Under the previous owners, this place had issues but since Jackie took over, it’s great! The food and especially the service are excellent. We suffer from a dearth of good places in Lakeway and this place is now an oasis. Just go check it out. You won’t be disappointed.
My waygu burger was so good! Also the brussel sprouts appetizer! There was some great live music on the outside deck. Service was quick and friendly
Pork belly lamb burger, salmon special 👌and craft cocktails are just the tip of why I dig this place. Service is excellent and you have some nature meeting you on the patio. Chef walked back and checked on how we enjoyed the food too! Will def be coming back
New management and a BIG difference 🙌 Food is great, music and relaxed vibes. Steak sandwich was tasty. This is now on our regular list.
1st time to this establishment! The "porch" is lovely, but I'm a heat wimp and ate inside😁. The speciality drinks are amazing. Beer drinker in our party said" fantastic" options. Smash burger 5⭐️, filet steak cooked rare to perfection 5⭐️; appetizer brussel sprouts yummy 5⭐️, what was that cheese appetizers called? Oh Well it was 5⭐️. Hey GO, TRY defiantly will enjoy. I live 100 miles away but will be making plans to return on my next drive through.
Great little spot! My husband and I are vegan and there were really great options for us on the menu. The carrots are out of this world! The bruschetta had pesto that was extremely fresh as were the tomatoes. I was very impressed with their food options and how unique their combinations were. The beer selection was also excellent. My husband had three different beers that were all very unique and in his taste palate. Definitely check out the seven spanish angels coffee beer!
Quite possibly the BEST Damn burger I have ever had (Texas Blend Bleu Burger) and my wife said her Fish and Chips were excellent as well. Cap it off with outdoor beer garden with two pooches and excellent service ! Definitely a place to come back to !
We are so grateful to Hop & Thyme for sponsoring our Sip n Shop event with a stunning (and absolutely delicious) charcuterie board! It was a huge hit and the perfect addition to the evening. A special shoutout to Andrew for always coming through and making everything so easy. Your support truly helped make our event extra memorable! If you haven’t checked out Hop & Thyme yet, you’re missing out on amazing flavors and top-notch service.

Delicious food and delightful services made for a lovely evening. I can’t wait to try out the amazing patio! The view was impressive. The oaks gave a nice shade and the fans and misters made it at least 15 degrees cooler than the ambient temperature. Can’t wait to go back.
Wanted to get the word out. Had a tasty to go dinner from Hops & Thyme this evening. My husband got the lamb/pork belly burger and said it was great! The new owners are definitely turning things around. I ordered a cheeseburger and was super happy with the freshness of everything - lettuce was crisp, tomato perfectly ripe and bun soft. Will happily return to try more.
I absolutely love the venue. It is under new ownership, and the staff, service, environment, and food are excellent! My husband and I love sitting under the trees while listening to good live music and enjoying great appetizers and libations. Give it a try! We need to keep quality neighborhood places like this in Lakeway.
The new owners and management have turned this place around into something the lakeway market has been longing for. Food is high quality and delish, prices were right. Their cocktail menu is incredible, traditional yet creative. Really excited for this new joint and looking forward to going back more.
Always great food, beverages, staff and ambience. The chicken schnitzel and asparagus with mashed potatoes is off the chart! Two words for a beverage Mango Cart.
Update: New owners really knocked out out of the park for the wife and I's Valentine's dinner. Waygu Beef Short Rib was to die for and extremely generous. The sides were hearty and the special cocktail they were serving needs to be a permanent offering if it isn't already because it was wonderful. Dessert was included and I wish we had saved room for it while we were there, but we had to take it home with us Update: Turns out we know the owners. We talked about the place and where they wanted to go with it and it sounded great, we're just haven't had time to come back. Upping the review another star because they've already made significant improvements to address the issues below. Meh. No ambiance, just hard floors and bright lights inside. Cozy or interesting, it is not. Small plates, yes, but big prices aren't justified, should be an option, not the whole menu. Baja tacos were tasty, but tiny. Beer selection is good if you like IPA, at least 2/3 of the selection is just that. I suppose that goes with the name, but not all beers with hops are IPAs.
