Have you ever heard the phrase “size isn’t everything”? Well that’s exactly what comes to mind when I think about this Subways. The attentive staff shows their undeniable passion for the art of sandwich making, truly living up to their title of sandwich artisan.
The food here is awesome. The store is always clean. And the two cashiers there are angels. I left my purse there 2 days ago and the manager was kind enough to set it aside for me. I also watched him give a courtesy soda to someone in need. To see such kindness in a time like this touches my heart. Thank you, please never change. 🙏
Made an online order for two footlongs from the phone while walking towards it and around 5-7 minutes away. It was ready even before we could reach. The online coupon was acceptable here too. We did not see an option to toast one of the sandwiches but she did it when asked about to toasting it there after we reached and while the sandwich was already made. The lady was very polite and patient to us. The place has a little space with only one table but this is NYC. Can’t blame them for any inconvenience during this entire transaction.

The food is amazing,😀😀😀😀 Me and my dad eat there almost every week it is but not a lot of people go there so it is good for small lines. If you are looking for a place to stop order quick and eat great food go to subway

Store super tiny has 2 tables that are squashed in the corners. Food was edible not mind bending delicious. Service was ok. Nothing special.
Place is small. Furthermore I wanted to use a coupon and they told me they only take certain ones. I don't understand how you only take certain Coupons. Not everyone can pay or want to pay 15$ for a sandwich. Then the coupon that they said I could use said I could get chips I was told I could only get a cookie.
It's a pretty small location. Really limited seating. I ordered a footling sandwich with rotisserie chicken. The portion of chicken was larger than I expected it would be. Something I disagree with is the way the employee heated the chicken. He stuffed it into a red mold and placed it in the oven, which I don't think is a very food safe way of heating something. In other restaurants the employee would ask me if I wanted the sandwich toasted and spread the protein along the sandwich so that the protein and bread heat up together.
The sandwiches aren't really tasty anymore like it use to be.

Staff are rude and unwelcoming. Most subway restaurants are small with limited seating, but I've never been treated this way. I was essentially kicked out as soon as I was done eating. But the disrepectful way I was told is my real issue and when I told them that I was going to file a complaint, they could care less & I see why. Based on all of these complaints, this place needs to be shut down and needs new management. Needless to say I will not be returning and neither should anyone else!

I ordered online for pickup when I arrived my sandwhich was not ready, which was no problem but as i watched her make my sandwich order i asked for her to add alil bbq sauce as well( which was not on the order) however she was still in the midst of making the sandwhich, she first acted like she didnt hear me until i got louder than she proceeded to say shes only doing whats on the paper ! I asked her is it an additional fee (which i knew it was not) ? what would be the problem with you adding a squirt of bbq? Mind you there was no line and i order once aweek from this establishment.. she gave me a nasty look and proceeded to close the sandwich! She is not welcoming at all

This is by far the worst Subway I have ever been to . The South American lady who works at the front counter was so RUDE to me and refused to remake my sandwich when I asked her politely . I was given a very harsh attitude by her and she even said if I don’t like my sandwich that she will throw it out for me but will no remake it the way I asked ln a nice fashion . I even asked politely to speak with the manager and the lady working at the front counter who made my sandwich refused to let me speak to the manager . Shame on the manager for hiring such rude and disrespectful staff who don’t even know or show a sense of Decency with customers . PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND AVOID THIS SUBWAY LOCATION AT 165 CHURCH STREET AT ALL POSSIBLE COSTS .
Prices are $5 more in person than online order. They hide sandwich making station so you can’t see the sandwich being made.

Very small space. Even going in there after the lunch rush hour, they still get your order wrong. They don’t know how to prepare a salad properly and over charge you. They’re very clueless about their reward program. I’m going to have to stop going in there.

