Great place to take the whole family. Service was outstanding. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was full of cheer. This place is filled with history. Must visit if you go out to Long Island. They also have numerous shops with great unique products, especially if you're going gift shopping.
Fun & historical visit for Morhers Day Brunch. Restaurant & little tourist village w setting dating back to Quakers of 1647! Mini animal farm w variety of roosters & other birds...a few ponies. Nice family outing...good for small children. Not cheap or exotic, but apple pie all-American diversions.
My wife and I had dinner at Milleridge Inn during this week's Long Island Restaurant Week. In the past we have been to Milleridge for special events and December holidays so this was the first time we had been here for this regional undertaking. There were many choices on the "limited" menu as opposed to the way some restaurants handle Restaurant Week by only offering a few choices. There were three courses including plentiful appetizers and very hearty entrees and several full size desserts. The chef prepared our dinners magnificently! Our waiter, Edwin, was extremely attentive and helpful (his suggestions were spot-on) and the manager, Elias, checked on us several times. The large portions of brilliantly prepared delights were more than we could handle and take-away containers were needed, which is surprising with my appetite! The restaurant genuinely impressed us and we will certainly return before the holidays!
I really love this restaurant.I also love the fact that they have the little village which is really fun to go to!! The food is really good!!
My wife and I came for Thanksgiving dinner despite some reviews that I read I have to say the service was of the upmost Our dinner was very good and tasty and I would recommend the Millridge for your dining pleasure
We went for dinner and were truly impressed by the beauty of the place. Each room has its own charm, and walking through them while reading about the history was a great experience. As for the food; it was just okay. I’d give it 1 out of 5 stars if you’re going for the meals alone. If you’re expecting a flavorful or standout dining experience, this may not be the right spot. That said, their drinks, cinnamon bread, French fries, pork chops, and mac and cheese were all surprisingly delicious and worth trying, but the rest of the food was 1 star.
We had dinner here last evening and it was a great experience! The food was great, the atmosphere was great and the service was great! Our server, Nancy, was polite, attentive and friendly! Highly recommended!
First Time there in many years, the price fix menau was great. Servise was wonderful. cant wait to go back
Lunch was delicious and the service was wonderful. It was a great way to beat the winter blues.
Surprisingly well executed very pleasant evening will definitely go back. Haven’t been in years. New menu was great service was exemplary.
Milleridge Inn Went Above and Beyond When my elderly mother passed away, we knew we had to honor one of her final wishes: to celebrate her life with a gathering at the Milleridge Inn. She had cherished this historic landmark since the 1970s, spending countless family occasions there. It was her happy place. When I called to reserve a luncheon for Monday, July 21, I was told—understandably—that the Inn is normally closed on Mondays during the summer. I explained how much this meant to my mom, Claire Morris. Without hesitation, Manager Karen Ascencio listened with genuine compassion. And then, something extraordinary happened: she made it possible. Karen opened the Milleridge Inn just for us. Mind you, we weren’t a group of 200+—we were just 28 people. Yet we were treated with such warmth, respect, and care. The cost was extremely reasonable, but what we received was priceless. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for opening your doors and your hearts to our family. Everything was absolutely perfect. The staff were attentive and kind, the food was delicious, and the Inn and Garden Room looked stunning—just as my mom always remembered. I know she was smiling down from heaven. Forever grateful, Peter Morris
Such a great place to visit especially during the holidays. It is so incredibly festive and beautiful. Every inch of this historic property is covered in beautiful holiday decorations. We visited the Milleridge Inn and started out by enjoying dinner in the Milleridge Inn. It was delicious. We had the chicken, and the kids had chicken fingers. We were able to walk around a bit and see some of the banquet rooms. They are also decorated. We loved the Philodendrum room. It was so pretty. We were even able to see the original part of the Milleridge Inn. Then we strolled the Milleridge Village. More beautiful lights and decorations. We used some of the backdrops to take some family photos. We visited the bakery for some cookies and the general store and the Christmas shop. We were able to get some hot chocolate for the kids in the Cafe. It was such a cute and festive night. They have the grinch events at the Carriage house, would love to try that next year. Overall it was a must see!
For the cottage - Pam, Amanda and Sue knocked it out of the park with our day. We always had a fresh drink in hand, they whisked us around the grounds like royalty as well as our parents and bridal party. The food was endless, the drinks were amazing, waitstaff was spectacular, cake was not only gorgeous but delicious and the cottage is just the ultimate setting. Truly the best day of our lives and the best most attentive team! Would highly recommend. Plus who doesnt love the charm of the village and the peacocks!
Loved this place as Christmas. Went with the family for a very americana christmas. They had christmas carolers, beautiful decorations and a nice menu. You have to get the cinnamon bread for the table. Also the Christmas village is a great way to spend some time as well before you eat.
The Milleridge Halloween Village is back!! This has become one of our favorite spots for the holidays. They go all out with decorations, treats, games, bounce houses, a spooky train ride, a haunted house, an escape room, a pumpkin patch, and plenty of photo ops! This year they added igloos, which are decorated super cute. My boys always have a great time here.