Lots of bests going on here now since being under new ownership (and we’ve been coming here since it originally opened). Best patio seating and music (sometimes live music), Best service (Jen was our server today and she was awesome), Best burger (double smash burger with American cheese)! Give it a first try if you’ve never been and if you haven’t been in a while, get back in there now!
This restaurant and bar is a hidden gem. First, they have a great beer and wine selection. By that I mean they have many unique selections that aren't readily available elsewhere. Next, they have a scratch kitchen that serves up fantastic dishes. The menu also changes over time so each visit offers some variety. They also have a nice outdoor patio that is pet friendly. Finally, the service was outstanding. - attentive and helpful as needed. Highly recommended.
My first visit was exceptional! I initially noticed a great selection of craft beer and was given a friendly greeting by the bartender. The menu made me realize I was in for more than standard bar food. I chose the goat cheese polenta cake with salmon and it blew my mind! My compliments to the chef and every member of staff that I met for being inviting and serving me some of the best food paired with delicious beer! I'll see you again soon!
We love this place! The shady patio is comfortable to sit outside. Everyone that works there is friendly and professional. The local beer selection and cocktails are great, and the food is surprisingly good if you decide to eat while there. We last went for Sunday brunch and enjoyed some live music with great food and bloody Mary's.
We just discovered this hidden treasure! We’re always searching for restaurants that offer beautiful outdoor seating, great food, friendly people, reasonable prices, an open bar, and this place had it all AND had wonderful live music! My salmon was beautifully prepared, the vegetables were fresh and flavorful, my son & husband raved about their cheeseburgers, the bread tasted bakery-fresh, and the prices were very reasonable, especially considering the high quality! We’re so excited to have found Hops & Thyme!
Food was really good; salmon and burgers were delicious
I flew in from Seattle to visit friends that live in the area and went here to grab a bite and a beer. I was blown away by the food and I would consider myself a harsh critic because of all the travel I do for work and eating out I do. The Happy hour menu was a mouth full of flavors. Their beer selection was out of this world. A ton of options for every type of beer drinker. Wine selection was top notch as well. They had a Camus that was cheaper than you can buy at the winery. I would highly recommend this place for happy hour. I would have rated this restaurant 5 stars just because of the food and drinks here. But the part that put this place over the moon for me was the people. The staff was so kind and helpful. This is the perfect place if you want some great food with even better service. I will be back to eat here every time I come to Austin area. Thank you Hope and Tyme team!!
Do not overlook this one. Great service, Comfortable atmosphere, nice deck, good local beers on draft, great value on good wines and the food is fantastic. Very well thought out menu down to the last ingredient. You can tell the chef has a passion for food. Don't miss the charred carrots and definitely try what is on special.
My husband and I split the Wagyu burger. Double patties plus bacon. Tender, juicy and very tasty. The server actually split it for us, which was very thoughtful! The cocktail I had was quite good as well. We weren't going to order dessert but then she said churros. Excellent!
This place has been one of my fave stops for wings, amazing beer and great service for over 3 years! Ren is my absolute favorite and she's the reason I come back time and time again. If you're in the area and you want great food with great service this is the place to stop!
Super friendly staff!! Keilany and Armando are two of the very best! Any time I see either of them working, I know it’s going to be a top tier experience! Great patio- sometimes they even have live music!! So fun
Great outdoor seating with misting fans, the food is excellent, the service is great as well. My new favorite summer drink is the coconut cranberry margarita. Don't miss the 5 dollar burgers on Tuesday night!
Awesome happy hour, nice deck that's dog friendly. Tuesdays Smash Burger discounts are fantastic!
Been going here for some time and love it every time! New owners took over and made some great improvements, making it an awesome place to hang out! Great food, great drink selections and new drinks being created all the time. The atmosphere is great including live music and monthly events. The staff there are knowledgable and provide great service!
Friendly staff, quick service, and great food! We went on a Sunday and our table got: pretzels, smashburger, Caesar salad, apple French toast, pancakes, bacon, and biscuits and gravy. Everything was tasty! The only complaint was the bacon was a bit too cooked, which is pretty minor.