Hacker go onto my Subway app and ordered a sub with my payment method to this location. I called 9 times and they only answered around the 7th time just to ignore what I was saying, tell me the address and hang up on me. I understand if you are busy and can’t answer the phone, but why did it forward to a wireless number with a full mailbox? And why when I said “a hacker just ordered a sub from my account” wasn’t I taken seriously?
The place must be under new management because I haven’t had bad experiences with them until recently. I should have read the other reviews. The hours say they are open at 10am on Saturdays, and when we went in at 10:30am, the lady behind the counter was so rude and basically kicked us out saying the food isn’t ready. She can’t explain why nothing is ready 30 minutes after opening! Not sure we’ll be going back.
Lady is rude and disrespectful, gave me old deli meat and made the sandwich with the wrong meat to begin with.
We walked in here to get 2 foot long sandwiches and the lady making them had such a negative vibe. She acted like someone made her work there against her wishes. She had such an attitude and mind you the store is tiny and only had 3 customers ( we made up 2 of them ). As for my sandwich the bread was crunchy sadly and I only had like 4 or 5 small pieces of bacon. I tasted more bread than anything. This subway is permanently closed as far as I'm concerned. A little customer service can go a long way.

2 days ago we give instructions to cut the footlong in 2 and wrap separately. They did not comply. It was my friend who went to get our orders. This time I went to get our orders and they did the same. So I got mad and told the owner why the options to give instructions was not complied. And she said they are allowed to make mistakes, and I told her that they did that to our orders 2 days ago. She said they get a lot of orders. But at that time, it was only my order there that I saw. She said not to go back there. She gave me my orders and said thank you. When I check there was no napkin and asked for napkins. I told her thanks and left. Yeah, I won't be going back there.
Ordered using the app so I can pick it up. I ordered a chicken and bacon footlong (The Great Garlic to be exact) and it barely had any meat. Like you actually can't see it when you open the sandwich. The bread wasn't toasted and the vegetables were old. The spinach was wilted and the one of the tomato slices had the bottom still attached. Edit / Update: I ate only this sandwich today and didn't feel too good. Few hours later. I was stuck on the toilet from 9:17pm to 10:32pm. Not fun at all. You think you're done, stand up, lower intestine gurgles then you're back on the toilet again. Repeat for an hour.

The one worker that was here is doing an amazing job, but she is clearly overworked and this place is grossly understaffed. They have one person making simultaneously making sandwiches for multiple people, while running the cash register and taking orders. Management is doing a terrible job staffing this place and for that i must give one star. I suggest the workers unionize ASAP.

This was not the first time that I have gone to this subways. Lets start with the positives: The store was open Now the negatives: The store is so small that I had to wait outside even though I was the 4th customer in line. There is no salad menu. Online there was a big one and it said that thus subways has one. When I asked the lady working there if they had salads she said yes. I had to ask her again before she told me that any sandwich could be made into a salad. The lady started out by putting romain lettuce in the bowl and then other toppings. I explained to her thst I could not have romain lettuce. She then tried to hand pick the lettuce out. I told her that she needed to resart the order. She refused to at first until the person working with her told her to restart. Then she began hand picking the green pepper and other ingredients from the other bowl. This lady does not understand what good customer service is. Very very rude. The workers had no clue what gulten free means. The store was dirty. You can tell they hardly clean this very tiny store. They only get 1 star from me
I have lived in NYC for 10 yrs now and this was the worst experience I've encountered so far. I came in to this Subway restraunt Sep. 24th at 935pm and was told repeatedly that their store was closed yet when I pointed out that the stated hours on the door for closing was for 10pm, the employee of Asian decent screamed at me for several minutes before finally agreeing to make me a sandwich. During the entire time he was preparing my sandwich, he continued to yell and swear at me for coming in a half hour before closing. I bit my tongue after getting my food and left the store around 945. I just hope people are aware that they will be treated this way, and hope the store management or owner realizes that they are losing business by certain employees stating that their store is closed 30 min before the stated hours on top of being yelled at their entire time being at the store. CUSTOMER SERVICE AT IT'S WORSE!!