If you want to impress your girlfriend or wife, this is a beautiful place with nice decor and food, but bring alot of money, they have shops to look around in,but the best experience is in the restaurant itself, try the buffet. I felt like a space alien because it was out of this world 🌎, come hungry don't eat for a day . Then you will get your money's worth.
Butch and his team are amazing! A truly wonderful venue. Thank you for making our event a reality. Our son's Bar Mitzvah and daughter's Bas Mitzvah were Kosher catered here. We are looking forward to many more wonderful occasions at the Cottage at the Milleridge. Highest recommendation.
Went in late November, it was all decorated for Christmas which I loved, very cozy, was able to sit in front of fireplace. They give you a warm cinnamon bread before your meal which was amazing! I ordered the French onion soup which had so much cheese just the way I like it, we shared a roast sandwich to share and I’m glad we did because it was big with fries. They also have a bar and sitting area. Big parking lot, they had a Christmas village but only open on weekends which was a shame, I would have loved to get a coffee and pastry shop around and get some unique gifts☹️
Been years since dining there, but with Christmas decorations up and the village stores all stocked up with holiday goodies. They had a fun sleigh ride for kids behind a small tractor - they loved it as well as a Santa visit. Food and drinks were first class and improved from many years ago. No complaints. Prices were as to be expected in the 2022 inflation era. But reasonable compared to the high quality of the food. Highly recommend.
Came here for an early lunch yesterday, Sunday November 23, after not being here for many years. We now live in NJ and happened to be on the area. Everyone enjoyed their food. I had the French Onion soup and it was fantastic. I also ordered their Burger and fries and those were great as well. If we are in the area again we will be back.
My party of 3 ordered a variety of food for dinner & each one was happy with their meal. One problem- the bread is so delicious I started to get full. Similar to when I was in Italy. The atmosphere is very festive with the Milleridge village right there to shop for the holidays or get something from the delicious bakery. The service was good but I felt that the waitress came over too many times & I felt that she was trying to get us out. Now there were plenty of tables available including a table for 4 which we were at. The restaurant was not ready to close either so I don’t understand her behavior unless she felt that was giving extra special service. Nevertheless we had a great time & I will be back there in a little over a month with my friends again (I live in Suffolk County or I would go more often) I highly recommend this restaurant & particularly around the holidays with all the decorations.
Milleridge Inn is a stunning location for a wedding. We love shooting here! The outdoor space offers gorgeous backdrops for photos with its immaculate gardens and beautiful landscape. The indoors is also very elegant making it perfect for portraits and reception shots, making them feel timeless. We especially love the beautiful lights and outdoor patio, they make for amazing photos. Here are some our favorites:
It's been years since I've been here. We had tickets to a show and wanted to grab a quick lunch. The service was prompt and accommodating. It was a bit of a shock to see the price of a coke but that's a sign of the times. The cinnamon bread they serve is divine! Overall, great service, clean bathrooms and a nice atmosphere. Great place to go during the holidays, too.
We went for Sunday brunch and it was wonderful! The atmosphere is classic and totally represents the vibe of the 1692 build date and beyond! The decor is very cool with some antique items and beautiful wood mill work throughout. The food selection for brunch was absolutely amazing! Everything you can imagine and MORE! The bread is delicious and the small loaf baked with cinnamon sugar was perfect. This is the bread they make the French toast with and it's delicious also! There was fresh fruit, every kind of cheese 🧀 imaginable, little cereals, pastries, smoked salmon, bagels, a cornucopia of hot dishes including tilapia. They have an omelet station to design your own as they cook it for you right there. There's a seafood bar with shrimp and king crabblegs, a carving board with turkey and London broil. Just amazing. Our server was a sweetie and was very attentive. Definitely was really nice and fun. Food delicious and well worth the price! Will be going back for sure!!
We went for Christmas for an extended family dinner and it was great. The food was tasty and well prepared - a number of us had the salmon, I had the braised beef and my mom and wife had the pot roast and all was good. The place was decorated beautifully for Christmas and they had carolers who sang very well. We have been going here around Christmas for years and it is always a festive Christmas atmosphere but this year, the food was particularly good. This is a great place to go to for a Christmas dinner.
We had a nice luncheon upstairs in one of the special rooms (it was actually called "The Office"). The served a nice buffet spread, along with an open bar. There was plenty of room, and they served a plate of assorted cookies for dessert. The service always attentive, and the room was quiet. It was perfect.
This was my first time at the Milleridge Inn for dinning. It's Christmas time so it was extremely busy. Be prepared for a bit of confusion if you go btwn 12pm and 1pm. The hostess was great to keep things moving. Once you arrive you're in for a treat with the decorations alone. The food adds to the whole experience. The servers were polite, knowledgeable and quick. They had Dickes Carolers which puts the icing on the cake. I see why this is the most popular spot during Christmas on LI. I'll be back.
The atmosphere is charming and full of character, the kind of place that makes you feel warm and welcomed the moment you walk in. The food was outstanding: fresh, flavorful, and beautifully served. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, making sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. From start to finish, the service and ambiance were exceptional. A truly memorable dining experience. Highly recommended!
