The salsa at El Meson is one of a kind and starts your meal of right. Today I had the guisada de res with a side of fideo. This fideo is really good. Carne was tender and tasty. Exceptional meal. One very small observation/ complaint. Why are you served with plastic utensils? The plates, bowls, etc are not disposable, so why use disposable forks and spoons? Not only environmentally irresponsible, but it cheapens the experience. This isn’t a fast food or taco truck. This meal is much better than to be eaten with plastic.

This place has the best food ever! My favorite is the Chile rellenos. I'm only giving 4 stars because it's a small place and lunch time gets really crowded which is fine but it is super hot in there; uncomfortably hot. The lemonade is great, too. Staff is very friendly. When you walk in you get a sense that everyone knows everyone there.

The food is delicious, however, there’s no dining in like before. This is so inconvenient for those that travel to Laredo and would not have a place to sit and dine. If you sat and dined the chips and salsa, we’re complementary know they’re not.

Customer service impecable, food delicious. On the flip side it got pricey, but for a special day of indulgence I guess is ok. If you are in Laredo and want to try something different, you might want to check this place out.

The location sux. The food is good, prices are a little on the high side. The place needs a better vent system because once you leave the restaurant the odor of grease will linger onto your clothes for the rest of the day. They rush you to leave if you're there during a busy lunch hour. They need a better and bigger sign as well. Need to move to a better location with much better parking.

The food is ok, it’s pricey and the customer service is really bad. I understand they work all day and have a bunch of orders but so do we. We all have jobs and we don’t come in with an attitude like they do. The guy who gave me my food just started to argue with me. I don’t care if he he had a bad day, I had a bad day too. Not going there anymore.

Came here after I saw that it had tons of great reviews on google. We were here for the day from out-of-town and needed a yummy bite. The place was difficult to find given the construction. Now let me be clear that is NOT what earned them one star! The food did! The chicken dish I ordered was awful! The cream of mushroom sauce was terrible. The chicken tasted like it had been boiled rather than grilled for more flavor. The veggies were nuked to a wonderfully dehydrated nutritionless existence. BUT the staff is super sweet and very accommodating. The place IS quaint and charming. The prices are unreasonably high given what you get! I was very disappointed and wanted to like it but truth be told my dish was terrible to say the least.