The Mexican lady working the sandwiches was very rude, I asked for the meal of the day she started prepping it. I was a little worried because I'm allergic to sesame seeds so I asked to change from seeded chicken to plain chicken on my sandwich. She said no and to order something else for a higher price. I was on a budget so I asked for reassurance if the seeds on the chicken were sesame or not and she said she doesn't know. It wouldn't have hurt to accommodate that one little thing to be safe if you're unsure. But I guess the chicken inventory comes out of her pocket. I see many complaints about this lady being rude..
I stopped going to this Subway many months ago because there was a metal partition hiding the food preparation and ingredient area. I noticed today that it has been removed, so I decided to give it another try, but I won't be returning because they are VERY stingy with the ingredients. The lady working there today put so few olives on my sandwich I knew I wouldn't even be able to taste them. When I asked for more, she told me (in broken English) that it would cost extra, and then she added like 3 extra olive pieces. Ridiculous! I asked her to show me the amount of olives that counts as "extra" and tell me how much it would cost, but was not able to clearly explain. She just said "six six six, everything six." They are rude and stingy, and they don't have bags with handles that can hold your sandwich, chips, and cookie. NEVER AGAIN. This is the worst Subway location I've ever visited.

The customer service was not that great in my experience. There was a Mexican lady who was very rude to my family and did not want to give full service. She refused to give me napkins and made faces at us.
Staff wasn’t terrible but weren’t particularly helpful or friendly either. You can’t see the food or ingredients which I thought was very strange. It’s all hidden behind a metal lid. When I finally opened my sandwich it seemed much smaller than I’m used to from subway and it had very little flavor. I don’t recommend. I feel like I got scammed lol
Cashier( Mexican Lady) is very Rude Attitude..Mad that my daughter drop cereal on the floor by accident... I apologize to her about it. She still had attitude rolling her eyes. This store doesn't let you see them make the sandwich. There's is a metal his that hides the preparation and ingredient area. That's a HARD NO for me. I walked in for my order that would be ready by 12:40. I was 10 minutes early. I didn’t want to interrupt them as they were making other sandwiches. The guy asked about “pickups” and I told him that my ordered says it would be ready by 12:40. He had an attitude and went to check. When he gave me my sandwich, I explained it to him again and called me crazy for not saying my name from the start. No respect and rude customer service just because I decided to follow the app. I didn’t want to be rude since they were busy handling other sandwiches. That’s what I got in returned for being polite.
I came in and asked for half a footlong and I repeated myself twice. You can’t see the food while they make it so I was unaware until the end that she had actually made me a footlong. After the food was made and placed above to where I could see that she made a foot long I told her “I’m sorry I didn’t ask for a footlong I asked for half a footlong”. To which she responded very rude by saying that she asked me multiple times and I said a footlong, but I had said both times that I wanted half a footlong but I’m assuming she clearly only heard me say footlong. Then again just asked if she could cut it in half and she kept on saying that I asked for a footlong and didn’t want to just cut my sandwich in half. After she finally cut my sandwich in half and I grabbed my meal and went to fill up my drink she began talking to herself calling me stupid while my friend was right in front of her and he heard her calling me stupid and said that she’s being very rude and unprofessional because of the way that she was talking about me right in front of my friend. Afterwards I told her she didn’t have to be rude and nasty towards me over a simple misunderstanding. We grabbed our food and left instead of sitting down to eat because she just ruined the vibe. 0/10 not coming back she even squashed my sandwich after she cut it and shoved it into the bag and made a mess.