The food and atmosphere are amazing! Jacque and her staff are very attentive, and accommodating. I’m here at least twice a week. Kudos to the kitchen, the Smashburger is my favorite! Ryn, the bartender also has some crazy cocktail creations on deck. 10 out of 10 would recommend!🫶🫶
Can’t go wrong by Hops and Thyme doing your catering! We catered our sons UT graduation party, and they were spectacular. Right on time with more food than we could eat! Great sandwiches, salads, even had plenty of options for our vegan friends. The price was very reasonable and everyone was more than happy!
Very pleasantly surprised by the food and service at this place. The menu wasn’t extremely exciting. We ordered a burger and the new curry chili. Both were excellent! The food came out of the kitchen hot and freshly made. The beer selection was good from breweries in the area and from around the country. I do wish the beers had more flowery descriptions on the online menu. The service was top notch! The servers were always available to take more drink orders and were very attentive. We spilled a drink and the server for another table helped us clean it up. Great teamwork! The ambiance was wonderful on the patio with an older couple performing romantic live music, but not too loud so we couldn’t have a conversation over the music. This was a relaxing hang-out spot on a Wednesday evening after a hike.
To say this place is a hidden gem would be an understatement. They have a classically trained chef, named Chip VanNostrand who is phenomenal. I had a Banana Old-Fashioned cocktail and Fish-n-Chips. The cocktail was great and the Fish-n-Chips would win any national contest, guaranteed!! The Tartar Sauce alone (of course, hand made by Chip) would win contests. This is a small place so a dinner reservation wouldn’t hurt but I was there for lunch and, no problem. BTW, the bartender was named Jenn and she cook rock any bar in the world. To say I was impressed would be the truth!!!
This is a really warm and welcoming place. Great staff! Great food! The help out causes and they’re locally owned. It’s a great neighborhood hang out.
We enjoyed the Thursday live music outside. Great beer and cocktail selection. My wife and I both had there smash burger and can't wait to try there other menu items next time! A definite go too place for us now!
This place is an absolute gem! Their smash burgers are something special! Heaters outside in the winter. Live Music. The proprietors are Lakeway’s own. Service is fantastic!
Great local spot - we went with a few kids and families after a soccer game and sat outside. Lovely atmosphere, including with live music and pretty strong lights. The food was solid (we got the burger, sausage plate, and others got the salmon and arrancini balls)—one note: if you ask for marinara on pasta off of the kids menu just know the sauce is oddly pretty spicy.
Good happy hour for the beer and wine and the food was great for the price. Easy spot for a neighborhood bar
Steak sandwich was so fresh. They have a ton of great beer selections on tap and the staff is friendly.
We really enjoy H&T. In fair weather, the outdoor seating is some of the best in the area, with a chance to catch live music, a sunset, and chill vibes. Wednesday evening trivia is a good time, staff is friendly and attentive, and the menu variety is wide enough that I can take the whole family, including one vegetarian and one “anti-vegetarian”. Food is good. Sometimes inconsistent in quality, it is sometimes excellent and other times above average. Never bad. Even with this small yet occasional quibble, it remains one of our favs in Lakeway.
Loved my evening here! The chicken schnitzel was perfect! My boyfriend loved his beers! We enjoyed the beautiful evening on the patio with guy playing his guitar! Very pleased 😀
The food was excellent! Do NOT skip the fried cornbread appetizer—it’s a MUST! The house-made honey butter paired with the fried cornbread is pure genius. The flavors were incredible, and I’m obsessed with that appetizer. The Asian Chicken Salad was delicious and full of flavor, and the Hot Honey Grilled Chicken Sandwich totally hit the spot. I prefer my fries a little crispier, but they were decent. The service was great, and the ambiance was casual. They also have outdoor seating on the patio.
