chicken strip to try before I bought it. She is truly an amazing manager and makes you feel like coming back. I will come back because of HER AND THE FOOD! EVERY REATAURANT SHOULD HAVE A MANAGER LIKE LEEANNA. She is honestly SO SWEET AND VERY HELPFUL. She was so attentive to our needs. I recommend this Golden Chick 100%. Ask for Leeanna she will give you the BEST SERVICE!!!

The entire staff here is so friendly and helpful. I’ll be honest, they don’t always get the order right, but this just shows you how important customer service is. We keep going back because the service is so fantastic. They’re friendly, they go out of their way (help bring order to the car), they are apologetic when they do forget something and it’s the whole staff. That team is doing a fantastic job!

Stopped here on my way out of town. Drive thru order - friendly employee and spoke very clearly with a great attitude. Got a 3pc tender meal, and it cost $9 with change. It came with a drink, a side, and a bread roll. The fries were delicious! Very crispy.

Best gizzards ever. I only visit when traveling to Laredo and that is about every 2 months. I definitely enjoy seeing rhis Team and grabbing lunch. They are always positive and provide a great dining experience! 😃

Good service, clean restaurant. Bummed out because this location doesn't have Wicked wings. Got the spicy tenders instead. Ordered fried okra, they were out of that. I was really surprised that they had CHOCOLATE ice cream. I have never seen that b4. I love Chocolate ice cream.

I've been here multiple times. No matter how busy they get, I've gotten my food quickly. Tastes great and never had a problem here.

The lady that we always get on the drive thru is always happy and sweet ...very thoughtful of all items you may need. Its just a pleasure having her serve you. The only place in Cotulla to enjoy good quality Fried Chicken- only drawback is price price price!😐🙂 That being said-given a choice between Fast Food burger restaurants and the other eating establishments-Golden Chick is the best value for the Best Product on I-35 access and I'd be remisce if I didn't mention they do have 2 piece meal with side and roll for $7 making it the way to go in treating everyone to a satisfying meal!😋! Miss 1/2 price Mondays on 8 piece- please bring back! Yeast rolls simply the best there is!

Chicken is good. Roasted chicken is great. Fried chicken is great! Some fried chicken places tend to over cook their chicken making it hard and dry. The fried chicken was very good.

Everytime we had a chance we stop at Golden Chick,told my husband to get me roasted chicken replacement for my favorites fried chicken.Told him add a dozen of rolls too,to my disappoinment the wing,leg,was so salty😣 the breast not so bad cuz the meat are thicker than wing and leg.(Suggestion) please if you soaked chicken don't put a lot of salt, salty food lost the taste of the meat and the deliciousness of the chicken😞.Hope my husband get a load again at Loredo so we can stop at this location,if not I'll try to order again somewhere in any location in big State of Texas👌😄

Friendly staff, fast service, not many places dont offer rotisserie just fried chicken. That rotisserie bird was blessed by God himself. Tons of flavor. Dirty rice tasted more like Thanksgiving (dressing/stuffing) which I enjoyed., green beans.

The food was delicious. I love their chicken salad. Sweet tea was delicious. The girl that was taking our order was new, and she had to ask for help because "she couldn't understand what I was saying". Really? I think I speak English very well. What she should have said is "she wants to order the chicken salad, but I'm not sure how I'm supposed to enter it on the register. Instead of saying something so ignorant in front of a customer. The place was nice and cool, and it was clean.

It's been alright every time I have gone. Nothing in here is spectacular to me, prices are average with average chicken. The benefit is the free ice cream cones with a dine in purchase.

It was good but they failed to tell me ahead of time that they were out of a food item that was supposed to be included in my meal. Once I received my meal, I noticed it didn't have it and when I went to the counter, that's when they told me. They gave me a cookie as a replacement but I would've ordered something different if I would've known. That's why I gave a 3.

The food was great. The indoor ice cream machine wasn’t working and the dining room was a little dirty, but the view was nice and the food was good.

Poor assembly ruined the sandwich. I ordered a chicken sandwich for takeout with extra pickles and a slice of cheese. Unfortunately, the assembly was really careless. They piled the pickles, the cheese, and the hot sauce all on just one side of the sandwich. Because the cheese wasn't melted and the sauce was pooled there, that entire side of the sandwich ended up cold and soggy, making for a very messy meal. Also, be aware if you order takeout: they don't put napkins in the bag. Apparently, you have to fetch them yourself from the front counter, which defeats the purpose of a grab-and-go order. The only positive was that they did remember to put the condiments in the bag, but overall, the lack of attention to detail made this a disappointing lunch. First time visit at one of their golden chick locations. Prices are a bit steeper. Might try again another location, if there’s some in Houston.

