Excellent sushi, the flavors were spot on and a great little lunch or dinner spot to stop by. The one thing I will note that may be helpful to others is that the sushi is HUGE. Typically my husband and I order three rolls everywhere we go and that's usually good to fill us up without being overfilled. At Chitose, we got the OMG, Big Baller, and Crazy and these rolls are maassssive. The Crazy by itself was the size of 2 rolls and the Big Baller, each piece was about 3 inches in diameter. Delicious and great in flavor, but just keep that in mind when ordering! 😅

One of the best sushi places around excellent customer service great people super nice to my little girl even gave her a balloon when we left. Amazing rolls the big baller is to die for amazing place will be back soon! Update 4 years later still coming this is the best sushi in the central coast if you haven't been you need to I have been all over the state trying sushi to come back to my hometown to find the best ever ! Staff is top notch! If you haven't tried it yet you need too!

Reasonable prices on the a la carte section of the menu. Sushi rolls are pricey but what else is new around this town. Good miso; tofu isn't too soggy and the broth has good umami flavor.

Don't get the ramen to go. They don't package the noodles and broth separate so by the time you get home all you have super sogy noodles and ZERO broth.

A very disappointing experience at Chitose last Monday. The restaurant was almost empty, so the service was great, but the sushi was terrible. Watery and flaccid, it had clearly been deeply chilled or frozen, ruining the texture and taste. I’ve always heard that Monday is a bad day to go for sushi, but this was the first time I had a bad meal at Chitose.

I ordered a seafood teriyaki platter with veggies. Was supposed to be shrimp, scallops and white fish. The two shrimp were fully encased with the shell and had to be opened with your hands 😭 There were no scallops at all and with the white fish was a strange meat that I couldn't identify, maybe pork. And there were no veggies. After voicing my displeasure they did nothing. This is a $28.00 plate that I will never order again. On a brighter note, my husband enjoyed his suchi.