Visited The Milleridge Inn for a Halloween event, and it was a fantastic experience! The party atmosphere was lively, with awesome live music and plenty of dancing. The full-course meal was delicious and well-prepared, making the night even better. The crowd was friendly, and the costumes added a fun, festive vibe to the event. Overall, a great place for a themed night out with good food, music, and company.
I attended a pre Mother’s Day brunch event held for the ladies of LICOA on May 4, 2025. The event catered to approximately 80 people in my party and it was run decidedly very well. The ambiance of the facility was quite unique, and lent a fine old Long Island country flair. It was rather classy if I must say! The food… oh the food…. It was absolutely 💯 delicious! They’re were several, at least two omelette stations, a cold cheese and salad spread, nice assortment of fresh cut fruits, another generous area of hot lunches serving a divine lamb stew, yummy chicken franchise, hot pasta dishes, an array of cold and hot seafood such as shrimp cocktail, king crab legs, oysters and the works! The desert spread included a variety of sliced cakes, cannoli, pastries, brownies, cookies, cobblers and pies etc. Needless to say I sampled the goodies and it did not disappoint my tastebuds! This fine catering facility, The Milleridge Inn here on Long Island has for sure made my list of superb, well run establishments. I’ll certainly be coming back here very soon! The staff were attentive, friendly and very accommodating. For such a large crowd in my event, taking into consideration that there was also another event, a baby shower being held in another section, we never felt neglected in service in any way. Parking… there was plenty and more than ample parking. The lot is huge. As for wheelchair accessibility, it surely is, I saw a ramp when you entered the front doors so that makes for easy entry with a wheelchair. This facility is also family and kid friendly. I highly recommend The Milleridge Inn for all of your catering needs! Its location is perfect of any event from weddings, to baby showers and dinners to brunches. 06/15/25~Response to Owner: Thanks for the kind words! I’m happy to support local businesses like yours.
This place was so beautiful. It has been around since before the Revolutionary War. Established in 1672 I believe. A lot history here. One of the oldest food eateries in the U.S. . The food was excellent, the service was on point and the atmosphere was perfect for this time of year. They had it all decked out for the holidays. It must have taken a lot of time to put up all those decorations. We had braised short rib, pot roast, Long Island duck and a steak sandwich. It’s a little on the pricey side but if you can afford it don’t hesitate to go. They also have a little village on the premises with shops, Santa pictures a chain saw wood carver and more. See the website for times and dates.
We love this charming restaurant. It is really is one of a kind. The decorations are just over the top and we just love being there. After we eat in the restaurant we love heading over to the shops. The Christmas shop is filled with so much holiday decor and gifts. Every year we come we purchase a new nut cracker to add to our collection.
We had a lovely time at the Milleridge Inn. It was our first time dining at the restaurant and it was perfect. The restaurant is decorated for the holidays and is absolutely charming. If you decide to visit take note of all the vintage decor throughout the restaurant. There's so many great pieces. The Food was excellent! My salad was enormous, I had to take half of it home. We really enjoyed the food and plan to come back again to try out some of their other items. The waitress was so sweet and attentive. She was very familiar with the property and we enjoyed chatting with her about the property. There is a beautiful little village that is over the top with decorations for the holidays. I couldn't believe how beautifully decorated it was. We even caught the Peacocks sleeping in the trees. There is a bakery, General Store, Christmas Store, Ice Cream Parlor, and a little bar and grill in the village. The bar and grill is offering some holiday events with the Grinch which looks pretty cool. It was really nice to stroll through and browse the shops. There are kids games, activities, a train ride, and games also available, but thats only open on the weekends.
My favorite restaurant. Service is always top notch and the food is always excellent. Highly recommended

Very cozy spot for comfort food. The service is excellent and the food is very good. They can easily accommodate very large parties. Come check out this Long Island landmark...
It's a cute place. Very lovely decorated. They had a bounce house area for the kids with 4 different inflatables. There was no one price, you had to buy 4 tickets at 5.00 each for each inflatable. Try telling an 8 year old that he has to choose 1, so of course you have to buy all 4. The food was ok. It's more of a catering hall style food than a nice restaurant in my opinion. We had the clams oreganato as an appetizer and you could barely chew them they were so rubbery. The entrées were ok, but like I said, it was like you were at a wedding with mass produced food rather than a restaurant. For all the hype....I wasn't very impressed, but my son had a good time and our waitress was wonderful.
I love Milleridge Inn. we were there on a bit of an off night. We had a party of 9 people. Everyone raved about the cauliflower appetizer, my pot roast sandwich was incredibly good. No one else was enthusiastic about their meals, unfortunately their delicious popovers were not available and there were limited dessert selections. But still four stars. Love the place and will be back, it just wasn't as stellar as usual.
