I recently visited this place and was thoroughly impressed. The place has a nice and warm vibe, making it a welcoming spot for anyone looking to relax. The fresh, aromatic coffee is simply delightful! And their selection of light bites is both tasty and healthy. It’s an excellent place for team meetings or casual fun meet-ups. Whether you’re with family or friends, this place provides the perfect setting to unwind and enjoy great coffee together. Highly recommend!

Vibe- This is such a cute coffee shop with an island vibe, more specifically Hawaii feels. There’s green plants all around and they do have seating outside and plenty of seating inside. There is also a drive thru. Customer service- Great! Food/drinks- I got a hot matcha latte with oatmilk and lavender, it was soooo good :) it was a little pricey but I could tell the matcha had great quality Parking- There’s plenty of spots in the lot.

Not sure why I still haven't reviewed Kona Roastery since I love it every time I get coffee here. I'd be a regular here if I lived closer, but I try to get my coffee from Kona every time I want it because it hits. Every. Single. Time. I don't know how they make their drinks so good but the quality and flavor of their espresso beans and lattes are on point! My favorite drinks to order from Kona are a soy matcha iced latte, a vanilla soy latte, and a vanilla sweet cream cold brew. To top it all off, Kona has a gorgeous interior that is perfect for studying, working, reading, etc while you enjoy a delicious coffee and maybe even a musubi or a slice of cake. If you want a top tier coffee shop experience, go to Kona!

Okay. First of all, this is one of my favorite cafes in Katy because of the location and how big the cafe is. Great place to meet up with people and study. Not the quietest place to study though but there are plenty of outlets and tables that fit up to four max. I recommend the cheesecake here for the pastries. I’ve tried the carrot cake and it was just ehh. I don’t think I’ll ever order the carrot cake but definitely the cheesecake! Coffee here is pretty good. I always get the brown sugar latte. I wish they had more specialty coffees. The options of coffee is pretty plain. If i want something other than coffee, I get the Royal Kona Milk Tea. It’s sweet and really delicious. Or if I want something refreshing, I like the Grapefruitade a lot! Recommend this for little kids too. Their musubis and sandwiches are on point. I love their sandwiches (I have tried grilled chicken and turkey breast and I love both. Its pretty well made with lots of ingredients inside). I wish they kept the kitchen open a bit longer because it closes at 2pm.

Coffee and gelato ($3.50 for a small, which is pretty big) are excellent!! They're are lots cakes, but I didn't try them. The atmosphere though. It's a beautiful coffee shop. Mellow music. Excellent service. Breakfast sandwiches are available between 6am-2pm. Lunch type sandwiches and sushi is available between 8am-2pm. Plenty of parking. 2 entry points. Clean bathrooms. Open view of coffee grinding area. Decor is available for sale.

First time but not the last. They have a nice menu of coffee and little bites which to my surprise are good. Had the Avocado Musubi and it did not disappoint. One is just right if you just want to satisfy your hunger along with your Latte which was delicious. Try it.

High quality coffee and warm vibe! Never seen people were standing and talking with such happy smiles in a coffee shop. Owners and staffs are very friendly and attentive. They pleasantly serve coffees and snacks to the table. I can feel something special here that I cannot experience in big franchise coffee shops. Kona is truly the best coffee shop in our community! My the only concern is losing my warm and cozy space due to fast increasing customers. Good news is that they will soon open the second nearby. Good for our neighbors. Also fantastic texas sunset in front of the Kona. I love this place!

Nice little coffee shop if you are on this side of Houston. Interior is comfortable, staff is friendly. Can't review food, nothing was available because we came in after 3:00. Except what pastries were left.

Loved the Hawaiian vibe of this locale-the sounds, the decorations, the interior, and even the surfboard :) The Kona shops all seem to be owned by the same group, as the vibe and decorations are the same. This location has mature plants and has been around for a while. The chicken sandwich was really good. Not dry, slightly tangy with their homemade sauce and chopped chicken on a ciabatta-like roll. The drinks were okay. I love coffee, and may need to get used to the Kona flat white & cortados which are the ones I’ve had the last few times. The matcha doesn’t work for me here but again, this shop should be known for their coffee and beans which they roast in-house. The seating options here are wonderful. Varied, laid out comfortably, and were aplenty. Now, since this is a family-type, all-gen locale with people chatting, studying, working, etc. if you’re gonna have a policy of leave all your stuff at a table and we will clean up after you, then the staff needs to be mindful and quick to clean up and wipe down. We found a table and waited for them… asked them to wipe down and remove old mugs, they finally came to clean up with our order delivery. This Location had multiple staff who knew the menu and could recommend what to eat/drink. I’ve been at another location and the guy couldn’t have cared less and was on his phone texting before and after taking our order, and never cracked a smile. The ladies here were smiling, coffee drinkers, and knew the menu. The bathrooms are individual bathrooms and clean. The parking lot is adjacent to a gas station, and I almost did not stop inside, but I’m so glad I did. Four total stars, because it’s a coffee shop, but the last 2 visits at this cinco location have both had better food than coffee :)

Love the service and atmosphere but the menu is very limited in my opinion. Other than that, amazing place to go for a coffee in this area, definitely one of the best.

I was greatly anticipating the opening of your home roasted coffee shop. Unfortunately, when I tried the coffee, I started to have palpitation, as my standard for coffee is quite high. Sadly, it was not up to my expectations and let me down. Perhaps you could change the coffee beans to a higher quality, as the level of it was a bit low in coffee standards. Aside the coffee, though, I enjoyed the desserts and snacks which were very delicious. The environment was great, too, with very open and awesome space perfect for having a outing with some friends. This part makes up for the poor quality of the coffee, making it worthy of four stars. I hope to be able to give Kona Haven Coffee 5 stars soon, and enjoy both the homemade snacks and great coffee at the same time! I look forward to it the next time I go!

(I usually drink light to medium roast coffees at home via pour over/ Aeropress) I drank Kona coffee when I visited Kona (Big Island,HI) in 2024 and occasionally order beans online to make at home. I live about 30 minutes away from Kona Roastery so on 1/31/2026, I thought I'll give this shop a try while returning from my son's event nearby. I got a Kona Marlin Hand Drip and a hot Kona House brewed coffee. Both the drinks tasted like the beans were burnt during the roasting process. I chose the Marlin because it was supposed to be a light roast and it clearly had an unpleasant burnt taste. The medium roast House drip coffee also had a similar burnt taste. I tried adding extra sugar to mask the bitterness, but it didn't help much. I was disappointed. I was excited that this roastery had 7 different Kona bean options and I was planning to get a bag for home. After tasting the 2 drinks I decided not to get any. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the ambience is great. The blended coffee drinks looked very popular when I was there.

Very slow!! To get latte to go took like 15 minutes. When there wasn’t even crowded.

I figured of giving the place a try to checkout their coffee. This could be the worst flat white i’ve ever ordered. It’s a big cup of milk with tasteless coffee. Maybe the atmosphere is nice and they have other options but as a roastery, i would always judge a place for its coffee.