Service was good foods slightly expensive for chicken. The fish wasn't that good. Jalepeno bombers were very good the fried okra was good. The rolls are sweet like the king Hawaiian rolls. Has truck parking 5 slots im sure 10 can fit but only 5 sets of lines better to exit 67 going north exit 68 but breakneck right turn i would not recommend with tractor trailer. The feeder / service road has 2 lanes. hotels nearby. The inside was clean. Plan to go back and actually buy chicken.

This is the worst fried chicken I’ve had. Too much seasoning. What’s wrong with salt and pepper, don’t need all those other spices, all I could taste was garlic and other spices.

The food was delicious But it took forever to get our food through the drive-thru. We waited for at least 30 minutes. They actually forgot about us that's crazy.

I order fried fish and it was more cornmeal than fish. But if you're a crunchy fish person you might like it. Didn't try the chicken. And not a lot of seating in the evening.

Customer service at its lowest, representatives do not listen and when told what you want they are distracted. Order a chicken sandwich and it came out cold. Ask the representative and said they come out like that. Would suggest another location if possible or train the workers to be more attentive to their work. Eat else where if possible.

Define 2 👎👎down. I ordered the 3 piece chicken dinner w/mashed potatoes. I received a leg & two wings. 3 of the most pathetic pieces I'd ever seen. The mash came with no gravy & no spoon. I ordered a 6 piece meal, I added a side of macaroni, I also asked for a cup of ice on which I had to pay for it. I also asked her to add ketchup and hot sauce. After they made me wait almost 20 minutes when there was no line just me, I received the order with no ketchup, no hot sauce and no straw. I told the lady that I needed the straw and she said we don’t have straws but everything else is there. I didn’t check until I got to my place and of course no ketchup, no hot sauce and a almost half of a dirty cold macaroni cup. This was my first time and last time I will ever get Golden Chick……

First, they never have rolls when we come in. They also ran out more than half of their sides, no lids for cups, no straws, and they gave me the wrong sides after verifying the order twice with them.

We love the food here and are regulars but what's happened this place has gone down here and the food sucks now it use to be so delicious and the service use to be amazing now the workers are just rude and gloomy and the food sucks where is the old management and crew bring them back we won't be going back it's a money waste now

After 10 minutes of waiting, was told they forgot our order. Then to top it off was told they were out of Fried chicken, while I stood looking a heaping pile of chicken fresh out of fryer..Sad!

Terrible! This is easily the worst Golden Chick I've ever eaten in. Food was old and dried out. I was there at 6:30pm on a Thursday so no excuse for such poor quality of food. I was the only person there!

The drive thru lady coughed 2 times on the speaker while she was taking my order. She could’ve at least turned it off and coughed with Covid every where. Then she hands me a straw at the window with no plastic or paper enclosing it with. I have never ever been handed a straw with no package from any where. Ma’am aren’t you the person with the delta cough on the speaker?

This blond haired manager like lady ran around the back distracting every worker delaying most orders over 20 mins... Then when I asked about my 3 piece meal (that they forgot to send to the back computer) she tells me they're out of tenders. So I say that's fine regular pieces are cool but I gotta go... She slips in 1 chicken breast and argues with me about the meat equivalent of 1 piece of chicken breast compared to 3 tenders... Obviously annoyed already I ask for my gravy... She says I shouldn't give you gravy not realizing the receipt she was holding in her other hand had an extra charge for gravy... TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, TERRIBLE SERVICE, INCOMPETENT MANAGER.

I was terribly disappointed with Golden Chick today. There was a long line at the drive thru, the guy that took my order was rude and then I had to wait 15 minutes for my order. My order wasn't complete when I got home with my food. This isn't the first time that this has happened to me. I probably won't give them another chance.

Wait was 15 min for grilled chicken and my other order was cold by the time the chicken was ready. To make things worse they forgot to put some items in my order so yeah will not be going back to this location.

i went by Monday July 1 at 9:20 pm And wanted tenders and the lady told me they were out and not making anymore. How are you open til 10 and not have what is on the menu?

It took then 52 minutes to get my order of 10 pieces of roasted chicken to get done. Really. This place is understaffed. The place was dirty. Out of sweet tea. Restrooms were filthy and smelly.

They forgot our dozen yeast rolls. Had to drive all the way back for them to give me a weird look like... This is some hustle i have to get free food. Why didn't i check the order before i left? Is your job so difficult that you can't fill an order correctly? Now, i have to do your job too?