Great food, always a nice place to visit. Holiday parties are 5-star here. The food is fantastic and cooked to order meticulously. The portions are as expected. The service is (generally) phenomenal and the waiters and waitresses are very attentive. The atmosphere is fantastic and it's quite a lovely place to visit, especially around the holidays. They go all out with the lights and decorations and carolers around the Christmas holiday. Only problem, parking. While it has a large parking lot, it fills up extremely quickly on weekends, holidays, and other days where company or corporate business parties happen. Arrive early. Update Dec 2025: Service has severely degraded, at least for my party of 50. I can't say how it is overall though. This has NEVER been an issue before. They only had two waitresses to tend to 50 people. That was the primary issue. Myself and the rest of my table and numerous other people had to fill up our own water glasses, pour our own wine at the bar, and when someone stepped away from the table for a phone call or a bathroom break, the waitresses did not serve them any food. Getting their attention was impossible so I had to stand up and walk out of the room during the presentation to go to the hallway and tell them exactly what they forgot for the number of people. Even after that, they brought over two out of four salads. I had to show both waitresses/bartenders how to open a wine bottle by using the corkscrew to open 2 bottles on my own. This was a corporate event.
This review is for The Milleridge Inn bakery. Very odd school and fun to visit. Friendly service. Mix of pastries, cheese cake, cakes, cookies, brownies & cupcakes. Let's face it this place has been around a long time according to other reviews, and deserves a star just for that. Purchased two small cake squares which were 4.50 each! Expensive. They were picked by a guest who I was visiting. Nothing else is opened at this time so there wasn't much to do. Looks like they have a brawly guy walking around watching the area and you!, lol! $$
I went to the Easter buffet in the Cottage this time, but I had also been here for Christmas. As a vegetarian, the buffet is the better choice. There's a good variety of food, all very tasty, and the restaurant and grounds are festively decorated. On holidays, be forewarned that the wait is very long! There are shops you can visit that are part of the Milleridge Inn, across from the restaurant itself. There was also a petting zoo and a lady making balloon animals for the kids. Aside from the long wait time, one other very small negative was that the baked desserts were a bit on the dry side, possibly because of the late time of day. In all, they do a great job on holiday celebrations, and I plan on going back for another holiday.
Technically it was the Village and NOT the Inn... unsure if you'd classify it as the same on here? Regardless, the Village has always been a great place to visit - especially with the kids as they grew up! The wife and I recently visited during the holiday lights and it was beautiful. Stores were already closed; but they're always fun to browse and peruse. The peacocks during the warm months are always fun to see casually walking around. I'd highly recommend visiting - Preferably when the shops are open!
We haven't gone in years but do glad we returned. The Inn is updated but still remains charming. Food was excellent as were the cinnamon bread n pop-overs. My husband said the bartender made the best old fashion that he has ever had. Thanks Milleridge n Nancy, our server.
The Milleridge Inn feels like stepping into a charming historic home warm, beautifully decorated, and full of character. The food has that true house‑made taste, the kind that feels comforting from the first bite. Portions are big, so come hungry. I had the roast pot and the chicken lemon piccata, and both were flavorful, tender, and clearly made with care. And the bread… they give you so much of it, fresh and perfect for soaking up every sauce. The décor is another highlight cozy, detailed, and full of that homey, nostalgic vibe that makes you want to linger. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel relaxed and taken care of. I loved the atmosphere and would definitely come back.
Went for a friends Christmas party, some of my party had an issue at the bar, being overcharged for happy hour drinks, service was nice but slow, Carolers to request from our table and sang, very festive. I got a breadless Brigade Eggplant sandwich. It was fine but portion was small. Someone else got the price fixed Yankee Pot Roast dinner which came with soup and dessert. It was tasty as was the bowl of mushroom soup.
The service is VERY slow. Each course took a long time to be brought out. We needed to remind them twice about bringing the martinis to the table. The decor is cute and the food is good. But overal…

The food was ok. I don’t understand they ask in the making the reservation they ask celebrating any occasions wrote in yes moms 55th birthday. Nothing was acknowledged. I understand not there responsibility but than don’t ask.
The food was not great and it arrived cold to the table. It appears that they don’t have the help they need for the amount of people in the restaurant. Once we got our food, no one came back for a while.
I’ve been going here since I was a kid. I went today and I ordered prime rib well done. It came out with a heartbeat. It went back and came out still more pink than brown. It wasn’t even medium well after the second time. I asked for a manager and I waited a half hour for the manager and they never came. I was gonna buy tickets for an upcoming event there but after today’s incident, I won’t be. Very disappointing!
A good solid meal in an historic place. I enjoyed my Manhattan cocktail, wine, service, Ceasar Salad and huge Rib Eye steak. However others in my party felt differently about their meals. I liked our server Mariann. She was pleasant and helpful. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. The atmosphere was nice and a good noise level for a group to have a conversation. However the overall food experience was disappointing based on the group's consensus. In the end. I will give this place another try since I was pretty satisfied with my experience.
We had a birthday lunch for a party of 10 yesterday and was very disappointed that we were charged for the bread on the table and the worst part was my son wanted his steak sandwich cooked medium well and we were charged an extra 12 dollars. That's absolutely ridiculous! We've gone there for 3 generations and we will not be returning!