I was a little worried because I'm allergic to sesame seeds so I asked to change from seeded chicken to plain chicken on my sandwich. She said no and to order something else for a higher price. I was on a budget so I asked for reassurance if the seeds on the chicken were sesame or not and she said she doesn't know. It wouldn't have hurt to accommodate that one little thing to be safe if you're unsure. But I guess the chicken inventory comes out of her pocket. I see many complaints about this lady being rude..
Staff doesn't know their own address, and that there is another Subway around the corner that online orders might be sent to. Non existent concept of customer service.
Worst subway ever i ordered like 30min ahead for pick up it wasnt ready when i got there hispanic lady said i have to wait so i waited when she finally started making my sandwhich i asked to add extra meat that i was gonna pay the fee for it but she said she cant that she would charge me forba whole foot long of i just wanted extra meat which it like 4$ only which it so dumb i always ask for extra and they just charge me 4$ not a whole sandwhich DONT EAT THERE
Lady is rude and disrespectful, gave me old deli meat and made the sandwich with the wrong meat to begin with.
the “manager” here is extremely rude and wrote me off when i asked for extra greens even though it was marked on my online order that i wanted extra i’m looking to contact the owner of the establishment
The customer service was not that great in my experience. There was a Mexican lady who was very rude to my family and did not want to give full service. She refused to give me napkins and made faces at us.
Cashier( Mexican Lady) is very Rude Attitude..Mad that my daughter drop cereal on the floor by accident... I apologize to her about it. She still had attitude rolling her eyes. I been coming to Subways for years , Also my boss used to own it so im surprise This one cashier acting so rude... I will never come here again.. And I will tell everybody on the block don't come either....
This store doesn't let you see them make the sandwich. There's is a metal his that hides the preparation and ingredient area. That's a HARD NO for me. I asked why they didn't let you see the sandwich Manning process and she just rolled her eyes at me. I walked out. There's too many choices to wonder what they are hiding at this store.
Staff wasn’t terrible but weren’t particularly helpful or friendly either. You can’t see the food or ingredients which I thought was very strange. It’s all hidden behind a metal lid. When I finally opened my sandwich it seemed much smaller than I’m used to from subway and it had very little flavor. I don’t recommend. I feel like I got scammed lol
Will have you pay first then refuse to put toppings/sauces you want due to “limit”. Then won’t let you pay extra either for said toppings/sauce because they just don’t want to and then for the grand finale, throw your sandwich to you instead of handing it over. - based on true events
I came in and asked for half a footlong and I repeated myself twice. You can’t see the food while they make it so I was unaware until the end that she had actually made me a footlong. After the food was made and placed above to where I could see that she made a foot long I told her “I’m sorry I didn’t ask for a footlong I asked for half a footlong”. To which she responded very rude by saying that she asked me multiple times and I said a footlong, but I had said both times that I wanted half a footlong but I’m assuming she clearly only heard me say footlong. Then again just asked if she could cut it in half and she kept on saying that I asked for a footlong and didn’t want to just cut my sandwich in half. After she finally cut my sandwich in half and I grabbed my meal and went to fill up my drink she began talking to herself calling me stupid while my friend was right in front of her and he heard her calling me stupid and said that she’s being very rude and unprofessional because of the way that she was talking about me right in front of my friend. Afterwards I told her she didn’t have to be rude and nasty towards me over a simple misunderstanding. We grabbed our food and left instead of sitting down to eat because she just ruined the vibe. 0/10 not coming back she even squashed my sandwich after she cut it and shoved it into the bag and made a mess.
Hacker go onto my Subway app and ordered a sub with my payment method to this location. I called 9 times and they only answered around the 7th time just to ignore what I was saying, tell me the address and hang up on me. I understand if you are busy and can’t answer the phone, but why did it forward to a wireless number with a full mailbox? And why when I said “a hacker just ordered a sub from my account” wasn’t I taken seriously?
I walked in for my order that would be ready by 12:40. I was 10 minutes early. I didn’t want to interrupt them as they were making other sandwiches. The guy asked about “pickups” and I told him that my ordered says it would be ready by 12:40. He had an attitude and went to check. When he gave me my sandwich, I explained it to him again and called me crazy for not saying my name from the start. No respect and rude customer service just because I decided to follow the app. I didn’t want to be rude since they were busy handling other sandwiches. That’s what I got in returned for being polite.