Went back twice within an hour on 4/1/21, 823 pm and at 936 pm. Each time my order was wrong. The second time that I went back, I had to return as I had ordered 2 combos, but only 1 order was in the bag. What can you expect from a small town restaurant. Would have given 0 stars if that was a choice.

Sucked balls, goofy skinny girl at the register took my order, 4 tenders and rice, with a drink. I asked her what kind of dipping sauces they had, and she locked up on me. She had no idea. Then she charges me, and I say " I'll take a honey mustard" , she says they're .39 cents. I say , " don't you think you should suggest a sauce before I pay?? My order was all wrong, I got fries and gravy. If you don't want to be there, go home! YOUR SELLING CHICKEN! and you can't even get that right. Maybe there is oil in the water from fracking, and now your a dumbass! Matate!

This place is usually pretty quick. But today the idiot behind the counter interupted me while I was order saying that they were waiting on chicken. A simple "there is going to be a wait" or something to the effect would have worked. I wont be order from this golden chick, if that mouth breath id behind the counter.

They are to slow , some employees are rude. And never can get the order right every time I go. Mash potatoes are dry with no flavor . Only thing good there are the rolls.

I paid 47 bucks for this, and they delivered it to me after an hour and a half. Everything was cold, and it was a mess. They didn't even include forks or napkins in the box. It's terrible service. I will never buy from them again. It's just a waste of money.

Ordered 4 piece spicy tender meal with okra at the drive through, received 6 or 7 piece plain tender meal with okra that tasted like it was cooked 3-4 days ago. The roll was as hard as a hockey puck! This was second time visiting this place. The first time I got cold and hard catfish! Won’t be back!

The service here is horrendous. That's mainly the downside. First few times they got my order wrong, so I learned my lesson, I don't leave without checking my order. They also take forever so I started ordering in advance, first couple times I had to wait an additional 5-8mins after giving them 15mims to get my order ready. So today I figured I'd tell them I'll be there in 15mins, when really it was gonna be a bit longer. I got there 30mins from when I first called and I told them im outside. I was waiting an additional 5mins parked at the door, so I got fed up and just took off. I'm sure they don't care, they probably get to eat the food no one picks up anyway. You should really drug test them, the one on the phone was nice but slow at speaking and I had to repeat my order like 3 times. BTW you should make them shut down that rap music too, I could hear it over the phone. Update. 8/13/23....Welll....its been a year and we needed rolls and honey for our meal at home. I figured I'd stop by real quick and grab some. It's just rolls, they can't really mess this up. They proved me wrong. I didn't check my order, it's just rolls and honey right? WRONG.....I get home and they gave me picante sauce!!! Seriously!!!??? Like how do you mess up a simple order of rolls and honey? 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Worst manager ever, rude and questions you about why you want salad dressing after you buy a salad. After you wait for a while they tell you that there isn't any fish and replaced it with chicken and refuses to give you the money difference. Roaches in the bathroom and some type of small black bugs, really disgusting but the manager is worst than the bugs.

Worse Chicken I've ever tasted. The flavor was something I can't describe but it wasn't pleasant. I've tasted their chicken in other towns and it was good. Some reason it was bad. I left the thigh alone. Ate only the roll which was the only thing that was good.

Food is awful! I ordered 2 piece fried chicken; got roasted. The chicken leg was the size of a pigeon! My husband ordered 2 piece white meat fried chicken. He got a thigh ( not white meat) and a wing. Signage says it comes with a breast and wing. We will NEVER stop here again!!!!!

Got my order wrong again. Didn't want gravy yet they decided to give cover my mashed potatoes and chicken in it. The lady forgot to give me my drink so I had to go back to pick it up and the soda fountain is off alot. Paid 12 dollars for 4 pieces of chicken essentially. The roll had a something on it that wasn't butter. Threw it away. Inside smelt bad too. Like sewage leak. Typical cotulla food

Paid $250 online for a party pack and a family pack, but received the wrong order. When I called the store to get it fixed, they refused. The manager said their system was wrong and it wasn't their fault. The ticket they got was completely different from what I ordered. Even though I showed them proof with the e-receipt, they still refused to fix it. I had to drive back to the store to get 20 chicken tenders out of the 30 I originally ordered. The manager claimed they were losing money, so they couldn't fulfill my order completely. In other words, check your orders and count your chicken before you leave the store because if they get it wrong, they will refuse to make it right, blaming their faulty online system. Basically you will not get what you paid for.