I love this place. I am a creature of habit and when I find a restaurant with good food, a large selection of tap beer and amazing customer service, I rarely venture out from there. The owner (Jackie) has several businesses and she knows what she is doing. The food offerings are the basic pub fair to the complex and the cooks/chefs they have are top notch. Nothing is bad here. They have $1 wings during football (perfectly cooked, many flavors and are large) and $5 smash burger plates on Tuesday. There is a brunch on Sundays where you can get all your breakfast flavors. The people working there…..Mel, Natalie and Shane and others are the sweetest people. I had only gone there once and when a server named Mel saw me the next time she addressed me by name and without me asking brought the beer she remembered I liked. Where do you get service like this these days? No where! I highly recommend this establishment.
Stopped by for a quick bite and enjoyed an awesome old fashioned and a delicious steak sandwich with fries. We were visiting friends and exploring - I had some time and needed to grab a bite. I’d been here in the past - and it’s always been solid. I highly recommend this local eatery to locals and visitors!!
A friend and I recently had a fantastic lunch at Hops & Thyme. We chose a spot on the beautiful patio, enjoying the fresh air under some shade trees. Everything about the experience was top-notch! The entire restaurant was clean and inviting, with a great overall vibe. Prices are fair for the quality and portion size – my salad was around $16. The food came out super fast, which was great considering we were hungry. My classic wedge salad with grilled chicken was delicious. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, and their blue cheese dressing was really fresh. My friend said his tacos were also super good! It's not the most keto-friendly menu, but for those of us eating low carb, they do have options and are super accommodating with any dietary needs. Big plus! Our waitress, Ryn, deserves a shoutout! She was friendly, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. She checked in with us frequently, never let our water cups run low, and was so sweet and helpful in answering all of my many questions. Highly recommend Hops & Thyme for a delicious meal and fantastic service! Sorry about the super fast videos 😂
Loved the food. The host was warm and made sure that we were taken care of properly. The highlight was the awesome mocktail the bartender made - just asked me what kind of flavors I liked and worked their magic. The food was delicious! We went there for lunch and sat outside. It was the perfect view and setup.
Gosh, I love this place so much. I feel like all the negative reviews are just people who don’t know how to use Google reviews lol. The staff will remember you & remember your preferences, The food will keep you coming back, The drinks are fun and delicious, The specials will have you making sure you don’t miss a beat. Come here. Be a regular. Attend the live music on tuesdays. You’ll never find a friendlier neighborhood spot.
Absolutely love this place!! One of the best / beautiful patios around the area. The owner, Eric Von Witbeck is very welcoming and the staff are just as amazing. Add an amazing beer + whiskey selection, AWESOME LIVE MUSIC, and food that will bring you tons of gastronomical pleasures...this place is 5 stars in my book! Oh yeah, dog friendly to boot!!
Great place for food and atmosphere. The food was EXCELLENT! Definitely high quality gastro pub fare. Had the Brussel sprouts and cornbread for starters and Fish and Chips. All were fantastic. We brought out dogs, sat on the patio and there was live music (extra bonus for supporting musicians!!) Our waitress was new but very attentive despite the crowd and really looked after us.
We're new to the area and my wife and I have passed by a few times. we stopped in for lunch. the service was friendly. The lunch menu was pretty good. I'd rather a spot have a few items they do really well, than a bunch of items they do just "ok". the menu here has fewer options, but they all seemed to be done really well. they also have live music and are kid friendly. that's a plus for us.
Our first visit to Hops and Thyme! We sat outside and enjoyed a dinner meal on the patio; great beer and wine selection to compliment our meals. I had the salmon on a bed of spinach and risotto, the salmon was cooked perfectly and the creamy risotto was delightful complimented with a Dragons Milk Stout.
Almost felt like a secret hideaway in the middle of the city. Their patio is gorgeous with picnic benches or booths with live oaks growing in the center. The food is delicious, I had the chicken pesto and wasn't disappointed. Plenty of craft brews from beers to ciders on tap or available by the can/bottle. Planning on going back for another soon.
We tried Hops & Thyme since the new management took over. Different menu which was welcoming. I loved the bratwurst and pretzel plate. Delish! We ordered delivery so my only suggestion is not to put the pretzel in with the rest of the entree. Gets soggy. Had to toast it up. The chicken wings were good. A different twist. Would order from them again.