Been going here since a child with my parents, over 50 years, I guess. You go there for the atmosphere and surroundings, especially at the holidays, and it's very beautiful and nostalgic. The food used to be much better than it's been the past few years. For the price, the food and service are not that good, just adequate. But, as I said, the main attraction is just being there.
A fun, and free family outing. During the holidays The Milleridge Inn comes to life with a holiday display walk through. The event is free, and anyone can visit. If you have small kids, this is perfect for them. There's a cute little train to drives around the lot, the kids would love it. The shops around the walk through are heavily lit up and stocked with all things holidays. The area is not big, and displays are close to one another, expect a crow and expect the stand on lines for shops and even to get pictures with the tree and the artificial Santa's. Over all, it's a nice little outing, it may take about 15-20 min to walk through if you don't stop at every display to admire or take some pics.

The last time I came here I was a kid and it was such a different experience. This time around I was so disappointed and grossed out. Our waitress and the manager were super friendly and attentive. (I want to preface that this review is not a reflection of them). The food and the cleanliness of the glasses and dishes were atrocious and ultimately ruined our dining experience. My partner was served a beer in a glass that was cloudy looking and the beer was BUBBLING as if it was a soda (this is a sign that it was not cleaned properly and bacteria was reacting to the alcohol in the glass). We informed our waitress and she provided us with another glass, but it was still bubbling and dirty. He did not end up drinking the beer. When our clams came, it was lukewarm served over soggy lettuce. For something that is pricey, I expected it to be served in a better manner. Once our entrees came, I was horrified. It looked like they re-plated old food. My meatloaf was lukewarm and when I touched the bottom of my plate, it was CAKED in food. I provided a picture, but it does not show how crusty the plate actually was. I question if they even cleaned my plate. We informed our waitress and she apologized and sent over her manager who took off my meal from the bill. He told us that they wear gloves while plating food, which “explains” why my plate was dirty, but if you’re wearing gloves, why is it caked in food? Wouldn’t you change gloves while serving it so the plate doesn’t become dirty? Isn’t there concern for cross contamination or if someone has allergies potentially getting it in a dish by accident? My partner was so grossed out that he did not even eat his food. For a beer, an app and the short ribs we paid $70 (not including tip). It was such a disappointing experience and we will not be returning.
Very disappointed with our visit. We paid $30 each for the P.O.P. bracelet mainly because it includes the Haunted House ($20 value on its own). When we got there, the Haunted House was closed. We asked if the kids could at least do the Pumpkin Patch instead, but the staff member, Kelly, insisted the Haunted House was “free” with the bracelet so we weren’t losing anything. That’s just not true — we paid for an attraction we never got. The other activities were fine, but nowhere near worth $30. If the main attraction isn’t open, families should be offered a fair replacement. Instead, it felt misleading and overpriced.
This was our Santa’s Train Ride!😂 An empty parking lot. The kid was great and we laughed but this was absolutely pathetic and they should not charge 1 penny for this! If you kid are interested take a scooter and ride around the shops! Food was mediocre. Overall a fun experience but would just say have a quick but, dessert at bakery on premises and skip the train! Happy Holidays!
I went for dinner. The service was not good. My husband’s food came 15 min after they served my entree. They ran out of popovers. I ordered the turkey which came without gravy or cranberry sauce. I had to ask for it. And I felt the turkey was not that fresh. The food was lukewarm. We ordered another iced tea which came after we finished eating. It was expensive. We could not hear the carolers even though they were in the same room. Needless to say we will not go back there again.
Heard it was supposed to be a good place, so we tried it. Food was very bland tasting. I had the fillet it was just ok, very little flavor to it. Calamari was probably the worst I have ever had, again no flavor and extremely chewy. To end the meal I got a bowl of hollandaise sauce dumped on me by the bus girl. Only positive I find about this place is a cool historical building.
This absolutely pains me to write this review, since I have such a history with the millerage and it reminds me so much of going there with my grandma, who if you didn’t know was the greatest woman to ever walk the earth. We used to go every year for Good Friday, but stopped that 2 years ago since it was just awful. But, we have family visiting from Italy and we thought ok, the food isn’t the best but it’s decent and you go there for the decorations anyway. The food was so bad, it was embarrassing. We had 4:15pm dinner reservations and they were already sold out of short rib, the pot roast we got instead was so dry we needed literally a bowl of gravy to drench it and be able to get it down. The service was so bad, that 2 items we ordered never made it to the table, and I had to bring my check to the waitress after waiting 25 minutes for her to come get it. No apps, 5 adults, 2 glasses of wine, and 2 kids (who ate macaroni & butter) was $338 before tip. As much as I love the decorations and the history there for me personally, I just can’t do it again. The food at the millerage was never exceptional but it was edible, tonight was beyond inedible and I am so heartbroken. Dover has taken an icon and drove it into the ground
tl;dr I do not recommend. The food is awful and way overpriced. I really wanted to love it. The atmosphere is so cozy and welcoming. It's early February here in NY and they really capured cabin comfort, with valentine's decorations and a wood burning fire place roaring. The staff were ok, not very warm, but not totally standoffish either. The issue I had was the food. It was terrible. They had an impressive spread for brunch and every single item (that I tried) was a disappointment. The chicken franchise, eggs, quiche, waffles, chicken fingers, fries, biscuits and gravy were dried out and clearly sitting around for way too long in the warming dishes. The melon was under ripe and the strawberries were going bad. The desserts were just not good. At over $60 per person (drinks not even included), I don't know what they are thinking. I will never come back, which is so sad because this place truly is adorable.