My husband and I stopped by here on a Friday night and were seated immediately. The heaters outside made the patio cozy on a cool evening. Our waitress was great and our food came out quickly. The brussel sprouts were tasty. I enjoyed my burger - it was cooked the way I asked, however, the ketchup kind of ruined the burger and fries. Petty? Maybe. But it seriously was not good. I also had a glass of Cabernet ($15) and it also was not good. I ended up leaving most of it and drinking the water instead. I did not raise my concerns with the waitress, so it wouldn’t be fair to leave a bad review if I didn’t do my part. Based on this experience, I probably won’t be back.
Food was good and the outdoor seating is great given the current covid-19 situation. Suggestions would be to have operable heaters for your guests outside and to staff appropriately. It was clear that our server was wearing the hat of 3 different jobs and was overwhelmed. I'm excited to return and try other items on the menu.
Nice patio. Friendly service. Delicious food and beer.
Great outdoor patio. Food was okay and the beer selection was pretty good. I’d definitely go back.
I am changing my original review from take out. Although my burger seemed a bit smaller, when I picked it up it was tasty. This is a nice local restaurant/ bar and the staff here are very nice,as well as management 😀..We will be returning soon to enjoy the nice outside area for dinner 🤗
Had a great time out on the patio, it was a bit hot and we asked for the fans to be turned on a couple of times and when we did the misters made it feel like we were in The Rainforest Cafè, we didn’t know that was going to happen so it took us by surprise! We laughed it off and covered our plates when the fan would throw a bunch of mist our way. Other than that, the food is FANTASTIC, but they never filled up our water cups and like I said it was pretty warm outside and we were there for about 2 hours. We will definitely be back and would still recommend to friends and family. Gorgeous area and friendly staff.
Place has changed their menu, have a few nice things on it. Ordered what was listed as TX Chili.....came out ice cold and it wasn't chili at all...it was some weird curry version and I'm not sure what kind of meat. Was horrible, waited over 20 min for the waitress to come back for her just to take the bowl. 10 minutes later she comes back to the table with the credit card machine asking if I would like something else to replace it. The rest of the table had long been done eating, and she was ready to cash us out when she came back. No drink refills, not any beer, nothing. I've been there in the past and had a better, not stellar, but better experience, maybe this was the last.
The food and drinks were good. The server was friendly and busy and our food came out fast. But no one came by to ask us if we wanted a second drink or ask us how the food was to give us an opportunity to ask for another drink after having just one round and ordering an appetizer and entrees. I would have liked another drink with my food but instead ate my spicy shrimp tacos with water.. the server came once we were pretty much done, too late, no thanks..
Not impressed, had to sit inside where you could see the mess/storage. Asian Salad was bagged coleslaw and few other veggies with a slice of chicken cooked and very dry. Hamburger and fries pretty good. The charcuterie board was ok, no special meats. Filled in space with a pile of picked onions.
My husband and I were so excited to try this place out last weekend and were incredibly disappointed. Other than the live music which was fabulous, the service was less than par. We sat at the bar and the bartender was rude, passive, and entitled. Not friendly and in no hurry to put anyone’s orders (in that we decided to close our tab and eat dinner at Cho instead). We could over hear others sitting around us wondering where the food or check was.
First time patron. Food was marginal somewhat pricey for what was offered. Chicken was dry over cooked. Wife and daughter had a specialty raspberry drink that neither of them could drink. Sorry won't be back. Lakeway has other really great restuarants.
We ordered takeout and arrived to pick it up right at the scheduled time of 8:40 PM. While I understand it was close to closing time and some of that timing is on us, we were really disappointed with the quality of the food when we got home. Everything was ice cold. I had the carne asada tacos, which had very little meat and was cold, and my son experienced the same issue with the shrimp tacos. My fiancé ordered the hot honey chicken sandwich, and unfortunately, the fried chicken was soggy, cold, and noticeably smaller than the bun. The fries were also cold and soggy. I get that it’s the end of the night, but with entrees averaging around $16, I expected the food to at least be warm—especially if it had been sitting in a warmer. It just didn’t meet the standard we were hoping for.
At best "Meh." Great selection of beer, hit and miss food, and bumbling service (that's putting it nicely). Prices are way too high for the combined value. The pancakes were great, with three flavors of syrup to choose from. The chicken tacos could have been great except for the tortillas which disintegrated by the first bite leaving a pile instead of a well plated dish. The cheeseburger was laughably bad. Not prepared poorly(the order was messed up, but that was probably the server not the kitchen). The food quality was discount supermarket bad. A brioche bun similar to the brioche bun Burger King advertises. The produce was passable but the meat could have been a bar coaster. Had they served a bar coaster it may have been better. The service was bumbling and incompetent. They messed up the order and disappeared. The food runner acted like she was doing us a favor bringing out the food. Had to get up, find our server, and ask for condiments to salvage the burger. Had to ask for more drinks, who knew a bar doesn't want you to have a second round. We also had to ask for water over and over. You'd be better off grabbing a six-pack from a gas station and getting Sonic on your way home. Save a lot of money and get better service. We should have known when the place was empty as we walked in. Guess if you're looking for a bar where you can drink good beer alone this is the place. Pro tip: Sit at the bar, less chance they'll mess up the pour.
Replying to the comment: we were there before the fundraiser, based on timing of your response. Based on cooking times, you either have a lot of half-cooked prepped dishes, including precooked meats, microwaves (didn't see or hear those: great!) or you have true wizards in the kitchen. I'll leave it to to the reader to decide. Pulling down a star for the weak excuses. The staff works hard there, but this is a managerial issue (as is usually the case). Initial review: This is not a restaurant, this is a bar with a kitchen. The website presentation is a bit more "upscale" than the run down bar inside. We got our food fast. I mean, 5 minutes or less. So you know that means all the meat is precooked as well. The menus were dirty and greasy. The back tables serve as storage for whatever stuff. At least the kitchen is open. The staff seems to do their best and was friendly, so this is a management issue. The dishes are interesting, but I'm going to skip. It just felt dirty.
Came in for dinner with friends and was shocked to see the bartender and at least one server openly drinking alcohol during their shift. This wasn't just a quick taste-test - they were having full drinks while serving customers. The food was okay, but watching staff get progressively more intoxicated throughout the evening was extremely uncomfortable. Other diners noticed too. This is basic restaurant professionalism 101. Won't be returning.
Had brunch there today. Worst waffles and chicken we've ever had. The waffles were hard and overcooked, the chicken was dry and almost burned, the syrup tasted like Karo. Spend some money and get real maple syrup! My friend had ham Benedict, he rated it 4 out of 10. Came to the table cold. My wife's breakfast sandwich was another 4 out of 5. Sad, because the staff was really nice and the place itself was inviting. Hire a new chef!!!
First time here. I said to my husband this place would be great for "Bar Rescue" with Jon Taffer. There was a staffer at the back table vaping. During the course of our meal about 4-5 people took shots behind the bar. I believe the AC was out, which is horrible in the summer in Texas. I ordered a caesar salad and like many reviews it was half of a wilted romaine and rubbery chicken. The worst salad I've ever had. When I told the waitress about it she nicely said she could swap it out. Because the kitchen is in the restaurant and my chair was facing it, I could see as she took it back that about 8 staffers all turned to look at me at the same time making me extremely uncomfortable. Finally, the card reader was programmed to leave a 30% tip when we paid the bill. All these issues have left me with the decision not to revisit this establishment.
Food was ok. Staff were drinking at the bar while one of them vaped in the corner. It was pretty low brow. Beer was warm and we had to return one of our dishes. The server's device was defaulted to a 30% tip. Will not be going back again.