Place is not great! All of our food was cold. It took 20 min to get our drinks. The waiter S Danish said the bartender was slammed. We ordered apps. Salad, entries and dessert and coffee. We were told the apps and salad had to come out together. We could have the apps then salad , then entre. Spinach was so salty, risotto tasted like success rice boiled. String beans some were crunchy, others mooshy and they were not dressed. Just plain. Salad had no walnuts or cranberries as described, just plain lettuce. Dressing tasted like it was from a pouch, the kind you get from a deli for lunch. When told the waiter did bring us some walnuts and cranberries to add to the salad. Atmosphere wonderful. Food not so much. Next time I'll just go for drinks.
Really disappointed with my experience here. Busy Thursday with only one bartender and charged almost $18 for a generic chardonnay!!?? Outrageous! Four Seasons prices without the quality. People working our event were like deer in headlights when we needed something. Waited very long for water and coffee and needed to be reminded. Food mediocre except for the cheesecake. The village looks like it used to be nice, but no carolers, no cheerful greetings, even the merchandise looks like it was just put out without care for the display and experience. The Santa posting for pics looked grumpy and disheveled. Sad.
Food was cold service was poor. We go every year such a shame because the atmosphere is good

On Mother's Day, the service provided by Amanda, the hostess at The Cottage at Milleridge Inn, was a complete disaster. She was rude, dismissive, and definitely not someone you would want to greet guests upon arrival. It was clear that there was no real system or order in place, resulting in confusion and chaos. Upon our arrival, we waited in line for 25 minutes to check in, only to be told to "wait on the side," where we then stood for another 20 minutes. During our wait, we overheard other guests mentioning that they had also been waiting a long time, only to find out that there was a very limited selection of food available once they entered the dining room. Amanda often disappeared for long periods—15 to 20 minutes at a time—without providing any updates on our wait status. This only added to my frustration with the chaotic scene. The only reason we stayed was that we had prepaid $75 per person; otherwise, we would have left. After an hour and a half, we were finally seated. What immediately caught my attention was the dirty water glasses and stained teacups at our table, which alarmed me. Fortunately, one of the servers noticed my shock and did her best to return with clean glassware and utensils. When we reached the buffet station, we found that most of the food was gone, with only French fries, hot dogs, and a scant cheese and vegetable platter available. We had to wait excessively for some of the food to be replenished. Thankfully, the rest of the staff was kind, and some even checked in on me and my mom, which I truly appreciated, but by then, the damage had already been done. When the food was finally restocked, it was evident that the quality was poor and the flavors were bland at best. What was supposed to be a special day to celebrate my mom turned into a disaster. I will never return to Milleridge Inn.
This place has a winter village going on is crowded mainly for kids not many food options only the same thing fried Oreo cookies bakery with non flavors can't even walk or take pictures restaurant inside village claimed it was all booked when there was tables available horrible place
Absolutely horrible !!!! holiday party this past week. Would have been better at white castle !! What a shame that the owners have destroyed a beloved long island family restaurant. Not only are they disorganized but steak was like leather , service was slow and quality lacking.
After having an absolutely below average dinner, the shops that are supposed to close at 8pm are already closed at 7pm. If you have hours, especially for the holidays, honor them. We will never visit this dump again.
I’m at a Valentine’s Day dance here for almost 3 hrs and no food. This place is the worst. Would it be wrong to order pizzas here
Such a beuatiful landmark, too bad it is run by a management group with such snakes. I had a party booked with an agreement to pay by CC (in advance, which seemed highly suspect to begin with). The, right before the party they demand cash or they are going to cancel. They do not stand behind the contracts/agreements they empower their people to sign. And they are downright vulgar and rude on the phone. Nice job "owner David"...
The menu promised a choice between fries or a salad with our sandwich, yet we were charged extra for the side salad, which felt misleading and disappointing. Every dish arrived cold, undermining what should have been enjoyable meals. The bread, reminiscent of a cinnamon roll, was dense and dry, making it difficult to eat without plenty of water. The trench fries, though not limp, lacked the necessary warmth to deliver their intended crispness. The absence of a soup of the day was attributed to the staff still “waking up,” highlighting a broader lack of preparation. Throughout, the service carried an adversarial tone, making us feel more like burdens than valued guests. Portions were excessively large, almost punitive, as the poor quality left much of the food uneaten. The burger was overly charred, drowning out any nuanced flavors and making each bite a struggle. The combination of cold food and unwelcoming service overshadowed the entire dining experience, indicating that The Milleridge Inn has significant room for improvement in both their culinary offerings and guest relations.
we used to go about ten years ago - and decided to bring my 83 year old father for an after christmas celebration - made a reservation and were seated - and then were ignored - you have to know to ask for the bread and popovers and everything is an upcharge - was very disappointed and will never ever come back.
An INCREDIBLY disappointing evening that was meant to celebrate two birthdays. We waited an hour for our drinks to arrive. Then another hour for our food. Every dish was cold, the soda was flat, the calamari had a rubber texture. In the small area we were seated in, THREE tables returned their food for being cold and all decided to leave rather than wait longer for the dishes to be heated up. Go anywhere else but here. Maybe the village is nice to visit but I wouldn't know.. we had to go find somewhere else to have dinner after wasting 2 hours with horrible service.
worst experience of my life. I came with my family members six of us Who were under the age of 15 and all of the adults got their food, but the children had to wait two hours and 39 minutes to get their food. Half of the things that we have ordered have run out, but they did not notify us until the rest of the food was coming. Three toilets were not flushing. my pretzel was undercooked, and my burger was cold. would never step foot into this establishment ever again.
Why the discrepancy in the overall rating and individual categories, let me explain: The food and service was wonderful. We prepaid for the required amount of guests in a certified check as requested in the amount Amanda, the banquet Sales Manager told us to a week before the event. At the end of the event, as we were preparing to leave and tip our servers an employee came up to us and said we owed $45 more dollars in front of our guests. 30 of our 45 prepaid guests actually arrived. The amount we had the certified check made out was the amount we were told by Amanda. We paid the $45 and they have now lost a customer for life over $45 for a brunch we paid over $3000 for. Bad business Milleridge Inn Poor staff training Mr Murphy is turning over in his grave
I had reservations for over a month for Sunday brunch. A few days ago I got a phone call saying that they have to close and they are canceling my reservation. I called the next business day and I got the corporate office and they said that there is nobody at the Miller Ridge Inn on Mondays. I left a message and I got a call back today and the girl was really rude. I asked her if they would be able to give us a voucher for lunch since they canceled my brunch on very short notice. It was actually my anniversary and that's how we were going to celebrate and obviously we can't do that now... the girl who spoke to me on the phone was quite rude and she says "no vouchers I gave you a courtesy phone call" I said wow, a courtesy phone call very nice. I will never ever go back to that establishment. Very disappointing. Not a good way to do business !!! UPDATE 10/19/25 I reached out via their website as the owner asked, it's been weeks and no response. Bad business.
Absolutely horrible Thanksgiving experience. Sit 3-4 people at a cocktail table. Not organized at all. Probably the most low quality terrible turkey I’ve ever had. Spiral ham burnt, didn’t even get it. Roast Beef was overly cooked and not tender. The stuffing was by far the most embarrassing thing of the whole spread. I want a cook from there to look me in the eye and tell me they’d eat that. The Mac n cheese was good, and the mashed potatoes were probably the best thing there. Chicken Franchise was basically inedible. Dessert spread was pretty laughable. Really disappointing. Been to halls for TG dinner the last ten years and this one was by far the worst. Should honestly be ashamed. I wouldn’t even pay 30 a person.
Service was awful, we were the first seated when the restaurant opened at noon. The place filled up quickly - 1 pm still no food, everyone around us had already been served. They were out of braised short-ribs as well, how do “run out” at the first seating? Last year my food was served ice cold, i gave them another try - just terrible!!
Disappointing on every level except decor and the opener- cinnamon bread was tasty. The place was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Steak was cold. Chicken was dry. Waiter disappeared. Pricey cocktail was tiny for the price. Food took 45 minutes to arrive. Too expensive for these big issues. Overall very disappointing. :-(
THE WORST. I grew up going to this restaurant, I decided to take my brothers and sisters for Thanksgiving dinner here with our kids…. it was the worst experience I’ve ever had. Their dishwasher broke, and they proceeded to give us plates with food debris on it from the previous timeslot. The buffet servers had their shoes off and were serving us with their socks on, they ran out of glassware and utensils. I’ve called multiple times and spoke with Cheryl who proceeds to give me the runaround, they will not refund us. They also forgot my daughter‘s birthday cake which we were celebrating. The whole experience was absolutely appalling, and the fact that they will not refund and LIE about the experience is truly sad. This place isn’t what it used to be. It’s dirty, and they lack any type of proper Restaurant operation.
Breakfast with Santa was terrible, especially for its price close $60 for adults and almost $40 kids. Food was bad bagels were not fresh frozen bagels, eggs terrible, coffee cold and no half n half really not even at the coffee shop in the village, dessert station really bad, plus no carving station. Only thing was good was bacon, sausage links. Santa was not even great no jolly in him not even a ho! ho! ho! He looked so sad and the cottage was decorated ok nothing special never going back here. They used to be good here years ago seems things changed over the years went here as a kid and weddings. Pretty disappointed.