I’m not quite sure what happened tonight. One month ago we visited this restaurant and couldn’t wait to return. As a local business owner, my family loves to support other local businesses. Tonight....I’m not sure my family will ever go back. The service was not good (I will say we didn’t have the same waiter we had last time, he was great). Our Waitress was essentially non-attentive, I mean I had to go in and ask for the check. The food took almost 45 minutes to arrive. We started with the fried cornbread which was to die for last visit. Tonight it was like eating chunks of rocks. Overcooked and tasteless and the size of the pieces was much different than last time, way too small. We ordered an Asian chopped salad with chicken ($17 total and it was like a $4 salad from Applebee’s!) The pineapple came out of a can, although they claimed it was real, the lettuce was bad and simply put it should not be called what it is called. The Brussels sprouts were basically flakes and nothing ‘meaty’ about them. We’ve never left as much food on a table as we did tonight. Also, and this is only for mention, but they allow smoking on the outdoor patio. I wasn’t sure if this was allowed so I’m only making mention of it. It was rather putrid as they were sitting upwind from us in front of one of the fans on the perimeter of the patio. I hate to leave negative reviews but if the owners weren’t there they need to be aware of this experience. I won’t say don’t give them a shot, just be aware it may not live up to what you may have heard.
We visited over a year ago and had a great experience. Tonight was a completely different story. We arrived tonight at 6:50PM for the prime rib. We waited at least 20 min for a table. The host pointed at our table and led us there half the way (not a proper seating). Waitress eventually came (maybe 10 min wait). While we were ordering, the host was calling my cell letting me know my table was ready although I was already seated. We ordered our food and drinks at 6:20. I had to go to the bar at around 7 because our drinks still hadn't arrived! I was informed by our server (who was also making drinks) that they were out of clean glasses. We eventually received our drinks and by 7:30, I asked where our appetizer and entree were...waitress said they would come out soon. By 8, I asked for our food to be cancelled since I still hadn't even received the appetizer. Manager came out to say he can bring food within few minutes if I were willing to wait...so we did. 16oz prime rib arrived (with a dinner knife, no steak knife - was not fun sawing into my fatty steak tonight) and it looked fantastic but half of it was fatty and not worth the price-point. Wings were comped. After spending over 3 hours here, we will NOT be returning. Such a beautiful patio, great location but this place needs better service, better cooks (restaurant was filled with smoke when we arrived, I was also informed cook cut himself in the kitchen) and better management, better host. Too many people playing multiple roles, caused an unorganized mess tonight. Super disappointed. Edit: just looked at my receipt and the "ordered time" is 7:25 - probably was rung in wrong. Happy to show manager the receipt (shows closeout time of 9:12PM) and time host called my cell if you want proof of this insane amount of time wasted.
I would definitely never return to that place, the food was cold, the coleslaw that accompanied the shrimp tacos was days old, not fresh, dry and dark. The bathrooms were very dirty and the manager was very rude. I don't recommend it, I preferred not to eat anymore, I paid the corresponding amount and left the place.
My husband and I went in today based on the good reviews, that was a mistake. The appetizer of fried cornbread was closer to fried croutons (we didn't finish) and the wings had no flavor. I originally wanted the shrimp chimmichuri but they didn't have the spinach to put in the pasta. The waiter we had informed me that without it the pasta wouldn't taste good. I said ok so I'll take the steak chimmichuri; y'all the steak was rubber and missing the chimmichuri. All, I could eat was the arugula and fries. Now mind you that was $29.00 for the steak alone and I left it there. The waiter didn't offer any type of compensation and didn't seem to really know how to host for a very dissatisfied customer. My husband ordered the smash burger and that had enough grilled onions piled on that he had to pull them off. The fries had no seasoning. The best thing they had was the beer my husband ordered. I should have known to leave when the Arnold Palmer tasting bad. Hopefully management reads these reviews and fixes the issue. P.S. the hostess was nice
I had the most rip-off meal. I ordered a portobello sandwich. The sandwich came with 3 little pieces of finely chopped portobello mushrooms on each side. It’s not how portobello mushroom sandwiches are done! The whole thing is light as feather. I was also charged $3 for substitution, which the waiter didn’t even tell me. So I paid $19 for this meal that has about 1.5 little mushroom cloves in it. My husband ordered a mocktail that was served in a shot glass and topped with ice, which costs $8. Won’t be back!