⭐ 1-Star Review: Deeply Disappointing Valentine’s Day Experience I came to the Milleridge Inn for Valentine’s Day, and I should have known things were off when I waited 30 minutes past my reservation time. When I finally asked about it, I was told they had forgotten about us , even though our table had been ready the whole time. We were seated, only to wait another 30 minutes before a server finally came over. When she did, she gave my wife an attitude, which was completely unacceptable. I asked for the manager, who apologized repeatedly for his staff and assured us he would assign a new server who would be more attentive. That never happened. We waited another 15 minutes with no server in sight. At that point, we got up and walked out. We ended up having a far better experience at the Broadway Diner — which says a lot considering Milleridge was charging $89 per person for a pre-fixe Valentine’s menu. I’ve been dining at the Milleridge Inn for over 25 years, and I can confidently say this will be my last visit. It’s a shame to see a place with so much history and charm go so far downhill.
My experience at The Milleridge Inn was beyond disappointing. We were charged $325.62 for a dinner that was truly subpar — the food was poorly prepared, lacked flavor, and felt low quality across the board. For that price point, the meal should have been exceptional. Instead, it was comparable to something you’d expect at a casual chain, not a restaurant charging premium prices. I’ve genuinely paid less at major theme parks for far better food. The service only made things worse. Customer service was rude, inflexible, and completely unwilling to take responsibility. When I reached out to address the issue, I was either ignored or met with dismissiveness. There was no effort to resolve the situation or show any care for guest experience — it felt entirely about keeping the money. After getting nowhere directly, I disputed the charge. Regardless of the outcome, the fact remains: the food was unacceptable, the experience was overpriced, and the way it was handled afterward was unprofessional. I would strongly caution others before dining here.
My experience at The Milleridge Inn was unacceptable. I was charged $325.62 for a dinner that was genuinely disgusting and wildly overpriced for what was served. THEY CHARGED ME $325 BASE AND THEN THERE WAS AN UPCHARGE FOR CHEESE ON THE FRENCH ONION SOUP!!! The food was poorly prepared, low quality, and absolutely not reflective of the price point. I have paid less for lunch for 6 and DISNEY WORLD — there is no justification for what we were charged here. What made the situation worse was the customer service. It was rude, inflexible, and completely dismissive. There was zero accountability and no effort to make things right. It felt very clear that the priority was keeping the money, not caring for guests or standing behind the experience they provide. I attempted to resolve this directly and was ignored, which left me no choice but to dispute the charge. While the charge was ultimately upheld, that does not change the fact that the food, service, and overall experience were unacceptable. For the amount charged, this experience fell far below even basic expectations. I will NEVER return and would strongly caution others before spending their money here.
We had to wait twenty minutes beyond our reservation to be seated. Nobody took our drink order for 40 minutes. By the time they took our order, they were out of many food options so we had to go with our second- and third-choices. All the food that we received was under temperature or cold. The flavors were okay, but the temperature made most of the food inedible. This was easily the single worst meal I've ever had at a restaurant, and I paid $110 per person for it.
After many years of hearing about the breakfast with Santa event, I decided to book the experience for my children. To say this was a disappointment was an understatement. I paid 260 dollars for three adults and two children. My public school growing up had better food than what was served at this event. First, Santa was miserable. The face painting was sub par and the woman making the balloons kept yelling at all the children. The food was HORRIFIC for the price we paid. Everything was cheap. The orange juice was in a plastic cup with the foil pull back- reminded me of lunch at school. And it smelled like a cafeteria school. Save your money. The winter village also was terrible. Stores with barely anything inside. Staff that was rude. Don't waste your time or money. Truly disappointing.
Had our office holiday party last night. Set menu. Waitress was by herself for 24 people but did a great job. We were upstairs in a private room. Asked for Music and said she could give us a speaker to set up with our phone . We agreed then told we would have to rent it? No longer the well known pop overs but a cold roll Already at the table. Marinated skirt steak was recommended to us. All but one at our table of 8 ordered it. It was like a piece of old shoe leather. Well done and not sure what they used as marinade. Didn’t even taste salt and pepper. Such a disappointment. Barely anyone brought leftover food home due to poor quality food. Run, don’t walk away from this place. Ruined many happy and delicious meals I have had there in the past. Decorations lovely , maybe they should have better people in the kitchen so the food is palatable.
Went my birthday night, am a frequent customer. Signed up for the birthday club. Took a smaller purse as I usually do when I go out to an event. I forgot to put my license in it from my larger purse. The email for the birthday certificate stated to print out the certificate. I printed it out. I couldn't read the fine print on the certificate in email. When time to pay, they asked for ID, said the certificate states I need ID. Having this instruction in the email would be beneficial to customers, not just the cerificate. So I didnt have my ID but did have it on my phone. Manager told me if I email it to him, he'll honor the certificate. I don't ever email my ID so the certificate was not honored. It wasnt ok to just see my ID and that it was valid and was my birthday. Meanwhile, so many eyes were on my table as manager came back and forth twice. Was not a pleasant birthday dinner. Regret going there for my birthday.
It’s beautiful but if your party is upstairs just know none of it is coming to you hot or warm at the minimum. Went for a holiday party every appetizer and entree came out cold. Super disheartening. I have loved this place since I was a kid but last night for a dinner party apps at 630, dinner at 845 — somehow everything COLD — just Ewww!!
